Cypher

I heard the principals final judgement. It was bad. Very bad.
"I expect you in the gym everyday at sunset. You are to clean from top to bottom and i have scheduled you in with the new councillor. Try not to send this one screaming into the hills."
"Hey she asked us how we would kill her." Replied Mac.
"I don't want to hear it. Now Mac wake your brother up." I groaned and opened my eyes faking grogginess.
"Now i heard someone talking about a spear. I suggest yo hand it over NOW."
"Spear," i groaned again, playing on my injury. "There was no spear. There was a big stick and a rock but i don't remember a spear." I crossed my fingers and hoped she would accept my explaination. If she found about the dread spear, we were most definately expelled.
"Alright that will be all gentlemen. I suggest you get yourself checked out Cypher." Mac helped and we staggered out of the room. As soon as we were out of sight i stood up and walked toward the cafeteria with Mac.
"You are SO lucky you got away with that," said Mac, breaking the strained silence.
"Yeah," i replied. " So anyway what are we doing for lunch?"
"Is that it. After all that all you can say is whats for lunch? Your such a doosh."
"So anyway what IS for lunch?"
I have looked into the eye of the storm and stared it down. I am an adrenaline junky and i know no fear.

jasper:

when summer told us her plan, I was thrilled.

But after a few minutes I remembered, that all I was was a hybrid with no special powers.

I started panicking on the inside.

I think Jasmin could see it.

She absolutely saw, that saving the forest was a priority, but not the most important.

I think she saw that I was trying to impress a girl, but had no idea how.

Jasmin smiled reassuringly and whispered, "We can always be on the look out."

I slightly shook my head.

That wasn't very impressive...

I still was really panicked.

Not something I normally am.

I'm normally the chilled one, the one that calms my sister down.

This was so weird.

And I couldn't explain why.
Life isn't fair,
its just fairer than death,
that's all...

Okey dokey, a couple things:

First: Kobain72, thank you SO MUCH for censoring that word! That's such a good idea :D Thanks so much for not using the real word ^^

Second: I added a little note on the main description of the storybook, but I totally understand if you guys haven't seen it. All hybrids can morph into the animal that they have the features of. So, arya, if you choose, Jasper can turn into a hawk, just as Tyro can turn into a wolf :) Thought I should mention that ;)

Tyro-

I laughed with the group as they shared their ideas of ways to scare the football team. Seeing all those "tough guys" running and screaming like little girls would be the highlight of the year. I could see it now.

"Haha, someone should take pictures and submit them to the yearbook committee," I pointed out. Lanoray laughed and whacked me gently on the arm. I hugged her playfully.

"Heh, there are a number of things I could turn into to scare the living daylights out of them," Lanoray offered with a wink.

I laughed, and meant to add something when the bell rang. "We can talk more about it later," Summer said, and with that, we split up with quick good-byes.

I hugged Lanoray one more time and headed off to class. I passed by the cafeteria again on the way there, and as I did, I came upon that girl with the dog again. The dog looked like she was having a little trouble with something in her mouth. Peanut butter. Being half canine myself, I'd recognize that struggle in an instant. And I did.

I walked up behind the girl and the dog. "Not a very good idea to give a dog peanut butter," I said. She turned around and I winked at her. She smiled and I saw her face redden.

"Like you would know," she said quickly, trying to hide her embarrassment.

I morphed into Hunter. "Well, yeah," I said with a smile. She laughed nervously and I changed back. "Tyro," I said, offering her my hand. She stared at it, eyes wide. It took a couple seconds, but I finally realized she thought I wanted to hold her hand. I laughed. "It's just a handshake," I explained.

"Oh!" She exclaimed and shook my hand quickly. "I'm Dakota. Dakota Hunter." I looked at her, a little surprised.

"You don't say!" I cried. I morphed into my wolf form again. "My friend calls me Hunter when I'm like this," I told her.

"Your girlfriend?" She asked. I thought I heard a hint of sadness in her voice.

"Girlfriend? No, I don't have one," I said.

"Then who's that blonde girl you're always hugging and have your arm around all the time?"

"Lanoray?!" She thought Lanoray and I were dating?!? "No no no no no! Lanoray's my friend! I swear. I was her freshman mentor last year. She's a baby sister to me. I'm a teacher and a big brother to her."

"Ah..." she said, embarrassed by her mistake.

I smiled and changed back into myself. "No worries. Who's this?" I asked, gesturing to her German Shepherd.

"Sable," she told me.

"Sable. How do you do?" I asked, offering her my hand as well.

Fine, thank you, she answered, placing her large paw in my hand. I shook it with a smile and looked back up at Dakota.

She smiled at me.

