My character can be Quin's friend :) Do you mind if she can be a shape shifter too? :D Pwetty pwease! I'll love you forever! lol.

Name: Sonnet *steals name from her other storybook character, can't think of anything else*

Age: 17

Ability: Shapeshifter. Her other form is a serval

Image

Appearance: She has medium length chestnut brown hair that goes red in the sun. She is of medium height, slim, with emerald eyes that she retains in her serval form.

Personality: She is fun loving and up for anything. She is a bit of a geek and spends a lot of time studying. She finds it very hard to trust people she doesn't know, because of what her parents did to her (see below) Her greatest fear is to get close to someone and they either leave her or something happens to them. She is a bit dozy sometimes but a true friend would love her for it. Music is her life, she is rarely seen without her ipod.

History: When her power first emerged, her first transformation was very slow. It took her three weeks to fully turn into a serval. During those first painful days, her parents rushed her to every doctor in the country trying to find out what was wrong with her when gold spotted fur sprouted all over her body. It eventually came to them disowning her, a week before she was fully transformed.
She ran from her family and spent one year living in the wild, before she took refuge in the college and befriended Quin. He nicknames her 'stilts' due to servals having long legs. He is her only friend in the school.

Just to clear things up, anyone can have two or one characters. I think more than fifteen people may start to get ridiculous so lets say a max of 15. At the moment I think we have about six so anyone else is welcome to join at the moment.

I didn't mention but if anyone comes up with some teachers as well, just like the head or something to keep a flow on things.

Everyone before this post is fine to begin RPing, so if anyone wants to start then go ahead :)

* I hope this is ok*

Name: Oliver Laurence

Age: 17

Ability: Oliver has an ability called Fight. It's an omniscience ability that's limited to the knowledge of fighting. In other words he knows how to use any weapon(including the martial art that's companioned with it; if there is one). However his ability has to be triggered (for example he touches a sword he'll know all of the different martial arts that go with the sword. If he touches a jet plane he knows how to pilot it.) If Oliver is not holding or using a weapon he becomes useless.

Appearance: Almost Every aspect of Oliver, when he's not holding a weapon, appears normal. He has black hair, brown eyes, pale skin, and is short almost medium sized.

Personality: Oliver's just a normal guy, so he keeps un-normal company. He likes people who're different and hates blending in with the crowd. He's a natural trouble maker and prankster.

History: Oliver's dad's a mercenary. He dumped him off on a Nanny and never looked back. Oliver has never forgiven his father and his actions often reflect that.

Name: Matthias Van Helsing

Age:18

Gender: Male

Ability: His bones are coated in a metal ten times harder than steel. The metal charged his body, giving him animalistic features that show mostly in his elongated canines. He has senses (sight, hearing, smell etc.) rivaling a wolfs. he has full control over his bones and can make them turn into blades that come out of his hands (He can make them come out in a variety of ways). His cells are also charged with the metal and they regenerate and an amazing rate. He can not reform limbs, but cuts and other such things he can fix in a matter of seconds. He feels the pain as it happens in its full extent, and he can only heal if he is concious. His mid is also affected he has limited telepathy that allows him to see everything that is going to happen around him for a few seconds into the future.

Appearance: He is tall and muscular. He has messy dark hair and light blue eyes. He spends alot of time outside and he is deeply tanned.

Personality: He is a quiet type. He doesn't say much but he always pays attention. He prefers not to use his abilities unless its absolutely necessary and is generally very peaceful. He has no qualms with authority and doesn't mind taking orders.

History: When he was a kid he would always play fight with his brothers and they would always get hurt. Eventually he figured out what it was when he broke one of his friends necks. After that he stopped and became a recluse. His parents treated him for depression, but it didn't work so they send him away.

Other: Up for love

*I'll get the ball rolling*

Victor sat on the bench, watching a group of students practicing with their abilities, under the supervision of Doctor Janowski. They were all elemental controllers - each having the ability to control fire, wind, water, energy, sometimes a mixture of those things and more. At this distance, Victor's ability had virtually no effect on them, but he could, in theory, concentrate his ability on them, limiting or completely nullifying their powers.

Victor grinned. He decided to have a little practice of his own.

He chose his target - a red haired girl with the ability to control fire. Victor had seen her before, and she didn't seem to happy to be at Tarragon. Chances were she wasn't that enthusiastic about using her power, so she would be easier to nullify from a distance. He faced her, and closed his eyes. He imagined being in her position - he came up with as many scenarios for why she behaved the way she did, and imagined having gone through them, dismissing everything that had actually taken place in his life. He imagined having her power. He imagined himself practicing, as she was doing now. He even attempted to imagine what it was like to be a member of the opposite sex. He held on to these thoughts, and, suddenly, dismissed them all in one go.

