War of the Tsurekin

"So, if someone has that stone they could very possibly control the beasts?" Skylar asked.

"It's possible. That or they are just immune to the problems by that beast, I've not quiet figured out what it is yet, but the stone is something I wish I had guarded better now." Ivy replied.

"You didn't know." Kai replied. "We just need to keep our eyes out for the others and maybe we can get this one back."

"It's something I'll have to look into. As you said, Skylar, these stones might be tools that can be used to control the Tsurekin Lords," Ivy said. "But we don't know where the others are yet, and we aren't strong enough to confront Jirran and take back the one he stole."

"Then we'll just have to keep training until we are strong enough," Kai said. "I the meantime, we have our first real mission as The Aushalten."

"And what might that be?" Ivy asked.

"We're going to rescue Shigure's brother from Tsurikansen."

Ivy smiled. "That's good to hear. Unfortunately, you'll have to do it on your own. After what happened last night I don't want to leave the mansion unattended. And as for Akira, well..." They all looked across the room at the Japanese woman snoring on the couch with five empty bottles of beer laying on the floor in front of her. "She's out of commission for the rest of the night," Ivy finished.

"We need a lay out of the Tsurikansen buildings and where he could be. If it's straight enough without problem I don't see why we can't just run in there real fast grab him and go unless he is guarded or something." Skylar shrugged.

"Lets talk about this somewhere that we won't bother Ivy's reading." Kai replied. Everyone nodded an slipped out of her office.

"Tsurikansen was built so that someone couldn't break in and just take what they wanted and leave. It won't be that easy." Ivy replied.

"Thanks for the warning, Ivy," Kai said as he led everybody out of the study. They found a large empty room that nobody was using to discuss their plan. They all sat or stood around a big table in the center of the room. "So, can you tell us where Tsurikansen's hideout is?" Kai asked.

Shigure shook her head. "Unfortunately, I don't know. The only two times I ever saw Jirran was last night, and when I went to find him after I found out he kidnapped my brother. He always gave me my assignments through other members at predetermined locations. From what I discovered, very few people in Tsurikansen even know where the main hideout is."

"So how are we going to save your brother if we don't know where he is?" Ceder asked.

"I do know where he is. He isn't kept at their hideout. I know this because once in a while they would let me visit my brother. There's a small chance that I could free him myself, but I never tried because the risk was too great. There are always at least ten members with Tsurekin there at all times, three of which that are around your level of strength, and at least one that can use Soul Fusion. If all of you help me, then I think we can pull it off."

Kai nodded. "So, where are they keeping your brother exactly?"

"He's being kept at an old abandoned warehouse downtown by the pier." Shigure took some photos out from under her shirt and passed them around for everyone to look at.

When Skylar took a look at one of the pictures she said, "Hey, I know this place. About ten years ago the warehouse was shut down because a worker was crushed to death by a crate. Ever since then people have said the place was haunted."

"That never happened. It's nothing more than a rumour Tsurikansen made up in order to keep people out," Shigure said. "I never had the chance to do a complete sweep of the place, but I do know where my brother is being kept at how to get to that room. If you give me some paper and a pencil I can draw the layout from my memory."

"I think there's some paper in the next room," Kai said. He turned to Sean and said, "Sean, can you go get some?"

"Sure." He got up and went into the next room while Reiky sat on his shoulder.

Skylar watched as Sean came back and Shigure sketched it out. Skylar smiled as she looked it over. "It's a pretty straight shot to the room. If they're stupid enough to leave him in the same spot."

"They could have set up a trap thinking you would come and try and get him." Sean put in.

"I think we can do it." Skylar smiled.

"Sean is right," Shigure said. "Even though it's a straight shot we won't be able to get in without difficulty. The outer gate leading out to the street is always being guarded by at least two or three people."

"So in order to get inside we need to deal with those guards and unlock the gate, right?" Kai asked.

"Exactly."

"And how do you propose we do that?" Ty asked.

Shigure pointed to a part of the map she had drawn that was on the edge of the dock to the right of the building. "There's a ladder here that extends into the water. If we send a small team to swim to it they could sneak inside, take out the guards, and open the gate for everyone else."

"The team should consist of three people." Kai thought for a moment, deciding who would be the best candidates for the job. Since the primary objective would be to open the gate without being detected, stealth was their primary concern. Shigure would be the best choice, as well as Ty. Both of them were good at moving about without being seen. Elise should also be in that team, since she was the best swimmer out of all of them.

Kai nodded, signalling that he had made his decision. "The team will consist of Shigure, Ty, and Elise. Any questions?"

"What will the rest of us do?" Skylar asked.

"Once they take out the guards we'll go in." Kai replied.

"I want my brother out of there fast." Shigure said looking at Kai. "Maybe once we get him Skylar can get him out with Tala. He's not to big, Tala could carry him." Skylar smiled a little, Shigure really wanted her brother safe. She wasn't sure how Tala would feel about carrying someone she didnt' know if Kai agreed to it.

Kai nodded. "And once we get your brother out of there we'll need a distraction while you get him to safety. I'll stay behind and create that distraction while the rest of you get back here."

"Are you sure you should stay behind?" Sean asked. "I mean, the leader isn't usually someone who should stay behind to be a distraction."

"It's because I'm the leader that I'm staying behind," Kai explained. "A good leader should never ask something of his comrades that he would not be willing to do himself. Besides, Ryukin is the only Tsurekin here who can fly. If anything happens we can just fly out of there."

