She sighed and brought her Raichu back into the Pokeball.
"Well," she said, "You'll catch one one day. Even if you don't, they're still your pokemon, and your pokemon love you and will stick by your side no matter what. Don't get discouraged."
Ella nodded, not really convinced. Callie laughed, and then she began to think of something. "Tell you what," she said, "If you want a really powerful pokemon, I'll give you my Ninetails. She's at home, and I haven't really used her."
Ella scratched her head, unsure of what to say. "Um-I..err.."

"Um...er..." I looked down at Pichu and Teddiursa. Did they want a new friend? Pichu scurried up my arms and onto my head. I lift Teddirusa on to my stomach and watched at him.
"So...." Callie said, "Do you want her or not?" She placed her hands on her hips, her eyes glittering in the shaft of sun shining down on us. "Pi-Pichu!" Pichu yelped in my ear. "Do want a new friend?" I asked the both of them. Teddiursa made a noise in the back of his throat.
I couldn't say no to that offer, but then, I wanted to catch my own pokemon. But maybe ninetails will give me a special break.
"Yes please." I grinned at her. "I promise I'll take care of her for ever."

The open road lay out before Marie, and she took to it smiling. Her bike sped along the trail through the forest, Eevee and the gang running alongside her. They needed their exercise so Marie had let them all out.
"Keep it up Vaporeon!" she yelled to the pokemon that started lagging behind. Vaporeon was never built for running, but he always needed to prove himself.
Marie slowed down as two girls appeared on the path. One had a handsome Raichu, probably one of good breeding, and the other had a cute little Pichu and a Teddiursa. Raichu-girl sent her pokemon back into its pokeball and said something that made the other girl look uncomfortable.
"Good afternoon," Marie interrupted, braking beside them. Eevee kept running circles around the stopped bike - she had an unrealistic amount of energy - while Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon rested in the shade of a nearby tree. "I saw your Raichu, you've done a very good job with it," she said to Raichu-girl.

Pokemon 1: #354 Banette -Shadow Ball -Will-O-Wisp -Calm Mind -Psychic
"Be patient, Tyler. Patient." I waded a bit deeper into the pool of water, swiping a hand in front of my face to move my bangs to the side. Stretched out of my other hand was a finely-made rod that a fishman had given me just the day before. On the end of it was PokeBait, cut from the block especially for my future team-mate, Shelder.
Droplets of water streamed down my bare back and I heard a Zubat cry not too far away. Instinctively, I turned my head, making sure all of my things were still together on the cavern floor. Letting out a sigh, I waded deeper in, humming the tune I had memorized from a Lapras last year. The water moved, but nothing showed up. Around my neck was tied Banette's Pokeball, ready to be plucked and thrown at the first sign of a Shelder. But the moments passed to hours, and no luck, still. I reeled in my PokeBait and waded back to the cavern's shore, grabbing my old PokeDex from under my shirt.
With hasty fingers, I scrolled through Shelder's information, down to its map. Blaine swore there'd be a school of powerful Shelder in this cave. But then again, he was a fire leader. Shivering, I pulled my clothes back on, placing Banette's Pokeball on my first beltloop, just as always. I took a step towards the exit when the sound of a Supersonic attack filled my ears. I turned back towards the deep pond, wide-eyed at the dark-blue shelder clamping onto the leg of a low-flying Zubat.
Quickly, I grabbed a Pokeball--one, two, three... and tossed it. In a flash of light, Espeon stood ready. The Shelder let Zubat go and tried to dive, but not before Espeon instinctively shot her hypnotic rays straight into its squishy black face. From under its shell, I could see its eyes close, and I snapped twice; Espeon widened her eyes and shot out a brilliantly-colored Psybeam attack into Shelder's resting eyes.
The Pokemon woke up instantly, but in a daze, dove back under the water's surface before I could grab a Pokeball. "Damn," I whispered, and withdrew Espeon. "Next time, for sure."
