Name: William "Will" Starr

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Personality: Will is a bit off-the-wall in the sense that he's completely unpredictable and is known to act...well, insane, for lack of a better word. He never seems to lose energy and has a great sense of humor. He's very strong in his beliefs and isn't afraid to stand up for them, despite what the consequences might be. He has a quick mind and an equally as fast tongue that helps him to get out of sticky situations that he seems to be constantly getting himself into. He's young at heart, though is capable of acting serious and knows where and when to do so, but it's easy to tell he's anxious to get back to being his normal self. He's not the brightest crayon in the box, but by no means does that make him stupid. He's a people person, and is a good judge of character and can easily tell what a person is like. He's understanding but isn't entirely sympathetic. He tries tries to be, but he just doesn't quite grasp the idea or concept of it.

Appearance: Will has messy dirty-blond hair that tends to stick out in every direction known to man. His eyes are a soft, comforting blue with brown rings around the irises that, if you look closely, hold a tiny spark of something that, if you glimpse it, you can tell that he's not all right and there. He's a bit taller than most others his age, standing close to 6' 3" with long legs, and is slender in build. His clothing is usually darker in color, or dull muted colors. He has five cloth bracelets on his left wrist (Orange, Green, Blue, Yellow and Red) all also slightly muted in color. He wears no shoes.

Element: Cosmic

Power: He can control the energy around him and turn nothing to power, using it on himself or transferring it to others around him, though cannot make someone/himself stronger by use of the power, only drive away exhaustion and things of that nature. He can also control matter to a certain extent, though moving it is really about all he can do. He can also read the stars and is able to foresee events in the near future, though nothing specific to one person. And even this is very vague.

Weapon: Prefers the use of poison over anything, though uses a dagger occasionally.

Other skills: Is quick on his feet and flexible and agile. His long legs allow for fast sprints. And because of his power, he is able to give power to his legs and run longer distances.

Flaw: Isn't very strong physically, and can hardly lift a sword. He also tends to rush into things without thinking them through. His eyes are also very sensitive to bright lights.

Other: He's up for love, but please PM me about it.
Be the cartoon heart. Light a fire, light a spark. Light a fire, flame in my heart. We'll run wild, we'll be glowing in the dark.

Okay we may start now.

So you will begin at the temple. There you will be having a ceremony to receive your element spirit.

Also i forgot to mention the element will be like a second personality, they will be able to speak to you through thoughts. And sometimes when needed take over to fight.

*Pick air, pick air! and make a guy... we need more guys. XD We have, like, three guys and six/ seven girl I think. XD That's funny. Are these guys like monks? I'm just going to say they wear coloured robes, each representing an element spirit*

Alyse~

Candlelight filickered, making shadows dance across the temple ground. She closed her eyes, her head bowed before the element statues. She wondered which would choose her. "Alyse," A deep voice bellowed from the depths of the shadows.

Alyse dared to open her eyes and look up. The man who had spoke had stepped foward into the dancing light of the flame. She bowed lower to the ground, as much as she didn't want she. She rolled her eyes internally to herself, but didn't make a peep.

His robe was the colour of her eyes. Ice blue. She shuddered, the candles flickering as he walked by, some even extinguishing themselves on the spot, the smoke winding up to the broad ceiling.

"The spirits have chosen," He stopped before her, only one candle-- the one in his hand-- was still dancing on its wicker. "Ice has decided to choose you."

Alyse couldn'd hide her surprise. She'd thought maybe water, or fire, or dark... but ice? Was she really that cold-hearted? Didn't elements choose people based on how well they'll work together?

The man placed a hand on her forehead, and whispered a word. Suddenly Alyse felt mind-numbing cold rush through her body. A sensation like never before. She felt like she'd broken through the barrier of thin ice during the winter, and was now drowning in the depths of darkness.

But her eyes did not open. She felt someone talking to her. She didn't know who, but the voice was twinkling and light. Like icicles clinking together in the wind. "Today we have become one. We will never separate, and will fight together, breath together, die together."

"Am I having some sort of epihany?" Alyse opened on eye, and looked up at the gruff man looming over her. He smacked the back of your head. "Come one!" He almost whined. "This is serious! Don't ruin it. Yes, you're having an epiphany. Now its over, though!"

Alyse nodded, her face turning stolid again. The man returned to his rightful place in line with the other elements. "You are dismissed." The man waved a hand forward, towards the heavy doors that awaited her. Alyse hurriedly got up and turn, stumbling and catching herself, and running to get to the door quickly. She wanted to try out her new element.

