War of the Tsurekin

They savoured the moment as long as they could, enjoying the feel of each other's lips. Skylar put her hands on his shoulders and pulled herself closer to his body, while Kai put an arm around her waist. Sky let out a sigh when they finally parted, her face flush red.

Kai started to say something, but he was cut off by a tremendous roar from above. Something giant landed in the street beside the carnival. When the dust settled they could see what it was. It was a giant, silver, metal wyvern that stood as tall as the ferris wheel itself. It stood on two legs and had wings instead of arms. Its red eyes looked lifeless.

The giant creature turned toward the carnival before letting out another tremendous roar. It seemed the Tsurekin Agent had finally shown itself.

"Kai!" Skylar gasped looking at it as people screamed. She took a deep breath and then looked at him. "We need to get down. We gotta try and get rid of this thing." Suddenly Ryukin appeared in front of them.

"Lets go." He said. They quickly climbed on his back and they got him to the ground where Tala, Shigure, Ty, and their Tsurekin were on the ground.

"Whats the plan?" Ty said looking at Kai when the agent roared again.

"Make it snappy." Skylar said looking at them. "Do I need to run back and get help?"

"No, I need you here to help fight," Kai said. "Ty, Shigure, you two make sure everyone gets out of the area safely while Sky and I hold this thing back. While you're doing that, call Ivy and tell her what's happening."

Ty nodded. "Got it." He, Shigure, and their Tsurekin ran off to help lead everyone out of the carnival.

"Look out!" Tala shouted. The Wyvren's tail was heading toward them. It slammed into the ground beside them, knocking them all off their feet and sending debris flying in every direction.

They quickly got back to their feet. "How are we supposed to beat something that big?" Skylar asked. The Tsurekin Agent crushed a hot dog stand with its foot as it began to approach once again.

"We take it down little by little," Kai answered. "Ryukin, hit it in the face with one of your fireballs. Skylar, when it starts to lose its balance I want Tala to hit it and knock it over."

Skylar nodded and croched a little to get better balance. Tala did the same as Skylar looked for it's weakest spot.

"NOW!" Kai yelled. Ryukin moved back a little breathing in and then shooting fire towards it's face. Tala waited for a second before it moved back.

"There, right above the foot." Skylar said. Tala took off at full speed and turned right as she got to the creature hitting it with full force. The agent stumbled back more as the was knocked off balance.

The ground shook when the giant creature fell on its back. It started to move again, but Kai pointed at it and said, "It's getting back up. Ryukin, hit it again!"

Ryukin's eyes went red as he shot three more balls of fire, one at its head and one at each leg. The Agent let out a loud cry of pain.

"Good job, everyone," Kai said.

He spoke too soon, however. The Tsurekin Agent kicked its legs up and rolled back onto its feet, as if it wasn't hurt at all. It flapped both its wings forward, and the winds created sent everyone flying.

Skylar growled and got her feet on the ground running as fast as her feet would let her, moving a little way towards the agent.

"Tala run." She yelled. Tala bent against the wind next to her. "Soon as it stops flapping it's wings hit it again, hard as you can, I think that's a weak spot." The agent landed again and as soon as the wind stopped they were moving forward. Tala moved towards it's leg while Skylar moved the other getting it's attention. Tala made contact and it stumbled a little. It turned to hit Tala and she darted out of the way and back next to Skylar. They both took off next to Kai.

"It doesn't move quickly, we can use that for us. It's main attack has to be size and wind, long as we can keep it from blowing us away and we don't stay still we might be able to defeat it." She said as she watched it get it's balance again.

The wyvren roared again. It swung its wing forward, hitting the side of the ferris wheel. The ride was knocked off its supports and started to fall toward them. There was no time to run out of the way.

"Get down!" Kai shouted before pushing Skylar to the ground. He and Ryukin turned to the falling ride and caught it. Both their legs sank through the asphalt a few feet as they struggled to keep the ferris wheel from falling on Skylar and Tala. Both their bodies shook with the effort. Kai's skin started turning red as veins started popping out on his arm an neck.


(Good night.)

Skylar got up and moved towards Kai. "I'll get out, move so none of it will hurt you." She said before running out from under it Tala at her heels. She watched as Kai shifted his weight so that when it dropped he'd go through a hole in it, Ryukin did the same thing. They let go moving quickly and Skylar bit her lip until it was on the ground and they jumped out and moved.

"Alright, we got to get the advantage." Ryukin said.

"I agree." Skylar replied as it roared again.

The Tsurekin Agent's lifeless red eyes began to glow bright. A fiery orange light began to glow from behind the metal plates that made up the structure of its torso. The light began to move up through its neck and into the mouth.

Kai gasped, he knew all too well what it was going to do. "Ryukin, quick, shoot it in the face!"

Ryukin didn't hesitate. He shot another of his fireballs up into the creature's face. The impact of the attack forced the Agent to look up just before releasing its own attack. A blazing ball of flames three times as large as anything Ryukin could muster shot out of its mouth and into the sky. They were lucky it didn't hit anything. If it had, who knows what kind of destruction it would have caused.

