I stared at my plate.

"Uhm. If peter sleeps in the barn... Imeen someone else could share his bed with me... Uhm..." I blushed.

WHY... OH WHY...

Ana and Melody giggled. Nightfall grinned. Only Daybreak seamed to pity me...

I continued staring at my plate.

Peter sayd nothing.

I tryed to shrugg it off. Failing once again. My face was still red.

"This is really good." I said timidly.

"Thanks." Peter answered not looking again.

"Tell us something Daybreak. About you guys." Ana encuridged.

"Well..." she started, her voice trailed off. "Am I imagening, or are there horses approaching?"

"I can also hear it." Nightfall agreed.

We all jumped.

***I think Marten was riding towards the farm if I got that right. Or?***

Nightfall-

My ears twitched gently as I listened. Sure enough, the sound of horse hooves prodding through the dirt was growing steadily louder. I hurried to the front door and in the same motion, I opened it and morphed into a tiger. I sprinted out the door and towards the sound.

"Wait! Nightfall no!" Daybreak's cries came from behind me. I slowed down and looked at her. She was standing in the door, with the others behind her. "Just let them come to us!" She called urgently.

I took a few steps toward her. "Do you really think I can't handle myself?" I asked her. She shook her head quickly. "Exactly," I replied, and ran off to the side of the road and once again towards the horses.

I crouched low to the ground, the blackness of my coat blending with the black of night, making me nearly invisible. Just then, I saw them. A group of people riding towards the farm, all of them on swift horses. I lifted one side of my upper lip and growled. The one in front looked like royalty, or something like it. Once they had passed, I came out of hiding and followed them, ready to attack if anything went ary.

Daybreak-

I watched after Nightfall nervously. My tail swayed gently as I stood there thinking. I turned to the crowd behind me.

"Leave it to Nightfall," I told them. "But just in case..." I morphed into a wolf and laid down by the door, trying to look as casual as possible. I thought I did a pretty good job. "Go back inside, and act like you didn't hear anything," I instructed.

Peter nodded and closed the door. I rested my head on my paws and pretended to sleep. It seemed like only a couple seconds. The horses were out front in a flash. I lifted my head and watched them. People. It was difficult to restrain myself and not go introduce myself and make new friends, but I managed. The man in front got down off his horse and walked swiftly towards the door. He glanced at me. I snarled at him in warning. He slowed down considerably, but continued walking. He watched me as he got closer to the door. I continued to growl softly, and also kept my eyes glued to him. Whispers from the other men redirected my attention.

"Did you know they had a guard dog?" One of them whispered.

My head swiveled around and I growled at them. Dog?! How dare they call me a dog! They jumped back and kept their distance. Out of the corner of my only working eye, I saw a flash of black and yellow behind the horses. Nightfall was crouched down, watching everything from the back. I knew we could count on her.

The man at the door knocked on it and it opened. I looked up at them.

I was so thirsty. I hadn't fed in days. Horses and riders galloped passed heading towards a farm. The people inside seemed badly outnumbered. That hardly seems fair, i thought.
"Oi there you men" i called to the riders at the back. "What do you think your playing at?"
Two of them rushed at me. Fools, i thought. I drew my sword and rolled beneath a vicious overhand blow from one. I stood up, bringing my blade up behind me and cutting a stright line from groin to throat. He dropped soundlessly.
"What are you?" murmured the other turning to run. Oh no you don't, i thought.
"Come back here an face me like a man."
"Your not a man. Your a ..." was all the man got out before i landed on his chest and dug my fangs into his throat, feasting on his life blood. With every mouthful of blood i could feel my power returning. I felt stronger, faster, my unnatural abilities returning. I left the mans corpse and crept forward after the other riders who were now inside the buildings examining a large wolf in the door way. I looked around and saw a tiger crouching in the brush.
I have looked into the eye of the storm and stared it down. I am an adrenaline junky and i know no fear.

Amnash

Amnash looked at Johnny for a few moment, contemplating whether to kill him or not, before leaving him alive to follow Samuel. He would have casually killed a few peasants as he went, but the street was empty - anyone who had been there and survived was probably out of town by now.

"Are you intending to fight the prince?" Amnash asked.

"I'd rather take him down without a fight," Samuel replied, "but if necessary, yes."

"Those of royal blood are often powerful combatants." Amnash said, the Champion within him influencing his words. "I must insist that you allow me to fight him to improve my skills."

Samuel curled his lips in thought.

"Very well." He said. "But allow me to speak with him before you kill him."

"Everyone go back to Ana's room." I instructed. "And stay there quietly until I come get you."

The three remaining girls ran to the back. I walked to the front door as casually as I could. I opened it and a large soldier stood there.

"May I help you, sir?" I yawned, trying to act as if I had just been woken up.

Marten

Gesin growled down at the boy as he opened the door, cracking his neck a little, "Yeah. You can help us. Where are your friends? The ones who assaulted the prince?"

