Haha okay changing mine back as well as I can. Just a tad off today I guess...okay here goes.

Ana

I was a tad upset as I watched Johnny run out. He had been an interesting character, even if he had threatened me.

"So, Sophia this is Melody, Melody this is Sophia." I made soem quick introductions. "Now the guards will be coming any second, let's get out of here."

We started down the hall when a thought came to me. "Sophia, do you live in the city?" I asked.

"No."

I raised an eyebrow, hoping for more information, but none came.

"Do you have any place to stay tonight?" I asked.

She smiled sheepishly. "No. I am here with a friend and we didn't think to make those arrangements. She will probably be heading back tonight, but she is less exhausted from the trip here than I am."

"You should stay with us." Peter said.

I was surprised he made such an offer. He didn't usually invite people into our home.

"We live on a farm not too far from here. There's plenty of room." he said.

Sophia.

I only new Ana for about 15minutes, and already she was getting me into trouble.

But I could forgive her for that, because Peter was there too.

I smiled absently.

"Sophia?"

"Huh?"

"Are you coming?"

"Yeah. Id love to... Thanks!" Oh My God. Peter actually invited me....

"Sophia?!" A voice called.

"Coming Valerie. Wait a moment. Ill be right back."

I walked down the stairs, glanced back, missed a stair and fell...

A very graceful thing to do.

I was so angry at myself at that moment, but I forgave my self immediately, since Ana, Melody AND Peter came rushing down the steps to help me up.

I tried to smile and walk it off... But I bushed... the Third time in one day. Not something I normally do...

I was so head over Heels....

When I finally made it down without any more injuries, I told Valerie Id be staying with a few friends. She wasn't very thrilled, and I knew neither would Lyla be, but Valerie promised to tell her.

"Thanks Val." I exclaimed and hugged her goodbye.

Okay, I think we're good now.

Peter

I led the three girls out of the tavern and into the night air, glad to be out of the noise and stench of the bar.

We walked a ways in silence. It was an awkward and strange silence. Being next to Sophia made me feel like I hadn't in a very long time, but I didn't want to recognize it as anything more than standing next to a pretty girl. I wasn't having feelings for her, no I couldn't be. I had too much of an obligation to Ana. I couldn't just be running off with a girl to a new life, at least not until Ana and the farm had been taken care of.

I shook the thoughts from my head. Who am I kidding? Ana is too reckless to ever settle down with a man.

Ana

I shivered slightly. The night air was cool, and I wasn't completely clothed either. But more than that, it almost felt as if we were being followed. There were legions of possibilities of who could be following us in a city like this. I just hoped it wasn't that crazy prince.

"Hey Mel, are you going to be staying with us?" I asked Melody, realising we had never formally discussed this.

"Ana, I think we already know that answer." Peter mumbled from in front of us.

Melody laughed. "Of course I'm staying with you, Ana."

"Just like every night..." Peter grumbled.

We kept walking until we reached the city gate. We stopped in the stable nearby and retrieved our two horses. Peter helped Sophia onto his horse first and then pulled himself up behind her. I caught a hint of blush on his face, and more of a blush on Sophia's face. I hoped she was comfortable like that, Peter didn't usually realise that Melody and I were about the only women who didn't ride side saddle.

Melody and I shared my horse and we all started back to the farm.

It wasn't long before we reached our small homey farm. Wheat grew tall in the fields. I groaned a little at the thought of harvest time coming soon.

Peter took the horses and I led Sophia and Melody inside the house. I looked back to the road once before entering the house. I still felt followed.

Sophia

My heart was racing the entire way on the horse. I was so afraid that everyone could hear it.

My face felt hot.

peter was holding the rains of the horse around me, so i felt as if he was hugging me, but who was I kidding. No one ever would like me... No one ever did, except Lyla.

We stopped in front of a small farm, and got off our horses.

I don't know if I was just imagining, but I think I heard something in the bushed.

"Uhm, Ana? I don't know if I am imagining this, but, I think there's something in the bushes..."

Everyone spun around and looked where I pointed.

We stood for a few seconds and stared at the bushes, when Peter suggested we should go inside. He would look around later.

