I suppose I could be called a 'newbie' as I only joined a little over a month ago. But I have to say, I love YWS! I have gotten most of my friends either on the site, or interested in it, because I talk about it so much : )
I didn't actually 'find' YWS my self. I was showing my mom some of my previous work, and amazed as she was, she went looking around and found this. I wasn't too sure about joining at first, but now I am totally obsessed. Thank you YWS, and all the awesome people on here!!

Just joined the YWS and I'm feeling great like an achiever. One thing I believe for sure is that knowledge is never limited and always shared. To be great is to achieve something no one has ever achieved or do something that super-cedes what one has done before. It's fun to be a writer and where you get the pleasure and satisfaction is not on the fact of the reward you gain such as money but the fact someone gets to read your book and says 'wow! this book's great' and they want to read it over and over.

Never thought I'd be so in dept to our one and only Google for guiding me to this piece of heaven. Yups, that's how I found YWS. One month later I made up my mind to join it. And I personally consider than fateful day on of the best days of my life.

Not only did YWS help me with my writing and reviewing and reading but it also helped me to come out of the noob stage of the internet and get into the experienced user stage.

To Thank a few users that came to my mind,

.:Echelon:. – for teaming up with Myfreindsavamp and giving me a good dose of Vampires and storybooks
Alice– What can I say but thank you?
Bookmarker – A great captain that can be (almost) compared to the very unique Jack Sparrow
Cobra – Ahh, the only person I found so far in YWS that is indeed satanic and insane enough to help me take over the world!!
Chirantha – For being a great friend on YWS and in SL, though a little selfish rascal sometimes.
CrisCaraway - for being a great runner up for the Queen of Death and giving me many ideas on how to kill peopleas Jamie did.
Fellow – a great friend, reviewer, one of the only people who stuck so close to me and helped me in so many ways which do not include writing.
Jamie_rocks - for being a great Queen of Death and giving me many ideas on how to kill people MWAHAHAHAHA
Kaylyn – for living with this pain and reviewing my work twice and then reviewing it again just for my sake :P
Kitty15 – for being a great mentor, reviewer, constant PMer, great friend and many more things
LaReina – for not giving up on me just because I didn’t show much of an attention to our storybook.
Myfreindsavamp – teaming up with Echelon and helped me greatly understand the life of vampires and everything about storybooks.
Nate – well what can I say? You were great Nate for creating YWS. And for helping users who seemed worthless and later grew up to be better writers.
piepiemann22 – for showing me that it was okay to be depressed and I was not the only one suffering from depression.
RED – for not giving up on me and being a friend to be even though I kept pushing her into a well without concentrating on my work. :P
Rosey Unicorn – for constantly being a good friend, mentor(yup that too) and making the new YWS exciting as before.
RowanHowler – for reviewing all my work in one day just cause we became friends.
Searria H. – for being an interesting friend to both me and my friend C.
Snoink – for being… snoinky haha, couldn’t have ever left you out Snoink!
Writersdomain – indeed a great reviewer and one of the reasons I stayed in YWS and continued writing.
And Thank you anyone and everyone else I have forgotten due to the fact that I’ve most probably forgotten why or where we met in the first place :P . You guys are the best too!!!!
And last but not least, YWS, thank you a lot for I would not have improved my work nor would have met such wonderful friends, given above or not.

Anyway, long live YWS

Hey,

I don't have anyone in particular to thank, except Nate of course (you are a legend) but nonetheless, I would like to congratulate everyone on an amazing and insane year.
We all know there are way too many crazies here than can be healthy, and our brains should have melted by now, but by some miracle we've survived. And I know I'm still new here, but I mean it when I say you guys are like family, and have helped my writing so much. So, thank you.

Writing is a part of all our souls, and through this, I believe someday we can share it with the world.

Long live YWS,

I love YWS!

Well, I joined in July.. I kind of stopped writing in the month of September, because I was moving once again. Then I stopped writing in December. I moved again in December. Let's just say we got scammed (Long story, short!).

I've gotten my best friend to sign up, becuase I told her to go on here and read one of my storys. She ended up liking it and joined :D.

I just love knowing that even if you didn't do a good job on s story no one puts you down to hard. They help you make it better :smt003

It's amazing how one website has all these people who are nice, helpful, and there for you! Not any other website could be like this!

--Jessie

P.S. I couldn't write all the people who ever helped me becuase there is just way to many! And it's time to go.. So maybe I'll try to put up some later!

What YWS means to me...Ha! Can I place the meaning into words? No, certainly not.
I found the site years ago but lost it because I wasn't writing ANYTHING at the time. I loved it from the beginning and it has helped me with so much. From reading other works to simply talking to the other members. Maybe I don't know half of you as well as I should but in 50 years...I'm certain I'll remember you all.

