What a day. People hurt, crying for their families... Total confusion. I was exhausted. We had just ended putting the tends straight. Almost everybody was near the fire and the tends waiting for something. Something we didn't know what. I gave some silvesr fruits to them and laied on the sand and started crying. I never cry. Never but my dad, my mom and my brothers... all of them were in my head.

"How bad is she hurt?" I asked as James set Maeve on the sand.

"She hasn't woken up since we crashed. I don't know what's wrong with her."

I looked at her head, trying to remember stuff that my dad taught me when he worked as a nurse in the local hospital.

"All I know about head injuries is that you don't go to sleep once you've hit your head. If you do you can slip into a coma."

"Is that what you think?" James asked angrily.

"I don't know what to think. That's all I know. She might even be bleeding into her brain for all we know." I knew I wasn't helping the situation, but it needed to come out.

"Whatever Shorty," I heard him mutter. I felt my anger rise.

"Don't. Call. Me. Shorty!"
"Oh please don't tell me you're archaeologists."

"Do you have a problem with archaeologists?"

"I'm a time traveler. I laugh at archaeologists."

"Sorry, sorry." I said, remembering the last time I made her mad. That girl's a ball of fire.

"You better be." she growled.

I turned to the rest of the group, and looked at Maeve.

"Anyone know anything?" I asked.

Alexis

I stayed sitting on the log, sifting through the medical training I had at the last foster home. I didn't know much about head injuries, just what that small angry girl had said.

Hopefully someone else knows.

Concerning Maeve. Someone should take her, I can't because I already have 2 characters but I kind of want to keep Maeve in. If no one else wants her, I could take her if thats allowed. But yeah, someone should want her.

heres her profile:
Name: Maeve (MAYV)
Age: 17
Grade: 11th
Species: half fire-fairy (she does not have wings, but she does have slightly pointed ears)
Appearance: about 5'4, which is actually a bit taller than your normal fairy, and slim; has red hair and amber eyes; is a bit tan; has moderate curves appropriate for her size (I will post a pic soon)
Personality: a compassionte girl with a mean protective streak in her; has been known to be aggressive, but only when provoked with a reasonable offense
Other: is quite clumsy and up for love (past will be *hidden* until further notice)

*You're allowed tp have up to 3 characters, if you want her you can take her. Three characters is a lot, though, it's up to you, if you feel you can handle it you can have her.*

Apparently, he was a little embarrassed about having saved her. Could it have been modesty, or just a fear of being noticed? "Well, uh..." What, do I just tell her I jumped through a fire to pull her out of the plane? I don't want to sound like I was trying to be a hero.

"Hey!" Someone called out to them, "The campsite's that way! We've already decided. Could you two do something useful and pick up the tents and follow us?"

Kate looked angry, but Luis was relieved. Now he wouldn't have to explain himself to her. At least, that was how he saw it. On the other hand, he now had to repack the tent he'd started working on. It didn't take to much time, and Kate waited for him anyway.

"You were saying?" She said.

"Yeah, well...any decent human being who knew someone was still alive in there would've gone in to pull you out." He started.

I looked up at him. He looked embarassed. That's when everything clicked into place.

"May be, thanks all the same ...for saving me I mean."-I said.

He looked at me,startled:

"I never said I saved you, how did you-"

"It wasn't hard to figure out, but I can see that you're way too modest and hate to be the centre of attention so I'm just going to change the topic..."

It was the least I can do, after what he had done.

"So what do you want to talk about, or would you prefer silence, so you can space out on me, again."- I teased, as I waited for his reply.

Chris:

Everyone was gathered around Meave, the unconscious girl, when we got to the camp. She was the only one on the island who hadn't woken up. Appearently, her injury was a little more serious.

I walked up to that guy, James. He seemed concerned as he knelt next to Meave:

"How is she getting along?"I asked.

He answered:

"It seems serious, we don't even know if she'll make it."- He said. He tried to look like he didn't really care, but he couldn't keep the emotions out of his voice.

"How are YOU getting along."I asked.

He looked up startled.

**Gaaaah, sorry about that. I had a deadline coming up and my brain has been melted because of my last class.**

~Comet~

I crossed my arms over my chest, so she wouldn’t see that I was trembling. Touching and me didn’t go very well together at all.

“What?”

“So you actually want to do something ‘cause that chick told you to?” I looked around, listening for anybody that might’ve heard her. If that Joanne chick hadn’t started giving orders, I probably would’ve done something anyway, but I don’t like being told what to do. It brought back bad memories.

"How are YOU getting along?" Chris asked.

I looked up at him, a little startled. I hadn't really considered myself in this situation. I'd been a little over-worried about Maeve. I hadn't even talked to her much.

"I'm fine." I said, trying to stay cool. "It's just, it would be pretty bad if she died."

"Yeah, it would." Chris agreed.

