War of the Tsurekin

"Shigure, she took something." Skylar replied getting and swallowing.

"It was the rock." Sahara growled. Skylar bit her lower lip.

"Lets go, we need to follow her." Ivy replied turning and hurrying up the stairs. Skylar followed with Tala behind her. The small group took off at a run as Skylar followed Sahara's scent. She stopped for a few seconds.

"The guy with the praying mantius is here." She said looking at Ivy.

Skylar smelled another scent as well as they entered the junkyard. "Wait, someone else is here, too."

"Do you know who it is?" Kai asked.

She shook her head. "No. I've never smelled this scent before."

"Then we'd best be careful," Ivy said. They followed Shigure's scent until they found her in the center of the junkyard standing beside Alex.

Alex smiled when he saw Kai among the group. "It's great to see you again, Kai. Is it true you were able to perform Soul Fusion?"

Kai frowned. "How did you know?"

"Shigure told me, of course. In fact, she's told us everything about you guys. We even know where Draco's resting place is."

Skylar looked at Shigure and said, "Shigure, how could you? We trusted you!"

"What do you expect from a spy?" Shigure said in cold emotionless voice.

Skylar clinched her fists looking at Shigure angerly. "I was right about you." She growled.

"Doesn't matter." Alex replied with a triumphant smile. Skylar tried to settle her breathing wanting to smash his face in. Tala moved so she was touching Skylar's leg letting her know Tala felt the way. Skylar took a deep breath.

"The other scent is getting closer, it's so bitter." She said in a low voice her anger under control so if she fought she could use it to help her and not hinder her. Her muscles relaxed a little as she watched the two standing in front of her, she wasn't relaxed to the point of defensless, she was just to the point that her movements wouldn't be jolted if she needed to go somewhere quickly.


***So the other person she smells is the guy from Tsurekian. And is Skylar ever going to be able to preform Soul Fusion?***

(Yes, and don't worry. Skylar will be able to perform it soon, I'm just waiting for the right moment. Do you have an idea of what you want her to look like and what her name will be when she transforms?)


They heard the sound of large footsteps approaching. A large figure appeared from behind one of the many large piles of junk. It was a large Tsurekin, about twice the size as a human. It was a biped that walked in a hunched position. It walked mostly with its legs, but also used its hands to help distribute its balance.

The unique thing about this Tsurekin was that it had more than one head. Growing out from between its shoulders were two heads, a bird and lion's, and just below them on the upper part of its chest was the head of a bull. Its tail wasn't a tail at all, but rather a large cobra that hissed whenever it saw someone moved. Its feet were hooves, and its hands looked like Ryukin's claws, except bigger. Its body was made up of different colours wherever there were different body parts. From its bull head down to its hooves were red, its bird head and arm beside it was blue, the lion head and the arm beside it was yellow, its claws were black, and its snake tail was a combination of black and yellow.

Ivy caught her breath, she knew exactly who that Tsurekin belonged to. Skylar noticed her reaction and asked, "Ivy, do you know this Tsurekin?"

She nodded. "That is Chimera, Jirran's Tsurekin."


(I'll let you describe Jirran in your next post. He's going to be around the same age as Ivy.)

***I was thinking alot like a walking wolf, like up on it's feet. She'll have prominate teeth and nails. Any ideas?***

Skylar watched as a guy stepped out from behind the Tsurekin smiling.

"Hello, Ivy." He smiled. Skylar narrowed her eyes. He was tall, he wasn't wirey, but he wasn't built. His face looked cruel and there seemed to be a scar above his left eye. His hair was pitch black and she could've sworn his eyes were grey. She clenched her fists a little and narrowed her eyes breathing in.

"There isn't anyone else." She replied.


*Oy, just got back from work*

(That's what I was thinking, too. I was also thinking of making her claws glow blue and become lasers that can cut through things. Have you thought of a name for her?)


Ivy frowned. "Jirran, what are you doing here?"

"I'm here to congratulate my spy on a job well done." He turned to Shigure, held out his hand, and said, "Shigure, the crystal."

Shigure nodded and handed him the crystal. He smiled as he moved it around in his hand.

"You don't even know what this is, Ivy," he said. "If you had, you would have put it under heavier security."

Kai moved a little closer to Skylar and whispered, "I'm going to rush him."

"Don't, it's too dangerous!" she whispered back.

"If I can take him out right now, we won't have to worry about Tsurikansen anymore. I'm doing it." Without looking at Ryukin, he signaled the dragon to come closer with his hand. When Ryukin was right beside him he placed a hand on Kai's leg.

They both fused together to become Shinryu. He didn't give the enemy any time to think. He rushed forward with his sword in hand toward Jirran, who was still admiring the piece of rock in his hand. Shinryu lifted his sword over his head and brought it down at Jirran.

Jirran's free arm flashed with a bright light that momentarily blinded Shinryu. There was a loud clang before the light disappeared. When he could see again, he saw that Jirran's arm had turned into a large metal snake that had blocked Shinryu's sword with its mouth.

Jirran glared at Kai from the corner of his eye and said, "Chimera, get rid of this nuisance for me."


(What kind of job do you have? By the way, don't have Jirran and the others leave yet. There's still something I want to do with them first. But in your next post you can do something like Chimera grabbing Shinryu and throwing him at a car or something.)

