Ella Ryans

I could see light coming through the bushes. "Oh thank the heavens," I rushed towards the light breaking through the bushes and into a plain of grass. I couldn't help but grin, no more forest for me!

Teddiursa rushed out after me falling over a branch. His honey pot fell to the ground, most of his honey spilling to the ground. I walked over towards him, but someone beat me to it.

A girl picked up the honey pot trying to get as much of the honey back into the pot. Teddiursa's eyes shook with tears, grabbing at the pot he shoved his hands into and began to spoon it into him mouth.

Pichu jumped off of my head and rushed towards the raichu standing beside the girl. He stared at it awkwardly, walking around the large electric mouse till he got a full view.
"Thank you so much," I said picking teddiursa up off of the floor. It squirmed in my hold, licking its top lip for the sticky residue.

"No problem," The laughed smiling down at pichu as he began to circle her.
"I'm Ella by the way. What are you doing up here, instead of following the path?" I asked straightening the bandana upon my head.

Name: Jessie

Gender: Female

Hometown: Goldenrod City, Jhonto Region.

Description: Always wears her hair in two ponytails with ribbons in them to keep it out of her eyes whilst battling. She wears lightweight but practical clothes. She has high ankles boots for walking because she prefers not to fly.

History: She has collected all of the Johto badges and is currently heading for the pokemon league. She is a good friend of Whitney the whiney Goldenrod gym leader and is one of the only people who can calm her down during one of her strops.

Personality: She is kindhearted and she hates what Team Rocket are doing to pokemon. Once she has taken on the pokemon league she is going to try and stop them instead of pursuing her dream of becoming ultimate pokemon master. She is also easy-going and is quite happy to have friends on her journey.

Pokemon
1: #157 Typhlosion
Moves: Eruption, Flamethrower, Earthquake, Lava, Plume
Jessie has a great relationship with her Typlosion as he was her first pokemon. They have been through a lot together, the biggest challenge of all is yet to come.

2:#445 Garchomp
Moves: Dragon Claw, Dragon Rush, Giga Impact, Earth Power.
Garchomp is a more recent addition to Jessie team having traded it for her Steelix, but they still get on really well.

3:#181 Ampharos
Moves: Discharge, Thunder, Light Screen, Brick Break.
Jessie caught a little girl Mareep very early on on her journey and has watched it grow and mature. They have almost as good a relationship as her and Typlosion.

4:#062 Poliwrath
Moves: Belly Drum, Hypnosis, Dynamic Punch, Bubblebeam
Poliwrath can be a little sour towards Jessie but generally he does what she says, she is trying to build on their relationship by doing more with her Poliwrath.

5:#018 Pidgeot
Moves: Air Slash, Fly, HyperBeam, Bravebird
Pidgeot was caught as a Pidgeotto and is a good friend to Jessie. Pidgeot gets annoyed with Jessie sometimes because she refuses to fly.

6:#227 Skarmory
Moves: Steel Wing, Air Slash, Flash Cannon, Dark Pulse
Skarmory was a pokemon that Jessie found at last minute, but he has intergrated well into her team.

Jessie

I woke up and yawned. I glanced at my calender and got out of bed quickly. Today was the day that I would head for the Pokemon League. I got dressed quickly and ran downstairs to find my mother had breakfast on the table. I patted Typlosion as I passed and sat down. Pidgeot stood beside me and I threw her some titbits.

"Have you packed your bag?" Mum called from the kitchen.

"Yes," I called back through a mouthful of food. I had packed last night and I was all set.

I finished my food and went upstairs to get my bags. I slung them over my shoulder and placed my pokeballs in my belt. I ran back downstairs and ran down into the kitchen. i returned all of my pokemon but Poliwrath and turned to my mum.

"Good luck sweetheart, I know you will do well."

"Thanks mum!" I said throwing my arms around her. She pushed me gently out of the back door.

"Go get em' Jessie!"
Thinking about what you COULD achieve will get you no where. You've got to chase your dreams.

With Dragonite's speed we were over Ecruteak city within an hour. The city was large and old fashioned, still steeped in its old beliefs. To the south I could see the Kimono Girls dance studio, to the Northwest was the Burnt Tower, and to the North was the Tin Tower. Suddenly, Dragnite stopped, nearly throwing me off.

"What was that for?" I asked, but Dragonite simply let out a bellow and pointed to the Tin Tower. I don't know how I didn't notice it before, but looming next to the giant tower floated a giant blimp. "Team Rocket," I growled when I saw he R on the side of it.

