*DSF, just to clarify, I know you said his similarity to Haku was in Ice Manipulation, but you're not thinking of the mirrors thing, are you? Just because that would be too similar to what I've done with Shinjiro, and I just think it would be better to keep the bloodlines a little different in this*

Shinjiro

Kazuna was fuming when the Sky Nation boy turned away from her and left. For once, he found himself siding with her, although it was out of solidarity for a fellow countryman rather than out of something like friendship. He could see what she was thinking, what right had that guy had to tell her she knew nothing of electricity after her obvious display of knowledge?Just because he could manipulate didn't necessarily mean she hadn't paid attention in class, after all, electricity was something they'd touched on with the Sky in mind.

He put a hand on her shoulder, and her head whipped around. She glared at him, "And just what do you want?"

"We'll kill him later." Shinjiro muttered, his way of showing sympathy on the subject. He didn't like strutting idiots like that electricity boy. Moreover, his Gift created light. Not long enough to melt away his shadows, unlike Kazuna's, but bigt enough to blind him for a good amount of time if he wasn't careful.

Cole~~

When we arrived at the room, we found it to be filled with kids much older and bigger then us, but we shrugged this off and sat down at a table alone.

"Okay they look scary," Violet said.

"But brainless to. And the first part is written, so must will be out before the fighting starts, plus we can just out wit them if they do make it," I pointed out, reassuringly.

After a bit of a wait, the girl from before came in with her group, and soon after that the instructor.

"Follow me!" HE barked and we all followed him.

He lead us to a large testing room, where we were separated from our team. I got a front row seat, next to, unfortunately, the girl from before.

"Don't try cheating off me," I told her as the test was handed out. We got them faced down, and were not allowed to start yet.

"Now I have a few rules to give you," The instructor barked again, "There will be no cheating on this test, if you are found cheating you are marked, if you are marked five times you will fail the test and be sent back home, with your team. And don't you can get around that because of me," and as he said that the chairs arranged on the walls were filled with smoke, and then when it cleared people were there.

"Now begin," The instructor shouted, and immediately the sound of pages turning started.

I looked over the test, there were only nine questions, and as I read them over they were obviously difficult. Most were just plain dumb, with unsure answer because of changing variable, or incomplete text to translate. It wasn't to hard for me though, but I worried about the others on this.

Okay I am going to create 2 other characters to create my squad. They will be NPC’s for now, and if I can I would like to take both or at least one of them as real characters, but please do not kill them without talking to me first!

Oh and don't worry Billy, Korah's powers are different. His doesn't focus on just water manipulation. His Bloodline allows him to use Nature Manipulation, combining Wind and Water to make ice. And he won't be using any mirriors or anything,

Name: Tezuka Letichi

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Country of Origin: Mist

Personality: He is hardly serious, and often laughs or smiles except when he is fighting. He is not sadistic, but he enjoys battles and is an extremely skilled warrior. Plus he is a flirt... a BIG one.

Appearance: http://vashperado.deviantart.com/art/Obito-24012365

Gift: Bloodline: Blood Fusion: Blood fusion basically allows Tezuka to manipulate and control his own blood. He can’t do it a lot however, because if he uses to much of his blood he could die or even pass out. Blood attacks are stronger then normal ones however since they can’t be used a lot. He can from his blood into weapons that can cut through rock and steel, create shields, or even shoot it out like bullets. Blood fusion also has a second thing, Tezuka posses to vampire like fangs and a similar ability to a vampire. By sucking peoples blood he can drain chakra, but the ability goes deeper then that. If he consumes the blood of someone who has a Bloodline he takes on their blood line for a short time, depending on how much blood he drank. So if he drank the blood of someone who can shadow jump, he gains the ability for a bit.
Physical Gift: He is a very skill Taijutsu user, especially with his kunais. His aim is perfect, and he is also good and using them as well as using his fists and such. He sucks at Pure Gift and Mental Gift. He is also extremely fast and agile and excellent at dodging.

Likes: fighting because he enjoys the challenge, stormy weather, and puzzles or challenges.

Dislikes: Wimps, weaklings, cry babies, and those who otherwise aren’t tough

Strengths: Taijutsu and blood manipulation

Weaknesses: Mental gift, and girls... he likes women... a lot, though he will fight them and kick their butts, he just hesitates

Other: He carries around on him a few scrolls with weapons in them that he can summon, as well as a few vials of blood he has taken from those with Bloodlines, so if needed he can consume them

Name: Vera Takumoto

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Country of Origin: Land of the Mist

Personality: She is like any other girl her age. She likes boys, especially strong ones who are excellent fighters. She is an easy going flirt, who likes consistency and likes flirting with anyone nearby...

