Peter

"Stay out of my sister's room!" I yelled after him, but it was no use he was gone.

I sighed, frustrated, but didn't leave the kitchen. Ana can deal with him herself, if there is trouble I'll hear and she has Melody anyways.

Sophia still sat across the table from me. I just realised that I had revealed I kind of liked someone while that someone was sitting right there. Oh god, I'm an idiot.

"So shall I show you to my- erm your room?" I asked her.

She nodded and stood up. Daybreak whined by my leg.

"I'll be right back." I told her. "But maybe you could go find Nightfall?"

She turned and ran happily out towards the barn.

I led Sophia to my room down the hall from the kitchen. It was small and didn't have much but a bed and a dresser, but it was nice. I liked it at least.

"Well here we are." I told her.

Ana

Melody and I were chatting when someone burst into the room. "Hey there, love." It was Johnny.

"Johnny!" I yelled. "What are you doing here?"

He fell onto my bed and propped himself up on his arm. "Just thought I'd drop in for a visit. Miss me?"

"I don't think Peter would like you up here." I told him.

"Ah nonesense, the good ol' boy let me right up."

I gave him a skeptical look. That didn't sound like Peter.

"So what happened to your other dress?" He touched the worn fabric of my farm dress. "I liked the other much better."

This guy was starting to creep me out, and I could tell Melody felt the same way.

"That was a disguise. I don't usually dress that way." I told him. "Now, why are you in my house?"

Daybreak-

At the mention of Nightfall's name, I immediately perked up and dashed outside to find her. It didn't take long. She was sitting by the front door, watching something. I followed her gaze to Prince Marten walking away and a crouched figure not too far off. I cocked my head and raised an eyebrow as I watched them.

I heard a quiet growl from somewhere inside Nightfall's chest. I glanced at her for a second. Her eyes were narrowed and she was staring intently at them. I looked back and heard faint talking.

I was trying to forget why I was here but it kept being dragged back into the spotlight.

"well, I'm searching for that prince, so I can knock him out and take him back to city" I said sitting up on the bed.

"why, I thought you already stole his sword and his money" Melody said.

"I did, but this is more to save my life, you see I was on a coach and then someone blew it up, then the guy I was sitting next to burst into flames and died, heres the scary part then a skeleton came and stabbed me with like one of those big scary swords" I said and had to shake away the painful memory.

"you didn't get stabbed I mean your here aren't you" Ana said.

"well yeah thats cause some wizard guy named Samuel, he asked were the sword came from and I told him from the prince who was at then he healed me, you know I thought thats because I'd helped him but no its so he can kill me when he dosen't find the prince at the bar" I finished and realised that I really needed a drink.

"I'm so dead" I said. and started mubling to myself but it was loud enough for everyone to here.

"I should of just gone to the all boys school, I should of never started drinking, oh god, I could of been noble man by now, .." I mubled off to myself until a hard slap across the face came from Ana.

"snap out of it" Ana said.

Marten

After meeting Rello outside again, the three of them quickly prepared to return to the city. The longer Marten's sword went without being found, the less likely he was to get it back. The less likely Samuel was to be killed.

But as the three of them led their horses out of the stable, Marten found himself confronted by the crouching sillhouette of a man who did not want himself to be seen. Instinctively, Marten reached for his rapier, but his hand grasped at nothing. Nonetheless, the figure straightened immediately, "Prince Marten." It said, offering a slight bow.

Marten frowned a little to himself, recognising the voice, but from where, he could not remember. The shadow stepped forward a little. A look of shock, and a little annoyance, flitted across the prince's face at the sight of him - the duellist who wouldn't fight fair.

"I have something important to tell you, and also questions to ask."

Rello shot Marten a look, as if requesting permission to skewer the questioner. As if he could have won. Rello was skilled, but not as much so as the man Marten was confronted with. Marten inclined his head slightly to the duellist, "Very well, if you would give me your name first. It is only fair, given that you know mine."

Samuel

All in all, the sorcerer's night could be described only as one of mixed success. On the one hand, he now had in his possession the very weapon designed to kill him. On the other, he had no idea where Marten was, Amnash had flipped to his goody-two-shoes personality, and he couldn't find the cult as easily as he'd thought any more. Well, godhood shouldn't be too easy to achieve, anyway.

He left the bar, Servant waiting for him outside. The man probably wouldn't last out the rest of the week, so Samuel would need to find a replacement. Whatever Amnash's threats against him, Samuel didn't fear the undead warrior. Once he found the cult, he would even be able to gain control of him. Oh, of course they didn't now, but then, none of them had Samuel's raw talent for magic.

