I'm back, so I'll start.

Burns,

I watch as the last Arc takes off, filling the air with an intense roaring. When the dust settles, I see the massive ship zoom off, on its way to Mars. I sigh into my mask, feeling comforted by the soft, creaking leather. Well, I was made for a task, so I better get cracking. I stare around at the mutated jungle that spreads out around the hill that I am standing on like an oddly colored quilt. All of it dangerous and possibly deadly, except for anything within a ten-foot radius of me. I grimace. This could get unpleasant. I turn around and look at the huge stack of supply boxes behind me. Better set up shop.

>>>Also, I think he have an unbalanced number of powers (more #2, and only one #3 and #4), so if anyone would like to change...<<<

Mire

Mire flicked up a rude finger as the space-ship to take his family away drifted off. He poked out his tongue and then mooned them. The air slowly took its toll on his and he slipped his breathing mask back on. He sighed.

"Well, this is better, than nothing I suppose . . . no . . not it's not. But it beats being alone with a family." He grinned to himself and started walking.

He need to find some Saviors to protect other wise he was all but useless. As he walked along he sang a few words from a popular, but very old ad, "Wo-ah, is this on? Is anybody listening? A brand new day has began."

It was a coke ad. It amused him to think he was singing an ad whose brand contributed about 20% of all pollution in the world, if not more. And here he was singing it. He resang it again and again as he walked looking for someone to protect.

Korri

Watching the Arcs leave the atmosphere exhillarated Korri. It was finally time for him to take care of the Earth, but first he needed to find the other Saviors. He would be a worthless Defender if he had no one to defend but himself.

He turned and scanned the area around him. He could see a few figures in the distance, but before he started off, he heard a voice a ways behind him. He turned and looked around. He saw a second defender meandering towards him.

"Hello!" Korri called. The other man raised his arm in greeting a sped up until he reached Korri.

"You must be a defender." The guy said, his voice slightly distorted by his mask.

"The name's Korri." Korri offered his hand.

"Mire." The other man took Korri's hand. "How about we go and find something to defend. What do you say?"

Korri nodded. "Sounds like a plan."
Llama 1:"Shh! Do you hear that? That's the sound of forgiveness."
Llama 2:"That's the sound of people drowning, Carl!"
Llama 1:"That is what forgiveness sounds like; screaming and then silence."

Burns,

I sigh again, feeling very lonely. I don't understand why they left all of us separated. Seems simpler to keep us all together, really. I can't stand not having someone to talk to, so I call for one of my friends. Shay, the great hulking mutt that I un-mutated a while back appears from behind the pile of boxes. He whines as he comes nearer. I scratch his head, feeling comforted, as I always do, by his presence.
I turn from Shay, and he follows me over to a crate. I open the box, knowing that I need to establish communication with Earth officials. I turn on the radio, hearing only static at first. Then, all is quiet. I clear my throat.

"Ummm, Arc 2? Is this you?" I ask uncertainly.

"Roger that," says a stiff voice of an Arc communications officer.

"Oh, good," I say, relieved, "Just calling in to say that the Savior project is up and runn-"

Suddenly, there is more static. The guy turned off his radio.

"Jerk," I mutter.

Kitrina (Nicknamed Kit or Nina, by the way)

The sight of the leaving Arcs seems to fill her little body with aching sadness and loneliness. Although, she could not fathom why she was feeling this way, she felt as she had been abandoned on Earth.

She fought back the tears of sadness, taking deep breaths. The air before her turned a misty blue colour, purifying the atmosphere. The powers granted to her had left her a stupendous responsibility, and responsibility is not something she would like to have at the moment. She resolved her self by thinking that there were other people that have the same powers, same responsibility as her own.

She looked around. The place she was straddling was once known as The river Thames. But now it was just a thin silver line of polluted water flowing through the once great city of London.