A burst of flames erupted from the near the ship. Then a pokemon that seemed to be made out of golden light flew out from around the blimp chased by hundreds of Flying-type pokemon. I pulled out my pokedex and listened to the entry.

"Ho-oh, a legendary pokemon. It is said that this pokemon flies the world's skies continuously on its magnificent seven-colored wings, showing itself to only trainers that are pure of heart."

"Dragonite, use Hyper Beam on those Pokemon chasing it." Dragonite took a deep breath and released a powerful beam of energy, knocking half the bird pokemon out of the sky. "Take us over to the tower."

When we landed there were already too people there. One I already knew as the Ecruteak Gym Leader, Morty, but the other one was new."

"Was that you?" Morty asked.

I nodded and grabbed my other two pokeballs. "Go Salamence! Go Flygon!" Salamence and Flygon erupted from their pokeballs in the air, flying. "See what you can do about helping Ho-oh, but don't burn down the blimp, the gases will burn setting the city on fire." They roared in acknowledgment, and flew toward Ho-oh.

"Quick, Saur ,Muddy, go steal a ride," I commanded. Muddy quickly jumped onto Flygon, and Saur used Vine Whip to grab onto Salamance. "Krow, think you can handle Explo?"

"Krow," the bird said simply, and picked up Explotaro. For his size, Krow was abnormally strong. A trainer, who like many had lost to the Elite four, had abandoned him on his way back home, blaming him for losing. My parents had a lot of Pokemon back home who had been in the same situation, so I took him in.

"Hope you don't mind my Pokemon piggybacking," I said. He didn't reply, so I figured he didn't. His Dragonite let out a roar, and flapped his wings. The kid jumped onto the back of his Pokemon, and I made a quick, snap decision. I jumped on his Pokemon. "Hey, what's up man."

Amelia:

Glaring at the Team Rocket members, I returned Pikachu and Treecko (who just fainted) to their Poke-balls and sent out Growlithe. Tropius was already battling their Armaldo. I had to wonder where they got it from, it was the evolved form of Anorith, which revived from a fossil. I was pretty such of that.

The other Team Rocket guy brought a Walrein and Growlithe attacked it with Take Down. I pulled Vulpix back and looked towards Tropius.

"Tropius!" I called. "Solarbeam!" Tropius nodded and pulled back, using Solarbeam on the Armaldo. It fainted and it's owner glared at me, calling his Pokemon back to a Poke-ball.

"Vulpix!" I whirled towards my Pokemon, noticing Vulpix going after a Team Rocket Vaporeon.

"Vulpix!" I yelled just as the other Pokemon used Hydro Pump. Uh oh. Vulpix fainted and I ran for her. I picked up her up and looked around just as Growlithe fainted too and Team Rocket got away with the Rayquaza.

I swore and stood up, returning my Pokemon to their Poke-balls. I left Tropius out and jumped up on his back, holding Vulpix against my me as Tropius took off.

"They got the legendary Pokemon, Tropius," I muttered as he flew. "Team Rocket can't get away with that!"

I was nearing the Pokemon league when my Pokedex beeped at me. I dug it out of my pocket and flipped it open, answering the communication call. It was Morty from Jhoto.

"What is it?" I asked. I knew Morty was an old friend of the family's but that was it.

"Team Rocket are here! At Tin Tower," he said. I squinted at the screen, trying to make out his blurred face. "They're trying to steal a Ho-oh. Legendary Pokemon, Amelia." He said when he realised I was giving him a blank look.

"Oh," I said and then it clicked. "What the... They just got away with a Rayquaza here in Hoenn!"

"You better get over here, Amelia," Morty said. "These guys need help."

"I can't," I insisted. "All my Pokemon but Tropius have fainted. I need to get to a Pokemon Centre."

"Alright, Amelia," Morty said and then the screen went blank. I sighed and looked up to see the Pokemon league looming up in front of me.

Here goes nothing, I thought and directed Tropius towards the ground. I was left with a few questions though. What was Team Rocket doing capturing legendary Pokemon? In not just Hoenn, but Jhoto too? This screamed trouble...

Callie

"Don't mention it," Callie said. "I'm Calina, but you can call me Callie."

She paused at the Ella's question. "Oh, I've just decided to rest today. My Charizard is one lazy bum and he won't fly me anywhere. I'm hoping that this will help him."