He opened his eyes, and couldn't help himself from laughing. He had executed his technique at the exact right moment, as the girl was about to spread a fire and then extinguish it, using only her special ability. But instead of increasing in size, it remained at its previous size, not spreading at all. At first he attempted to suppress his feelings of joy at the girl's perplexed expression, but then he remembered his teacher's advice to embrace such feelings whenever he was successful in controlling his ability. His laughter escalated into a hysterical fit, attracting the attention of the students. He was certain that they suspected him for causing the girl to lose control over the fire.

*I had Aaliyah in mind for the fire controller, but it doesn't have to be her*

What a jerk, I thought, looking at the boy who had who had just caused the red-headed girl to lose control over her power. I had seen him work before, and he could seriously be mean. I hated it. Well two can play at that game. Poor girl, I thought.

I focused my thoughts on the boy that was still laughing. I smiled. I loved mind control. Suddenly he stopped laughing. I then willed him to release his hold on the girls power. Then, just because I could, I made him make the girl stronger. I let go of his mind and stepped back. He held his head.

I didn't laugh or give a smug little smirk. I just felt I did want I needed. I stepped back a little. Out of the thick of things. No one needed to suspect me. Not that I thought he would in the first place.

Sonnet

Sonnet was slumped back in her chair, using one hand as a head rest and the other was fiddling with her ipod under the desk. Her chestnut hair hid the long white wired of the head phones as the professor drawled onwards in the background. He was teaching Science of Shape-Shifting, the most boring class to exist. Who wanted to know how your molecular structure changed when you shifted? Even she, the class nerd, found it hard to concentrate.
"Oh please, could this get any more boring," she whispered to Quin, who looked over at her with a blank, bored-to-death expression.
"You're supposed to like school, nerd," he teased, flicking a bit of his eraser into her face.
She wrinkled her nose, trying very hard not to catapult a sharp pencil his way. A devilish grin spread across her face as another bit of rubber hit her nose.
She grabbed a pencil and used a ruler as a catapult, flinging the spinning cylinder of wood his way. He ducked it and it landed against the wall with a rattle.
The professor looked around, eyeing her behind small circular glasses.
"Ah, Sonnet, why don't you show your class mates what I have been demonstrating?"
Oh crap.
"Uh, I'm actually not feeling well professor," she said in a small voice, her Converse clad feet shifting under the desk.
"Now now, this would only help you feel better! Now, up you get!"
She stood, her whole face reddening as she hid her green eyes behind her fringe.
Boy will I get him later, she thought to herself, shooting a panicked look at Quin, who merely shrugged.
She stood by the board, shooting a glance at it.
Ah, semi shifting. She'd never tried it before.
"So.. you uh... want me to semi shift?"
The professor merely looked at her expectantly. She closed her eyes, taken his silence as a yes. She blocked out the whole class, the whole world...
Golden fur grew around her body speckled with black. Two large ears sprouted from her head and a long tail emerged out from the top of her jeans. Just as her paws began to appear, she stopped the transformation.
Oh yeah! Take that! She whooped in her head. She almost felt like dancing and yelling, "In your face!" to everyone who thought she couldn't do it.
"Ah excellent! There it is, the perfect semi shift!"
A low whistle sounded from the back of the class. "Oh, a real live cat woman." The whole class roared with laughter, while she wished the floor would eat her up.
"Now now, you can change back and return to your seat."
She closed her eyes again, repeating the process...
But nothing happened. There she was, a half cat lady. Uh oh... she thought
Her green eyes opened in horror. "I... I'm stuck," she whispered to the professor.
He nodded calmly while she almost began to hyperventilate. "Go to the nurse..."
She excused herself from the classroom as Quin followed behind, after getting permission from the professor, she nearly dying of embarrassment.
"Oh no," she muttered, as floods of pupils emerged from classrooms as the bell sounded shrilly. Qiun tried to shield her from the calls and laughs of the pupils, as pupils pulled her tail and meowed at her as she passed.

Aubin~

"Hey Sonnet." I said, as she came in, a long tail protruding from her back end and ears out of her head.

"Don't mock me." She muttered.

"I wasn't mocking you. Do you want me to fix you?" I asked.

"How?" She asked, suspicious.

"Like this," I said. I gathered an image in my head of her without a tail. It wasn't rather difficult and I saw the tail and ears slowly dematerialise.

"Wow. Why are you here Aubin?" She asked, sitting next to me, probably preferring not to go back to the classroom.

"Nothing. I'm ditching." I told her frankly.

"In the nurse's office?" She asked.

