Lyanna raised an eyebrow at Tanya. "I've spent my entire life being lyed to. I can tell when someone's lying or not. You're keeping something from me."

In truth, Lyanna felt slightly dissapointed. Every time she turned around somebody was lying to her, or hurting her physically. She was tired of it. "Don't tell me if you don't want to I guess." Lyanna said, shrugging. She checked her watch again. 12:22. She got up. "I need to get home if I want to be able to function tomorrow. Thanks for fixing my arm."

Tanya

"I'm not lying," Tanya insisted. She may hate lying, but she was still good at it. There were few humans who could see that she was lying.

"Right," Lyanna snorted, standing to leave. "It's fine. You don't have to tell me anything." She was trying to play it cool, but Tanya could tell she was secretly hurt.

"Look, I was supposed to leave and go out of town for a few days," Tanya sighed. It wasn't a lie, she thought, she really would be leaving just not to any placethey could go. "But, how about I stay and you guys have a sleepover at my house?"

Sadie smiled brightly. "I'm always up for a sleepover!" She smiled. Tanya grinned back and turned to Lyanna. This was really meant for her. She didn't want her to go back to gettting burned and beaten.

Gillim

"We're near the edge," Gillim said in a supremely unconcerned voice. "Why?"

Sharonda ran a hand through her hair. "I need to get home. This place is dangerous."

"Why, are you leaving so soon?" He sounded disappointed.

"Well... yes, actually, as I said before this place is dangerous."

Gillim sighed theatrically. "Go if you must. I suppose I shall remain here, lonely as ever. I hardly ever get visitors, you know."

"Maybe you'd get more if you didn't live in the Black Forest," Sharonda replied dryly. "Which way's town?"

Clotho

"I was just trying to calm myself down, you know with the princess missing and all, I'm trying not to go crazy," She admitted sheepishly. She being one of Tanya's friend, she should be on the search for her now.

She looked up at them, "So what are you doing out here?"

Sharonda

Gillim pointed in the direction of town, but he still looked upset. Sharonda sighed. "How about you come with me to town? There's a load of stuff to do there." Gillim looked doubtful. "Come on, it'll be fun!"

Lyanna

A sleepover? She was astonished. She had never been invited to someone's house for one minute, let alone one night. Tanya seemed to see the shock in her eyes. "You don't have to of course." She said hurriedly. "I just thought-"
"I'd love to." Lyanna interrupted. "But my parents wouldn't approve." Tanya looked dissapointed. Lyanna heaved a sigh. Then an idea came to her. "My parents are used to me locking myself in my room, sometimes for days at a time. On weekends they don't expect me downstairs in the morning. I could climb out my window." Lyanna was excited at the prospect of actually going somewhere that she was wanted.

Sadie

I smiled.
"So it's sorted then?"
Lyanna smiled at us, she looked so happy, for a second I though I might cry. Who looks that happy just because they have a sleepover?
When Lyanna left, with both our numbers, I turned to Tanya.
"Ok, Tanya, I think you need to tell me something."
"What?" She replied, looking confused, but slightly scared.
"Look, I'm not stupid. What is all this? Who are you? You practically healed Lyanna, you speak like you're from a different age and not long ago you said some of those cruel humans ,like you were talking about a different species, I let it go, but damn it was wierd. And so are you. You aren't like anybody else I've ever met. And now you're going all maternal on Lyanna, what is with you?"
She looked shocked. So was I, these things came tumbling out of my mouth sometimes before I could stop them. Maybe I was just paranoid.
"Sorry, I -"
Tanya cut me off with a wave of her hand. "No, it's ok. Just - just sit down."
I did as she said, and waited until she opened her mouth.

*sorry thought I'd speed it along.*

Lyanna walked home quickly, brimming with anticipation. I can't believe that I was actually invited to someone's house! She thought. She got to her house quickly andd opened the door. Her parents were still asleep. She crepts back into her room, shut the door, and got in bed. There's something strange about Tanya. Lyanna thought as she drifted off.

Tanya

"I'm just...different," she explained.

"Obviously," Sadie sighed. "Care to elaborate."

Tanya took a deep breath. "I'm-I'm not like you." Why couldn't she just get it out.

"We've already been through that," Sadie smiled. "Just tell me what you need to tell me. I'm a big girl, I can handle it."

Well if she insisted, Tanya thought. "I'm not human. I live in the Lost World, a place where humans don't live, and I just so happen to be a farie," Tanya sighed, shrinking away.

"You have got to be kidding me-" Sadie started.

"Not just a farie but...a princess," Tanya replied quietly, biting her lip.

"NOthing" I replied.
"have you known from Tanya?" I asked a buit unsure about it since she was close friends with her. It was like if I missed my friends, like Sar.
"NOthing" Clotho siad as she looked down at the ground. It must have bben painful for her to even answer that. Tany went missing months ago now and we knew nothing about her. The kingdom had been searching for her everywhere but she was nowhere to be found. I even went in one of those journeys to the mortal world.
"Wanna come with us" Sar asked her.
"I don't know"
"Oh, come on, Clo!" I said, taking her arm and pulling her.

**Sure, I'll bring Jet in.**

When Lyanna woke up the next morning her burn was completely gone. She stared at her now pale skin, and felt gratitude to Tanya.

She changed her clothes and shouldered her backpack, heading downstairs. Her parents were still asleep. She crept across the room and went outside, shutting the door behind her. She walked down the road, stopping at the end of the block. She stood there for a minute, and Stefan came up. He had a black eye, several bruises, and even more missing teeth. He ignored her completely. That was good.

The bus came up, yellow and loud. It hissed to a stop in front of her. The door opened with a clatter. She climbed up the steps. Most of the seats were full, but she found one next to Jet. She sat down and set her backpack on the floor in between her feet.

Gillim

Gillim laughed nervously and tugged at his shirt collar. "That sounds lovely Miss Sharonda, but there are, er, people in town that I may have displeased at some point or other."

"Aw, come on. It's the least I can do for you."

He still didn't look completely convinced. "It really might be better if I just-"

"You can't stay out here in the forest forever," she pointed out.

Gillim was quiet for a moment. "Fine, I suppose you're right. Let's go then."

A fairy princess? What was that about?

After Tanya had told me, I'd run home, jumped into bed and started to think. She'd been nervous as she'd said it, but also sure of herself, proud and almost defiant.
It was the next morning and I hadn't slept a wink. Tanya's words kept running through my head.
"I'm not human. I live in the Lost World, a place where humans don't live, and I just so happen to be a farie."
I knew it was stupid, absurd. Faries exist about as much as Santa.
But right now, I wouldn't be suprised to see an old, fat bloke in red fly past me and throw a present through my window.
I knew it wasn't true, I knew it. But if that was the case, why did I have that "feeling" in my stomach. Why couldn't I sleep last night? And why did I keep imagining what the Lost World might look like. As wierd as it sounded, I thought I might believe her.
In a daze, I almost missed the bus. So I ran out the house, slinging my bag over my shoulder and waving at it to stop. As I got on, I looked over at Stefan, he looked like he'd just got run over. Awesome. Lyanna and Jet were sitting next to each other, so I took the seat opposite them, sat back, and let even more thoughts overwhelm me.

**Hey guys, before we go any further, I'm really really sorry if I screw something up at the school if we continue it there. I've never been inside a school during school hours before.**

xD Gasper (sorry, I love calling you that), no worries. We'll roll with it. I've never been to an American school so I might get some terminology wrong. This can be a cool mix of a British school, American school and a made up school that I don't know the word to.
Carry on!
