I had cooled off with the distraction. I did feel a little bad about messing up Comet's nose, but he got me good on my shoulder so I figured it fair.

"Hey man," I patted him on the shoulder. "Good job. You really got my shoulder."

He stared at me like I was crazy. "I just practically broke you're shoulder."

I shrugged, which was a bad idea. My shoulder really started to hurt. "Well I nearly broke your nose. We're even."

He still looked like he didn't like me much. I could tell he wished he messed me up a little more. But I was content for now. Nothing like a good fight to bring people together.

It was then I realised that Lindy was getting angry with some others in our group. I listened in to see what was happening.

Maeve

"Lindy we noticed you." I assured. "Now why don't you two join our group?"

Lindy seemed to be considering it, but the other didn't look too convinced.

i stared at them for a while before breaking up to a sigh...

"Well, we could join you guys but i prefer being alone but if you want, i could give you a hand or something with traps or something, you were attacked am i right?"

"Yes..." a boy i heard was name was Luis

"Well...i could lend you a hand... i got five spare daggers by my camp?"

"Ms. Midori, can we at least join with them? Its safer in numbers..."

i shrugged as i try to think about this... Their former camp is an hours walk from here and half an hour walk from the hot springs...

"i'm not sure...how about you guys go to my camping area...its much safer there and there is a hot springs nearby...plus whatever creature attack your camp won't be bother to go to mine..."

There was some nods from the group...

"So what do you say, stay in this cave you call camp or go to mine?"

I didn't feel very good about this 'Ms. Midori'. We didn't know anything about her, she could have been the one who destroyed our camp. But everyone else seemed to trust her.

"But we're protected here. If it rains we have a dry shelter." I said, hoping everyone would decide to stick with the cave.

I stare at the guy who was at the back at the group. I can sense a little bit of suspiscion but i shrug it off.

"if you're going to stay here, then fine...i did not came here to force you guys. As for shelter i had already built some shelter by the beach and i found a safe haven near us when we were seraching right Lindy?"

Lindy nodded weakly.

"But if you would stay here then fine...just go to my camp if you need any help for food or something...so what do you say are you coming with me or not...? And if you are anxious about these things, don't worry, i might figure a way to blocked them."

They still continue to stare at me.

"What? do you think a girl like can't handle these stuff. Believe me, i've encounter much worse than this."

He didn't entirely trust this Miss Midori. Maybe the monsters hadn't attacked her because her camp only had two people, he didn't know. But traps alone didn't stop things that could do that kind of damage. Not mundane traps, in any case.

Besides, whatever shelter she may have built, surely it was for no more than one, maybe two people. Not a whole host like they had here, what with the eight of them plus a few others who seemed to be keeping to themselves more than anything else.

Still, it was more separated from the forest than they were. Luis thought about it for a few moments, then shrugged, "Maybe we'd better stay here for a few days, until we've built a big enough shelter near your camp. Then we can move our stuff there." He looked around at the others, "What d'you guys think of that?" Really, he didn't care what most of them thought. It was Kate's opinion more than theirs that mattered to him.

I didn't like the idea of leaving the cave, because it felt safe in a way, that the outdoors, never would be. It was ridiculous, ofcourse, a cave is just as vulnerbale, if not more than the outdoors, in this case. Still, Luis's opinion seemed reasonable, it was unlikely she could accomodate us, at this point.
"Well, I don't know about you guys, but I'm with Luis, her camp can't be that developed yet, let's stick around. "
I glanced around to see what everyone else thought of that.

Chris

Alexis didn't want to move out of the cave, and I had to say I agreed, the cave offered a type of protection that the outdoors, could not, also we'd only just met "Miss Midori". Luis and Kate , had both agreed we should stick around, it was up to the others now, but we were staying, here.
"Do you trust her, Ms. Midori, I mean?" I whispered to Alexis.

there were already a few people who agreed to stay in the cave. Suit themselves, i did not even came here to look for them. I was only supposed to go for hunting and picked up more branches not gather a whole group.

"Come on, guys, stay with us." Lindy tried to insist them "I've been with her for some time and there was no danger to our camp. Besides Ms. Midori is much more than you know."

I smiled to that. At least i have some ally.

"SO what say you? Are you going to come with me or not? I'll be leaving anyway if you don't guys come..."

"Ms. Midori, about Amamori?" Lindy whispered.

"Oh she's fine, Lindy, I promise you that she is safe by the campsite. There is food and water for her anyway."

I thought about this Ms. Midori's offer. It sounded like she had a pretty good camp set up and I heard her say something about food. My stomach growled as if in agreement with me thoughts.

"I'll come with Ms. Midori." I volunteered.