I love this site. Thanks to Nate!

So...I'm Wiggy, and I feel so archaic that I wonder if my caraziness is rememberable (is that even a word? lol)! I'm in college now! I just finished my first semester, and life has gotten pretty crazy...but with the Christmas season in tow, I hope to be back. Scratch that, I am back!!! :elephant: :elephant: :elephant: :elephant: :elephant: I kindasortadefinitely haven't been on this website for over a year...and I miss it. YWS has always been an important presence in my life, and I want to get involved again. So, here's to a year of memories, thought-about presences, and a renewal in 2010. I love you all (too many of you to mention--you're all special in my heart ^_^), and I hope to get to know all the new members and re-know all my oldies :D Happy happy happy Christmas, New Year, Hanukkah, Winter, Kwanzaa, and everything else!!!!!! Now go eat some CHOCOLATE!!!!!

Wiggy ;)

P.S. RED ALERT: Caraziness is back :)

Go YWS!!

I just love YWS. I hope everyone has a very good time on here!

My writing skills have increased (I hope) from being on YWS! I plan on writing a new book soon!

BTW, this was on my copy/patse thing:

Halo Curl Enhancing Creme activates, controls, and defines natural or permed curls. Creates light-reflecting sprials, smooth contour and weightless volume. Delivers added UV and thermal protection

Pretty weird, huh?
LONG LIVE LOVE

I think this is a splendiferous idea! I just joined a few months ago, but YWS is already a major part of my life, and I want to thank everyone who makes it possible. Also, dearest gratitude to xX_white_shadow_Xx, who introduced me to YWS (Nutty is, by the way, having computer problems, which is why she's been absent for a while...)

Anyway, a big thank you to everyone!

What a good idea this is! Lol. YWS; what can I say? This last year-and-a-couple-months has been soo much fun, and I'm pretty much addicted to this site now  Just a couple shout-outs:

Naturally, first, to Mad_Moo 25524, for introducing me to the wonderful world of Storybooks, and letting me help you with the BT vs YH sequel. It was sooo much fun, and I hope we can collaborate again soon ;)

Next, to Bickazer (I know, right??), for helping me tremendously with my Hellfire story. You were right; it kinda sucks right now, and you pointed out so much and gave me so much feedback that will help me fix that and all my other train-wreck stories XD

Also, a shout-out similar to that to everyone who has given me feedback and crits. I know I can be a little...hot-headed, shall we say? sometimes, so thanks for putting up with me ^^ Me, and my hoof-paws XD Thanks for all your sweet comments too ^^ *blush*

Then, to all the friends I've made in the Storybook forum. To name a few: Lauren2010, WhiteTiger93, Arya, Chupatosta (writing Playing With Fire was tons of fun; sorry I fell out of it :(), and others. YES, I consider you guys friends.......muahahaha XD

And THANK YOU, YWS, for being an amazing site where writers of all ages and genres can go to just WRITE. We may all have different interests and customs in reality, but on here, we all share one thing: A love of writing. For showing us this, I thank you ^_^

Hope to see you all around soon!!

Much love and good wishes,
~Rayne

Well, I haven't been around for a couple months, getting caught up with my other life, but I just knew I couldn't stay away from you guys for too long. Yesterday, I returned to YWS, and was moderately surprised to still see that I was an Instructor. Also yesterday was my one year anniversary for joining YWS, and man, I can say this whole thing was an experience.

You guys are awesome. You helped me out in so many ways. I have grown better in my writing, and in my reviewing, and I am actually proud to call my reviews actually mine now. I made friends that are worth many, and I have to say, this whole experience is one in a million. I thank you Nate for putting up this awesome site.

This is my memory of 'O9 though, and it is my absolute favourite. It was when YWS went down and we were all in a panic. I transferred over quickly to the back up site, where me, Rosey, JabberHut, and Shiina went crazy and had the 'Extremely Slow Chat' conversations. I have to say, I did one of my best reviews on that site. I also enjoyed having free reign of the names for that short bit of time, and one day, I vow that JabberHat will return. ;)

My parents thought me crazy because they knew YWS was down, and they thought they would be able to get me off the computer. Well they were wrong.

I love you YWS, and I hope this fun never ends.
Cheers,
~Incognito

I joined YWS this year and it's been awesome. :) I've met a lot of interesting people and read many memorable works. I've also received some very helpful reviews that helped me improve on my poetry quite a lot! Rock on, YWS!

This is a cool idea, having a yearbook.

Although I can't say much about memories, seeing as I have only joined today, but in the space of 3 hours, I've already met some wicked people, gave some awesome reviews and posted a nibbit of my story.

So yeah, I think I'm gonna like it here.
Love,