Skylar gasped as she watched it. "WE can't let it do that again." She said looking at Kai.


**Nothing**

Kai nodded. "We've got to figure out a way to knock it down and keep it down." He noticed the many wires laying around the carnival that powered the rides. Maybe they could use them...

"Skylar, I need you and Tala to distract it while Ryukin and I take one of the wires and wrap it around its feet."

"Alright." Skylar nodded as she looked at Tala. "You go left, I"ll go right." She said picking up a thick metal pipe. She took off at a full run as did Tala. As if on sync they both charged the creature moving out of the way when it swung at them. Skylar jammed the pipe up in one of the joints and hten ran. It roared and she turned faster as she ran and crossed paths with Tala.

"Watch out for Kai." Tala said as they moved. She nodded and then ran up the side of a building and jumped on it's side taking another pole and slamming it on it's neck. It's arm went up to swat her away, but she was already gone. She ran past Tala who was moving faster.

"It's losing energy, big plus for me and Ryukin." Tala said as they passed again. She smiled. Tala was just teasing it like she was so not to knock it down and endanger Kai and Ryukin.

"Skylar! On the count of three hit it's left side!" She heard Kai yell. She ran back next to Tala and saw Ryukin and Kai close two. "One. Two. Three." They all three ran and the creature turned to stop them and it stumbled backwards. Tala and Ryukin beat Kai and Skylar to the punch ramming into the creature and sending it to the ground with a loud thud.

There was no time to celebrate, because orange light began to glow from the creature's body again. It bent its long neck so it could look at them, then it opened its mouth.

Ryukin jumped in front of everyone. "Stay back!" he shouted as his eyes began to glow red. Ryukin shot his fireball the exact same time the Tsurekin Agent did. The two balls of fire hit, Ryukin's was strong enough to weaken the other's force but not enough to stop it completely. The ball of fire hit the ground in front of the dragon, knocking everyone off their feet and throwing Ryukin through a food stand and into the side of the haunted house.

"Ryukin!" Kai shouted as he ran to his friend's side.

Skylar heard something snap. She looked back at the Agent to see the wires holding its feet together were breaking.

"Tala, we need more wires." Skylar said.

"There!" Tala ran towards a stand with some and she followed. They quickly pulled them back and wrapped them as fast around the agents feet as they could moving wtih full speed.

"Kai, how do we get rid of this thing?" She asked as she bit her lower lip looking around. "WAIT!" She took one of the cables that was attached to the creatures feet and ran to a power generator and stuck it to it jumping back as it jumped with electricity, the electicity flew down the cable towards teh agent.

The Agent roared in pain, but it was short lived as it ripped through the rest of the wires and returned to its feet. "This isn't good," Skylar said. She and Tala went back to where Kai was. "Kai, what should we do?"

Kai was kneeling beside Ryukin, who lay injured beside the haunted house. "It's too strong for us. We need to get more power somehow."

The giant Wyvren began to stalk toward them. Sky bit her lip. "We could really use a plan right now, Kai," she said.

Ryukin groaned in pain as he tried to get back to his feet. "Ryukin, how badly are you hurt?" Kai asked, worried.

"Pretty bad..."

Kai put his hand on Ryukin's head out of reflex, as if to comfort him. As soon as his fingers brushed against the metal, there was a spark. Information started flooding into Kai's mind. At that moment, he knew. He finally knew how to do it.

"Kai, it's getting closer," Skylar said, worried.

"Sky, Tala, stand back." They did what they were told. Kai kept his hand on Ryukin's head as he fished through his new found knowledge. Both Kai and Ryukin's bodies began to glow with a bright red light.

Ryukin's body suddenly separated into hundreds of small pieces. Those pieces began to swirl around Kai as a whirlwind. The pieces that had once made up Ryukin's arms attached themselves to Kai's arms, creating protective metal plates on his hands and all the way up his arms. Then the pieces of Ryukin's legs attached themselves to Kai's legs. Next was the torso, covering Kai's entire mid section. Ryukin's wings and tail reattached into place next. Finally, Ryukin's head re-shaped itself into a helmet that offered complete protection for Kai's head.

There were still many pieces of metal flying around after Kai's body was completely armoured. The remainder of Ryukin's body began to reconnect in Kai's hand in the shape of a large hilt, then began to move upward in the form of a blade. The finished result was a sword almost as long as Kai's height, with a blade five inches wide at the hilt and eight at the end. It was shaped in the likeness of a flame, with many serrated edges.

As he stood there he could no longer call himself Kai, as that was the person that made up one half of his being. Everything that once made up the two beings Kai and Ryukin were now merged into one, their memories, their thoughts, their senses, and even their consciousness.

He turned to face the Tsurekin Agent. Without looking at Skylar, he said, "I'll take care of things from here." His voice sounded like two voices speaking in sync, Kai and Ryukin's.