"So do YOU know anything about medicine or head injuries?" I asked.

Alexis

More people were gathering around Maeve.

I remembered something that could tell us if she'd make it or not, but I wouldn't want a whole lot of people around when I checked. It wasn't something most people could do.

The mental battle raged. Save the poor girl, or let her die.

yeah 3 is a lot. Which is why someone else should take her. AND SOMEONE SHOULD!! please. :D
But I can try to take her if no one else wants her at all. She can just remain unconcious until then.

*Okay ,I have 2, but I'll try take her, if I can't handle it, someone else has to take her and if not well...we'll try keep her in the storybook for as long as we can*

Chris:

"No sorry, not really"- I answered James's question. Then everything went blank for a moment and I saw a vision like the one I had seen before we crashed. This time it was Meave, she would live. I could see it.
"She WILL be fine though."- I said.

At the same moment, her breathing became even and she slowly opened her eyes.

Meave:

I opened my eyes slowly and saw a group of people around me. It was all a blurr, the plane crash, the pain...

I became aware at my surroundings and saw people with concerned faces looking at me.
"What are you people staring at?' I asked, slightly annoyed.
It was kind of obvious, they were staring at me of course.

"Well, long story short: The plane crashed and you passed out so I carried you out and you just woke up." I explained.

"Woah. So where are we?" she asked, a little dazed.

"We don't really know." Chris explained.

"Yeah, we're trying to set up a camp with salvaged stuff from the plane and other things we find in the jungle."

"So we're completely alone out here?" she asked.

"As far as we can tell." I said, just fully realising the intensity of that fact.

Alexis

Maeve woke up. She was fine. And I was relieved. I was safe for a little longer.

I followed the group to our new campsite which was under the shade of some large jungly looking trees just barely in the cover of the jungle.

if you feel you cant handle her i'll take her.

He seemed even more embarrassed now, although really that was a mask to hide his horror at the fact that she was noticing that he was tuning out of the real world a little too often. He'd have to keep 'family conversation' to a minimum on this island, by the looks of things.

"That whole thing's...hard to explain." He said defensively, "It's a genetic thing."

"What?" she laughed, "Your family just spaces out at random times?"

"Well, not really. Like I said, it's hard to explain." He looked around himself on the island, "Do you have any idea of what we're going to do now? I mean, are we going to try to get off this place or what?"

He was such a curious person. I stared at him for a second but then I let it go. If he didn't want to discuss it, I wouldn't pressure him.

Do you have any idea of what we're going to do now? I mean, are we going to try to get off this place or what?" -He asked,

I laughed a little at that one.

"Yeah, I suppose we could.Any bright ideas?Because I'm not much of a swimmer...sharks bug me,too."- I stared at the ocean in front of us. The full impact of what had happened was slowly sinking in. It brought a sort of heavy feeling in the atmosphere.

I looked up at him as he began to say something.

Chris:

Meave had finally woken up and seemed dazed by all of the facts that we thrust upon her. I looked over at Alexis. She was sitting on a log. She looked up,too .She seemed relieved that Meave was awake, too. That was natural I suppose.

Meave:

*You can have her if you want her Lauren. *

I stared at them. It was a lot to take in as you could probably imagine. We were all alone on this island. I pinched myself to check that I wasn't dreaming. I wasn't.
I looked up at James and Chris:

"How are we ever going to live?"

*like I said I'll take her if you don't want her =)*

James

"How are we going to live?" Maeve had asked.

I thought about that for a minute. How were we going to live?

I looked down the beach to where the campsite had moved slightly into the jungle.

"Okay, up we go." I said as I picked Maeve up off the sand.

"What are you doing!?!" she struggled in my arms.

"Chill out, the cmapsite just moved a little and I'm not completely satisfied with your health to let you walk." I explained. "Come on Chris."

The three of us headed to the new campsite to figure out what we were all going to do about being on this deserted island.

Alexis

I wanted to just sit on another falled tree or log or something. But no. As soon as I got there I had a tent thrown at me and was forced to help put it up.

"But I've never put up a tent before." I argued. "I'll screw it up."

"I'll help you." someone said, laughing a little. "Tents aren't too hard."

* I want her! For now. I'll see if I can handle it.*

Meave:

Being carried around by random people, even if they HAD saved me was not something I was enirely satisfied with. It just made me feel uncomfortable. I glared at the floor as James laughed. Hilarious. Especially in the situation that we've found ourseleves in.

"Gosh we should like...make a sign, you know on the beach, one of those huge S.O.S. once ,out of rocks!" Not the most brilliant idea but still.

Chris:

I eyed the Alexis girl as she complained she didn't know hot to put up tents.
"I'll help you."- I said. "It's not that hard."
She looked up. I smiled a little and I said: " But let's get a move on,or we'll be left behind. Here, need help with that?"
I took the tent from her as we caught up.