(I'll bring Taziel in cause Veil seemed to disappear to)
Veil~

I was walking out of my class when I saw some guy who seemed familiar. "Hi. Have we meet before?" I asked randomly.

"I don't think so. My name is Taziel." he replied as he extended his hand.

"Oh well sorry about that I'm Veil!" I squeaked happily as I shook his hand.

"Nice to meet you, so why did you think you knew me?" he asked with a chuckle.

"I'm not sure you just looked familiar." I replied honestly as I shrugged my shoulders.

"Well I never got that before." he smiled, I smiled back he seemed like a nice guy.

(sorry Billy it's not very good)

Mel~

"Hey I decided I'll go with you to that tree protest." I told Bekah trying to change the subject.

"Really! Oh thank you Mel." she squealed as she hugged me.

"Don't mention it. Besides I don't want to try to move out of our apartment yet, cause it's been so long since I've cleaned out from under my bed. There could be a monster out there or something." I admitted with a chuckle.

Bekah

I checked over Mel a little myself and then promptly sent her off to the nurse. I was about to head along with her when I picked up a faint rumbling sound in the distance.

What? No. I turned and started sprinting towards the far side of campus. Buldozers.

I transformed as I ran, not really explaining anything to anyone as I went. I just hoped maybe someone would hear the buldozers too and come.

This is ridiculous. I thought. They weren't scheduled to start until next week. They must have heard about the protest.

My paws pounded the ground as I ran, dodging between the legs of students in my way.

"Hey, watch it!"

"What was that?"

"Just that hippy fox girl."

"Where's she going?"

"She must have found up they moved demolition day to today."

I only caught this much of the conversation and it didn't even register much. Soon though, there were footsteps behind me. I didn't look back though, I just hoped they were helpful people and not anyone who would want to stop me. I wasn't planning on being stopped.

As I came closer I noticed the buldozers coming onto the edge of campus. Not too close yet, but moving quickly. I transformed back and stood on the edge of the forest.

This isn't going to work. I thought. You didn't have time to recruit or even come up with a plan! Now all you can do is hope the demolition team will at least try not to squash a sixteen year old fox hybrid.

The buldozers were getting closer, and definatly loud and noticable. I hoped that someone else in favor of trees would hear them and come.

Drake~

Drake shot his head up quickly, eyes wide. Vibrations were ripped through the ground, not like an earthquake, but more like a... a... bulldozer! Without thinking he ran towards the coach's office, breathing angrily. "The trees aren't supposed to be torn down till next week!" He shouted, voice shaking in anger.

"We needed them to hurry up so we moved the demolition date." Drake let a growl out of his throat, causing the coach to finally shoot him a glance.

"Move the deadline back." He growled.

"What?" The coach was astonished. Draken, the same Draken who had wanted the stadium for the passed six years wanted him to move the deadline so the trees stood longer?

"Move the deadline back. You gave some of the kids here hope that they could stop this. I'm not telling you not to tear the trees down, just to give some kids more time." The coach situated his glasses on his nose with a sigh and quickly scratched a note. With a grin Drake took it and shot towards the forest.

Dakota~

Dakota couldn't help but smile softly. Dakota Hunter, the same Dakota Hunter who knocked a teacher out cold last year, was smiling. A few kids were turned around to watch this little exchange, quite fearfully in fact. He's nice. Sable smiled back at her, paw still in Tyro's hand. Dakota let a laugh escape her lips before instantly covering her mouth, scarlet dancing its way across her cheeks. Some of the people were now staring incredulously. No. She couldn't let her image melt away with such a small exchange. She stood up quickly white and black hair falling across her non-seeing eye. "I've got to go. Great meeting you." She let a pained smile cross her features before she tossed her food in the trash, Sable at her side with peanut butter no longer in her mouth. She was sending Dakota heated glares as she walked off.

"Did she really just walk away?" One voice asked. "He's still sitting there!"

"It's no surprise. She's the Crazed Dog." Another said.

"Poor kid."

"Wow, that was wicked!"

"That wasn't a smile! It was a snarl!"

"Nothing gets in a mad dog's way." Was the last thing that entered her brain. They were right. Absolutely right and everyone knew it. Nothing got in a mad dog's way. Nothing got in Dakota Hunter's way.

Hey... those bulldozers are going. Sable suddenly said, causing Dakota to almost choke. They couldn't be tearing the forest down! There were still living things there! Dakota dropped Sable's leash and shifted into a completely black German Shepherd, her paws flying across the tile, soon touching grass.

Allysa

Just as the bulldozers were about to claim its first victim, a black dog dashed straight to its path.

