Kimber/Alison~

I whipped around clutching tightly at my daggers. Christopher jumped off from the side of the armour, the metal hand of the shining brown scraping across his face.
Christopher screamed out in pain grabbing at his wounded cheek.

"Chris!" I screamed biting my tongue when I said his real name. Tyson rushed out diving towards the armour.
"Stop your fooling Kim, hurry up and fight!" Tyson yelped slashing at the armour.

Tyson:

I veered out of the way of the amour's fist. Pushing myself forward I sliced into its arm metal screeching loudly against metal.
My heart pounded in my ears, swinging the blade up I brand it down as swiftly as I could manage.
Kimber was beside me, jumping forward she lashed out dancing with her blades in a mass of twirls and slices.
Her hair shone in the dim light as she took a swipe at its feet.
The armour roared throwing itself forward.
A flash of light appeared in the side of my eyes, I looked up squinting to see a newb character hobble out.

** I think Peri should be added in here. Like he accidently teleported into here. And sorry for the late post!
An optimist is someone who falls off the Empire State Building, and after 50 floors says, 'So far so good!'

It's all good, Ben.

Chris:

I quickly read the name over the newcomer's head: Peri.

"Help us out, Peri!" I hollered. The little fellow
inclined his head, then scurried through a joint
in the armor. There followed a tremendous clang,
and the monster's right arm fell off.

"Tiger Claws!"

Peri dropped down to the floor.

'Easy!' He grinned triumphantly, but only for a moment before someone yelled and he ducked to dodge the other arm which came swinging right for him. 'Ah!'

He had two options, to find his barings and then take down the chunk of metal, or to do it the other way around. By the second time the arm swung round he realised that it would be significantly more difficult to find out where he had ended up whilst there was a suit of armour after his head.

He climbed up and disconnected the second arm as he'd done the first. The suit of armour let out a loud roar, and a few seconds later both arms lifted into the air and started working on their own.

He scowled under his breath and ran back to take refuge anywhere except the front line.

Chris:

Shoot!

I pulled back as the monster's arm swung at me.
The arm whooshed overhead; I felt my heart speed up.

There has to be more to this.
But now wasn't the time for deep thinking.
I surged to my feet, both virtually and physically.

Bad idea.

My body pitched forwards, towards the table only
a foot away. Instinctively, I covered my head in
my hands.

With a dull thud I struck the table.

"Nurse!" someone shouted.

Barely conscious, I clutched at my throbbing head.

Allison's voice floated to me: "Gem! What's wrong?"

Kimber/Alison~

I stopped my heart thudding in my ears. The sound of someone screaming nurse peirced my ears drums a small buzzing sound following in its wake.
I barred my teeth together dogding one of the arms hurtling towards me, grabbing at my blades I twirled my body around hacking at the arm.
I hjeard no reply coming from Chris. I jumped to the side as the arm swug around it's armour mearly dinted and gashed.
"Gem!" I screamed again this time more hurriedly.

Chris:

Beep... beep...
An all-too-familiar sound woke me.
I was in bed, an IV feed connected to my
right arm.

"What happened back there, Christopher?
Your friend was very upset."

I squinted to bring to face of Nurse Conway
into view.

"I got excited and tried to stand up."

She frowned, making the youthful lines around
her mouth pull tight.

"Can I talk to her? Is the game still running?"

A shake of her blond head.

"Please, Connie."

She sighed. "I suppose we could wheel a computer in here.
Just don't be at it too long, and no more fighting!"

Sure, he ran away to take refuge anywhere except the front line, but just as soon as he got there the front line... disappeared?

He looked around. Whoever was standing by him was now completely gone.

'Don't log out at a time like this!' He scowled to the empty space, then looked at the monster. There was only one option, and it was going to hurt.

Step One was to cast the instant-revive spell, so that as soon as he died he would be revived with an ounce of life in his health bar.

Step Two, was the renown yet rarely used Kamikazi spell. It wouldn't take a genius to work out what it did, and only took an idiot to use it. With a short run up he pounced on the suit of armour, muttered his spell and caused an explosion that blew both of them, and a chunk of the area around them, into pieces.

When he opened his eyes his whole body was aching, and in his pocket he found... No elixers? With a deep breath Peri lay in the darkness of the cave, hoping he would slowly heal or the team would get back before something else turned up to rip him to pieces.

Chris/Gem:

"Where were you?" said Allison's voice in my ear.

"I had an accident."

She turned to face me, now. We'd been returned
to the starting town, not far from where Tyson
and I had rescued the girl.

"That's not what I meant, Chris. I heard somebody holler 'Nurse.'"

Uncomfortable, I fidgeted with my jacket. "Well. When I was thirteen
I got in a car accident. Lost the use of both legs."

Allie's breath hissed out.

<Peri>

"Seems like we've all got some kind of story," Peri said, after finding himself sitting on the respawn point. He climbed up awkwardly from his knees to his feet and dusted off his clothes. "I beat that thing, but then some other little gooey things swamped me!" He looked at the other two, and once the buzz had died down he lowered his head he reconsidered his comment. 'Sorry, for the car crash thing.'

They both looked at him expectantly. "I've got a muscle wasting disease, makes it hard getting around, that's why I spend so much time in the game, I can do whatever I want here. I guess it's not as bad as being completely immobile."

The silence hung in the air awkwardly. Peri shuffled his feet. Allison looked away.

"Did you get anything from that suit of armour?" Chris asked.

"Just this thing." He held out a black stone. "I don't know what it does, but I haven't seen any new item updates, so it's probably just for selling."

They headed to the shop, where inside they went to the person at the counter.

"Hello, how may I help you?" It was a pretty lady-bot, designed to be friendly for the sake of new players.

"I want to sell this." Peri held out the stone.

"Sorry, I can't buy that off you. Please put it away."

"Where can I sell it?"

The bot pulled an uncharacteristically serious frown, and leant towards the group.

"Please, put it away."

"Peri..." Allison said. "I don't think that's just some stone."

Kimber~

I blinked at Peri, he stared at me than down at the stone.
"What why?" he asked suddenly suspicious.
"Please put it away!" The lady-bot shrieked. I turned towards them, what the hell is that thing.