Appearance: http://gtako.deviantart.com/art/Ninja-32400371

Gift: Bloodline: None
Mental Gift: Vera is extremely gifted when it comes to Mental Gift and her chakra control is infinite. She is also very skilled at healing and sealing jutsus.
She is okay at Physical Gift and Pure Gift, but she is not a Master or a beginner in either of them

Likes: Boys, and books about boys. She likes doing girly things as well, such as sleep overs and hanging out and gossiping

Dislikes: Those who would steal the boys she likes, yes she is very jealous.

Strengths: Mental Gift, she is also very smart!

Weaknesses: Well boys... but she is neither extremely skilled when it comes to fighting nor bad, just... average

Other: Nothing much. She usually has a few scrolls to be used for sealing things, as well as weapons and the such!

Korah

Korah leaned against the wall as he viewed all the others in the room. There were so many other ninja, a lot of them were younger then he and his teammates were, which was actually there loss. He wouldn’t even have been here if it wasn’t necessary, but the damn Swordsmen of the Mist refused to accept him unless he completed these trials. Him and his team weren’t only here for the trials, it was an action of good faith.

The leader of their village, the Mizukage, had sent Korah and his squad here on a term of good faith. It was no secret that the Land of Mist did not get along very well with the other countries, the Land of the Mist rarely sent their ninja to the trials, preferring to train them in their own lands. But things had been getting tense between the villages, and so the Mizukage had sent Korah and his team, almost as a peace offering, showing that the Mist Country still wanted some peace with the other lands.

“Ooo, look at all the cute boys,” Vera murmured from his side as she swung her legs over the desk and stared at all the ninja scattered around. “To many to choose from...”

A silent snort came from Korah’s left and he cast a sideways glance at Tezuka who was checking out a girl who sauntered by. “Cute...” Tezuka said with a small grin.

Korah rolled his eyes as he said, “Well glad to see you two are having fun, but I am getting a feeling that things are just about to start.”

“I can hardly wait, its been a while since I have done anything like this,” Vera said as she slid of the desk and onto the floor. A sudden voice filled the room and seconds later they were all being shuffled into a smaller room and being split up as they were sat down and a test was handed to them.

Korah was seated next to a girl who he smiled at and stretched out his hand as he introduced himself, “Hey, I’m Korah.”

She seemed a bit hesitant, but was one over by his smile as she reluctantly shook his hand. “I’m Kazuna.”

“Ahh... this is your country, your from the Land of Shadow,” Korah said.

“Yes,” Kazuna answered with a nod, “And your are from the Mist,” she finished as she motioned up toward his head band which bore the symbol of the Mist Village.

“Guilty as charged,” Korah answered with a smile.

“The test will now begin!” the instructor yelled, “No talking! And remember the rules!”

Kazuna turned to her paper, and Korah took the hint and turned to his though he cast a smile at her as he picked up his pencil... time to begin!

Guys, sense Korah and Kazuna are near each other, just make sure that Cole seems confident and calm about the test, and is rapidly answering it. Encase I was a bit unclear in my earlier post on that, like I think I was.

Kazuna

"What a weird guy." Kazuna thought as she turned away from the extremely friendly other. Certainly people between villages could be civil, but this was to much. Smiling and handshakes?

To her disappointment, when analyzing the test, it turned out perfectly that every single question was a jumped mess. It made absolutely no sense to her. She tried to pick up her pencil and write something but her hand shook and she dropped it miserably and it clattered against the desk. Automatically the Instructor looked at her, eyebrow raised suspiciously.

"Sorry." Kazuna said. "I just dropped my pencil."

"Get back to the test." He replied sternly, not taking his eyes off of her. She picked up her pencil and tried to force herself to think, but tests were not her thing. The scratching of pencils as other people irritated her because obviously they knew what to do. She gandered over to the electric boy beside her. He was scribbling away, perfectly intent, and completing the test with ease.

"Kazuna Takashiro. Mark one." A person from the side lines called. Kazuna automatically forced her gaze directly back to her page just before she saw the electric boy smirk at her smugly.

