*XD. I like that:
"I am the lightning spirit, your soul and mine are entwined now, so try not to die."
Nice Bolt!

Alyse~ Ice

Alyse waited for something to happen. Korah was concentrating on getting the knife to do something. "Don't strain yourself," Alyse said, with a sarcastic raise of her eyebrows. Korah rolled his eyes. "Maybe if 'Gloomy' here weren't breathing down my neck I'd be able to do something!"

He sure was loud and hot-headed sometimes. "Really," Alyse said, her voice serious. "I wasn't trying to offend you. Just don't concentrate. I just thought about ice, and then it began snowing and stuff. Just think about metal. Maybe a metal grate... or a metal pillar...?"

I hope I got Korah's personality right. Since Alyse and Korah know each other, wan'a say they went to the same school or something?

Evan-Lightning~~

I ran through the town and found Alyse and Korah.

"hey guys." i said smiling as usual.

"hey" i saw Alyse saw as she stared at Korah.

"so." i said. " i got lightning, how about you."

"cool, i got ice" Alyse said. "Korah got metal."

"that explains the knife, i think." then i sat down. I then tried to do an element as well. I thought of storms, of thunder of circuits. then suddenly my hands started to glow. I got up and screamed in excitement. "look i got my element to work."

Alyse~ Ice~

"Whoop-dy-doo." Alyse chuckled. "I got mine to work a while ago, while you were all still tensely waiting to find out what element picked you. But Korah"-- Alyse jerked a thumb towards Korah-- "over here can't get his element to do anything. Isn't that right?"

"Shut up." Korah snapped, and stared at the knife again.

"I told you not to force it!" Alyse crossed her arms over her chest, and turned to Evan. "You're lucky you got a cool element. Mine is so... weird."

"Hey! I heard that!" Her element yelled.

"Shut up," Alyse said out loud. She looked at Korah's and Evan's questioning eyes. "Sorry... I think I'm going insane."

She lay her back down on the ground, and thought of whimzical snowfall. Then the little flakes began spiralling down as if out of now where, landing on her eyelashes, brushing against her cheeks. It had been so long ago that her heart had felt so light....

So what's the connection between us all? How do we know eachother by name so well?

Evan~~

"weird." i said. "no way, ice was in my top three wants for the elements, that with magma and lightning. Its so cool, you can just make anything from air."

"hey i'm cool to." i heard my element say in my head

"yeah, but i never said you were not, just ice was cool to, you were my top ice third magma second." i thought to him, or her or it what ever the spirit was.

"oh, well that's nice." the spirit said back.

Alyse heard Evan jabbering on about something. "That's cool," was all she said. "I wonder who got chosen next...."

Korah - Metal

Korah glared at the dagger before him, his eyes turning into mere slits as he tried to force... force... well something to happen. After a couple seconds he let out a heavy sigh of defeat as he threw the dagger a couple feet away in frustration. “Giving up already?” Alyse teased him with a grin.

“No... I just don’t feel like practicing anymore,” Korah said in a weak attempt to defend himself.

“Hey guys, look at this!” Evan called as he produced a small ball of energy and began to toss it from one hand to the next.

Feeling even more frustrated at the ease his friends were having with the whole thing Korah stood to his feet and hurried over to where the knife was. Stooping down he picked up the small blade before once again plopping down on the ground. Glaring at the dull knife he tried to reach out to it with his mind, willing it to bend, float, move, or at least show some sign that something was happening. But instead the dagger just sat there, in his hand, not moving an inch.

He heard Alyse laugh from behind him and turned to see her huck a snowball she had made at Evan. The ball of slush caught the young boy straight in the face, causing him to loose his balance in surprise before sprawling down on his back. “Bingo!” Alyse whooped with a mischievous grin as Evan slowly crawled to his feet.

