"Only problem is we couldn't figure out where y'alls presents to each other was." Jayke mom said. "We found the ones to the rest of us, but not to each other."

"We're waiting til we get to the cabin." Trent replied. His mom eyed him. "It's nothing bad! I swear, you'll get to see them when we get back."

"Better not be." His mom repleid as she started eating. Jayke laughed and then continued to eat.

Brooklyn giggled and rolled her eyes, taking a gentle bite of her eggs. He father glanced at her, looking back at his food before looking at her again and again and again. "What is it father dearest?" Brooklyn smirked.

"Nothing!" Her father busted into laughter as everyone finished up.

"PRESENTS!" Brooklyn and Taylor screamed, both shoot into the living room with everyone following behind.

Jayke followed them out and sat on the couch as Brooklyn and Taylor split up the presents into piles. When Brook had his and her's in front of them he pulled her onto his lap and smiled and she pouted at him.

"I want to open my presents." She pouted.

"Parents first." He laughed as their parents smiled.

Brooklyn pouted as the parents eagerly opened their presents. They didn't stop opening them for another hour. Brooklyn was about to die, but Jayke had been distracting her by playing with her hair, which felt amaizing. When it was finally their turn to open the presents Brooklyn screeched and dived into the wrapped boxes, careful not to crush them.

**Maybe we should just skip to them leaving for the cabin**

**Ok**

When they pulled up to the cabin the next morning Jayke laughed when Brook ran inside wtih her stuff as him and Trent got the rest of it. They put the presents by the fireplace and smiled when Brook screeched, again!

Brooklyn and Taylor looked at each other, then back at the guys, then the presents, then each other again, both of them suddenly lunging at the lit up tree, almost slamming heads. Brooklyn grabbed Jayke's A&M stuff while Taylor grabbed Trent's Longhorn stuff, both keeping the other stuff, minus the watches, hidden. They'd give that to them later. "No, this time we'll be good. You two open your stuff first." Brooklyn smiled and bent down under the tree to grab the rest of the stuff plus her and Taylor's presents. She hopped over to Jayke and plopped down beside him, smiling brightly as she waited for him to open everything.

Jayke raised and eyebrow. "Really now?"

"Uh huh." She smiled he laughed and opened them up smiling.

"SWEET!" Everything fit just right and was perfect. He gave her a hug then kissed her holding her close. "Thank you." He smiled.

"Your welcome." She replied beaming. He snagged the box with her necklace in it and put it in her hands.

"Open it." He sat back hoping she would like it.

Brooklyn smiled softly at Jayke and opened the rectangular box, a gasp resounding from her mouth. She held the box with trembling hands before lunging at Jayke and hugging him tightly. "Jayke, it's beautiful." She smiled softly, tears leaking from her eyes. She took the necklace out of the case. "Will you put it on me?" She smiled softly.

"Well of course," Jayke smiled, hooking the clasp together when Brooklyn lifted her hair.

"Thank you Jayke," she hugged him again. "This is beautiful."

Brooklyn smiled widely, touching the heart necklace gingerly. "It's so pretty!" She smiled. "Ed Hardy-ish! Just like you!" She teased and Taylor pouted.

"Well, I love it and I love you!" She giggled, falling against Trent playfully. "Oh! This is for you too!" She handed him his ring and he opened it, soon planting a kiss on her lips and whispering something to her, both suddenly taking off towards the stairs. Brooklyn giggled and shook her head.

"Thank you so much." She smiled, turning back to Jayke before kissing him passionately.

Jayke held her close. "That isn't it." He said as he looked at her. "Come on, lets go for a walk, it's really pretty outside." He said as he grabbed a thick jacket for her and then pulled one on himself. They walked outside to the pourch and looked out over the woods.

"What do you mean this isn't it. This is a great, if not probably really expensive present." She said looking at him.

"Your worth every penny." He smiled at her. "You'll just have to wait a little longer for the other thing." He smiled, she eyed him smiling a little.

"Tell me please." She said pouting.

"No, I shouldn't have even told you there was something else." He replied. "I'm still trying to figure out how to give it to you." He admitted running a hand through his hair.

Brooklyn's feet sunk a good half foot before she hit solid ice from the night before. She giggled and caught up to Jayke, latching her arm with his. Her other hand was in her jacket pocket, her fingers dancing over the chain with her ring on it and the ring for Jayke. After walking a little bit Jayke covered her eyes quickly, leading her somewhere for the next five minutes. They finally stopped and Jayke pushed her down gently, making her land on a hard, fallen log. He sat down behind her and removed his hands, Brooklyn instantly gasping. The sun was just high enough in the sky to make all the snow sparkle and glisten. "Wow Jayke. This is amazing." She breathed, her eyes dancing over the beauty of it all. "Almost as good as the water fall." She giggled. Speaking of the water fall, they had only went that one time but never had a chance to go ahead. They sat there for a couple minutes, just watching the scenery. Brooklyn's head was rested on Jayke's chest and his arms where wrapped around her waist.

"Brooke," Jayke finally breathed, "there's something I want to give you. But I can't quite find the words to say. I've told you a thousand times that I love you, and I want to continue saying that to you for the rest of our lives. I love you Brooke, and I have since we were kids. The day you said you'd be my girlfriend was the happiest day of my life, and I'll never forget it. Ever. I know we're too young for marriage. I mean, sure we're seniors, but we've still got college, and whatever follows. Here... I love you Brooke." He smiled again softly and took the box out of his pocket, handing it to her, his grip on her waist tightening. Brooklyn untied the ribbon on the black box and opened it slowly, a choked gasp coming straight from her mouth. Her eyes filled with tears as she studied the ring, the sun making the gems sparkle.

"J-Jayke... it's gorgeous." She breathed, slipping it onto her finger.

"A gorgeous ring, for a gorgeous girl." Jayke smiled softly, Brooklyn suddenly kissing him with extreme passion. He kissed back and they fell backwards against the snow, Brooklyn suddenly pulling away.

"I have something for you too." She whispered, grabbing the two boxes out of the jacket pocket. She handed Jayke his ring and the necklace with her purity ring hanging off of it, both still in their boxes. "I had the same thing in mind. You know, a promise ring. I love you Jayke... I really... really do."

Jayke opened the first one that had her purity ring on it. He looked over at her.

"I want you to keep it safe." She smiled. He kissed her and nodded. He opened the other one and smiled as he read their names, then the 'I Promise' on the inside of it. He slipped it on his finger and pulled her close kissing her.

"I love you so much." He said as he kissed her again. He never wanted to let her go, ever.

**It's cool**

Jayke held her close, they sat out there for a long time before his feet started to feel like they would freeze off.

"We better get inside." He said helping her up and hten walking iwth her back inside. They stripped out of their thick clothing down to the thin bottom layer and then walked over to the fire to warm up after he started some hot coco. He held her close as he watched the fire dance around in the fire place. "This is bout near perfect." He sighed.
