Adam

Rosalind walked towards us out of the bushes.

"great the physics here, again" I said sarcastically and Ebba turned to me with a grumpy look on her face.

"yeah well who are you anyway" Ebba said and some people sighed.

"a thief" Jarin said.

"a conman" Revelon added.

"a talker" Aliya said last and I felt hurt I thought we were friends.

"I prefer the title charmer " I said bowing sarcasticly.

"I meant name" Ebba said.

"Adam" I said. Rosaling came and said hi to everyone>

"Great now we have two soildier guys one guy that wishes he was a soilder guy a princess and a tracker or something, oh and a phycic" I said as we began to follow the crowd out of the clearing.

"did I say Talker I meant cynic" Aliya said walking a little faster.

"sorry, its just my nature" I said speedong up to match her pace. She blanked me and engaged Eden in conversation. I noticed Jarin was busy talking to Revelon about how things had changed since the deaths. So I saw a chance to talk to Ebba. I patted her on the shoulder and she turned around, when she saw it was me she seemed reluctent.

"do you always judge people by what Jarin says" I said and the way she didn't answer and turned her head slightly answered the question for me.

"I trust Jarins judgement is all" Ebba said.

Aliya

The group proceeded to god knows where through the forest. Aliya was tired of not knowing where they were going.

"Is anyone going to tell me what on earth our plan is?" she said loudly.

"Look's like someone is a little impatient." Adam said, seeming excited to be able to talk bad about Aliya for once.

"Oh shut up, Adam." Aliya said. "How about you, Jarin? You seem to be the man with the plan, where are we going?"

Rosalind.

I smiled to myself.

I didn't want to interfere.

I had always enjoyed to watch humans argue or just be... well Humans...

I smiled again.

Some people here were just too interesting.

Id just follow them and watch.

Ebba

Ebba felt a tap on her shoulder. She jumped, then turned to see Adam. Ebba's shoulders stiffened slightly.

"Do you always judge people by what Jarin says?" he asked sharply. Ebba turned to glance at Jarin nervously. She heard Adam make an irritable grunt behind her.

"I trust Jarin's judgement," Ebba replied simply.

"Romantically, I assume?"

"No," said Ebba sharply. "Absolutely not. No. I have simply known Jarin all of my life. And after Kenzel's invasion, my trust for him tripled. But I have never felt any romantic feelings for him."

Ebba fell into an uneasy silence. What she had said was true, but Ebba had the distinct impression that Adam did not think so. Ebba sped up her pace nervously, falling in line next to Acenon and Eden, who were engaged in a fervent conversation about tracking.

Acenon glanced at Ebba. "What's wrong, Princess?" he asked, seeing Ebba's expression.

"Nothing," said Ebba quickly. "It's nothing, I - "

"Is anyone going to tell me what on earth our plan is?" came the loud comment from Aliya. The group froze and turned to her. Ebba glanced at Jarin, who had turned stony-faced.

"Keep your voice down," he ordered coldly. "We are going back to our camp to pick up supplies. Then we are relocating to a safer location. Once there, we will decide what to do next. If any of this does not suit your liking, by all means, tell me. Other than that, however, we go."

Ebba glanced at Aliya. She was slightly pale from Jarin's scolding. Ebba felt slightly bad for her, but moved on in silence along Acenon and Eden.

Aliya

Aliya felt herself go pale at Jarin's scolding. She hadn't meant much by it, she just wanted to know what was going on. Aliya hated not know what was going on. It wasn't her fault she had only been on her own for half a day and would like to not get caught up in something she wasn't prepared for.

She didn't respond to Jarin's scolding and tried not to let if effect her too much, but she felt a tear work it's way down her cheek.

She wiped it away quickly, and hoped no one had seen it. Aliya felt extremely childish fo crying over being talked to sternly but she just couldn't help it. She missed her teacher, her only family.

Demeter-

As the group made its way towards me, I jumped into the bushes. I had always believed that it was important to make an entrance. When they were close enough, I jumped out. The horse at the front jumped with fright and reared back, but was quickly calmed. The group looked at me with mixed emotions of curiostiy and disapproval.

