At the Young Writers Society, we ask our members to make three reviews for each literary work they post. This review to work ratio is required.

A review is any reply to a short story or poem that is at least 250 characters long (which equals about 50 words).

Lol, skin of my teeth. My ratio is 6.37, which is a relief, because I'd rather not go through and do four reviews for every bit of work I've posted. That would be a hectic nightmare. It seems my early days on YWS will never cease to haunt me. XD The topic I have the most posts in is the Character Answer Game, and aside from a brief visit a couple months ago, I haven't been in there for ages and ages. Likewise, I haven't posted a literary work of my own for ages and ages.

I was a bit worried that you would go with the 2 reviews for every post you make version of the 2:1 rule... and I have 1055 posts, 191 of which are reviews. And you were talking about bringing the ratio of to 5:1 in December and... yes. Such things are not good to read when on minimal sleep. @_@

Anyway, cool. :)

I'm going to sleep now.

I have posted 10 pieces on here so far and done 35 reviews but under my statistics it says my ratio is 0.00 per literary piece? Is there something I am missing here because if my maths is correct it should be 3.5:1. Unless posting in other forums counts?
Thanks.

Thanks for spotting that AquaMarine. I'm not sure why it didn't update correctly for you the first time around, but I redid everything. Your ratio is now correct.

Well, I better get reviewing. I am at a perfect 2. 10 reviews/5 works.

Hey, I'm just not much of a reviewer. Sometimes I can spew out 2 screenfuls, other times I can barely think of a word.

Looks like I've been doing pretty well...2.04 reviews per literary work.

Is that why my ratio is now down to 5.62, even though I've not posted any stories or any such thing since my last post, when I had 6.37?

Yeah, better than hiking it up to five all at once.

I'm at 7.00 reviews per literary work. It sounds good, but it's only because I've only posted two works on the site. *sighs* I better start writing.

P.S. I think it's a great idea to increase the ratio to 5:1. It will give me no choice but to work on the quality of my reviews. :) Thanks Nate!

Awwh, now my ratio has gone down! :( Better get reviewing to pull it back up.

My ratio used to be 21:1, and after I did a review yesterday, it was 16.84:1. I must admit I fail at maths, but shouldn't the ratio have gone up instead of down, since I didn't post any new works?

Love the error message idea. :)
One quick question...are the stars going to come back for how many reviews we've done. (Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere else).