But it was getting late. Sighing, I pulled on my checkered vans and slumped off to the cave's exit, picking up a weird-looking blue rock beside one of the streams. Weird... Waterstone mining had ended here long ago. I stowed it in my bag and moved again for the light of evening, but stopped when I felt a strange chill flush my spine. I turned my head, watching an odd blue sparkling in the corner of my eye. Obviously a delusion from being in the freezing water for so long.

I am the property of Rydia, please return me to her ship.
I called my sister and she swooped down on her Noctowl. She jumped off and looked at me with a smile.
"You ready to battle," she asked.
"I want a ride Yin," I said.
She looked over at the fallen Team Rocket member with raised eyebrows. "Is that a Team Rocket member?" She nudged the body with her foot.
"Yes, and I have coordinates to a location where this little grunt was headed."
"So you want me to fly you there," she said adjusting the large white ribbon she wore around her waist."
"Yes."
"Fine, hop on," she said jumping back on her Noctowl. I out Jolteon back in her ball and got on.
We took off and I directed Yin with my Pokedex. Down below I saw a battle between a Pokemon trainer battling a group of Team Rocket members as the other stalked a rather large dog looking Pokemon. A blimp hovered over the battle area.
"Noctowl gust," Yin screamed. The strong wind slammed into the blimp scattering the Goldbats that poured out.
I pulled out my Pokedex.
Raikou, the Thunder Pokémon. It is said to have descended to earth on a bolt of lightning. The Pokedex stated.
I gasped. Team Rocket was trying to capture that legendary. One team rocket member had a net launcher.
"This is your stop," Yin yelled and her Noctowl did a barrel roll and I fell off in mid air I tossed my Pokeball.
Piloswine go. I landed on my Piloswine knocking aside a few Team Rocket grunts. I was too slow however the Raikou was now snared in a net.
I threw out my other Pokeballs so my Jolteon, Milktank, and Leafeon could join the battle.
Team Rocket wasn't getting their hands on a legendary. Judging by the other trainers expression he had no plans of allowing this either.
This is one little planet in one tiny solar system in a galaxy that’s barely out of its diapers. I’m old, Dean. Very old. So I invite you to contemplate how insignificant I find you.
Flygon landed softly on the ground, while Salamence gently set, my unconscious Dragonite down next to me. I quickly jumped down and ran over to Dragonite, pulling out a revive out of my pack. I threw it into his mouth and Dragonite's eyes blinked at me. "I'm sorry, Dragonite," I said with tears in my eyes. "I wasn't fast enough. Dammit!" I split my knuckles as I punched the ground.
Gold touched down with his Honchkrow, and walked over to me. "You should put him in his pokeball, and get him to a Pokemon Center."
"I would," I said, "but he doesn't have a pokeball, never did." I sat down next to Dragonite and rested me head on his side. "Do you think you can move on your own Dragonite." Dragonite growled a yes. "What about Ho-oh? Is it safe?"
"No, I we were coming after you when Ho-oh was being pulled into the blimp."
"Fuck." I shut my eyes and tried to clear my mind. "I need to go to the Whirl Islands."
"Why?"
"Lugia is there. If Team Roket is attacking Legendary Pokemon, then they will being going after him next."
"How do you know he lives there?"
"I was trained by the monks of the Dragon Cave in Blackthorn, they told me." I stood up and did my best to help Dragonite get onto his feet, even though he did most of the work. "We'll have to walk back to Ecruteak." I pulled out Flygon and Salamence's pokeballs and returned them to it. "Let's go."

"I'd love a battle!" she shouted excitedly. This could be a great opportunity to test her Eevee's strength, as she was the newest addition to the bunch. "How about a few introductions first?" she asked, remembering her manners. "I'm Marie."
"Callie," her opponent answered.
Marie looked to the other girl expectantly. "Ella," she answered.
"Lovely to meet you Callie and Ella," Marie said, smiling. "Ella would you mind officiating our battle?"
Ella nodded and Marie and Callie moved to their appropriate starting positions. Marie looked over her pokemon. Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon still looked a little tired from their run, but Eevee was a bundle of energy.
