KELLY

Shopping was really fun. I got this really cute pink blouse with see-throgh sleeves that reached my elbows and a denim skirt that reached my knees. Blood-free. Woohoo! And some other stuff, but the blouse and skirt were best.

As we headed to the next store (I love shopping) I noticed Cadence had hardly looked at her stuff. And hardly said a word. Actually, she was pretty much just following us around.

"So, what do you think of your jeans?" I asked, trying to strike up a conversation. She shrugged. "Is something wrong?"

"...No," she said, watching her feet. "Nothing's wrong."

"You sure?"

***************

I'l strike up a conversation between Kelly and Gary next post.

I decided I had decent clothes and told the girls to get me whatever they thought I'd look good in, giving them some of my money. My thoughts always had Damien mixed in them, but i tried to shake them out even if i didn't want to. Cadence seemed on the down side, I'd been paying attention to her thoughts a lot now a days. I was trying to decide if i wanted to start a mind conversation.

Cadence? I asked being as polite as i could while barging in on her personal thoughts.

Yes? She replied being short.

You don't really think nobody wants you here, do you? Why would you want to go home when you know there's a chance that the shadows could be there? I said attempting to reassure her that she was wrong.

While she was in H & M with everyone, I was sitting by a fountain somewhere else in the mall. The sound of water was calming and made me relax completely.

Cadence never answered, I didn't bother her again only wanting to help her feel more accepted.

I ran my hand under the chilled water, letting my eyelids close. Little flashes of Damien caught me by surprise, I sighed and opened my eyes.

Okay. So shopping was fun...except Candence seemed down.
She looked like she didn't want to be bugged so I kept my mouth shut.
"Kelly I'm going to try this on." I said referring to a very cute graphic tee.
"Okay." she said standing out the door.
"So..." she asked.
"Ye.ah?" I replied.
"What's up with you and Joseph?" she questioned.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Do you like him?" she asked.
I felt my cheeks turn red.
"I-I NO!" I said.
"Don't lie." she said.
"I don't know. I really don't know." I said.
And that was the truth.
I didn't know if I did like him or didn't

Damien~
Damien had ditched the guys long before, and was sitting by a peaceful founting sketching, when he heard someone approach.

He looked up from his aimless scribbles and saw Maribelle sitting there, her hand trailing through the cold water.

"Mari?" He said in his quiet voice. She looked up, surprised. "Oh, hey Damien!" She said cheerfully, though she looked like she was trying hard to keep something back. "Why aren't you with the guys?" She asked.

Damien shrugged. He pulled his hat off and shook his hair. He usually had his hat on so that it would hide his eyes. He'd known people who could practically know what he was thinking (without the power of mind reading) because his eyes were like an open book.

"Shopping isn't my thing," He answered simply and started doodling again

Maribelle

Damien had just shook out his hair, the first thing that caught my attention was his eyes. Even without using my power I could see more of his personality wrapping around his eyes.

When he said shopping wasn't his thing I couldn't help but laugh. He looked at me questioningly.

"Well, aren't guys supposed to hate shopping. I hear Gary and all of them got their shopping done in a second flat. But, I'm not one to shop either. If I have decent looking clothes I wear them no exception. I really could care less if they are brand new or 'the in fashion'." I smiled and looked around the mall.

As he was drawing he smiled, "well that's amazing, a girl that's not Gucci obsessed." He let out a chuckle. I was trying to see what he was drawing but, I didn't have a good sight of it.

"Hmm, what are you drawing?" I asked casually. My new hair was irritating me,there was one strand that would always be in my face. Every-time I pushed it behind my ear it would escape again, I would cut it as soon as I had scissors and some time.

wait what color are Damien's eyes D:
i remember the picture having grey ones, is that it?

Gary~~

After an hour had past we went looking for the girls. We found them in some very pink looking store of the name i did not know. they handed back my cards, and i noticed one was missing and made Julie return it to me. After that we went looking for Maribelle and Damien. We found them both at the fountain, talk and drawing. After that we rounded them up and we headed to my home. It was a 10minute drive to my place from the mall. And when we got there i got a dozen wows. Big shocker. Most ran into the house but Cadence, Maribelle and Damien held back walking.

"okay guys, the rooms are up stairs, out your stuff in the ones you wish, so long as the name Gary or Ballow isn't on the door. I hope you find them good. After that get changed into some bathing suits, cause pool party in 10."

RAVEN

I entered a room and set down my single shopping bag. I had gotten were some jeans (take a wild guess at the color), a few graphic Ts, a blouse, a two-piece halter neck swimsuit and sneakers. I didn’t like accepting gifts. They just felt… weird. Sadly, I had ended up with practically a whole new wardrobe, so I felt terrible.

There was a desk in the room, and on it, a key, a piece of cardstock with the words “This is ____’s room”, a ball-point pen, and a note saying “POOL PARTY: 10 minutes from arrival.” I scribbled a sloppy Raven on the sign, taped it on the outside of the door, and went back inside to unpack. Once I was done I slipped on the swimsuit. I tied my jacket around my waist as a cover-up and headed outside.

Kelly was right outside my door and smiling, wearing a pink two-piece with spaghetti straps and loose shorts over.

“Hey, wanna roommate, buddy?” she asked, elbowing me.

“Kelly, look me in the eye and ask that again,” I replied. She liked things to stay the same, so was trying to recreate what life was like before we had met everyone. I was sick of everything that had happened recently and just wanted to be alone, at least in my own room. She stared at me with wide eyes and asked, slowly,

“Do… you… want… to… be… roomies…?”