As she looked around, she someone else. Someone who had misty blue colour air particles
before him. Feeling a bit hopeful, she towards the person. She could have ran but the ground was so treacherous and it would risk in her falling down and breaking something. Taking small, child like steps, she slowly made it to the person.

The person turned around at the sound of the approaching little girl. His eyes narrowed and then widened in surprised.

Kitrina gazed up at the teenager who toward over her. She only came up to his chest height.

'Hi, I'm Kitrina' She greeted, extending her little hand, smiling cutely.

'Uhh, hi. I'm Zire. How old are you anyway?' He asked, his eyes roaming over her pretty face, which looked as if it could have belonged to a 8 year old.

'Thirteen' Kitrina replied, happily.
Warden: "If you want to lead, all you have to do is ask."
Alistair: "What? Lead? Me? No, no, no. No leading. Bad things happen when I lead. We get lost, people die, and the next thing you know I'm stranded somewhere without any pants."

Zire

The last Arc turned in the gray sky and gained light speed in a matter of seconds. I was alone. Again, alone and bored. They had left us, after torturing us.And the irony was that we were their only hope. We were immune and adaptable. And yet the Earth was dying. We had pierced its very soul, the essence of life. Now, we were here to save it.

I looked around me. The surroundings were dull and dreary. Particles of dust floated by my face as i took in deep breaths, purifying as much air as i could. The mission had begun, we were thrust at great responsibly against our will and yet we had to do it, we had to save the Earth.

I felt the breathing of another entity behind me. Turning, my eyes fell on a little girl, barely fourteen.

Was she a Savior?

It was she who spoke first.

'Hi, I'm Kitrina' She greeted, extending her little hand, smiling.

I frowned. "Uhh, hi. I'm Zire" I managed to say before asking "How old are you anyway?"

'Thirteen' Kitrina replied, she seemed happy.

I frowned again, I had nothing against that number, but I hated being the oldest. I didn't like to lead, it was... boring.

"We have to find the rest of us" I said simply, my eyes cold and face betraying no emotion.

My mind was elsewhere, we were faced with a large conundrum. We were just kids, I had originally thought that i was the youngest of all the Saviors, but today I was proven wrong. For the second time in my life doubt entered my mind.

Could we, a bunch of teenagers, save the world?

It was then that I heard several voices not far away. I looked at Kitrina, who had evidently heard them too.

"Lets go" I said smoothly before walking in that direction, still breathing deeply.

*Okay?*

Great posts everyone...I've got a suggestion to turn the mutated canines into mutated, power-hungry humans. Sound good?

Very good, I likey, :P.

------

Mire looked around the desolate landscape and commented to his fellow defender, "Doesn't it make you laugh?"

"What?" Korri asked with a raised eyebrow.

"That they've left the re-building of the world to a few individuals." He gestured at the destroyed wasteland that surrounded him with a wide grin on his face.

"Yeah . . . that's hilarious . . ." Korri replied giving him a strange look.

Something stirred in the bushes up ahead and botht of them started. Mire watched it intently, "You don't think we'd run into some nasties already?"

"I hoped not."

A huge animal lept from the bushes and tackled both Mire and Korri to the floor.

It then began to lick their faces. A voice called out in the distance, slowly getting louder as it approached them, "Shay? Shay, where are you, you mutt!?"

Watching an Arc leave, I sighed. I'd been abandoned before, but I wasn't useless anymore. I had a job to do now, even though I no longer wanted to. I turned and looked around, searching for someone to team-up with. I didn't see anyone so I started walking. I don't know how long or far I walked until I finally saw someone. Two someones, actually. I wasn't sure who they were, but I was certain they were Saviors. I jogged toward them, but they were a good ways off.

They were suddenly tackled by a huge animal, and I sprint towards them. As I got closer, I heard someone I couldn't see call out. "Shay? Shay, where are you, you mutt!?" I was surpirsed, but kept running. The giant animal--which I now realized was a dog--turned its head toward the voice, tongue hanging out. I could've sworn it was smiling. The dog stood on two guys, one with reddish-blond hair, the other with no hair. It surprised me how two burly men like them could've been knocked down, even by such an abnormally large dog.