Turning to face the other boy, Korah, it became apparent that he was having trouble to but definetely not as much as her. Damn. She was reduced to doodling on the paper hoping for some god-forsaken way to become suddenly genious.

After completing my test, before most hadn't likely finished the first question, I turned my attention to helping my teammates. Putting my hands under the long desk, I concentrated on making a thin electrical string, almost invisible unless you had a microscope. I closed my eyes after that, and I began to see what the string did, quickly I found my way to Violet, then was able to use some pre set signs to give her the whole of the answers, and the same for Itachi. After that I could sit calmly back in my seat. My test turned over, I set my photographic mind to re-reading some of my favorite chapters of my favorite books, which I had memorized.

Shinjiro

The test was exactly as he had expected - unpassable. The questions were disgustingly worded, so only those with a perfect theoretical understanding of the ninja's ways could pass. Shinjiro's mind was fast, but classwork had never been of great interest to him. And since he'd never really paid attention to the theory behind throwing shuriken, or the purpose of calculating distance and angles of throwing and the like.

You couldn't put that into practice in the field, there wasn't enough time. He relied on natural ability, the ability to simply see those things. Here, his natural intuition was telling him that this exam was meant to involve cheating. If they really wanted to prevent it, they wouldn't allow someone to get caught cheating five times before sending them and their team packing.

He raised a hand, and an instructor made his way over to him. "What?"

"Bathroom." Shinjiro replied, "Sorry, I forgot to go before."

The examiner looked skeptically at him, then nodded, following him up to the bathroom. Shinjiro stepped into one of the cubicles, comforted by the shadows around him. Kazuna would not have been able to see him, but that wouldn't matter, the sword of the boy next to her was casting enough of a shadow. Suika would have seen him as well, and she'd be able to make things easier on him for passing notes.

Who'd been doing well? He thought to himself. He remembered seeing the sky nation boy, the one who'd argued with Kazuna, writing furiously. He nodded, then slipped into the shadows, timing perfect as always. He appeared for only an instant, not long enough even to identify, before slipping into the shadow of the other boy's sword, the exam of the sky nation boy in hand. He memorised the answers and copied them out once, before returning the test, placing a piece of paper with the answers before Kazuna.

Once back in the bathroom, he wrote out the answers again, this time jumping in front of Suika to place them down. Then he returned again to the bathroom, flushed the toilet, and walked out. The examiner gave him a suspicious look, "You took your time in there." He said, scribbling something down on a notepad.

One point against me. Shinjiro thought, But at least the exam's done. Returning to his seat, Shinjiro immediately scribbled the answers out again, taking the time to show just a little working.

Korah

Korah glanced down at the paper before him again. The questions were... hard to say the least. Most of them were so complicated it would have taken nothing short of a genius to answer them, but then again that wasn’t the real test. The real test was to see whether you could gather answers or not, without being caught.

“Netara Kusimoto from the Land of the Waves, fifth time, you and your team are disqualified, gather your teams and leave,” the instructor suddenly said as he pointed at a boy sitting a few rows in front of Korah.

“What...” the boy stuttered as he slowly stood to his feet. “You’re wrong, I didn’t cheat, I didn’t do anything!”

His teammates also began to voice their complaints as they stood to their feet. Their voices froze however as the instructor suddenly said, “Leave.” His voice was like ice, and the menace in his voice was more then clear as Korah felt a slight shiver work its way up his spine. The Wave team quickly gathered their things and turned to leave, while everyone else just kept their heads down, pretending not to notice the disgraceful exit.

Korah shifted slightly in his seat, his sword moving down his back. He suddenly froze as he saw something by Kazuna. For the briefest second Korah thought he saw a hand reach out of the shadows, but when he blinked it was gone. However a small piece of paper was slowly floating down to rest right in front of Kazuna. She paused for a moment, quickly hiding the paper in her hand as a small smile appeared on her lips.

Hmph, looks like someone has help Korah thought as Kazuna quickly began to scribble the words from the paper onto her test. It didn’t take her long to be done, and Kazuna soon put the piece of paper down by her test. “Twenty minutes left!” the instructor called and Korah silently cursed as he realized he needed to do something and quick.