“I was being sarcastic. So no. I don’t,” I said, trying to get past her, but she caught hold of my arm.

“What’s going on?” she asked half-angrily. “You used to be my best friend. I could always count on you for a shoulder to cry on or whatever. But since we met everyone… is this Spencer’s fault? You’re becoming like this because of a boy?”

I hadn’t been in a relationship since I was sixteen. Yes, I lost control of all my defenses around boys I liked, but that wasn’t what she was talking about. I knew it wasn’t.

“Hey, you two coming?” Gary asked from down the hall.

“Yeah, just a minute,” I replied, and then turned back to Kelly. “I haven’t changed because of him. I’ve just realized something terrible. I don’t want anyone around me, ‘k? Not even you.”

Then I headed outside, using a tip I had learned from an actor to hide the steam coming out of my ears.

Gary~~

"CANNON BALL" I shouted as i plunged into the pool. A wave erupted from my spot and i swam back to the ladder. No one was really here yet but Cadence who was still in her streets and isolated on a lounge chair. Passing by her I went to the grilling area where a chef was setting up a bunch of food on the three grills.

"Remember, make mine rare." I said and snatched a bag of chips. Crunching one in my mouth I sat down and waited for the others. Finally i saw Julie and Kelly running over to the pool Raven sort of jogging behind them.

"Finally what took ya." I said and gave them a stern look.

*Yes, Damien's eyes are like grayish-brown.*

Spencer~

Spencer ran from his room all the way down to the pool, and did a slick dive in, not even a splash produced. He hadn't swam in so long-- two years at the least.

As he emerged from the water, he shook his hair out in front of Raven. He caught sight of Cadence, who was looking rather gloomy. He pulled himself from the pool, water dripping from his shorts. He kneeled beside her. "What's up Cad? We aven't swam in forever? What's wrong?"

"God!" Cadence explained, getting up in a huff. "We used to be like two-in-a-kind and now you don't know what's wrong?"

"Look," Spencer said, lowering his voice an placing a hand firmly on Cadence's shoulder to lower her back to the chair. Determined as she was, she planted her feet on the ground and crossed her arms over her chest, her eyes aflame. They were boring right into him. He was so happy ... she wasn't.

He looked at his bare toes. "If this is about mom and dad ...," he said, trying hard to keep his voice steady, he didn't want to get choked up, "you know we'll find them. We always will."

"Yeah, sure," Cadence said, grabbing a book she had on the table and storming back into the house where she would probably hide in her new room. Spencer looked at his feet. He had caused her all this trouble. If he'd just been there for her, instead of having fun with everyone she wouldn't be like this. He bit his lip to hold back the tears that he felt. He knew they were there, threatening to fall. "You aren't a real man, Spence. A real man doesn't ditch his twin sister for some other girl while she's in pain."

Spencer took a deep breath and pulled on a smile, though his green eyes were still trouble. "Cannon ball?" he said, casting an innocent glance at Raven before he splashed into the pool, creating not nearly as large of a splash as Gary had.

Damien

He brought his sketchbook with him-- no surprises there. He wasn't that much of a swimming fan. He still wore his over-sized brown sweatshit, but had his navy swim trunks on. He flopped down in a chair and began drawing something he'd seen in his dream.

But this one wasn't normal. He'd seen this from a ghost. The man had touched his shoulder, and all these images had come flooding in. He was no necromancer, but it didn't take a genius to decide that he needed to remember these. There was something about these images that spoke volumes. But what were they?

Hope I'm not copying Gary's 'dream journal' thingy.

KELLY

“So, want to be the first?” Gary asked, sitting down beside me as I let my legs dangle in the pool.

“Uhhh… sure,” I said, trying to think of a question. “Do you… have any hobbies?”

“Video games and sports and such,” he replied. “You?”

“I mostly read and stuff. Your turn,”

**Yep, your turn, bolt:)**

UHH… RAVEN, I GUESS.

It felt so good to be in the water again. The natural cold all around you, the wonderful silence, the feeling that you’re flying… I loved every speck of it. I could be completely alone with all of my worries, and I’d still smile on the inside when I swam. It was great. I dived to the bottom of the pool where it was only six feet instead of nine and clung to the floor.

I was just… me. No worrying about what others thought. No worrying if I would live to see tomorrow, or if I’d catch hypothermia and not be able to fend off shadows. I was free of reality in the water… until I ran out of breath and went gasping for air at the surface. Then I would just go back down. I thought it a peaceful cycle.

"You go to college." i asked

"Of course." she said this a bit snotty.

"Where." i asked.

"Well i haven't started yet but Harvard." she answered.

"Seriously. That's where i go."

"Really." she looked at me like she didn't buy it.

"Yeah your looking at a perfect SAT score, that i can show you, its here."

"You got a perfect score to."

"Hey don't attack so surprised. None of you really know me, so how can you make assumptions about me."

"Okay, maybe that was wrong. Its just you don;t seem like the-"

"The kid who started preparing for college sense ten. Who study endlessly in their room. Who blew off stuff for a good book."

"Well i was going to say the kid who paid attention in class instead of passing notes and throwing paper airplanes. But yeah."

"Well i wish i was the goof but when i was ten i got tutors instead and had to pay attention. But lets change the subject. I got a huge library in the house if you want to check it out."