Samuel drew the rapier and held it before himself, seeming to watch it for a good, long time. Slowly, pale tendrils of magic spun themselves into existence around the hilt, then formed themselves into a map, which Samuel slipped intona pocket. The map would lead him to the last holder of the sword, that young thief who thought he could lie to Samuel Lafavre and get away with it.

He still couldn't shake the feeling that he knew the other boy he'd asked about Marten, though. Or at least had seen him before. Samuel shook his head to himself, he'd work that mystery out later. For now, he needed a new life support.

"Servant." He said, looking at the creature, "Would you kindly sniff out the magic college for me?"

Servant nodded, bending over the ground, hugging it like a mere shadow as he began to sniff for traces of magic. He lifted his head a few times to taste the air, then began trotting towards where the schools were.

Luke

"My name?" I laughed, ruffling the back of my hair. "It isn't important."
The prince took a step foreward and eyed me suspiciously. His guard gripped the sword sheethed at his side, shuffling forwards also. "And why is that?"
I reached up and tapped Dakota silently on the beak, our code signal for, 'Go keep a look out.' She flew of my shoulder silently, her black sillouete melting into the navy hues of the night.
"I came here to ask questions, not make friends my dear prince," I said, giving him another patronizing little bow. "First, you answer my questions. And if you fail to do this, then your very life could be in danger."
Marten blinked, taken aback. "Your name or I will answer no such questions, regardless of my well being."
I gritted my teeth but tried not to show it. I wasn't sure whether he would recognise my name and piece it together with my title. Not many knew me as Luke, the Thief King. It was usually peasants and other thieves that knew me as such.
"Luke," I replied bluntly, after a short pause of reluctance.
"Ok then Luke, you may ask me your questions."
I folded my arms. "Amnash the Champion. Tell me what you know of him."
His brow furrowed. "Amnash was a hero, a long time ago. But he is corrupted, deluded now. I hear he had a cult of followers."
I nodded in understandment, but this told me no new information about the skeleton warrior. "Do you know of anything else? His cult's whereabouts?"
Marten paused for a short second. "...No, I don't." I sighed internally. This meant having to track. I loathed tracking. It consisted of creeping aimlessly around town, listening to conversations and stealing countless times until he could locate someone's position.
"Then I suppose I should deliever this warning then?" He responded with an urgent nod. "Samuel Lafavre, your relative, came to me today to ask of your whereabouts. I would tread carefully if I were you."
I began to turn away, whistling through my teeth to call Dakota back to me. As she landed gently on my shoulder, Marten shouted after me.
"Wait!" I turned to look at him as he outstretched an arm towards me. "I need you to tell me of his whereabouts. This is important," he said urgently, his voice dropping to just above a whisper.
I raised an eyebrow. "What's in it for me?"

*I'm not gonna be here for a few days, so please make Sophia do cool stuff while I'm not here.*

Sophia

"Its nice."

Peter looked at me doubtfully.

"It is! At Lylas place I don't have allot more." I turned to Peter.

"You got something there." He said and wiped a stay strand of hair out of my face.

Peter let his hand rest on my face for a moment.

I could feel my face getting hot.

Then something moved past the window very fast.

Both of us looked. Peter removing his hand from my cheek.

"What was that?"

Amnash

Amnash walked into a dark alleyway, where he was confident nobody could see him, and cloaked himself in a mist. Only powerful sorcerors would be able to see him now.

"Now where will I find the prince?" He thought out loud.

He shrugged, and walked out into the streets, before leaving the city. He remembered hearing that the Prince had left town, so he would have more chance looking for him in the countryside and the nearby villages than in the city itself.
I refuse to acknowledge the existence of this signature.

Ana

"Snap out of it!" I slapped Johnny across the face.

He looked up at me in surprise. "What was that for?!"

"For being ridiculous." I stated.

"Yes." Melody agreed. "You should really not dwell on things so much."

Johnny laughed. "You didn't put yourself on the fast track to your own death."

I sighed. Ridiculous. "Well you said that if that sorceror guy doesn't find the prince then he will kill you."

"And he wont find the prince. There is no way he just sat around at that inn after he woke up." Johnny added.

"Okay, well we just have to make sure that this sorceror still finds the prince before he finds you."

"And how do you propose we do that?"