I know its long, but if Bolt allows it, I guess this is kind of to help with setting and such.

Korah

Korah nervously twisted his fingers together as he cast a nervous glance toward the two large double doors that stood off to his right. The two large doors were carved out of solid oak, inlaid with gold threads that formed signs and charms, most to call on good luck and to ward against evil spirits. He stood outside in a large stone courtyard underneath a starry sky. The stone courtyard was covered in marble pillars covered in signs and symbols.

Milling around the courtyard were numerous other people, most of them young like him, and all just as nervous. Today was the day, the day that they all had been waiting for and dreading with a type of nervous anxiety. Today was the day of choosing, the day where they would all discover what their element was, what element had chosen them.

Korah didn’t even know if there was a specific element he wanted, one he craved more then any other. He figured he would be happy with almost any of them... if one chose him. In the back of his mind there was a sinking feeling, a fear, that just maybe he wouldn’t be picked.

A loud creaking sound suddenly echoed through the courtyard, causing everyone to jump and twirl around. They all stared as the large oak doors slowly parted, and out from the shadows a single figured emerged, cloaked in a pale robe. The figure stopped outside the door, and a small whisper escaped Korah’s lips as he saw her, “Alyse...”

She didn’t say anything, merely turned and hurried away, though Korah could have sworn he saw what looked like a faint trail of frost following her footsteps as she hurried along, though it disappeared to quick for him to tell. A loud voice suddenly rang out from the door, “Korah!”

All the energy seemed to leave his body as every eye the in the area turned to focus on him. Korah took nervous gulp as he slowly began to walk forward and through the double doors. As soon as he passed it the doors shut behind him with a loud bang. Moving forward Korah saw he was in a round chamber where numerous statues stood, each one representing one of the elements.

Stepping into the middle of the room he bow low as a gravelly voice growled, “Stand Korah, son of Kainthen, you have been chosen!”

Korah slowly stood to his feet as an old man came gliding out of the shadows. Hunched and wizened with age the old figure seemed to float across the ground as it came forward. In one hand he held a small purple candle that burned and flickered in the soft breeze, The old mans eyes were a soft purple and his head was top with a few wisps of white hair. As he came forward a gentle smile appeared as he whispered, “So Korah, the time has come. Metal has chosen you, it is strong and supporting, supple and fluid, piercing and sharp. It is able to take life, and build shelter to support it. It is yours...” The old man raised a hand, and one of his fingers slowly tapped Korah against the head. Immediately a cool yet warm feeling, like a smooth liquid, began to work its way down his spin as a soft voice whispered in his head. Hello child, I am pleased to meet you...

The voice and feeling slowly faded. Korah let out a small gasp and shook his head as the feeling slowly faded. “Go boy,” the old man whispered, “things have only just begun....”

Alyse~

Alyse stood outside the gates [Is that all right?] and stared at the ground beneath her. Frost was blanketing itself across the grass underneath her sneakers. She gave a small, amused smile. But still, she was not pleased by the fact that she had gotten ice. She clentched her teeth.

"Let's see what I can do," Alyse sighed, and clentched her fists, her eyes closed tight. She was shaking as she tried to get any sort of power to spew out of her. "Foolish child! The light voice whimpered.

"All right, who's there?" Alyse spun around. Only a bluejay hurriedly flew from the dense growth of a tree, up into the sky. "You aren't going crazy, hon, I'm just part of you now. She-- the voice-- said.

Alyse nodded. From a distance she heard the creak of the heavy doors. She wondered who was going next, and what element that Korah had gotten. She sat down in the grass. Her fingertips traced along the grass, a gentle layering of frost brushing against the lush green surface. Snowflakes practically danced and painted themselves across the ground.

Mesmerized, Alyse raised her head up, and from the sky, snowflakes began to fall around her, like the first snow. She smiled. Her heart actually felt light for once. It had been a while since she'd last smiled so care-free and child-like. Her face had become so gruff.

See? I'm not that bad!

Alyse rolled her eyes. Yeah, sure, she said to the ice element. She didn't hear the approaching footsteps.

okee, I know it disrupts the flow, but I live too far away from the big temple, and my parents don't know about my secret wish, so I have to make do with the small temple in the forest. Figuring the elements can be anywhere the chosen one is, this should work.

~Melody~
Rain poured through the leafy rooftop, stalled somewhat by the canopy, but still unpleasant as it drenched her from head to toe. "Damn!" Melody muttered, as she ran through the undergrowth. She had nothing to protect her, the water ran down her backbone and she felt the chilly mess in her shoes squelch with every step. At last she reached the clearing. Slowly, she looked up - was she too late? Had someone more able been chosen? Only one way to find out. Taking together all her bravery, she squared her shoulders and walked up to the big brass doors. It was the evening of choice, when the great elements chose the body in which they were, from then, to live in. She raised her hand and grasped the brass knocker, pulling herself together, she knocked.

