Im still a noob so this is kinda weird but sending a shout out to all the people out there who are going to become Writers, Authors, Songwriters, Movie Writers, Painters, Artists, Etc. Remember YWS and all the works of art created here. Remember right now and how you feel writing for the entire world to read. I hope you get the same great feeling later in life. Hope you had a great 2009 and have a great 2010. Welcome the new decade with open arms and open hearts. Keep to your resolutions. (mines to learn a 3rd language TEE HEE)

2009 was the worst year I have seen, lets all write for our lifes and inspire so this year will be much better! But it was only us, as people, that made 2009 fall, so maybe all of us just trying our best to keep our own New Year's resolutions will stop us falling again.

Thank you to everyone for helping me improve on my writing and art. I would like to thank a couple of people in particular, as well.
Kitty15: You was the first person to ever speak to me on YWS, and over the years you've been a great help and an amazing friend.
TNCowgirl: Thank you for supporting me when I first joined YWS, you inspired me and helped me improve on my creativity (such as storybooks).
AquaMarine and Kamas: My Aquie Pants and Kam Kam! I've really enjoyed chatting with you guys in the chat room, especially when it came to chat speak!
Juniper: You are the nicest person and friend anyone could ever have. Thank you so much for the crits on my art work, and for just being a wonderful friend.
JD, Beckiw, CreativeFreak, Aet, Jabbs, Adna, and all of my other chat buddies: You guys are the best and I hope to keep chatting away with you for years to come!
Emi: You are literally my best friend, and I couldn't ask for more. Thank you for sticking with me these past couple of months and not forgetting me like everyone else at school.
Anyone I might have forgotten, I will edit in later. =]
Ever since I joined YWS, my writing has improved. I thank those who had reviewed my work, especially those who had given me advice on writing; it really helped. The community is pleasant and the site is well-organized. So far, YWS is the best writing site that I had ever came across.
Cori: Thank you. I needed you most, and you took me in at 10 years old. If only you could see where I am now.
Writewatiwant: *Noms
Silented1: Ed! Funny! Thanks for chatting with us!
Snoink: Snoink! *Bows* I have recruits for our evil minions! O great and awesome Snoink!
OxfordandOnyx: Thanks for the encouragement
Matt Bellamy: For being to only one who appointed me. Thanks, dude
Lastly, I would like to give an extreme thanks to Kamas. You have been a great chat mod, and thank you so much for putting me in my place when my evil , loves-to-break-the-rules self came out and insisted on spamming. I have control now, thanks to you
Overall, one of the best years of my life, I know there are a lot of you that I missed, and I love you guys too! Happy New Year, guys

This year, writing literally saved my life, along with a few other key moments and people. I was headed down a dark, sad road. Being able to express myself to others let me realize that as long as I have something to say, there is always an ear to listen and a mouth to give me advice. I haven't been on as much as I would have liked due to extenuating circumstances, but I mean it when I say I love you guys.
For being fellow writers, for being so kind in the forum and the chat-room, for sharing your voices, for responding to mine, for making me laugh, for making me cry, for reminding me of beauty, I love you all.
I'm heading into the new year with newfound hope, and I thank you guys for keeping me strong this past year.
Cheers to 2009 and 2010, octocoffee

This year i went through a real rough patch. My life seemed like it was destroyed, but then there was Dreamer. She told me something which began my mantra: It will get better in time. Dreamer I just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP! Your have helped get through this thing and now I'm feeling a lot better. Thank you Dreamer Thank you YWS Bring On 2010 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wizkid515
Everybody wants to go to heaven; but nobody wants to die.
(I think we all know why I shouldn't -- and won't -- do any personal messages this time around; it'd be neverending)
In honesty, I cannot thank the community on YWS for all that they've done for me. I've made some amazing friends on here, and it's hard to say where I would be today without them. To all of you -- Thank you so much for being there. (Some of you have really been outstanding friends to me-- and you should know who you are; I'm forever grateful).
To all of you who have helped me through some mountain or molehill, thank you so much. Whether it was writing (I owe a lot to a lot of you for making me come as far as I did, although I still can improve), or art, or photos-- I appreciate all of the commentary and such that has gone around.
I do, however, want to say to Nate that all the work he's ever done for YWS in its life is great. Moreover, the work he's done for it in the past year is rather outstanding; it was a challenging progress to make the switchover for YWS, and it certainly paid off. Many thanks for the YWLJ, for the new YWS, for Squills, for Writing Gooder, and for everything you've done to make YWS more than it is.
To all of those who took part in the Completely Evil Plan, two thumbs up. It was one of the best experiences ever to see that people could, and will, come together to do something kind for someone in need whether they know the person or not. I owe alot to the coordinator of this project as well, for organizing it, for providing the opportunity, for persevering and for her endless support.
To say the least, I owe a lot to YWS! I'm very thankful to be here -- and there's a lot I can say here, but we don't need a novel in a yearbook (if it wasn't for YWS, I would have never finished my novel in three days). Here's to more years to come on YWS!

Young Writers Society has truly helped me. Not only in writing, but I've also found a community of dedicated writers. Dedicated TEEN writers. Before I joined YWS, I thought no one could match my dedication to writing. But I've gushed and marveled over so many good stories, critiqued bad ones with a passion.
And I cannot thank people enough for the endless support. Whether on YWS or somewhere else, members have helped me through every story. My first attempt of writing a story completely beyond my limits (at the time) ended up being a popular romance story on here. I've found acceptance for being who I am: a deaf writer. No one's criticized against my deafness. No one's said, "You can't...because you're deaf." And for me, for someone that's heard that all my life, that means more than anything.
I really do want to thank everyone. But I also want to thank the people who have helped and supported me more than anyone.

Let's hope this website lasts for a long, long time. 'Cause it rocks.
First of all, this site is amazing. How much I've improved my writing in the last couple months, I wouldn't be able to tell you because it's just unbelievable! I stumbled upon this site when I was searching google one day and I swear, I'm hooked. So thankful to Nate who has created such marvelous working and powerful site. I hope to see it grow even more in the future and hopefully become that first stepping stone for future authors. I'm so glad to be here, thank you YWS!

There are three rules for writing a novel. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are. -W. Somerset Maugham
Well, 2009 was an interesting year. And maybe I only posted about 20 times, but I still think I should leave something here so I can remember this year. There are about a hundred people I could mention, but I'm going to stick to... whoever comes to mind, because that is what I do.
First has to be Pengy and Bubbles, who both put up with me and my company and my writing and etc. They've both been really great over the last few (few? O_O) years.
Saint and Cat and Jabber. Who are all awesome and fun to yell with.
Matt... Matt. Just Matt. X D
My brain is going blank. And I am missing everyone. Gah.
Well, I have to think all the shiny coloured people, for making the site great and stuff.
Everyone who frequents the chat. It isn't dominated for six hours a night by the NZ/Australia kids, I guess, but I go in every now and again and it's always great to see everyone.
And I guess I have to reference Chey. Because she can kick me in real life if I don't. So, to Chey. For making last year bearable.
When I first joined YWS, it was more out of the fact that I was having an awful year and I wanted to think. And now, writing has become my hobby and YWS has definitely helped in improving my creativity and everything loosely related to it.
I guess this is the best way to shout out to all the awesome people here : You guys rock! Thanks for being a part of my life in one of my best ever years.
And I can't resist adding this :
Cheers, ~Lava