"No!" Jasper morphed and swooped down towards the dog. But Allysa was faster. She summoned a chain of water from a pool nearby and lifted the dog to safety. The German shepherd was wet and fazed but was unharmed.

"Summer! Go!"

The team acted like they had planned. Jasmin transformed into a lovely creature with gigantic black wings that carried her to the sky. Summer was already a dragon soaring up the sky. She bellowed out green flames that licked along the boundaries of the forest, protecting them but not one spark harmed the forest. Lanorah had shape-shifter again into a basilisk and was busy bumping the bulldozers of from her tail.

A wolf was racing across the lawn and into the forest. A huge maroon-hued dragoon emerged from the green fire unscathed. Dragons seem to have a protective hide to shield themselves from the fire. He burst out roaring with enormous rage, as if someone had lit up a burning fire inside. The bulldozers were backing off but some of the workers who were magical creatures transformed and started aiming for the students. A fox and the german shepherd leaped to attack. Schera was apprehensive. Allysa looked at her grimly and nodded.

"This is for our forest."

Schera's shawl was engulfed in flame, revealing her cat's ears, and started leaping from tree to tree, mixing with occasional fire strings that came out from her hands. Allysa was fighting back the flames of the enemy's dragon. It was an extremely scaly dragon emitting the blackest fire ever.

They were all working together, despite the fact they had only met today. But the situation was grim..

*Can u add in the fight on ur part..everyone? I hope it fits, and tat I didn't ruin anyone's fight.*

I didn't have any plans for it, so I'll just go along XD
---
Tyro-

I watched after Dakota curiously. She was...different. There was absolutely no doubt in my mind about that. A few things went through my mind, but the one that came out on top was that she wasn't worth any time or effort, and to just leave her be.

I shook my head and turned to go to class when a different - and very clearly, more important - sound snaked its way through my ears. My head shot up and I looked towards the forest.

"No way...!!!" I whispered and, in one swift motion, morphed into Hunter and sprinted at top speed towards the forest. I couldn't help but notice that Dakota was also making her way towards the forest.

I completely blocked her out of my mind and focused on the task at hand. When I got there, I found that all of my other new friends were already there. I saw Lanoray first, but that was no surprise. She was a basilisk again. I saw Summer flying high above them, and waves of water from Alyssa. I hurried over and took down a couple workers who were driving the bulldozers. They were easy matches, especially since I got a couple of shape shifters and they turned into wolves, like me. I knew exactly how to take them down.

When I got the opportunity, I got behind Summer's wall of fire and onto the side I was supposed to be on.

*thanks..guys but for information, Schera is not a shapeshifter. she cannot change into a cat but she uses fire puppetry wherein fire are like strings and she controls them. But don't need to change waht to post. Just for future references.

Schera

I never planned that my first day ended up in a fight. I stood by a large branch as i watch my friends fighting the enemy dragon while the others where stopping the bulldozers. I watch my clothe burned to teh ground already revealing my cat ears and tails.

I saw my friend, Alyssa, fighting the dragon. I wanted to help. I opened my palm and from my fingers, a number of strings came out of it and i directed them around the dragon's mouth. In truth, i never know why i got such powers but my parents told me i was created from two souls. That may explain it.

I leaped down the ground gentle like a cat and with my strings wrapping the dragons back, i rode its back checking if anyone was hurt.

"Allyssa, are you okay? Is anyone injured?" i saw her and she nodded with appreciation. The dragon roared and i grip the strings tighter and tighter.

"Can anyone help me here..."

I smiled when i heard the rumble of buldozers. Good by trees, hello stadium.
"We have to do something," said Mac worriedly.
"Why? The buldozers will bring down the forest and it's all over."
"Yes but then the buldozers will make the money, not us. We need to stop them."
"What? Help the crazy hippy?"
"Only this once. Think about all the mayhem we could create with the football teams money."
I thought it over for a moment before opening the window, climbing out onto the windowsill and jumping out, quickly followed by Mac I curled into a ball and landed fist first knocking nearby students off their feet. I climbed up out of the crater, moments before Mac crashed down in the same spot.
"Come on" i smiled, running toward the forest, leaping high into the air and changing mid-jump. As I got closer, i could see some of the buldozer drivers had changed and were now attacking the students.
I noticed Ms. Goody two shoes demonette.
Not today, said Kaos inside my head,
Time to test our new powers, thought, feeling the power Kaos had given me rummbling deep inside me.

Allysa

A blast from the dragon sent Allysa flying to a nearby tree. She had almost gone into the green fire but the heat was too hot to handle. Allysa started evaporating and managed to melt into a pool nearby. The portal revealed many places. Allysa had always felt safe when she was back with her element. Almost like a long time ago.. But she had to forget that and resurface to the grounds. Her friends needed her right now.
She got back up and coughed, well away from the magical fire. Her wounds were fully healed because of the water nearby.