“Bad move,” Evan growled with a playful smile on his face. Raising a finger a small little ball of energy formed and he hucked it at Alyse, who slid out of the way as if she were on ice. The two began to laugh as Evan through a couple more energy balls and Alyse once again tossed a few snow balls hi way,

“Off all the bad luck,” Korah darkly muttered as he glared at the iron blade. “Why won’t you do something!” he begged it.

Maybe because you haven’t even asked me for help! a sharp voice suddenly said.

Startled Korah nearly dropped the blade as he asked out loud, “Uhh... is that you element?”

Of course it is you fool! the voice, one of a slightly older woman, snapped back. And don’t talk out loud, I can hear your thoughts, plus you look like an idiot if you speak out loud when no one is around you!

Feeling slightly flabbergasted at the sharp rebuttal, Korah asked. So... you’re the element thing! Well good, cause I have been waiting for you, now help me do something cool! I don’t want the guys over there to think I can't control you or something.

Control me! the voice said in utter shock, Well I never... how dare you speak to me in such a way! Really! You plan to control me do you! I’ve never been so insulted in my life! Really, such an uncouth youth you are!

Excuse me! Korah snapped back, feeling very frustrated with the voice. You are inside of me, and therefore you have to do what I say! Now help me bend the damn knife

Do it on your own! the voice yelled back, And don’t bother talking to me, unless it is to apologize for your rude behavior!

“You have to do what I say!” Korah yelled, to angry to even think anymore. No voice responded to his yell however, and as he clenched his fists in frustration he turned to see Alyse and Evan eyeing him with looks of confusion.

“Still have trouble?” Alyse asked sarcastically.

“Oh shut it,” Korah muttered darkly as he plopped down on the ground and once again began to glare at the knife. He was going to move it, even if it was the last thing he ever did!

~Melody~
Melody stared around in wonder. She could have sworn the hall had held nothing more than dust mites - until a moment ago. Now it all sparkled, shined. It was full of life and something was extremely wrong. She glared through the double doors into an oriental garden. In the centre, a fountain gurgled and splashed, butterflies tumbled. It all made her extremely angry. What displeases you, child? asked the voice. "Show yourself!" she shouted. "I want to see you!" Melody stared at the fountain, more precisely at the bench. He would probably be old - she knew he would be male. Lets see, a beard that touched the ground, wizened, covered in wrinkles and wearing some sort of toga. And he was there. She glared at him. He hadn't appeared, he had been there - always. His legs were too long, his feet shouldn't touch the ground. They didn't. "Well..." Melody said, unsure.
She took a deep breath. "You said you want me to be happy - indirectly, but you did - and I'll tell you what. SHOW ME !!!" the wizened man shrank back, but she could see he wasn't really scared. More shocked at her directness.
Slowly she moved towards him, then she sat down on the bench at a prudent distance. And everything disappeared. She was in a small room, sparse rugs covered the gray, bleary stone, it felt cold and damp and the warmth of an oriental climate had left her. The little man stayed. "Youre still here." She said. Then she noticed he was crying. Maybe I was a bit to harsh with him... She thought. He is only a tiny, old, wizened man. Rubbish! thought some independent part of her. He is what you told him to be - live with it! But he is old... and he was. I have lived here as long as I can remember. I have no mother, or father. I have waited for one of the chosen, but they would not come. Nobody ever came. When you came - you cannot imagine my ecstasy no, my immense joy. At last! You have been chosen, I feel it. But you must know, so am I. When you take over your element, I will die. Please take it, I have no other wish, I need to die for my soul to become whole again. In the old days, the carriers of the elements lived in solitude, holding the world together as did every one of their companions. They had no friends. He turned around, and Melody realized it had been him who had been talking. In the sigh of the wind outside and - the suck of the ocean against the pebbles, the crash of the waves, the agonized cry of the cormorants. She blinked, and looked around. Please. He said, looking her directly in the eye. It is all a dream, it is not real, but I love this apparition, please let it be my last. He smiles at her. You have a pure heart, Melody, use it well. Then he cupped his hand, and a spinning orb appeared. He funneled it through his fingers, Melody leaned forwards, and it slipped into her head. In agony, she looked at the old man. He smiled. Don't cry said the waves. You must find the others if you don't want to end like me. He opened his hand, and waved it in a circle. A doorway appeared. She looked at him questioningly. No matter said the wind, I am part of the cosmos now, this body does not exist. His eyes crinkled as he smiled. Now go. Melody cleared her throat, this was a place of silence, but she had to speak. "Thank you" she whispered. " I will go now." Then she stepped through the doorway, and turned around to see him dissolve into space. The strand stayed. Your element is water. Said (seemingly) the cormorant with a twinkling eye. Use it it well. Then it flew away. Melody stepped out of the door again, and onto the sand. All an image, not real she thought. Quickly, she ran down to the waters edge, and picked up a handfull of water. As soon as it touched her hand, it stopped flowing, and nestled there, taking on an no particular shape. She felt something stirring in her chest. I will teach you a trick, since you are so amazed by pretensions. "Who is there?!" shouted Melody. She turned abruptly, but there was no one to be seen. I'm in your head, silly. said the voice. It was young and spirited. Now, you see the water in your hand, you feel it? It is an illusion, not real, but I will show you what you can do with it. With practice you will also manage it with real water. Lift it to your face. Do see how the light shines off it? It could almost be alive. It is alive... And it was. It stirred, and was a mouse, with long whiskers. It raised it's nose and sniffed at her wrist. She felt the element use her powers, she felt how. Now you try, she said. Slowly, lifting her right hand, she made a cup over the water not strictly necessary, but it gave her room to think away from the water. A... bird. She remembered the old man. A cormorant. She lifted her hand and shaped the flow of the water. It was always inter coursing, but kept the shape perfectly. Then, setting it on her shoulder, and forbidding it to make her wet, she stepped through the doorway.