Wrapping his cloak around him he quickly began to make numerous seals with his hand. Recall Jutsu! he thought as the paper by Kazuna suddenly vanished and appeared in Korah’s hand. Kazuna jumped as she saw the paper vanished, and began to looked around but thought better of it as the Instructor gave her a look. As she turned back to her complete test Korah slowly unfolded the paper and brought it out as he began to scribble down the answers. The Recall Jutsu wasn’t easy, it took a lot of concentration and a good amount of chakra. It was a time warp jutsu, and it allowed the caster to warp any object in eye sight. The bigger the object, the harder and more chakra it cost, and even bringing the small paper wasn’t easy.

Wiping a small bead of sweat Korah quickly finished writing down the answers as he put the paper back on his desk and quickly made the hands signs again. The paper vanished as he sent it over to Tezuka, praying his aim was right. He was a master at Ninjutsu, but some were even hard for him to do.

“Fifteen minutes!” the instructor called.

Korah just grinned as he set the pencil down. One test down, and only two more to go!

Cole~~

"Times up!" The instructor called out and everyone, or at least those few left, looked up from their tests.

"Now I hope your done, because now I have a few finishes words to give you. This test is not over, there is a tenth question you must answer. But first listen to me carefully," The man said with such authority everyone ears turned to full attention, "This final question, is the most important one, if you get it wrong you automatically fail. But you also can not take part in the chuinin exams, ever again."

Everyone in the room either gulped, or gasp.

"Now I will give you ten minutes to decided of you want to stay or go. You may not talk to teammates though, you have to do this yourself." And after that the man sat down and took out a book.

I knew the answer was yes for me and my teammates, i could do the same trick as before, or my other one, though that one was much harder.

So I sat back and looked around at the tense others.

Kazuna

She felt a sigh in relief as she saw the paper land softly on the desk and quickly she scribbled down the answers. Shinjiro was behind this, no matter how much she hated him, she had to give him props for this. The answers seemed to fit the questions perfectly, scribbled down in Shinjiro's cramped writing. But just as she reached the seventh question the piece of paper disappeared as if it was never there.

Frantically she looked around at it but realized how suspicious she was looking and returned to doodling on her test take quick glances to the sides. There was Korah, the piece of paper on his desk copying the answers out quickly. Cheater. And she thought he was the nice guy.

The only thought that occured to Kazuna was where exactly did Shinjiro get those answers from. For some odd reason, her interest in the matter disappeared as soon as she tried to figure it out.

"I give up! You can't expect us to complete this test!" A person leapt to his feet looking positively outraged. "I haven't been able to answer one question!"

"Kiba Hitsumitchi, fifth mark, get your team mates and leave." As soon as the feminine voice ended, there was the sound of chairs shifting and disgruntled sighs. The three left the room, the other two seeming more over shunning the one who had complained.

Okay new image for my character. Its basically the same... http://jiuge.deviantart.com/art/gin-71062900

Okay and this is long, mostly to get us to the second trial though. i just explain everything in this so here we GO!

Korah

Korah didn’t even bother to glance at his friends as the Instructor waited for the answer. Of course they were going to stay, leaving wouldn’t accomplish anything, and they hadn’t come all this way on nothing. Some of the other teams in the room weren’t feeling the same way to say the very least, Korah couldn’t blame them however. The very thought of never being able to take part in the exams again was truly frightening, and for many it was a chance they were not willing to take.

One by one teams stood up and began to leave, disappearing out of the door as they vanished, not even looking back. Korah just chuckled softly to himself, he felt sorry for most of them, but not sorry enough to try to make any of them stay.

“And the rest of you?” the instructor asked as he slowly looked at everyone else in the room.

No one moved, or said anything, so like always Korah decided to take the whole thing on himself. With a grin he leaned back in his chair and through his feet up on the desk. “I think you know the answer,” he said, “Were all staying, so what’s the question?”

The instructor didn’t say anything, a small smile slowly spread across his scarred face as he said. “Congratulations to all of you remaining, you have passed the test.”

“What do you mean...” someone asked, “What is the tenth question?”

“There never was such a thing,” the instructor replied, “Or I guess you could say that the two options were the question.”

“Wait...” someone else called, “What about the questions on this test? They were... pointless!”

“Hardly,” the instructor replied, “It was made to test the your information gathering skills. If you were caught and sent home, you weren’t even worthy to take the test. The test was meant to also test your whole team, it put pressure on each person to try and answer the questions, or at least find the answers without getting caught. These questions are to hard for any of you to answer, so most of you probably realized the truth, in order to pass, you’d have to cheat.”

