YWS has been a great place where I've been able to interact with fellow writers of my peer group. I've learned a bunch from this site, and I've had a lot of enjoyable times!

Thanks to everyone who's made my experience on here awesome and fun!

Here's to a new year with new memories! :D

There are two kinds of folks who sit around thinking about how to kill people:
psychopaths and mystery writers.

The Young Writers Society is just AWESOME! I'm already dreading the day I'm too old to participate here. Well, I found this place in February. I had just started writing on my novel and needed somewhere to get it seen, and I literally stumbled upon this wonderful place. It's given me inspiration and a want to write. LOADS!
I wanna thank you all on here, for making this an awesome place for every aspiring author, and those passionate about writing.
Also they've connected me to a friend I'm sure I'll have forever. So I thank this site grately for that!

I'm sure 2010 will be an even bigger year for YWS. Keep on the good work! Love you guys!

Love, Liz :elephant:

Adnamarine cabbage: This is probably the most enthusiastic shoutout I will give in the entire post.
Aet Lindling: This shoutout is dedicated to the Grey Group. Long live monochrome!
Alice, Alteran, Bella and CRA: Y'know what I think? Dr Pepper popsicles rule. Also, we should fire up the Highwind and set sail for new worlds again, and stuff.
Bolt (and actually, all the Academy folks): No, I haven't started a new Academy thread yet. I haven't forgotten it though, and I really want to give it another try sometime. Anyway. Yay Bolty!
bubblewrapped: what pumpkin?
Demeter: :0
Dreamer: 0: I owe you a murderin' in that Sanctum game... does it even still exist?
Firearris Ash whoever you are: I owe you a pummelin' in that Smash Bros game... does it even exist in your house?
hiverious: Be more active on here plzzzzzzzz.
Insomnia: I'm sure we have at least one inside joke I can refer to here, but I can't for the life of me think of it.
JabberHut: Umm... RANDOMOSITY?
Kitty15: I don't think we talked enough this year! Except when I was chibibo on the backup site. Haha, that was cool.
Lindsaroo...: ... oooooooooooooooooooo.
little tin fish: inside joke... inside joke... Red Baron?
Loose: We're tight, yo. (lololol seewhatididthere)
Meep(:: Hmm, see that looks weird now because there are two colons. Looks like you have two pairs of eyes and stuff. Maybe I should just put one...
Meep(: But this doesn't make sense, because it looks like your name is "Meep(" now. People will look at it and wonder what the significance of the opening parenthesis is. I'm so conflicted...
Nutty: <3
PenguinAttack: rawr?
Sachiko RACHIKO: KUU.
silented1 Promethius: Coolest name ever.
Skell: If there was one word to describe this guy, it would probably be... Fluffy Puff Marshmallows. Or Skell. Either one, really. They both work.

The people that aren't in my friends list for some reason: Hiya.

Joined two days ago? Not really sure. Decided that it was time I found some friends that share my intrest in writing. Haven't used the English language for about 3 years now so I'm really out of practise, but this will be a challenge I'm looking forward to. Spelling, grammar and everyting eles are probably horrible. Maybe when I'm back to my former english-speaking self I will have the courage to write my fiction in English insted of Swedish. Then it will definitly be posted here, thats a promise.

Best new years wishes to all the YWS members

Internet, grant me the serenity to read the things I cannot write, the patience to write the things I can, and the wisdom to know most things are the former.
Spoiler
I like people thinking that I have something so scandalous to say that I put it in spoiler tags, and I'm sorry that because of this selfish desire you were roped into reading this for not real lasting value.

The year has revealed a lot of things, and I'm glad to have spent some of it here. I want to keep this short and sweet, so I will end it by saying:

1. That I would not be the same person I am today.
2. That my writing would not be as nearly as good.
3. That I would not have met some of the best people I've ever met.
4. That I appreciate this site with all of my heart.
and
5. That I love everyone that I've met, no matter what type, I love you all.

Let's give it another year, eh? :D

I feel that by being on YWS and talking to different people and learning different styles helps your writing no matter what. To me, my writing has grown trememdously even though I have not posted anything new on my story in awhile...(which I will begin again soon) I have made great friends here and feel welcome. I would like to so thank you to all of my YWS friends.(You know who you are!) They have helped me more than I can really say. :D

I just joined this website yesterday and love it. I just wanna say thanks if you gave a chance on me and helped and didn't ignore me like most people would. 2009, was a great year. I learned how much I really enjoyed writing and how it opened doors for me. I wanna thank a person from warriors message board who has an account on here for helping me. I don't know their user name on here but on warriors their name was FOXCLOUD. Foxcloud, thank you. Thank you everyone! Ah, back when I first joined, before I discovered the chat, I remember a couple of my pieces made it into the Featured Works. It was then that I knew this site would be worth sticking with, for if a newbie could get their pieces featured, anyone worthy could.

I'm a newbie on YWS, and I think YWS is an awesome site! (I posted this on my blog too) This is what I thought about this site-- it's the exact words from my blog post:

I just want to talk about my experience here at YWS. I came here as a little shy person with a heck of a lot of hope for readers. I checked out the chatroom first. The members there were ever so friendly! Everyone in the chatroom stopped their conversation and said something like: "Hey Writing!" or "Hey Joy! Welcome to YWS!"

I was like: Holy cow. I didn't expect people to even notice me!

"If you need help, feel free to come back and ask us questions!" they had said.

"Okay. Thanks!" I typed in, then I surfed around, and posted my poem. Then, I came back with a question.

"Hey Joy! Have a question? Go ahead."

I entered it-- making so many mistakes on my way. (you see, I was pretty awestruck)

...

Now, I'm visiting this site 24/7!

Here are some specific details about that experience.

1. All of them said "Hi" and nicknamed me.
2. They joked around and made this little world bright.
3. They told me to PM them if I had a question (or go back to the chatroom in that case)
4. They all said "Bye, (nickname goes here)!"

I'll never regret that time when I was looking for YWS. Now, here I am, stuck to the monitor! :D

I love this place. YWS is not just a site for writers, it's a site for friends who help each other through life and through revisions and plot holes. I will never forget this place for as long as live.

And I want to give a shout-out to Nate, Jiggity, June, Conrad Rice, Kitty, always, Rina, Kylan, KJ, Areida, ashleylee, Snoink, and all of you other YWSers.