"Yeah Ana, how?" Melody asked.

"Well the prince was just here and is probably heading back to the city. And since this sorceror didn't find the prince hes probably looking for you and you are here. So we just have to make sure that the two will meet on the road. Simple." I explained.

Peter

Something darted past the window. "I am really getting tired of this." I said.

Sophia stiffened and moved closer to me. I almost lost my train of thought with her so close, but I forced myself to think straight.

"Stay here, I'll go check it out." I told her.

I made my way outside the house. Nightfall and Daybreak weren't around but I heard voices talking near the barn that sounded like them. I walked to the barn to make sure they were all right, and to get the farm dogs.

Nightfall and Daybreak were in the barn talking to the man who was prepared to assist me if a fight had broken out. He nodded to me when I walked in and I nodded back. I wasn't prepared to run more people off my farm than neccesary, besides he had been kind to me.

I found the three farm dogs in the barn also. I brought them back out of the barn with me. I needed to get whoever was sneaking around off my property.

I made my way out around the front of the house and two people were standing in the shadows speaking to one another. The dogs started barking and growling but didn't go after the men yet, they waited for my command.

I came closer and noticed that one was the prince, and the other I didn't recognize.

"Could you please get off my property?" I asked them both loudly.

Sophia

Peter went outside the house.

I wanted to follow him, but something told me I shouldn't.

So I sat down on the bed an soon fell asleep.

I slept for about 5minuter(or so I think), when something woke me.

I'm not sure what, but something startled me.

As if someone were in the room.

In a dark corner.

I believe I saw a silhouette.

I heard a voice from upstairs. A voice i was sure i recognised from somewhere. A fight. In the city. A few years ago. I knew that voice. I flew toward the sound of the voice faster than the eye could see. I crouched down in the shadows and quenched a sudden thirst with a rat. Then she turned, a woman i recognised but couldn't name. Then it hit me with a warm feeling.
"Sophia" i whispered remembering the little girl in the red dress and the drunk gangsters both before and after there encounter with me in a dark alley.
I have looked into the eye of the storm and stared it down. I am an adrenaline junky and i know no fear.

A loud thud came from Peter's room.

"Haha, good job Peter." Johnny laughed.

I glared at him. "Be quiet, Peter would never act that way. Something must be wrong."

I stood and started towards the door.

"Must we get ourselves into another adventure?" Melody groaned. "I've had enough trouble for today."

Johnny smiled and put his arm around her. "That's fine, we can just stay here and get...better aquainted."

Melody stood up quickly and followed. "No that's okay, adventure is good."

I ran up the stairs to Peter's room, only Peter wasn't there. Just Sophia and some strange man.

Johnny lept in front of us, "Who art thou!" he yelled.

I rolled my eyes and pushed him away. "Who are you?" I asked. "And why are you in my house?"

Sophia

The figure moved out of the shadows.

"Sophia? You still remember me?"

"Course I do. How could I forget a vampire, Especially a good one?" I asked in return smiling.

Mikael smiled back.

"How are things? What are you doing here anyway?" He asked.

I was just about to answer when johhny stomped in. "Who art thou!" He yelled.

Ana pushed him out of the way, rolled her eyes and asked. "Who are you? What are you doing in my house?"

"This is an old friend. Mikael-Ana. Ana-Mikael."

Mikael extended his hand. "Nice to meet you." he said smiling.

"Hes a vampire!" Johhny exclaimed.

"So what? He saved my live!" I yelled at him. "You cant judge people before you get to know them!"

"He saved my life!"
"And don't you forget it." I smiled. It had been so long since i had been able to claim anyone as a friend but Sophia was one of the few exceptions.
"Who art tho?"
"I am Mikael, Knight of the Order Sanguine at your service. Mr ?"
"Call me Johnny."

A vampire. Interesting. I smiled at him and extended my hand. "Pleased to meet you, Mikael."

Mikael smiled and shook my hand. He turned to Melody who stared at him warrily, but eventually shook his hand and introduced herself.

"So you've had a busy night with all these people around." Mikael commented. "Things like this usually happen around here?"

I laughed. "Not at all, but I'm enjoying it."

Mikael smiled. "Thrill-seeker, huh?"

"Very much so." I nodded.

Johnny whispered in my ear. "I don't like this guy, I wouldn't trust him."

"I wouldn't trust you either." I muttered. I turned to Sophia. "So how did you two meet?" I asked her, and then to Mikael I asked, "And what brings you to the farm?"