She, and Callie caught eye of the girl's frightened Pichu. Raichu was trying to pet it, but he was shivering.

"Pii--pi-pichu," he said.

"Raiichu?" Raichu asked, confused.

Callie laughed. "You'll evolve her, I'm assuming?"

"I don't know," Ella said. "Maybe."

Dranonite flew over to the blimp with the stranger and I on his back and landed on the roof. I jumped off and waited for the guy to get off. "Dragonite, stay here." I scanned the surface of the blimp and found what I was looking for, an entrance.

"What're we doing up here?" the guy who follwed me asked. Without answering, I opened the hatch and jumped in, landing on a walkway ten feet down. "Are you going to tell me what you're doing so I can help you?" the guy asked again climbing down the ladder.

I sighed, and without turning I said, "I'm going to try to get the ship away from here, and it'd be best if you didn't follow me. You'll only get in my way." I walked deeper into the ship, leaving the guy behind.

"Ditto, transform into Dodrio"

Ditto shapeshifted and I quickly hopped on Ditto's back and he started running as fast as he could, following the red, yellow, and blue trails of the pokemon flying above us. We were actually catching up, believe it or not. But the legendary birds didn't usually run with a trail like this. Something was up. They were flying straight east, right into Johto.

They didn't usually do this. Articuno usually stayed in the Seafoam Islands, Moltres was always underground, and since the powerplant got commercialized, Zapdos stayed around on top of Mt. Moon. Something was getting their attention. I thought back on my knowledge of the legendaries. These three birds were all connected to Lugia and Ho-oh. I think one of those two were in trouble, and the three were going in to help.

The running was long, but Ditto always had plenty of endurance. Besides, his quick powder helped him run just that little bit faster. We ran out of Kanto and straight into Johto, making it to Goldenrod before the birds turned left. They were heading to Ecruteak, no question. Something was up with Ho-oh, and Articuno Zapdos and Moltres were trying to help. What was the trouble? What could possibly be happening?

Ditto couldn't run with me on his back for much longer. He was a little tired, but the busy streets of Goldenrod were tough to go fast in. I put him back in his pokeball and we started wandering the city, thinking too myself. The last time I found legendary pokemon, it was in the Orre region. The legendary dogs were being captured by force with the help of some snagging machine, and somebody was trying to get them back. I remember that I even saw Entei freed and running back to Johto, giving off a loud howl. It was an amazing moment.

Something looked different in Goldenrod...people were quiet, there were some guys in uniforms blocking off a lot of places, I couldn't even get on the Magnet Train. One of the only smiling faces I saw was from an old friend of mine, Whitney, who was running out of her gym. She was waving to me.

"What're you doing here, Gene?"

"Uh..." I didn't want to say 'looking for legendaries'. That's a pretty bold thing to say. They were legendaries, after all. I wanted them to be free, and there were better ways to go about being a good trainer. Legendaries weren't usually my ambition. "Just wandering around, I suppose. Is something going on here?"

"You didn't hear?"

"Hear what?"

"Team Rocket"

I was pretty surprised. I hadn't seen anybody in TR in ages. Probably staying underground until it could come up with a plan...wait a second, Ho-oh in trouble, it was probably them. I had to get going. These guys were nightmares of trainers, especially Giovanni. It was pretty self explanitory now on why the town was overrun with the criminals; new base.

"Can I head inside for a while? We've been running for a while. I could really use a shower"

Whitney sniffed the air and took a step away from me. We headed into the gym, and I took a load off for a while. Something was happening, and it was going to be another glorious effort I could try and fight. But I needed some help. I pulled out the PokeGear, and started sorting through the phone numbers. I was friends with all the gym leaders from Kanto to Sinnoh (except Falkner and Bugsy. Falkner was just a little too antisocial, and Bugsy...well, I got in trouble with him when I thought he was a girl the first time I saw him. I swear, he is the most feminine looking guy I've ever seen). I didn't take the challenge in all of the regions, but I knew and fought just about all of them. I just liked to travel.

There was one person I knew that needed some excitement. She was busy for far too long periods of time, and she owed me a favor anyway. I dialed her number, and she picked up.

"Sabrina?"

"Yes"

"It's Gene"

Silence. She never was the chatty type.

"How fast can you get to Goldenrod?"

"Do you need me for something?"

"Yeah, and I could use a second hand"

"Did you ever stop and think I was busy?"

"Yeah, and you never are"

Silence.

