Teens in the Jungle

The leader hesitated for a moment, but eventually reached out and shook Star's hand. Somehow that one simple act completely calmed me down.

"So...ready to explain?" I said loudly.

The leader turned to me and nodded, but did not leave out the annoyed glare.

Alexis

I forced my eyes open again. It hurt, a lot. Everything hurt, my left arm especially. Probably broken, I thought.

"Alexis, hold on. It's okay. The battle's over." Chris wispered in my ear.

"Don't worry about me." I mumbled, closing my eyes again.

"Hold on, Alexis. Hold on." Chris kept saying.

My head throbbed, why hadn't I noticed this a moment ago? I nearly let myself lose conciousness again when agonizing pain shot through my left arm. I screamed loudly and managed to use my right arm to clutch my left. My hand hit something hard, a spike it seemed.

"What's wrong?" someone asked.

"Dragon claw." an unfamiliar voice murmered.

Dragon claw? In my arm?! "Get it out!" I screamed.

"Shhh." the unfamiliar voice said. I felt a cool hand on my arm and suddenly I was unconcious.

Alexis isn't dead, just out for a while. And also, the 'unfamiliar voice' I'd say is the dragon leader person. I'm going with the thought that dragon claws are poisonous or something, but the leader is helping and someone is healing her maybe. I don't know, just don't let Alexis die.

And also, I'm contemplating letting Maeve die. Three characters is too many and she could have easily just been killed in the battle. Unless someone else wants her.

I can control Meave...i am not anymore controlling Lindy anyway...


Iniyuki


I rested to where i sat down watching a man appearing all of the sudden treating Mori's unconscious body. I closed my eyes to rest and let my body recover slowly. I looked at a reflection and saw my eyes back to normal.

I sigh in gratitude thanking that i am back to myself. I walked down with the pain appearing to my legs and walked slolwy watching at the dead bodies of the beast.

I walked over avoiding the sight of the leader until i saw Alexis unconscious with two people beside her. They held her arm and i moved forward trying to get any remaining strenght to put a dagger before them.

"Leave ehr alone, she had enough..." i warned them but they did not seem to respond. I repeated louder and they glared at me.

"You don't know what you're dealing. We need to pull it out and extract the poison."

"And what if i don't believe you, i never saw you guys." i said with tense. They glared at me before they continued on what they are doing. My breathe was in gasp.

"I'll try to believe you but i won't leave her out of my sight. If you do something weird, i swear i will kill you."

Luis

The leader reached out and shook Star's hand cautiously, his eyes locked on hers as he spoke, "I assume you are the leader of this group, then." He said.

Star shook her head a little, "We don't really have a leader, do we, guys?"

Luis and a few of the others exchanged glances, and itwaw decided without speaking that Star was right. There wasn't any real leader here, everything had been decided through a sort of voting system, and anyone who had disagreed with the verdict of the majority had just done their own thing anyway.

The dragon's leader seemed shocked, "You mean to say that you didn't decide on a final decision-maker before you came to contest this island?"

"Contest?" Sputtered Comet, incredulous.

His sister silenced him with a look, before looking back to the leader, "Our plane just crashed here. We're not here by choice."

"Nevertheless," the dragon replied, "You are here. Which means someone wants you here. I suggest you find out who, and then make them get you off this island." His empty eyes swept over the group, "Do any of you represent families?" His eyes fell on Luis, then Kate, then Maeve, "Perhaps a relative of one of you three. A witch, fairy, or one of the Carrefour family. You, boy," he said, looking at Luis, "Why don't you ask your family to move you off?"

It sounded like a reasonable enough idea. But then, Luis thought, Camille did say that letting the dragons get control of this island would be a very bad thing. Luis looked the leader straight in the eye, "I think what we're all wondering," he said, "Is why you want this island so bad. What's on here that's so valuable that your king would kill for it?"

Iniyuki

"You were one of them right?" i looked actively at the two people who weretending Alexis' wounds as they try to take the poison out from her.

"What?" i asked back tiredly as i looked at Star shaking the leader's hand.

"You were one of the contest from the region where our king's bastard brother ruled are you. The one we heard as the tournament." he said with curiosity. I stare at him with a mixture of emotion as i pulled myself together.

"Why? What is it for you if i was one of them..."

"Nothing except very few people manage to escape it. Even the winners were not saved from the bastard's greed. Was it five that manage to escape?"

"Please, i don't want to talk about that. Just heal ehr already. i want to get some rest."

"Sorry about that but it's an honour to meet you. I'd heard on my kingdom that the contestants were combined with a dangerous spirit and the tournament was a place to test it." he explained but i tried to ignore his saying.

"Ms. Midori," i looked behind me and saw Luis and Star, "The leader wants to talk to you."

I gave a sigh before i went to them. I was introduced to the leader while i saw that some of his men were tending Mori.

"Iniyuki Midori," i said first as i offered my hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, must i say that-"

"Can you excuse for a moment" Luis interrupted, "You haven't answer my question yet. How come you wat to take this island? What does the king want it so bad?"

He looked at him before the leader nodded and said, "Because tehre is vast amount of power or in our terms magic stored in this island that it can generate one of our major towns for centuries. And why we wanted it is because the king's bastard brother also want to seek it as well. When we saw you coming here, we had thought you came from him but we were wrong and apologized for that." he replied.

Kate

"Well, not to seem rude, but we're not just gonna believe a bunch of strangers who just tried to rip our heads off."
I looked around and saw that people actually did believe him.
"Wait...are we goingto believe them?" I asked the group.

James

"So let me get this straight. You want this island for the magic that will power your city, but the kings brother also wants the island, and you thought he sent a passenger plane full of teenagers to crash here and steal the power for him?" I asked.

The leader thought a moment and nodded. "Yes, but we see now that we were wrong."

"An apology isn't going to do much. Here we've got Alexis injured and who knows if she'll recover, and if anyone else noticed, Maeve hasn't been seen for quite a long time. She could be dead, or horribly injured somewhere. Do you think an apology is going to help that?"

The leader glared at me. None of these dragon guys seemed to enjoy my rant. Oh well, they deserved it.

"So I see were aren't going to believe them." Kate chimed in.

"I believe them." I said. "I just think this could have been handled in a better way."