"Let's go Eevee!" Marie shouted, pointing towards the area they would use as a battlefield.
Sabrina walked into the Goldenrod gym with her usual straight, emotionless face. She didn't even say anything when she saw me...no greeting, no hello, she just motioned her hand to follow her back outside. Everybody in the city was looking north to Ecruteak, where a blimp and large bursts of light were coming from.
I repeat...everybody in the city. Including all the Team Rocket guards. We had a hilariously easy strike chance.
"Where do you want to hit first?"
"Radio station. These guys like it there"
We jogged up and practically walked right inside. I sorted through the pokeballs on my belt and threw out Hitmonchan. He hopped right into action, putting his guard right up while he jogged forward next to us. Sabrina threw out her Mr. Mime. We went up a few floors, and ran into a few members that actually managed to notice us. They pulled out two Croagunks.
"Psywave", Sabrina called to Mr. Mime. A pink wave of energy burst from the snap of Mr. Mime's hands, knocking the TR members and the Croagunks to the ground. It was wierd, though...not a lot of trainers had anything from Sinnoh in Johto. Were TR completely international?
We jumped into the elevator and went up to the top floor. We got to the top of the tower and looked through the glass. It was really high up. You could see most of Johto from here, including the blimp fiasco in Ecruteak. I looked southwest and noticed another blimp. It was close to the whirl islands, where I think Lugia rested. It wasn't looking too good. Something was up.
"Gene? Might want to check this out", Sabrina got my attention. I saw she was looking at a map on the glass, with red X's over a few places all around it. It was a world map, too. There was one X in Orre, five in Johto, five in Kanto, and countless numbers around Sinnoh and Hoenn. They were planned for this.
"I'd leave if I were you", said a female voice from the elevator door. We turned around and looked; it was Karen from the indigo league...but she was in a TF uniform. She did some time in TR, but she was back? This just meant trouble. She was a pretty powerful trainer.
"Karen, what's going on?", I asked.
"You're meddling in Team Rocket business, that's what's going on. You going to go?"
"Not if you aren't telling me what I want to know"
"Fine, guess I'll have to take you down"
Karen pulled out two pokeballs and threw them forward, releasing her Umbreon and Houndoom. I hadn't fought her in a while, but I remembered these two pokemon. Something told me I still shouldn't expect anything from them.
"Hitmonchan, get double teaming, as much as you can". Hitmonchan started jumping incredibly quickly from side to side. There was no way they'd hit him. However, they didn't seem to go after me.
"Both of you, shadow ball that mime, now!". Houndoom and Umbreon blasted out a black/purple ball of energy at Mr. Mime, throwing Mr. Mime right to the ground. Sabrina got him right back into his pokeball, and tossed out a Gallade. I hadn't seen her use a Gallade before. Interesting.
"Hitmonchan, focus punch", I called out. Hitmonchan started shifting to Houndoom's right side, and gave an insanely powerful punch. Houndoom got knocked into the elevator door, but got knocked right back up. I looked at his neck and realized why it didn't take him down; there was a red scarf, a focus sash to be precise. There was a common strategy from a Houndoom with that item, and I wasn't looking forward to seeing it go on.
"Reversal, Houndoom", Karen commanded. Houndoom's head glowed blue, and he headbutted Hitmonchan right in the chest. Because of the damage Houndoom already took, it was far more powerful than that attack normally was. Hitmonchan barely got up.
"Gallade, cross chop that Umbreon", Sabrina said. I felt a little hurt with that...Hitmonchan was down on the ground, and she was going for the one that wasn't shooting anything? I needed Hitmonchan to stay up.
"Hitmonchan, just dodge for a while. Sabrina, get Gallade here when you can"
"Sure thing"
Gallade gave a chop to Umbreon, but it still was doing pretty decently. Umbreon had a surprisingly good defense for its size.