"Allyssa, are you okay? Is anyone injured?" i saw her and she nodded with appreciation. The dragon roared and i grip the strings tighter and tighter.

Schera was doing a very good job handling the dragon. Allysa smiled and said, "I'm good."

Allysa rose to her feet and witnessed two horned creatures approaching from afar. Wondering if they were friends or foe, Allysa suddenly snapped back when someone screamed.

Lightly on her wet trails, she summoned all the water that came from the pool nearby where she had risen. She shaped them into a big ball and started using her fury and energy into heating them up.

'Mom told me never to use this, unless I'm in a bad situation. Well, this IS bad. '

It was the super-heated water sphere that did it. The dragon Schera was forced back, screaming in anguished, still held by Schera's strings of fire.

The two demons started to fly above us when..

*Sorry bout the shape-shifter thing, Schera. I altered that part anyway, to suit your post, or else the flow of story wouldn't be good. Really awesome power though..fire puppetry..very nice. The suspense is building*

Summer

The raging emerald plumes of fire that burst from my mouth caused the drivers of the bulldozers to fall short for a moment. I roared angrily when they continued on their march towards the poor trees that stood bravely against the onslaught, waiting for their own death as the bulldozers thundered towards them.
I snatched the nearest one up in my claws like it was an overgrown toy, raising it eye level and looking straight at the terrified driver inside.
"What, can I ask you, do you not understand about the phrase, 'leave now?'" I growled fiercely, as the man inside let out a terrified shriek. I tipped the bulldozer over in my hands and with a little shake, the man tumbled from the machine and hit the ground running.
I crumpled the machine between my two claws easily, chuckling as the deformed metal dropped at my feet. Then suddenly, I heard it.
A deafening crack as a tree crumpled to the ground.
My upper lip curled in a fierce snarl, as I opened my mouth to unleash a deafening command upon the trees. Fight back.
And then, the whole forest came to life.
Trees smacked their aging branches through windscreens and twigs turned into fingers as they grabbed anyone they could reach and shook them madly by the legs.
I chuckled in satisfaction, watching them flee the forest in fear.
Suddenly, a huge storm of raging fire engulfed me. I tumbled backwards yelling as the leaves that grew from my scaly body singed and burned to dust. My thick hide prevented any other damage, thankfully.
I opened my emerald eyes to stare coldly at my attacker.
"Don't ever shoot flames at me again," spat the huge red dragon, flapping his wings angrily. I could have easily taken the other dragon down that second, but I let him leave me lying there. I got up, trying to dispell the thoughts of anger from my head as my friends appeared by my side.
"We did it," grinned Jasper below me, as the enemy fled the forest. The trees seemed to raise their branches high in victory, swaying in the breeze.

I was happy the fighting was over.

Fighting wasn't one of my strengths.

But although the first part of the battle of the forest was over, and we won, I knew it definitely wasn't the end of it.

I also was worried.

This one giant red dragon spat fire right in Summers face.

i hoped she was OK.

I knew that dragons were supposed to be not very vulnerable by fire, but nevertheless I was worried.

Oh great I thought as I got to the chaos of the battle.

"always, I swear" I said thinking that I never got to be in any fights. A green dragon was flapping her wings powerfully. one girl was controling water. and two demons were near I could sence them. I let my wings come lose and flew up to the green dragon.

"Hey I'm Joe are you a friendly dragon or should cower" I said flaping my wings to keep in the air she went down to the groubd and began to morth back.

"I'm friendly but you can still cower" She said.

"I gave you my name don't I get one back I already know who Jaspers name" I said and she nodded.

"its Summer" She said.

"yeah it is Summer then theirs winter, spring" I said.

"that's a bad joke" Summer said.

"I know but I couldn't help my self the opportunity to tell was their an I seized moment" I said and Summer and Jasper smiled an awkward silence started so I broke it.

"so your a dragon" I said nodding.

"what do you think" She said and I nodded realising what a stupid question it was.

"sorry I.. well anything to break the silence" I said Jasper was still being quiet.

"and what are you?" she asked genuely.

"oh right, I actually get that a lot its like people think I'm just some weird Bird hybrid but no, I'm an Angel" I said It always felt weird saying that.

"have you met everybody else here" Jasper said and I quickly scanned the area.

"na sadly I don't, so now I'll just have follow you two around until I know them." I said.

"thats a bit scary" Jasper said sarcasticly. I nodded and they wakled towards one of their friends. I went forward and patted them on the shoulder.

"hey I'm Joe" I said as they turned around.

*sorry just wanted to get my sekf involved*