"Hiya," I greeted calmly. No one said anything. "Where ya headed?"

One man with reddish hair turned away with an annoyed grumble. I raised an eyebrow and watched him. A girl in a fancy dress, also with reddish-brown hair stepped out.

"Who are you?"

"Name's Demeter. I'm originally from the town just outside the forest, but the scumbag who took over as king kicked me out a couple years ago when they caught me stealing."

"Ah, so you're against him too?" A man with long black hair stepped out from behind the carriage. I nodded. "Well met, Demeter!" He exclaimed and came to greet me. "Acenon." I shook his hand warmly.

The girl stared at me, a little worried, then said, "I'm Ebba."

I stared at her, a little bewildered. "You mean...like...the..."

"Princess? Yes," Acenon told me.

The annoyed man turned around. "Cut it out!" He yelled quietly.

"She's against Kenzel!" Acenon protested. "Everything's fine!"

"But we don't know that for sure!" The man growled, getting right in Acenon's face.

I looked at him. "You don't trust easily, do you?" I asked him.

He looked at me. "You're correct, young lady," he told me. I rasied an eyebrow.

"Who are you anyway?"

"Jarin. You probably know me, if you lived in the town," he said.

I laughed. "I most certainly do." I curtsied. "It'd be an honor to join you, if you have plans to take down the Cretan who murdered the royal family. With, of course, the exception of Ebba..." I told him, still a little shocked that she was still alive.

I could tell he was trying hard not to, but he smiled. "Very well then," he told me. "This is Revelon, Eden, Adam, Aliya, and..."

"Rosalind!" I exclaimed quietly. My new friend stepped towards me.

"Demeter...!" She said in response. She smiled broadly at me, and I grinned back.

I smiled at Jarin. "So. Where are you headed?"

Revelon Oracio:

"The girl raises a good question," Revelon said. "I succest that we go to your camp, and then head towards my home."
Demeter lifted an eyebrow "and where do you live?"
Revelon looked flustered, "Where are my manners?" he bowed his head to the girl. "I am Revelon duke of Oracion." He looked smug.
"Are you sure Revelon? People could see us," Jarin said. He looked worried.
"No one questions my authority in Oracion. That Kenzel bastard has tried to steal some of my lands but has failed, the only reason we aren't already killing each other is..." his eyes drilled onto Ebba "Because he seems to have more important matters to attend to. And I don't want to sacrifice my men," he shook his head "There are few places safer for you than Oracion,"

Adam

"god kill me now if I have to spend another second with this smug basterd" I said mocking praying and staring up into the sky. Revelon gave me a look and I smiled back.

"you know the way you put yourself above us when you talk to us is worst than being smug" Ebba said as we continued on are way.

"I have a bad expiriance with nobles and such" I said she nodded.

"don't we all" Ebba said and I laughed.

"whats yours?" she asked.

"well, I trained to be on the Royal Guard, got on it too but I didn't really like it so I tried to walk away from it, they arrested me dissowned me from all of my family ties, stripped me of my assets and threw me in the middle of the dessert to die, do you know what it's like to watch someone whos suppose to be all about good and honur riding away from you in the dessert on a horce and knowing that you'll die" I said Ebba stayed silent at the last bit.

"so who did you watch ride away?" Ebba asked.

"Jarin, he dosen't even reconise me, not that I can blame I use to be white as paper now well the desser I'm tanned, use to not have a beard, now I kinda have one, my hair use to be short aswell its not now hell I even speak diferently, I'm a new man" I finished but Ebba looked doubtful.

"Jarin would never do something like that" she said defiently and I couldn't help but laugh at her innocent.

"my darling for all of your Jarins skills and manners and actions he is nothing more that a loyal tool" I finished with a slight hiss and Ebba pulled away.

"I still don't beleive you" She said with a snarl.