(((I was working at a BMX race. And that works with her hands. I'm not sure what I'd want it, Skara, or something along those lines maybe a mix of their names. I'm not sure. )))

Skylar clenched her fists as the big Tsurekin picked Shinryu with what seemed with ease and slung him towards a stack of cars. She started to move forward but Ivy stuck her arm out.

"You've not a chance." Ivy replied, that made Skylar angry but she knew it was the truth. She looked towards Shinryu who was slowly getting up. She wished she could help in some way sort or fashion but she wasn't sure how.

Shinryu started to get back up, to try and attack again. Jirran seemed to know what he was thinking because he said, "Don't bother, boy. Even with Soul Fusion, it would take you two life times to get to my level of strength." Jirran turned to Alex and said, "Alex, let's go."

"Yes, sir." The two men and their Tsurekin started to leave.

"Wait," Shigure said. "Don't forget our deal. I helped you, now let my brother go."

Jirran stopped moving and stayed still for a moment. Then he laughed. He turned to face the girl and said, "My dear Shigure, whatever are you talking about?"

Shigure frowned. "Our deal was that if I helped you, you would release my brother."

"Is that so? Because I seem to remember it a little differently. When you came to me and demanded your brother be released, I said that as long as you helped us no harm would come to him. To this day I have held up my end of the bargain. If you want him to be released, then you'll have to do a lot more work for us."

Shigure's face was suddenly filled with rage. It was the first time any of them had seen pure, raw emotion in her eyes. "You bastard!!" She pulled a knife out from one of her sleeves and started running at him. Kaeru followed her.

Shigure jumped at Jirran, but his arm, still in snake form, slammed against her stomach and sent her flying into the side of a metal canister. Kaeru attacked, opening his mouth to use his tongue. Chimera caught the frog's tongue before it came in contact with his master. Using his massive strength, Chimera threw the frog into the side of a crane.

Jirran looked at Shigure, who lay on the ground in pain. "I'll give you your next assignment tomorrow, and you'd better show up for your brother's sake." He nodded at Alex, telling him it was time to go.

When they were gone, Shigure was on all fours. Tears started to pour out from her eyes as she clenched her hands into fists in the dirt. She lifted her head to the sky and screamed, "Shikashou!!!"


(I was thinking of having Shigure run away after this, then show up tomorrow night at the mansion and beg for everyone's forgiveness, thinking The Aushalten is the only place she can turn to in order to get her brother back. What do you think?)

Skylar watched Jirran go as she let it all sink in. He had Shigure's brother, that's why she'd betrayed them. She started to move towards Shigure when she took off.

"Let her be." Ivy said.

"We should help her!" Skylar said.

"You're the one that never fully trusted her." Ivy smiled a little.

"She has a damn good reason for what she did! This isn't a trick to get her back in the mansion to spy, that pain was real. Even for Shigure. We need to help her!" Skylar replied.

Shinryu reverted back to Kai and Ryukin. As they approached Kai said, "Shigure needs to calm down. She never really opened up to anyone when she was thinking straight, she won't want to even be near us while she's like this."

"But we can't just let her go off alone like that," Skylar said.

Kai looked off in the direction Shigure and Kaeru took off. "Whether she planned it or not, Shigure is part of The Aushalten, part of our family. When she realises that, she''l be back. All we can do is wait."

"More importantly, what was that stone Jirran had her steal from you?" Ryukin asked.

"I don't know," Ivy said. "I always thought it was just an ordinary gem my great grandfather had found on one of his expeditions. But if Jirran went through all that trouble just to get his hands on it... I'll have to go through my grandfather's notes when we get back and try to learn more about it."

"Then we better hurry." Skylar replied.

They made their way back to the mansion as quickly as they could. Everyone was waiting for them in the foyer when they walked through the door. Akira came up to Ivy and said, "We all heard the alarm. What happened?"

Ty was the one who asked, "Where's Shigure?"


(All I could think of, too.)

Skylar swallowed and looked at Kai and then Ivy.

"We don't know." Kai replied.

"Why the alarm?" Akira pushed again.

"Shigure stole a stone from the vault for Jirran." Ivy said softly. Ty shook his head.

"She wouldn't, there'd have to be a good reason for her to do that!" He replied defensivly.

"Jirran has her brother." Skylar replied. "She did have a good reason."

Everyone was quiet as the information sunk in. Ty was the first one to say, "She should have told us. We could have helped her."

"Maybe," Kai said, "but there's nothing we can do now except wait for her to come back."

"How do you know she'll come back?" Ceder asked.

"Because we're family," he said. "When she realises that she'll come back."

"In the meantime I have work to do," Ivy said. "If anyone needs me I'll be in the study. You should all get back to sleep."

Skylar bit her lower lip as she saw Ty look towards the door. Ceder put a hand on his shoulder and steered him back to their room.

"I feel bad for him." Skylar said wrapping her arms around her waist.

"She'll be back." Kai replied. "Go get some sleep."

"You too." Skylar replied looking at him.

"I know." They walked back to their rooms, Skylar could hardly sleep though, she knew what Jirran knew now, she clenched her teeth, he smelled so horrid.