You could tell that neither of us was thrilled of the idea that Peter should go out all by himself, so we got candles, and split up into two groups.

I was with Peter again, but this time, I wasn't as excited as on the horse. I was too scared.

"Peter? Maybe one of the guards of the Prince followed us, or even the Prince himself..." My voice trailed off. Every child knew what happened to peasants that hurt anyone royal.

Peter turned and looked at me.

I could tell he didn't want to answer that.

Suddenly something moved in the bushes.

We spun around.

Amnash

Amnash turned towards Samuel.

"Cult? Oh yes," He laughed as he sliced two civilians in half in one stroke, "those very helpful fools. Yes, their stronghold is near. I shall lead you to them once I am finished here."

He charged towards a group of peasants who were running away. With unnatural speed, he caught up with them and turned them into a bloody pile of lifeless skin and bone.

"You mortals bore me already." Amnash growled.

A group of guards carrying crossbows fired at Amnash from the city walls. Their bolts shot through his armour, but the damage they caused was not enough to stop Amnash. He pointed his sword at them, and a bolt of fire shot up at them. One of the guards was knocked several metres into the sky, falling from the opposite side of the wall - the impact almost certainly killed him. The other guards simply began to writhe around, before eventually ceasing to move - most likely the work of Samuel.

Amnash climbed on top of the nearest house in one movement, and raised his arms to the air.

"Is there no worthy opponent in this city?!" He roared. He paused for a moment, wondering if any would answer his challenge.

Daybreak-

They had already seen me, so I figured it was pointless to continue hiding. For a second, I considered changing back to my hybrid form, but then decided against it. I smiled at the looks of fear on the peoples' faces as a large white wolf jumped out of the bushes before them. People were funny.

"It's a wolf!" One of the girls cried.

The boy began searching his pockets for a knife or a sword. Two of the girls backed away, but the last one stood strong and just stared at me, like she had had lots of confrontations with wolves. I smiled and morphed back into a hybrid. Everyone stopped and seemed to calm down a little, but just barely. I sat on the ground and smiled at them.

"Hi!" I exclaimed with a smile.

The girl who had stayed calm the entire time stepped forward. "Hello," she said quietly.

"Who are you?" The boy demanded.

My smile fell. "Not the friendliest bunch of people, are you?" I asked, standing up. The boy coughed, reminding me of his question. "Oh! I'm Daybreak," I told them.

"Why did you follow us?" He snapped.

I frowned. "Well that's not fair!" I cried. "This isn't a one-person-show! All or nothing! Who are you?" My smile returned as my talking speed quickened.

The calm girl spoke first. "I'm Sophia," she told me.

I smiled. The girl who had cried out stayed back, but the other one stepped forward. "I'm Ana, and this is Melody." She looked at the boy. "And this is my brother, Peter."

"Oh..." I said, almost dreamily, like I wasn't even paying attention. "That's nice."

"Why did you follow us?" Peter asked again.

I looked at him. "Curiosity. You guys made quite a stir back there. Figured I'd see what you were up to. It's my first time around humans."

Peter silenced. Melody looked at me. "First time around humans ever?" I nodded. "How old are you?"

"Seventeen," I answered. "Nightfall kept me away from people though," I explained. The bushes behind me rustled again, and my new friends huddled close together. I sighed. "Speak of the devil..."

---

Nightfall-

I stepped out of the bushes and walked up next to Daybreak.

"You really need to stop running off," I told her. I jumped when I saw the group of people in front of me. "Who are they?"

"My new friends!" She cried. I rolled my eyes. "This is Peter, Ana, Melody, and Sophia." The group had calmed down some and were staring at us. "This is Nightfall, my sister," I told them. "She's the one that kept me away from humans."

They nodded in understanding. "You're the ones who were making all that noise back there, weren't you?" I asked them, a tad bit annoyed. They looked around, trying to appear innocent. "Thought so. What were you doing?"

Peter looked at me. "Trying to escape," he said.

I raised an eyebrow. "From whom?"

"A prince," Ana said. "And his royal guards."