Korah grinned as he heard Kazuna let out a snort of slight disgust. “The true test of course,” the instructor said, “was the tenth question. It took a true leap of faith to decide, and you all had to make the descision on your own without talking to your teammates. Which is something that will have to happen in the future, you will all be put into situations where you will not be able to talk to your team, and you must pick the best possible answer.”

A sudden crashed echoed in the room as a nearby window exploded in a shower of dust. Have of the kids in the room were to startled to even move but Korah was on his feet in an instant, ready for anything. To his surprise the person who came rolling through the window was a woman who gave them all a much to enthusiastic thumbs up as she called, “Good job at passing the first test, I am the examiner for the second test Anko Mitarashi! Now let’s go!”

No one moved, they all just stared in shock as Anko reviewed all the faces in the room, obviously she was slightly disappointed at the less then enthusiastic response. “22 teams... you were to easy,” she said as she looked over at the instructor.

He just grinned and said, “Don’t worry, I know you’ll take care of things and at least cut their numbers in half.”

Half Korah thought in shock, the second test would take out that many people!

“Well come on!” she shouted, “Let’s go!”

Everyone slowly stood up as they were all herded out of the room. Most people went back to their teammates to talk about the test, and what might lie ahead. “So how’d you guys do on the test?” Tezuka asked as Korah and Vera came sauntering over to him.

“Fine,” Vera said as she flicked her hair behind her face. “I answered all the questions... without cheating I might add.”

“Well good for you,” Tezuka muttered, “oh and thanks for the answers Korah, they came in handy.”

“No problem,” Korah answered with a grin, “but we all need to be prepared for the next test, I doubt it is going to be as easy as the last...

*****

A few hours later they all stood outside of a large gate. Behind the gate trees could be seen, and it was obvious that the wall was around some sort of forest. “Welcome to the stage for the second test,” Anko called as all the teams gathered up. “This place is known as area 44, or the forest of death.”

That sent a chill through the crowd as people began to mutter. “Calm down now,” Anko called with a cheery smile, “Some of you will die for sure, but it wouldn’t be much of a challenge without the possibility of death now would it.” Reaching behind her back she pulled out a stack of papers and quickly began to pass them out while saying, “These are waver forms you all must sign since some of you will die and we can’t be held responsible for that! Now the test, around area 44 are 44 locked gates, forest, river, and a tower in the center. From the gates to the tower is about 10km. In this test you will be allowed to use anything, all your weapons and jutsus in an all out, no rules scroll battle. You will be fighting over these two scrolls,” she said as she drew out two, a white and a green scroll. “These are the heaven and earth scrolls, now there are 22 teams here which means 11 will get the heaven scroll and the other 11 will get the earth scroll. Your mission, is to make it to the tower with both a heaven and earth scroll, you will have five days, or 120 hours to complete this task. Half of you will fail. Now there are two ways to get qualified, first you don’t make it to the tower with both scrolls before time is up. Second you loose a teammate, and third, you look into one of the scrolls. But don’t let any of this get you down!” she said with a big smile, “Now turn in your release forms and each team will be given a scroll, then choose a gate and don’t die...”

Um DSF it was already said that the second stage would have three scrolls to use, not two. So if you could just edit that a bit to say three instead, and maybe drop it to 21 groups for that to fit as well, that would be good. Or we could just have that skipped and remember 21 groups, three scrolls to get, 7 max to go to the tower.

I grabbed my form quickly, and then set off to fill it in under the shape of a large oak tree. Some of these terms were ridiculous, like

We are not responsible for any sever liver damage cause by the throat crawlers

They were just strange. But I filled them out, and then met with my team to get the scroll. We got the Hell scroll, the team before us a Heaven, and after an Earth, (so we only have to add one name to the original ones.) then we went off to entrench 17.

"So strategy," Violet asked swaying, waiting to see which side I would fall on.

"Well we have to get the scrolls. And the faster the better. So first thing, we should cut across to the left, at an angle to catch the teams early. Hopefully they have a Earth or Heaven on them we can nab, if not, we can just hand over our second Hell if in trouble, or we eliminate and extra team," I said and began to polish my swords, Itachi doing the same. then we heard the warning bell, got ready and jumped into the forest. Immedietaly heading to the left diagonally, as fast as possible.

Hey so does any team out there want to fight mine? I think it could be fun, and it would be a great time to test our powers and grow with our characters a bit! So anyone?