"Fine." she said. "Anyone else?"

I was moving over to stand with Lindy when someone grabbed my shoulder, it was Maeve.

"Are you sure James?" she asked. "We don't know anything about her."

"I'll be fine." I assured. "Plus, I still don't think ol' Comet over there is too fond of me. Best I stay out of his way for a while."

She stepped back and let me go. I stood next to Lindy. She stepped away a little, probably remembering me from the plane.

Alexis

"I'm not sure." I wispered to Chris. "Maybe we should stick around here for a while."

"Okay." he agreed.

"I'm going to stay here." I told the group.

"Me too." Chris announced.

Maeve

I could have gone with James to join the others, but it seemed as if Ms. Midori had everything under control around her camp and my fire powers were more use here. Plus, I hardly could say I trusted her yet.

"I'll stay here." I decided.

Now just a few others had to decide.

well, at least someone finally could come with me...i wonder how long do they have to take? ANd what is all that suspiscious stare...seriously, i just don't get them.

"Ms. Midori, are you sure there's food...?" the boy who joined me asked eagerly.

"Yeah, there is still some stock on my container. If its all gone, i could always fish or hunt. The fishes hear are delicious."

I stare at the rest waiting for an answer.

"So anymore?"

"Come on, we should go now. I'm hungry!" the boy growled and after a thought, i gave up with them. How long do i have to wait?

"Okay...if no one else is coming, i'm going." i announced impatiently. "Come on, Lindy...lets get going..." i stare back at them.

"And if anyone wants help, i'll just be by the beach." i waved them goodbye and i walked out of the jungle.

* Amamori was already wide awake when we came back. SHe was happily eating the two fishes i cooked for her. SHe waved us a sweet greeting and lindy rushed to her by the shore. I was happy she was safe. Staying around a small built gate.

"SO this is your camp?" the boy said as he walked forward and i stop him instantly.

"Walk by the shore line..." i announced.

"WHy?"

"I may not have mention it but i sense that there are creatures around. Therefore, i buried over three dozens daggers under the sand if they manage to pass any of my traps by the forest entrance."

"So i guess you're right, you do have traps. So you mean there are dead things there?"

"What else can i say." i said as i walked by the shore, "I had encountered much worse than this and as for those things, i'll check them tonight."

Ms. Midori's camp was interesting. And well guarded.

Lindy handed me some fish and I practically swallowed it whole. It was delicious. I sat back against a log, keeping my distance from Lindy. I didn't want another repeat of the plane incident.

"So who's this?" I asked, gesturing toward the girl sitting on the sand.

I stayed behind, I didn't trust her,but I was starving. Literally, starving. It was still day time outside,so I said :
"We NEED to find food, I don't know how, but it's useless to stay here, now, we need food! I don't know about you guys, but the last time I ate was almost two days ago."
I looked at the people around me, waiting for a reply.

"Me and Comet are good at hunting." I said, still thinking. Comet had some deisire to go to Midori's camp, and I sort of agreed. There wasn't a lot to do in a cave; we could be trapped if that thing (whatever it actually was) attacked us. I didn't like being cornered.

Okay, so we had an objective behind getting food; checking out the camp. Kill two birds with one stone, I say. Makes things easier. And we (with out cat intincts and all) could probably hunt better than most. Win win.

"You guys hunt?"

"And we're hunted." Comet muttered under his breath. I jabbed him in the side, shut up, Mr. Lets-punch-people-like-a-mature-adult.

I'm not an adult, I'm a mutant.

"Yeah, we used to trap woodland creature when we got bored." Or when about fifty different governments had forced us to run and eat said woodland creatures. "And we'll probably find some fruit while we're out."

Comet and Star seemed pretty confidant that they could hunt. I didn't know about that, after all they were only human. And I knew I could hunt. Being a werewolf helped with that. But I couldn't really go without explaining how I would be able to hunt to them.

"Be careful." Maeve told them.

I sat down on the hard cave floor and shivered a little. It was getting late and the temperature was dropping. And caves were never the warmest places.

We were all anxiously waiting for Star and Comet's return. It was dark outside, now, and also very cold. I shivered, slightly.
"Meave could you get us some fire please?" I asked, as I wrapped my hands around my body.

Chris

It was really cold, and I was glad when Kate asked Meave for fire, because I thought I would freeze to death.

"Do we have any fire wood?" I asked through chattering teeth.

We looked around. "No.." Chris stated at last.

"Well let's go get some." I said.

We all went out and gathered a few branches near the cave. Once we had them stacked in a nice pile on the ledge I lit it and we all huddled close.

"I wonder what's taking Comet and Star so long." I said once I had warmed up.