"Alright, I'll be there in a few hours"

And so I waited.

Wow, I got totally carried away with this post. I didn't think I could write this long, but consider my avatar...I am a pokemon freak. I think I could go on for hours on this story. Look, the point of this is that Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are going Ecruteak to try and help Ho-oh, and I'm waiting for the gym leader Sabrina to join me in my own conquest. I guess I'll be back with a longer post later. Have a lucky day!

Yann Preston
Finally, Yann thought as he raced down the flat expanses of Route 44, ever-faithful Arcanine just ahead, muzzle low to the ground as he followed the scent trail they'd been tracking for so long. Finally they'd managed to get a fix on those wonderful, beautiful, absolutely maddeningly frustrating Pokemon. From the glimpses he'd caught earlier, before he'd been outran, he thought this was Raikou. It was difficult to say with them, though the very lack of precise sightings had been one of the reasons why he'd been so sure one of them was currently roaming this particular area. Good thing there were no other trainers around right now; they'd have made annoying competition or nuisances.

His suspicions were confirmed when he heard a low rumble of thunder in the distance. Almost there. He grinned to himself, and Arcanine, well-tuned to Yann's moods, gave a short, clipped bark that he knew was equivalent to satisfaction. Getting closer now, and he automatically did a quick check of the pokeballs at his belt - yep, all there. He turned around a set of trees, that had obscured his sight before, and skidded to a stop, eyes narrowing.

Raikou was under attack by Team Rocket. It was perhaps hypocritical of him to take offense to that, given his intentions towards the Legendary, but this was far from standard procedure. A group of Rocket members had surrounded the Pokemon, and were doing their best to corner him or trap him between their teams. Their Pokemons, taken individually, had not a snowball's chance in hell to hold out again him, but in group like that, they might just be enough to tire him...

"Arcanine", Yann growled, and his Pokemon crouched beside him, bristling and baring his fangs. Good. Seemed like they'd gotten the same idea. He charged in, already calling out Houndour and Mightyena. Raikou was his.

[[what. My internet died before I could post this last night, and then I try again and you guys are all over the place. Wow XD]]

That guy was starting to get on my nerves. I mean, I was here, what was I supposed to do, sit on top of the blimp where a legendary was fighting? Plus, he was about to charge into a blimp full of Pokemon trainers, without any with him. "Krow!" I screamed, and motioned for him and Explotaro to come over. I then had Saur and Muddy return to their Pokeballs.

"Wait up dude!" I screamed. He shot me a glare that meant I was an idiot for screaming. "Think you might need some Pokemon when dealing with Team rocket?"

He looked away, and then reluctantly gestured me to follow. We had only made one turn before coming face to face with two from team rocket. "Krow, Dark Pulse! Explo,Focus Punch!!" I tackled my somewhat of an ally to the ground, just as Krow's attack came even with us. When we got up, the two dudes were knocked out. "By the way, I'm Gold."

"Ashton" he said, and then started running. We came face to face with a larger group of rockets, the first two must have set some alarm off. "Saur, Muddy, come on out!" "Ice beam! Shadow ball! Flamethrower! Energy Ball!" The room lit of the the mix of energetic lights, and when we were done, the place was littered with knocked out rocket men.

"Now, aren't you glad I tagged along?" I asked with a smile. He didn't reply, and just kept going. Jerk. That must have been all the security on the ship, because we didn't run into anyone else till the cockpit.

When we got to cockpit, we found four more guards. When they saw us, they each grabbed a Pokeball. Before they could get them out though, Ashton jumped, and tackled them to the ground. Three of the balls slid down the hall, but one of them held on. "Get out here, Hondoom! Use Flamethrower!"

"Watergun!" I commanded, but Muddy couldn't get it out before Saur was blown backwards. "Crobat! Drapion! Craudaunt!"

They had gotten back their Pokemon, and they were coming with a vengeance. "Ashton. Go. Now! I can take them." he nodded. "Energy Ball Saur!" Using the ball as a distraction, Ash jumped into the cockpit. And the battle was on inside.

Without even trying, Saur had knocked out the Craudaunt with his Energyball, already in my favor. The Crobat came at me with a steel wing, which Krow countered with the same. The bat was thrown back, and knocked out. These guys didn;t deserve the title of trainer. "Mud Bomb on Hoondoom, Muddy! and Focus Punch of Drapion, Explo!" Tehy were knocked out before I could blink. The four rocket members turned tail and ran the other way.