The wolf beside the door started to rise, growling a little, but the burly soldier took no notice of it. The boy in the doorway yawned again, rubbing his eyes a little before squinting up at Gesin, "I don't know what you're talking about. Now could you please go? I'm trying to get some sleep, farming's hard work."

Marten stepped up onto the porch and motioned for Gesin to step down, "Alright then, you can get some sleep when I get some answers. Did you think I wouldn't recognise you from the inn?"

The boy looked shocked at the sight of Marten before him. Well, that plan had just been snatched away. He couldn't well claim not to know where the people Marten was looking for were when he himself was one of them. The prince gave him a stern look, "What happened at the inn was entirely unnecessary, I had no intention of hurting anyone, and still don't. You people don't understand what's going on, and that's understandable."

The other boy bristled somewhat, "Hey, I'm not just some dumb peasant, you know-"

Marten nodded, "I realise that, but I'm looking for the thief king to try to deal with a family matter. I'm not making any arrests, or ordering executions." He glanced at Gesin and Rello behind him, "Much as that disappoints my guards." He looked back to the boy in the door, "Where is the one of you who took my rapier, though? I don't miss the money that was taken, but that sword is not something I can let go easily, for the same reasons I need to find the thief king. Now, could I please come in and try to discuss things reasonably with you all? Once I've explained my problem, I'm sure you'll see why I'm asking what I am."

Rello coughed behind him, and when Marten turned, the royal guard was looking off into the darkness at their backs, "Prince Marten. Those two guards from the city who joined us don't seem to be with us any longer."

Gesin drew his broad sword slowly, trying to make out shapes in the darkness. Rello did the same a moment later, a longsword appearing in his hands. "We'll keep an eye on the door, if you don't mind, sir." He cast a look over at the farm's owner, "And if you'll keep your own guard off us." He nodded at the wolf.

I was so frightened.

At first there were only the guards, which was enough to freak me out, but then there was this crazy vampire guy, who just sucked out one of the guards, leaving the lifeless body lying on the ground, pale, the skin transparent even.

Peter sent us into the house.

I didn't want to go.

I wanted to do something. Help Peter.

So I hid in the closet. Listening to every word they said.

Suddenly someone opened the door.

I couldn't see who, so I just grabbed something preparing to hit the person with it.

Luckily, it was Ana.

"Soph. You should get out of there now. Peters going to be OK."

I looked over toward the door to the farm. A few moments later the men seemed to notice that their comrades were missing. I grinned inwardly, fools, i thought, now i have fed they don't stand a chance. No one can defeat a Iron Knight of the Sanguine.
"You men, what buisness have you here?" I called from the darkness.
"We are here to regain some property." Replied one staring into the darkness.
"Then i have no quarrel with you" i said simply stepping forward into the light. One of the guards inhaled sharply and steeped back, tripping over his own feet. I looked down at my blood spattered armour. Oh dear, i thought, wiping the blood off of my armour with a crimson rag.
"Excuse my appearance. I was jumped by two ruffians in city guard uniform."
"They WERE city guards."
"Surely not. They were barely trained. Have standards really slipped so far."
"WHo are you Sir and what buisness do you have here?"
"I am Mikael Eisenstein, Iron Knight of the Sanguine, and i am here to give this fellow a fighting chance should this encounter come to blows."
"The order of the Sanguine no longer exists, and the last of the Iron Knights died long ago."
"Yes," i replied. " A most unfortunate accident. We were ambushed by vampires on our return journey from the battle of Arkwald."
"But that was over one hundred years ago."
"And your point is?" I replied calmly.
"How are you not dead? You said none survived."
"Precisely."
I saw the light dawn in the mans eyes and he turned around, ignoring me completely.

next to an old man who was flat on his face. The bartender a middle aged lady looked at me.

"rough night" She said and I nodded carefully plucking the jug of bear from the old mans hands.

"hey did you see that prince riding out of town" a young kid who was sitting on the other side of me. He had a hot chick who was loosely dressed unconsious over his arm.

"no, anyway that prince is in a pub up in the posh part of town" I said.

"na I saw im riding out of town, guys bloody brilliant knocked this lass out by accident and who was their to catch her unconciouss body, me" He said proud of himself.

"you must be very proud of yourself" I said sarcasticly and the bartender chuckled to herself.

"did you see were he was heading" I said and the kid shook his head.

"but a vampire was following them and I can follow him" said a blonde man with a leather coat on.

"mike gangy, vampire hunter and tracker" Mike said looking very proud of himself.

"great whatever, look I'll give you this pouch of gold if you take me to him" I said and Mike eagerly grabed the money before setting off.

Luke

I couldn't help but snicker to myself as the prince left the bar, walking straight past me without even noticing my being. Dakota stirred from her sleep on my arm, and I saw her blink wearily on my shoulder. I turned to Fenedir, who was relaxing in his chair with a huge grin on his face.
"I have to thank you for that Luke, it is very kind of you."
"Not a problem," I grinned, as Dakota sighed on my shoulder.

*Sorry, no idea where to go from here. Face Engine, would it be ok if you took over from here? I'm not sure what Fenedir's evil plan is so I don't want to ruin anything for you ;)*