"don't worry darlin you'll see things eventualy if you'd lived my life seen what I've seen, then the world would be a happier place, a sadder place and have a much darker future" I said.

"well I think I like my life then, I mean were gonna lead a rebellion aganst the king" she said.

"people say I'm a cynic well I am but I'm also a realist, Kenzle has an army and the royal guard I mean did you hea who he appointed as his head of royal guard" I said and Ebba shook her head.

"he appointed Cryer Scalp, hes part of a dying race in tiefelon a country about 300 hundred miled to the east, their creatures of bloody nightmare, I looked into some on a trip, their trained from birth to ignore pain and focus compleatly on their goal at hand. They incredibly skilled in hand to hand combat and with katarns, when they reach the age of twenty three, they beat their skins until their tough like hide or leather then the fuse armour to their skins but leaving main point of agility out so that they can still move compleatly well. Then they clothe them in black leather and give then a diamond helmet. I swear their almost indistructible" I finished and Ebba looked at me with unbelieving eyes.

"I swear their real, I fought one in the city of glader shot him six times with a crossbow, hit him with a cannon still alive in the end I stabbed himthrpugh the stomach and threw him into the river, see thats their one weakness they sink in water" I said I enjoyed sharing my knowledge with people. Ebba nodded.

"see if you killed one they can't be that hard to kill" Ebba said and I felt insulted.

Aliya

She stepped up behind Adam and Ebba.

"Excuse me for interupting, but I have to agree with Ebba on our advantages." Aliya said.

Adam rolled his eyes and looked back to Ebba. "Anyways..." he started.

"I'm being serious." she interupted again. "The royal guard is full of big burly men who have an extensive knowledge of weapons and fighting-"

"Exactly!" Adam interupted.

"Could you be so kind as to not interrupt me again? Thank you." Adam finally shut up and let Aliya talk. "One thing the royal guard does not have is an extensive knowledge of magic, or a fortune teller." I gestured to the people around us.

"Yes, but even if we do know more they have us outnumbered by the thousands." Adam pointed out.

Ebba gave him an annoyed look. "I like what Aliya has to say." she turned to Aliya. "Continue."

"Anyways, if we could round up an army..."

"Nonsense, Aliya." Adam interrupted yet again. "It would never work."

Aliya crossed her arms and picked up her pace in a huff. She didn't need to talk to Adam and all his doubts.

The thought did stay on her mind though. But even if it was a good idea, no one would listen to someone who had only been on their own for a day.

Demeter-

I heard heavy footsteps behind me and turned to see a very upset Aliya hurrying away from Adam and Ebba. I raised an eyebrow and slowed down so that she was walking beside me.

"I heard what you were saying," I told her.

She looked at me. "Oh, great. Have you come to shoot it down too?" She asked, annoyed.

I smiled. "No, actually. On the contrary. I'm intrigued by it. And I agree." She looked at me, a little surprised. "Those brutes in the army wouldn't know anything about magic if it shook their hands warmly and introduced itself." Aliya tried hard not to laugh. I smiled again. "If we just got a few powerful mages...or, y'know, something, we could take them out with no trouble at all. Is that what you were suggesting?"

She nodded shortly. I smiled. "Tell me more about your idea. A little more in depth."

Hope this helped :)

Revelon:

He was upset. People didn't normally make jokes about a veteran of one of the biggest wars the country had ever seen, much less of a duke!
He was sulking on his horse when something came to him: "Jarin where is your horse?"
Jarin lifted his head "At the camp... why?"

"The kenzel sent out hounds."
Jarin swore under his breath. "How many?"
Revelon thought about it for a second "About ten," he said.
"Can you go and stall them... they don't know that your with us, you could trick them."
Revelon shook his head "No. If they have a hound there it would smell your sent on me," he sighed.
"We have to hope they aren't at the camp."
Jarin looked worried. "How many search groups," he asked.
"About thirty twenty men in each. They have five hundred men back at the town."
"Damn it."
Jarin stopped everyone, "The camp is beyond these bushes," he said. The others were already going in.
"Stop," Jarin hissed. "This may be a trap."