Then I saw a pale guy with black hair who reminded me a bit of a vampire in old stories, come towards the dog. "Shay, get off them!" Vampire-Boy snapped. I slowed to a jog and stopped about ten feet away from them as the dog jumped off the two guys he'd pinned and back toward Vampire-Boy.

"Hey, are you guys alright?" I asked.
I gave up telling people I hear voices. So now I talk to the voices instead.

Burns,

After I clicked off the radio, Shay barked and ran off.

"Shay! Hey, come back!" I yell after him, but he's hot on the sent of something, and I quickly lose sight of him.

"Shay? Shay, where are you, you mutt?" I yell, he whines, and I run towards the sound, leaving behind me a trail of gloriously un-mutated plants.

When I finally reach Shay, he is standing on top of two figures, Saviors presumably. They look like defenders.

"Shay, get off them!" I snap at my dog. He whines, and puts his tail between his legs and comes and sits by me.

To make matters even more confusing, another person runs in on the scene.

"Hey, are you guys alright?" the girl asks, looking at me strangely.

The two defenders get up, grumbling. I apologize.

"I'm sorry about that. Shay gets excited when he meets new people," I say, smiling.

"You're both Saviors, right?" one of the defenders asks, turning between me and the concerned girl. We both nod.

"Good. Then we both have someone to protect," says the defender, grinning.

Daniel

I cursed under my breath as the ship that had dropped me off flew away. They had destroyed the planet, and they took no responsibility. They just left me, one of the few who cared, to do their work.

Well, at least I had friends to help. I just had to find them.

I began trotting through the polluted jungle, wondering where the heck the others would be, and if they were even on the same landmass.

Suddenly, I heard a commotion off to the right. I ran in that direction, but got there in time to find it had been nothing- just one of my teammates and his pet.

I slowed my pace, but then I noticed something.

A giant plant, resembling something like a Venus Fly Trap, was looming right behind the Savior gathering, unbeknown to them.

A moment of fear overcame me. The thing was hideous- a thing out of my worst nightmares. Finally, I managed to croak a weak "Look out!".
When it comes to havoc, nobody wreaks like me!

Burns,

"Look out!" I hear the croaking cry, and whirl around. About 20 feet away, there looms a huge swaying, carnivorous-looking plant. My head reels with too many thoughts as yet ANOTHER Savior sprints out of the jungle. I start running towards the plant, trying to get close enough to un-mutate it.
Without warning, the plant lunges at me, but I dodge easily. It snaps at my leg and I kick it, hard. I can see that my power is working, but very slowly. The plant is still large and vicious, although it is returning to its normal state. I lash out at it again, breathing hard under my mask. One of the defenders runs by me, and jumps on the plant, effectively pinning it to the ground, and slamming its trap shut.
Seeing that the plant cannot try to eat me any longer, I touch it, speeding up the un-mutation process. The plant shrinks, gaining different colors, changing shape. Eventually, the defender gets off. The plant is now a harmless foxglove.

"That was to close for comfort," the defender says.

"Yeah," I nod. I turn to the guy who warned us of the plant.

"Savior?"

He nods, "Yes,"

"Good," I reply, "Now we've got a decent sized team. So, what's everybody's names?"
And remember...A portkey can be any sort of harmless object...A football...or a dolphin.

I walked towards the now greatly increased commotion, but just before entering the scene i hid behind a tree and listened.

"Savior?" someone asks.

"Yes" The reply comes.

"Good," The same person asks, "Now we've got a decent sized team. So, what's everybody's names?"

They were Saviors but i didn't trust them yet. I would have stayed hidden but it was only then that i realized Kitrina had already run off towards the crowd. I turned towards the most probable path she would have taken, forward, and run towards the crowd. I didn't like suddenly appearing like this but it would have to do.

*Umm sorry for suddenly coming in okay?*