"Umbreon, Assurance". Umbreon jumped onto and off of Gallade, with a suddenly powerful push onto him. It looked pretty tough. Hitmonchan was still dodging a bunch of little shots from Houndoom. Then, I got my idea.
"Hitmonchan, ice punch the floor!" Hitmonchan did as I asked, and jumped back. Houndoom started running towards Hitmonchan and slipped on the ice he created.
"Mach punch!", I called out. After a swift punch from Hitmonchan, Houndoom was down on the ground. Lucky me, I guess. Gallade and Umbreon were still having just as many problems, but I wanted to prevent another.
"Hitmonchan, knock Karen down with a mach punch!". He did as I asked, and Karen couldn't pull out another pokeball. Gallade was finally starting to triumph over Umbreon, and eventually was punching it on the ground.
"You're done, Gallade. Get back in". Sabrina pulled Gallade back into her pokeball, and I pulled Karen's pokeballs off her belt and returned her pokemon to her, keeping her on the ground.
"So, what's going on?". Karen mumbled angrily to herself for a second, pissed that she lost.
"Rocket's just getting the power it needs from legendaries. World ruling stuff, nothing more than usual. Except this time we know where to find it. What else do you need to know?"
"Sabrina, get her to some police officers, would you?"
"Sure"
Sabrina and I walked out with Karen, with her hands tied behind her back. I pulled Hitmonchan back into his pokeball before getting in the elevator. I also took a picture of the map, so I could know where to get going. I needed to make sure some of these pokemon were safe, before they attacked. They were going from west to east, so Sinnoh and Kanto were probably decently safe. I needed to find where that perimiter was, and I needed to make it there. I wanted to keep as many legends safe as I could. Besides, it felt good wailing on some trainers who deserved it. Besides, there was probably more like Karen...trainers who got converted by TR's retarted logic.
We got out of the radio station and I pulled Ditto out of his pokeball (I say his despite him being a genderless pokemon. He seemed to have a pretty masculine personality, in my opinion).
"Ditto, transform into Fearow and fly us over to Cerulean city, and pray they didn't get to Mewtwo already"
I was on a winning streak so far. Let's hope I could keep it going.

I put all my Pokemon but Krow Away. I wanted to look at his new form a bit more. "I wonder why he evolved right then."
"It was my dusk stone," Ashton said, spraying some potion on Dragonite.
"Your what?" I asked, clueless.
"Dusk Stone, its a stone that evolves certain Pokemon, I had one in my bag, it must have touched it," Ashton explained.
"Oh, sorry about that," I said, but Krow shot me a look that said he wasn't.
"Don't worry, it saved my life after all," Ashton said.
"Get back here!" I turned to see a brown and white blur heading towards us. Behind him several women in Kimonos running after it. The blur slowed down when it saw out Pokemon, frightened. The women caught up, they were shocked by the Dragonite as well.
"Sorry, this Eevee got away from us. We were training it to dance with us, but it keeps running off," one in a red dress said.
"Ever think it doesn't want to dance?" I asked plainly, Ashton impatiently waited, he wanted to move on.
"But it must dance, all out Eeevees dance with us in performances!" One of them shouted at me.
'Well, if it doesn't want to, it doesn't want too," I told them. "Nothing you can do to MAKE it dance with you, can ya?" This ticked them off.
"Fine, if it doesn't want to dance, he's your problem now!" screamed a third, who chucked a Luxury ball at me. The ball nailed me in the eye, and I looked up to see the girls stomping away. The Eevee looked at me, and smiled. I guess it was a win for me. "Well, I'm gonna sall you Vee," I said and ruffled his hair.
"Can we go?" Ashton asked, I laughed and nodded. I picked my new friend up, and he crawled onto my head. "Eeeeeveee."
We got to the Pokemon center, but found a new challenge once there. Dragonite didn't fit inside. "Um...is there anyway to treat him outside? Don't you have special equipment for bigger Pokemon?"