**Arya, just post a reaction to this post - Be assertive in your posting, talk to people in the group. Simple small talk is great when introducing a character.

Ebba

"Stop," hissed Jarin. "This may be a trap."

From beside her, Ebba heard Adam make a disbelieving noise in his throat. Ebba pushed down the ever rising dislike for the man. After all of his comments about Jarin, Ebba only wished she knew enough about her pendant's power to turn him into the rat that he was. But, alas, human transformation took real power, a kind that Ebba was not ready to use.

Mastering her emotions, Ebba walked quietly away from him and toward Jarin.

"What do you mean?" Ebba whispered. Jarin glanced at Revelon.

"Revelon thinks the soldiers might have reached our camp. He said they had hounds."

"Jarin," said Ebba, alarmed. "If they have hounds... They could be on our tracks any second!"

"Exactly, Princess," said Revelon solemnly. "I saw over five hundred soldiers back at the town, all preparing to search the forest."

Acenon stepped up, obviously having been listening to their conversation. "Then what do you suggest we do? With five hundred soldiers, Kenzel would be able to close the borders of the forest with no problem. In other words, we are trapped."

"Not only trapped," said Eden nervously from behind Ebba. Ebba jumped slightly. "The safe area for us is narrowing. The forest must be crawling with bands of soldiers by now, if they started searching this morning. Never mind the borders being guarded, how are we even supposed to reach them without being caught?"

"I have an idea," said Demeter quietly, from the edges of the group. As Ebba turned to her, she saw that Demeter's eyes were glued to a small, flowering plant near Ebba's feet. "I haven't been with you for long enough for your scent to truly cling on me. And that plant," she said. "Happens to secret an oil that masks human scent in general. Useful when you don't want to get caught..." Demeter flashed a distracted smile. "All I need to do it rub some of that oil on me, and walk into your camp. If there are guards, or if there are dogs, my excuse will be that it is my camp, and my horse, and that I'll just be on my own way. If they stop me, they will have no way to prove I have been with you."

"That sounds like it might work!" said Aliya in a hushed excitement. Ebba glanced at Jarin. His mouth was twisted, and Ebba knew he didn't like entrusting their safety to the newest member of the group.

"I agree," he said finally. "The plan sounds reasonable. We can get everything in the camp that way."

Revelon:

He looked at Demeter amazed. "You my lady are a bloody genius," he said with admiration. Pass me that oil will you. He told her. "They don't know that I'm with you all. They still think that I'm one of them. If I get some of that oil they might not even get to know about me being with you," he was silent for a moment. "The horse is the problem.. It is full of Jarin's smell. We need to cover it with oil... Bloody hell, all of us have to be covered by that thing. They might smell us from where we are right now."

Jarin nodded. Soon they all had put on some of the oil. Demeter went in first. Nothing happened, she beckoned the others. Revelon dismounted his horse and walked in behind her. he heard a twig snap, he took a hidden knife and threw it at the sound. He heard a woman's voice yelp in sudden fright. He ran to the sound and found a girl on the ground, the knife just above her head.

Rosalind

"Wow. Slow down Revelon. I'm with you guys." a said when Revelon came running towards me with a knife.

"How do you know my name and how do I know I can trust you?" he asked surprised.

"To answer the first question. Its kinda my job to know this kind of things, and the second question: Aliya and Jarin know me."

He scowled. "Well find that out in a minute."

Revolon grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards the others.

"Hey Rosalind." Aliya said waving.

I smiled and nodded.

"You know her."

"Well yeah. She told me that you guys were coming in a twisted kinda way. Shes a fortune teller."

Revelon let go of my wrist.

A fancy dressed girl walked toward me and said, "You are a fortuneteller? Can you tell us if Kenzels hounds have already got our sent?"

"I'm sorry Princess Ebba. But I am not mighty enough to know things so clearly. I ´just know that their on the way." I smiled appolegently.

"I guess we have to get going then." Someone said.