I couldn't help but laugh. "You got yourselves into quite a mix-up, didn't you?" They nodded sheepishly.

"Well, anyway, we really should be getting back now," Peter said.

"Oooh! Can we come?!" Daybreak asked. I shot her a threatening look, but she didn't even take notice.

Peter grumbled angrily. Ana and Melody looked at each other. Ana answered, "Sure. Why not?"

Daybreak's face lit up and I rolled my eyes.

On the way back to...where ever it was we were going, Sophia asked us questions...a lot of questions. She started with Daybreak, thankfully, who was happy to answer them.

"What happened to your eye?"

Daybreak touched her scar. "It's blind. I got this scar when it happened, and this," she told her, pointing to the knick in her ear. "I was attacked by a bear when I was a baby. It knocked me off a cliff and I hit a branch or two...or a lot...on the way down."

Sophia flinched. "Oh..." She directed her attention at me. "And what about that? What's that under your eye?"

I looked at her, showing her a better view of my tattoo. "I was born with it. Some sort of minor defect. It comes with the magic I've got, as far as the ability to morph, which you've already seen Daybreak do," I answered. I shot Daybreak another look, and I knew she caught it that time.

"Ahh..." Sophia answered thoughtfully. "What color was your other eye?" She asked Daybreak.

"Green, like this one," she replied, pointing to her right eye. "I'm not like Nightfall in that area." Sophia nodded.

Daybreak and I looked up in curiosity at the home we had come to.

The two newcomers seemed nice, and although I must have seemed very nosey and probably rude, they didn't seem angry.

I thought we would get along pretty well.

Peter was walking upfront.

He didn't look so thrilled about even more newcomers.

One was enough for one day.

He was so hansom.

I sped up.

"Ana? Are we to many people for Peter? He seems really grumpy. If we are, I can always still go home..."

Ana looked at me. Kinda surprise.

"I thought you liked us, especially Peter."

"Yeah, I do. But I can put myself in your shoes. Id hate it if 3 new people just came to my house and..."

"Make sure Peter doesn't hear that. He'd be angry at you for even thinking about going home, after he invited you." Ana snickered.

I blushed. Why do I keep doing that?! Note to self: Stop blushing...

Peter turned.

"Here we are."

I pocketed the pouches and tied the sword round my back with some rope in my pockets. I jumped the small gap between the roof I was on and the next I landed neatly and jumped down onto a carriage as it passed by. Their was a dull Thud as I landed on the wooden roof. A startled driver turned around and jumped when he saw me.

"it's alright I'm not going to hurt you" I said stepping down onto the soft leather I sat down and took a large gulp of the drivers whiskey.

"keeps you warm on a cold winter night don't it" the driver said. I smiled and gulped down another long gulp.

"at this point I just want to get drunk and have sex" I said and the driver nodded thoughtfully. Although really he seemed a bit taken a back by my plain speaking.

"Andrew when will we arrive home" a young lady said popping her head out of the carriage.

"very soon my lady" He said looking back at her i had to quickly take the reins as a shopper was pushed into the road my a friend.

"Andrew you've know me since I was a little girl you don't have to call me My lady" The Lady said Andrew smiled sorry.

"sorry Sarah" He chimed back thanking me for saving him from a crash. The lady Sarah settled back into a carriage. I took one last swig from the whiskey. When it was empty I handed it back to him.

"I'm drunk now, well close, now for the sex" I said and took he sword off.

"look after this" I said before swinging around the carriage and opening the door to the inside.

"hey what are you doing" Andrew said .

"eyes on the road Andrew" I said and he reluctantly turned back to the road.

"well hello their Lady Sarah" I said sitting next to her.

Ten minute later I climbed out of the window lightly pushing Sarah off my chest. I sat down next to Andrew again making sure to put the sword back on my back.

"did you, you know" Andrew said I shook my head.

"she had to many layers, I swear how she put up with taking that off every time she needs a piss" I said. Andrew smiled slightly. A light flashed in front of us.

"what the hell" Andrew said and I nodded in agreement.

"I normally turn away from the scary flashing things" I said.