"We did, but last week we had a Snorlax who needed help, and he crushed it all, we haven;t gotten the replacements yet, I am very sorry," The Nurse joy looked down at our feet. "You might be able to go to Olivine city and get some help."
"Well, we do have to head that way anyway," I said, Ashton looked a ticked. "Got any berries though? This dude might need some extra energy to get there."
"Of course, one moment!" The nurse ran inside in a rush, and came out with three bags filled to the breaking point with Oran Berries. "Thanks." I said with a smile, and threw a bag to Ashton, and Krow took the third from me.

The tragic tale of losing all #Brand for nothing in return.
Slowly, I stepped out of the caverns, stretching my cold muscles in the warm sunlight. When I relaxed and opened my eyes, two goons stood before me. "Step aside, man." They both wore matching black uniforms with two Pokeballs on each belt. I strafed once to the side, watching them as they ran into the cave. My instincts nudged me back towards the entrance, but something resonated in my heart. Fumbling against the walls, I snuck in quietly behind them.
The soldier with black hair took a look around the high walls, listening for every pokemon he could track. "No sign of her in here."
The soldier with blonde hair shook her head. "The boss gave strict orders and solid intel. Articuno is in this cavern."
Articuno...? I questioned myself, watching them from behind the glassy boulders.
"Galley said to look for some kind of vapour trail. Like some kind of permanent mist around her tail."
The blonde shook her head and they both advanced deeper into the cave. I took a step forward, keeping a long distance between the duo and myself. Hesitantly, I decended into the lower levels.
---
Deep down, around sub-level four of the caverns, I had to swipe in front of my eyes for a clear view. Reaching into my pocket, I retrieved a small HM-substitute device for De-Fog. I clicked the button and the device began to suck the humidity out of the air swiftly. Then, only small shafts of light illuminated the room, bouncing against fragmented ice crystals and glacial stones. I clasped my arms over my chest to protect myself from the cold.
I slowly stepped forward, my eyes widening as I lost my balance on an ice slip. I tumbled head-first down a slope that had to be ten or fifteen feet deep. My breath was taken from me as I plunged under frigid water, raising above the currents only to take panicked breaths. The currents pulled me down and under, and I lost my grip on the ice, lost in the flow until a break in the floor brought me dozens of feet down into a shallow pool, in the center of a large, glacial cavern. Putting a hand on my throbbing head, I looked around in the hardly-lit cavern, catching the same glimpse of a glimmer from before. I groaned, ignoring the sound of a pokeball hitting the floor before Espeon flashed from her home.
"Espeoon!" she cried, and I held up five fingers (her sign for FLASH). Her eyes illuminated and shot out a brilliant ray of light onto the glacial stones, illuminating the entire room. I peered up at the glimmer and my eyes widened at the glory of the most beautiful creature I'd ever seen-- Articuno.
My idle worship was cut short, however, by their voices again, this time, growing closer through a cavern in the back. "Did you hear someone scream just now?"
"No, idiot. Now let's nab the bird."
"Fine."
They approached together, and I stood, making my presence known in the room. The two just stared, and then together reached for their Pokeballs. "We told you to stand off, man."
"Now we'll just have to make you."
"Haunter!" "Arbok!"
In a dull flash of light, a ghost with a huge right claw and a dark-scaled cobra appeared, both viciously glaring at me in preparation to attack. I grimaced and threw out another Pokeball to accompany Espeon-- Banette. Her voice hit an eerie, low range and she grinned, analyzing her enemies.
"Banette, Espeon... Let's play some mind games."
Arbok and Haunter both lunged into action, but luckily, my Pokemon were faster. Espeon locked onto Arbok and latched onto its spread-out hood, her eyes luminously glowering. Arbok instantly began to writhe in an invisible pain before lifting off the ground and being shoved into a rock far behind it. Haunter snuck up behind Espeon and gave a quick One! Two! Three! Shadow Punch to her spine, sending her seethin on the cold floor.