Before the pilot could react I knocked him out with an elbow to the face. Taking control of the blimp after that was easy. I turned it North and flew it away from Ecruteak City.

"Pilot," came a voice over the intercom. "What the hell are you doing? We need you to stay near Tin Tower."

I grabbed the radio and replied, "Sorry, but I can't let you take Ho-oh."

"Who is this? I demand you to tell me now." I remained silent as I flew farther north. "If you won't answer, I will just have to take care of your pokemon the roof." I heard him click a few buttons and scream, "Go Pokemon #3091, attack his Dragonite!"

Suddenly, a Dragonite, twice the size of mine appeared in the air before the blimp. Tattooed to the giant pokemon's head was 3091. "No!" I yelled and ran out of the room, leaving it un-piloted. Gold was finishing tying up the rest of the Team Rocket when I came out. Without a word, he and his pokemon followed me. I made it to the roof, as the large Dragonite landed, tilting the Blimp slightly.

Over the intercom, I heard the same voice shout, "Take it out with Hyper Beam!" The Dragonite let loose a Hyper Beam, ten times stronger than mine would ever do and hit, my Dragonite square in the chest, knocking it unconscious and blasting it off the top of the blimp. Without second thought, I jumped off after him.

"Krow, go help him!" I commanded. "Use Arial ace to catch up to him!" Krow got even with Ashton, and hocked his feet onto his back pack. "Now, use steel wing to catch up with Dragonite!"

Krow struggled to keep flight with Ashton. Dragonite kept falling, and the Black one was heading for Ashton and Krow. "Use Hyper Beam once more!" came from the speaker. The two of them were dead unless Krow could get them away. Then a miracle happened. Krow began to glow, and his body became a ball of light, his body grew twice in size, and his head molded into a fedora shape. He looked like a crow mobster. "Krow, use Arial ace again!" I commanded.

The newly evolved body had no trouble to pull it off with Ashton, and was able to dodge the hyper beam. "Now use steel wing to catch up to Dragonite!" Krow dove at break neck speeds, Ashton hanging on to dear life. "Now, drop him!"

Krow stopped short after letting go of Ashton, propelling him to his Dragonite. The tragedy was off though, and he was thrown over his Pokemon, headed for the ground and death. I couldn't bare to look down. I felt Saur's vine's pull at my pants, and I looked down. Ashton was riding on his Flygon, with his Salamance lowering Dragonite safely to the ground.

Yann
If he'd stopped to think about it, he might have gotten second thoughts about jumping into the fray. Already he'd been spotted, and a pack of Goldbats and Mightyenas were rushing towards him.

Or maybe he wouldn't have. From behind the approaching foes he could still see Raikou releasing electricity to and fro, sending the small fry flying. The air was so charged with static he could feel it thrumming over his skin, and it was more of a thrill than a deterrent.

"Houndour! Mightyena!" His Pokemons emerged leaping from their pokeballs, spreading in a half-circle with Arcanine. Then it was a flurry of moves as they wove light-footed and sharp-toothed between the ranks of enemies. "Houndour, Smog! Mightyena, Taunt! Arcanine, Flame Wheel!" It was short work, quickly cleared, and they advanced deeper into the melee, dispatching Rocket grunts left and right.

Still, not fast enough. Raikou was weakening: the thunder was falling at wider intervals, and he wasn't moving as swiftly. A mechanical sound from above made Yann lift his head, and he swore under his breath as the blimp came into view, more Goldbats flying down.

This was not going well. "Arcanine, Fire Wheel!" That cleared a way, and they were getting closer to Raikou. Then the mass of foes grew thinner, and he turned. His eyes widened.

Was that a net launcher?

Crap.

"Oh you have a flying pokemon." I flopped down on the grass ignoring the pain in my back, "That's so not fair. If only pichu or teddiursa could fly, then we would be unstoppable." Teddiurse sat on my stomach licking his lips, and wiping his paws on my shirt.

Callie laughed, "Well Charizard and me have been together for ever. I got him when he was a little charmander."
"Starter pokemon?" I asked sitting up, Teddiursa rolling off of my body.
Callie nodded scruffing up raichu's hair. I looked over at pichu who was trying to lift a stick ten time taller then him.

"I never got a starter pokemon. Pichu was my mothers coordinating partner, you know ribbons and stuff. And Teddiursa started following me because I always had honey, I never really caught my first pokemon."