"its advice that I think should be followed" I added and grabed the other reins helping Andrew turn the carriage but it wouldn't turn fast enough and a tendril of light smashed in between us and the carriage flipped up. I rolled when I landed but Andrew was old and slammned painfully on the floor. Quickly I ran toward him but he started to roll around in agoony before bursting into flames. I turned to see two men at the end of the street, one was clearly a Wisard an the other well he baisicly a skeleton in a suit of amour. He grunted ludlt.

"he's all your Amnash" The wizad said and the skeleton charged forward. I darted to the left down a corridor but could feel Amnash fast on my heels. I took the sword of my back, just in case. Suddednly I darted left craching threw a wooden door were a man who had been praying quickly got up, knowing what was behind me I just continued to run up the stairs. Amnash paused to kill the men downstairs. I got to the roof but realised their was no were to go. Quickly I deflect a blow from Amnash sword I could tell he was surprised normally his sword cut threw most other swords.

"royal quality" I explained he nodded and we continued are fight after a few blows he kicked the sword out of my hand.

"wait don''t ki.." I was cut off as he jabbed his sword through my stomach.

"dam" I whezzed before falling backwards off the building, I crashed into a pile of garbage cans they cuched my fall slightly, I looked to my left were my sword was lying. I grabed it and clutched it tilightly, I could get though this. Right?.

"Here we are." I sighed as I led the now six teenage girls into my home.

"Home sweet home." Ana said happily.

"Ana, go make sure the beds are made for our guests." I instructed.

"Ugh." she groaned. "Why don't you do it?"

"Because I'm going to make us all something to eat." I said. I was beginning to get annoyed with her.

She noticed my annoyance and left the room, followed closely by Melody. I swear, those two never leave each other's side.

"And change out of those clothes while you're at it!" I called after them. They burst into laughter as they ran to Ana's bedroom.

"I swear..." I started mumbling about Ana and all the trouble she gets me into.

"Do you not like your sister?" Daybreak was suddenly right in my face, asking questions.

"What?" I said, backing away from the strange wolf girl. "No, of course I like her."

She frowned. "Well you seem awfully upset with her."

"She's just...difficult. It's hard to explain."

Daybreak seemed satisfied with my answer and went to explore the rest of the kitchen with Nightfall following after her and telling her to be careful.

I could really relate to Nightfall, we both had impossible sisters.

"I really love your home." Sophia said softly from the kitchen table.

"Oh, uhm. Thank you." I said without looking at her. She probably thought I hated her or something. But that was far from the truth. I just didn't want to look at her and find myself blushing at her beauty. I couldn't let myself fall in love.

I finished adding all the ingredients to the stew and lit a fire beneath it. I joined Sophia at the table and stared at my hands.

"So you live with the elves, huh?" I asked.

"Huh?" She hadn't heard me.

I cleared my throat. "So you live with the elves, huh?" I repeated.

Samuel

“Royal quality.” Explained the boy as he deflected Amnash’s sword with ease. They fought for another little while, and then Amnash knocked the sword out of his hand and stabbed him. The kid stumbled backward, slipping on the roof’s tiles and falling into the pile of garbage cans below. The sword went clattering along the cobblestones, and then the boy dived after it and clutched it tightly.

Samuel cleared his throat, still in the same place they’d been when the fight had started. “Amnash, would you let him live for just a few moments longer?”

The undead warrior grunted his assent, then dropped down off the roof. Samuel turned his eyes to the young man before him, “Whose sword is that?”

“Mine.” The kid said, looking suspicious.

“No, it isn’t.” Samuel replied, “Because, as you said, it’s royal quality. And you, my friend, are by no means royalty.”

“Master…” Servant murmured.

Samuel gave him an annoyed look, “Yes, I recognise it. How could I not?” And indeed, he did know that sword by sight. His family, after he’d gone rogue, had designed it with the sole purpose of killing him. In the boy’s hands, it was nothing more than a rapier that would never break under the blows of a sword, even one such as Amnash’s. But in the hands of a Lafavre, it made the wielder immune to magic.

It was a true stroke of luck that it had more or less fallen into Samuel’s hands. The most effective weapon against him, and here he had the opportunity to destroy it.