Ummm... sorry, too long I know, but I won't be writing in here that often, so I hope thats okay.

"Oh My God. Oh My God. Oh My God." was the only thing going through my mind as I walked into the temple.
I looked at the guy in the weird robe in front of me.
He looked at me back, as if he was waiting for me to do something.
"What?" I asked confused.
He looked down at his feet.
"Oh yeah. Sorry I forgot." I said as I bowed down towards the guy.
"Sidney. You have been chosen." he said.
I closed my eyes as I felt power surge inot my veins.
Then I heard a voice.
"Hello Sidney." she said.
"Ahhh! Who's that?!" I asked.
"I am your power. Your voice. We are one now. We will live togheter. And die togheter." she said.
"Okayy??? Creepy." I mumbled.
"Your power is soul." she said.
"Y-You mean I can te-" I began to ask but got cut off.
"Yes you can tell when a person is about to die. And talk to the dead as well." she said.
I was too shocked to say anything.
"You may leave now." said the Robe Guy. (robe guy..lol)

I looked around to find all my friends.
"Hey guys!" I said.
"Hey!" they all said.
"So what did you get?" Asked Alyse.
"Soul? What does that do?" she asked.
I began to answer but stopped mid-sentence.
I whipped my head around as I saw a clock go off in my mind looking at a cute little toddler walking on the streets.
5...4...3...2...1
When the clock in my mind reached 1 I saw the toddler get thrown into the air...and than fall in a heap.
I just stood there, tears streaming down my cheeks.
I hated my powers.
Hated them.

Alyse~Ice

Alyse's arm flinched up instinctively. "W-What's wrong?" She stammered. Seeing people cry made her nervous.

She looked over at Korah who's face was grave. He was feeling really bad that he couldn't get his power to work. "Hey, Kor, don't feel bad that it won't work... mine's alot 'lighter' than yours. You have metal for Heaven's sakes! Its really heavy. And maybe you need something more to work with. A building or something... maybe a friends...?"

fine, and yes there only a few people with powers, the characters that we have are the only ones. Also a note, the remaining elements will be used for the villains.