"If you say so..."

"I'll be fine," Kai said. He turned to Shigure and asked, "How soon do we move in?"

"Before midnight," she said. "I'm supposed to be somewhere at midnight tonight to get my next assignment from Jirran. When his messenger realises I'm not going to show up he'll notify Jirran and he'll try to move my brother. Tonight is our only shot."

Kai nodded again. "Then we'll leave as soon as the sun sets. We'll need the cover of night in order to sneak inside. Let's go over the plan one more time. Shigure, Ty, and Elise will sneak into the complex from the water while the rest of us waits by the front gate. Once the gate is open, we'll go into the warehouse, grab Shigure's brother, then get out. Any questions?"

"We need to all wear black." Skylar said looking at everyone. "All black." They all nodded and went to get changed. She got dressed in her black ninja looking out fit and smiled as she pulled her hair back and tucked it in her hood. She walked back Tala at her feet.

"I won't mind carrying her brother." Tala said softly.

"How old is your brother, Shigure?" Skylar asked when everyone else came back in.

"He's nineteen years old," she said.

"What's your brother's name?" Sean asked. "You haven't told us that yet, either."

"His name is Hiorimaru."

"Let's leave anymore questions about Shigure's brother until after we bring him back here," Kai said. "Right now we need to focus on the mission."

Elise looked out the window. "It's still raining. I don't think it's going to stop any time soon."

"That'll be another advantage to us," Shigure said. "The rain well act as extra cover on top of the darkness of the night. It will also lower the awareness of the guards outside."

"Is everyone ready?" Kai asked. They all nodded. "All right, let's go." They all went to the garage and spread out into three different cars. Before they knew it, they were heading toward their destination.

Skylar rubbed her hands together letting hte adrielene flow through her veins as she smiled. She would get the guy out and back to the masion before anyone knew what hit them.

"Lets get this over with." Kai smiled as the first group got out and moved.

Everyone hid across the street from the warehouse in a place where they could easily see the gate. As soon as it was open, they'll move in.

Meanwhile, Shigure, Elise, and Ty were already in the water. Quincy had to stay behind because he couldn't swim, but Kaeru, and Mira were with them. As they swam, Elise said, "Take your time and don't swim too hard. If you do, the guards might see the water resistance."


(Can you get them into the compound for me? Then you can hand it back over to me before they encounter the guards at the gate.)

Ty nodded and slipped under the water swimming along side the other two only coming up when he had to. They moved slowly as they went. He saw Elise and Mira dash under the water and then saw a gator sink to the bottom before the two came back alongside them. He swallowed and kept going focusing on the goal ahead. When they got to the other side of the bank, inside of Tsurekian they slowly got up and slowly but swiftly moved towards the gate hiding in the shadows as they went.

They moved carefully from shadow to shadow, doing their best to avoid any bright areas. The rain had started to clear a bit, but it was still giving them plenty of cover as they moved.

They hid behind a large metal shipping crate near the gate. There were two guards and two Tsurekin. Both guards were male, in their mid to late teens. Their Tsurekin were a ram and a large rat.

"We need to take out those guards before we can open the gate," Ty said. He started to move forward, but Shigure grabbed his arm and stopped him.

"It's no good. They'll see us before we can even get close enough to attack."

"Then what should we do?" Ty asked.

"This is a difficult situation," she admitted. "If only we could lure them over without breaking our cover..."

"I have an idea," Elise said. She started whispering into Shigure's ear.

Shigure nodded a few times as she listened, then said, "That just might work."

"What's your plan?" Ty asked.

Elise winked at him. "You'll see."

Shigure turned to Kaeru and said, "Get on top of the crate with Mira and wait for our signal." Kaeru nodded before jumping onto the top of the shipping crate. He used his tongue to pull Mira up with him.

"You ready?" Elise asked. Shigure pulled out a knife and nodded. Elise nodded back before stripping down to her underwear.

"Whoa, Elise!" Ty had to struggle to keep his voice down. "What are you doing?"

"It's all part of the plan," she said with a smile.

Elise walked around the corner and whistled at the guards. The two guys tensed, and one of them shouted, "Whose there!?"

"Over here, boys!" Elise called, waving at them. They both blushed when they saw her. She smiled and said, "My, it must be boring standing out in the rain all night. Why don't you two come over here, and we'll have some fun?" She slipped one of her bra straps off her shoulder to entice them even more. When they began to approach with their Tsurekin in tow, she slipped back behind the crate. "They're coming," she said as she picked up a wooden plank from the ground.

As soon as the first guy peeked around the corner, she swung as hard as she could. The wooden plank broke when it made contact with his face, effectively knocking out. Elise shouted, "Now!" Kaeru and Mira both jumped off the shipping crate and landed on the enemy Tsurekin, pinning them both to the ground.

In all the confusion, Shigure ran up to the second guy and put him in an arm lock with one hand, She used the other hand to press her knife up to his throat and said, "You're going to open the gate for us, understand?"

Ty smiled, these two girls were sure smart. He followed them over to the gate where the guy opened it. He waved his arms like they talked about and he saw the others walk out from the woods quickly.

Skylar watched til she saw the gate open. "They got it." She said softly. Kai nodded without a word as they all moved quickly to the entrance just as Shigure knocked the guy she was holding out.

"He opened it for us." She said looking down the hall. "We better hurry."