“Now,” said Samuel, looking at the boy, “How close is the prince that you took this from? And I suggest you answer truthfully, or else a death at the hands of Amnash will seem like a heaven compared to the sicknesses I can give you.”

Marten

“Sir.” There was a pause, and then someone shook his shoulders again, “Sir, wake up!”

Marten’s bleary eyes opened, and he held a hand to the back of his head as he sat up. Rello drew back from him a little. “That was really quite unnecessary.” The prince murmured, “I wasn’t going to do anything to them…”

He looked around the room, trying to see where he’d dropped his rapier. Realising that one of them must have taken it, he shot to his feet, “Where are they? They’ve taken the sword!”

Rello gave him an alarmed look, then said, “Gesin’s been asking questions about them, apparently two of them live on a farm out of town.”

Marten nodded, “Then that’s where we’ve got to go. I need that weapon back before I see Samuel.”

Within minutes, the two of them had met with Gesin in the stables, and were riding along a rough trail towards the farm they’d been told of.

"dam me" I said rolling over in the garbage. THe wizard Samuel lifted me up with magic and threw me backwards into a wall.

"fine, fine" I said and my stomach burned were I had been stabbed.

"he was back at a pub around that way" I said honestly pointing to were he had been. Samuel grabbed me not believing me.

"really?" he said I nodded franticly. He believed me and put me down. I fell to my knees as he walked off then he turned around and came up to me he waved his hand over the wound and it disapered. I let out a relifed sigh.

"is that cause I helped you" I asked.

"no, thats so that is the prince isn't their I can kill you myself" He said before walking off.

We were at Peters home.

It was small, but beautiful.

Peter was a good brother. He loved Ana allot.

I was disappointed. I had allowed my self to feel attached to something..well someone, and that person hated me. Or maybe not hated, but didn't feel the same way.

"So you live with the elves, huh?" Peter asked.

At first I didn't here it.

"Huh?" Was my only response.

Oh My God, he must think I am a complete retard.

I blushed.

"Yeah, I do."

"How come?" He asked not looking at me.

"When I was a baby, Lyla, the elf I live with found me in the forest. And since then she watched over me."

Peter stopped stirring and looked up. "Sorry."

"No its OK. The question had to come sooner or later." I tried to smile, failing miserably.

I felt so stupid, I asked the wrong question. I should have been thinking! Why am I letting this girl get to me so much. "If it makes you feel any better, my parents aren't around any more either." I said. "They died when I was eighteen and I have been watching over Ana and the farm ever since."

"That's nice of you to watch out for her, you seem to have done a good job." She said.

I looked to her and smiled. "Yes, I raised a very good theif."

She blushed a little. Oh how I love that blush, stop Peter. Remember where your responsibilities lie.

I laughed a little to lighten the mood. "She's really not all that bad."

Sophia nodded and smiled slightly.

I turned back to the stew and stirred some more, eventually deciding it was done.

"Food's done!" I called throughout the house."

Ana

I laughed at Melody. She was still swooning over the prince, even though he had tried to kill her.

"He didn't try to kill me, he just wanted to know where that theif king was or something." she said defensively.

"Sure, Mel." I laughed.

"Food's done!" Peter called from the kitchen.

"I smell stew." Melody said.

"Let's go." I pulled her off my bed and we ran to the kitchen.

"Are the beds made, Ana?" Peter asked once I entered the kitchen.

"Well...we have a tad of an issue." I said.

Peter watched me expectantly.

"We have a tad of a shortage on beds." I said at last.

"Oh, I suppose we do don't we." he frowned.

"But it's okay!" I jumped back in. "My bed's big enough for me and Mel to share and we have one guest bed that Daybreak and Nightfall can share and we have your bed..." I trailed off. Peter's face turned a little red at the thought of his bed left with room to share with Sophia. I knew it! I knew he liked her! I smiled at how smart I was.

"Sophia can have my bed." he said. "I'll sleep in the barn. One of the dogs is sick anyways and I should look after her..."

"Well let's eat." Melody piped in.

I sat down and Peter set a bowl of steaming hot stew in front of me. It smelled delicious.