Inside, it was cold, but at least there was no rain. Melody took off her shoes (a sign of respect), and walked down the wide hallway. On each side a statue of the according element stood sentry, seemingly waiting for someone of real importance to come for them. Come, said a voice. It was low, and didn't come from anywhere, it seemed resound in her head. The huge mahogany doors at the end of the hallway opened and, suddenly, everything sparkled with gold, life crept out of the adjoining room, a tiny hummingbird ( not at all native ) twittered around her head. Melody said the voice and, now it was one, not just an overrated , funny sounding name. Melody, you have been chosen.

Well I will just jump in with you LaReina… if that’s cool… and I hope this is all okay with you!

Korah - Metal

Korah stumbled out from behind the two large double doors as another name was called behind him. He felt confused, overwhelmed, and yet strangely at peace. He had been chosen by an element, so that was at least brought a small sense of relief to him. But metal… of all the ones he hadn’t even considered that metal would pick him. Metal just seemed like it would fit some big strong guy, better then him.

Letting out a frustrated sigh he absentmindedly looked around, trying to see if there was anyone he could vent his frustration to, or at least talk to for a bit. His eyes landed on Alyse who was a few meters away, sitting on the ground and staring up into the sky with a strange rapt expression on her face.

Odd he thought as he headed over towards her, wonder what she’s staring at

It didn’t take him long to see however. As he headed over he slowly paused, his mouth dropping open in shock as he realized it was… well, snowing. And not everywhere, just around Alyse in a small little circle. The girl looked to be just as surprised, but all slightly pleased by it as she watched the tiny white flakes spiral down before dissolving into little puddles on the ground.

“How are you doing that Alyse,” Korah whispered as he came closer.

She jumped a bit, surprised by his sudden appearance, but she gave him a kind smile as she once again turned her gaze up toward the heavens. “I’m not quite sure,” she replied, “And I think it is less me and more the element doing it at the moment.”

“Its beautiful,” Korah softly breathed, and he was slightly surprised to see his breath came out like a cloud. He realized that the temperature had dropped the closer he got to her and a wry smile touched his face as he asked, “Think you could warm it up a bit though?”

A puzzled expression touched Alyse’s face, but when she saw Korah slightly shivering she understood. “Well I can try,” she allowed with some sarcasm, “But I honestly have very little knowledge about what I’m doing still.”

She paused and began to concentrate, and slowly, bit by bit, the cool air warmed up, or maybe Alyse just stopped cooling it down. Feeling slightly better Korah plopped down on the ground beside her and let out a sigh of thanks. “So…” Alyse asked, casting a strange glance in his direction. “What picked you?”

Korah was surprised that for a second he almost didn’t want to talk about it, but the words just seemed to tumble out of his mouth anyway. “Metal,” he breathed, “Of all things, I got metal.”

The surprised showed on Alyse’s face as well. “Have you tried it out yet?”

“Hah,” Korah snorted, “haven’t really even thought about doing something. Let’s see…” reaching into his robe he pulled out a small iron knife. Eyeing it, like it could possibly be the bane of his existence, he muttered, “Okay, let’s give this a try…”

* that's fine shoo, i never said they had to be in the same place, but the elements hosts will meet soon after this, as for the balance*

Evan- Lightning~~

I looked around me. So many solemn and serious faces. That was really weird, this was a day to be excited over being chosen. But whatever, its their choice to be solemn and strange, or in this case normal.
i saw the gates open and Korah step out. h seemed happy i wonder what he got. To bad he didn;t say. Then i waited for the next call.

"Evan" i heard and looked up see a man staring at me alone. Of course i ran up as fast as i could. I made it into the doors and up the steps. I then awaited my element assignment.

"the spirits have chosen you." said a man in a blue colored robe. "lighting has picked you." then the man reached over and touched my forehead. He whispered a word then i felt something. A shock that made my hairs stand on end.

"hello." i heard a voice say mischievously in my head. It sounded male but i was not sure. "i am the lightning spirit, your soul and mine are entwined now, so try not to die."

"okay" i thought. I walked back out the door. I stepped on to the steps then shouted. "lightning." into the crowd. i heard a few disappointing groans and then ran down doing a victory dance.

Thou call'dst me a dog before thou hadst cause. But, since I am a dog, beware my fangs.