"Yep." I replied. She knew me well enough to know that I lacked the grace of being able to explain things more eloquently. "I was kicked out of Mental Arts for being too loud, which I honestly wasn't being too loud, just reasonably obnoxious. And he told me that I should come back when I feel like being better behaved. I didn't feel like being better behaved, so I'm just hanging out here."

"I'm planning on staying here until the next class." Sonnet said, still shell-shocked and embarrassed.

"Okay. That was cool though. I wish I could do that." I said, honest, and trying to make her feel better.

"You probably could." She replied.

"Nope, I probably couldn't." I said. Leaving it at that.

Iclisa

I sat down on the clinic table while waiting for the doctor to appear. I had just saw another boy who came before me. Maybe he shares the same ability as i am. I had just came from the class where my ability to control metal was a disaster. I could not yet fully used it. I was afraid to used it. I remembered the other perople looking at me as if i was taken here by accident as a human but i am not a normal human. And how i wished i wanetd to be one.

The doctor came with a number of instruments on a tray. I gulped watching a number of knife and i can feel my face turning pale.

"Don't worry, this won't hurt a bit," he said. DOctors always things like that but i doubt to be true. I remebered the first time i ahd seen one during the war. He had strip the skin off to get a bullet and on the process, the boy was screaming with pain. "I will only checked how long does your body regenerates to full health."

he took a large needle and i moved back. "This will feel like an ant's bite." he said to me as he injected the needle to my arm. i bit my lips hard to stop the pain.

By the time he had finished he had given me some painkilelrs to swallow before he took a scrap of skin gently from my arm revealing my muscles and veins. I squirmed a little while waiting for my broken skin to regenerate to full health. Afterwhich he repeated it again and much deeper.

The same thing happened and he nodded his head in approval.

"As a summary," he said, "You heal yourself much faster than the other boy. GO back to class for now. I'll tell you when we'll meet again."

By that i hurried my way out looking at my uninjured arm. I was surprised on what i am capable to do.

Victor felt an intrusion into his mind, which ripped his focus away from the red-haired girl, causing her to control the fire. He suddenly became aware that, against his will, his ability had the reverse effect on the girl, giving her even greater control over the fire - it expanded slowly and steadily, and she extinguished it with ease.

Victor had never done that before. Of course, he was fully aware that it wasn't him who did it - someone had controlled him, and used his power for him. He decided to try and find out who had reversed the effect of his power, to see if he could gain insight into how to use his power as an amplifier rather than a nullifier.

He looked at the students around the girl whose powers he had both inhibited and enhanced. He didn't know many of them by name, but he had observed them, and knew some of their powers. There was only one person in the group whose power he did not know - a blonde girl, who Victor saw stepping away from him, to the back of the crowd. He made a mental note to try and confront her.

He looked at her from his bench, noticing the occasional glance she gave him.

I don't know who you are, he thought, trying to make his thoughts as noticeable to any potential telepath as possible, but if you are what I think you are, and if you just did what I think you did, I need your help. Nod if you are reading my thoughts.

She didn't nod, but Victor couldn't help but think that she was staring at him while these thoughts processed through his mind. He smiled hopefully, but before anything else could happen, the bell ringed, ending the lesson. Victor went back inside to tell his Mental Arts teacher about his progress.

Kaden-

"Kaden! Where are you!?" Snickering Kade peered over the rim of the roof. It was the newest teacher at the school, Sophie something. She was way young, couldn't have been more then twenty-five. Sophie was the latest teacher assigned to rein him in. Honestly you'd think she'd know where to find a Storm User.

A breath of cold air made Kade turn around, Squall had stretched and stood from where he had been lying. A thin line of frost covered the area. "Alright already." Kade rolled his eyes. "You sure you're my familiar and not my consciounse Squall?" Checking to make sure the coast was clear, Kade leapt over the side of the roof, using wind to cushion the three story drop.

Kade checked his watch, Element class would be just about halfway through, he may as well put in an appearance. He strode into the courtyard Squall pacing beside him.

When he entered the courtyard the teacher gave him an exasperated look, it had been six years since he came to Tarragon, they knew by now that you couldn't make Kaden do anything he didn't want to. "Well, well. Kaden Montague. How nice of you to grace us with your prescence. It's been what two weeks since you attended classes?"

Aubin:

"Don't do it Kade. Unless she pays you money." I advised him. I had come up behind the teacher. That teacher, there was no way to break it sweetly to you, was dead stupid.

"Don't worry." He assured me.

"Stay out of this Aubin." She yelled. I didn't even have her class and she knew me well. "Come down!"

"This is amusing. Someone should put it on YouTube." I said loudly. I loved pissing this teacher off. She got all red and radish like. Some people use that analogy, but this lady would beat the others up for the title of "I-Look-Like-A-Radish-When-I-Get-Angry." Her build helped somewhat, and her whole pinkish skin colouration did it too.