Banette wasted no time rescuing her friend, firing off a swift Shadow Ball into Haunter's face; the speedy ghost half-dodged the attack, leaving only a slur of damage on his twisted face. The frighteningly sharp claws came at Banette in a Shadow Claw attack, but Banette dodged and produced another speeding shadow sphere which hammered Haunter down to the ground.
I withdrew Espeon and the rocket goons withdrew their pokemon.
"We're not defeated yet, you know."
"We have better tricks up our sleeves."
"We're rockets."
"We're twisted."
"Let's go again, Haunter." From the same Pokeball, Haunter returned to the battlefield, completely healed. I stammered, wanting to gasp in amazement, but it was no time for that. The goon with the black hair held out a radio transmitter and fired it at Haunter, covering him in electromagnetic waves. The Pokemon shook, letting out quick, startled "Haunt-Hauntahhhh-tah-tah..."'s before engulfing itself in a crimson red glow. His body began to transmogrify, and in a flash of red light, he stood on two legs, a fully-evolved Gengar.
I took a step back, awe-struck at the size of the Gengar. I had seen them before, but, but... Never this huge. Never this imposing.
I quickly withdrew Banette and tossed out my fourth Pokeball, releasing Absol onto the field. His cool, calm nature relaxed me, but my chances of survival were looking grim.
"Gengar 793-- Signal Beam."
Gengar's eyes flashed red and green, releasing twin beams of energy dead-on at Absol. He lurched to the side just in time, though, and dashed at Gengar with teeth bared. Before Gengar could return its gaze to Absol, he had crunched down on an arm, dislocating the shadows comprising his body. Gengar recoiled in pain and grimaced.
"Gengar, use Psychic!"
Absol stood still, his calm gray eyes locked on Gengar, almost as if in a standoff, playing chicken. The goons looked at eachother. "Gengar-- Use PSYCHIC!" But the pokemon continued looking at eachother, both unphased.
Those idiots. "Absol, finish him off with another Crunch."
Absol dashed forward, latching onto Gengar's face and ripping apart his shadowy figure. The rocket soldier withdrew him and they both backed away in what seemed like fear. "Th-this ain't over, kid. We'll be back with more soldiers. Articuno will be ours!"

Yann A sudden gust of wind made him stagger, unprepared as he was for it, and he looked up again to see a pair of trainers on the Noctowl that had apparently been responsible for the Gust. His eyes narrowed at first - Rocket reinforcements, perhaps? - but then one of them jumped off and let loose on the grunts.
Yann wasn't going to ask for more. Catching his eye he gave a nod, which would have to do for a greeting until they had more time and better circumstances.
He had to dodge a headbutt from a Poochyena, breaking eye contact, and whistled Houndoom back to his side; Arcanine was busy holding back the flow, and Mightyena was putting the fear of her in the TR's puny Poochyenas. A well-timed charge and Bite was enough to make the one who'd attacked him retreat, and he took into a run again, managing to get another dozen closer to Raikou. It was pulling against the net, growling and very visibly displeased, but nothing it could do had an effect: they'd obviously planned this and knew enough to make the net out of non-conductive material, as well as strong enough to resist biting and clawing.
The problem then was also that nothing he had on him could serve to break it either. It might have been possibly to char it to ashes, but then the risks of harming Raikou were too great to take the risk.
They'd started reeling the net in, and he was starting to wonder if there was anyway to stop it now.

I rode my Pilo swine towards the Rakiu, while Joltoen and Leafeon ran at fought togther to take on a Persian. I was nearly there when a Voltorb appeared in my path way. The grunt that had called it gave me a smile.
"Selfdestruct," he yelled.
I was blinded by a bright light and Piloswine and I were hurled back in a cloud of dust and uprooted earth. I crashed down one the grown Piloswine nearly crushing me. Piloswine had taken most of the blast and was now unconscious. I returned him to his Pokeball. I considered how I would proceed. Leafeon and Jolteon were occupied and for the time being I was keeping Milktank back. She was too slow for multiple battling. I had only called her for her milk.
I pulled out my last Pokeball.
"Misdreavus go."
