I waded in the pool with a red bikini, it was simple and I adored the color. I went under, deep into the water letting it fill my ears with pure silence. I smiled sending bubbles to the top, I followed them up and whipped my hair back into place. Damien was drawing as always.

I settled my self on the edge of the pool, kicking my legs back and forth in a calming rhythm. I watched and felt my legs go slow as the water forced against them.

Then pushed myself back under using the side of the pool, wanting to get back into the silence. Wanting anything to get away from all sounds. Wanting to be able to think without my mind being vulnerable. But, water couldn't change that. No matter how much i wished Damien didn't have access to my mind I just couldn't keep my mind locked all day.

I went up for breath as needed only residing back below the depths of water.

**I'm goin' camping! So I won't be able to post from Thursday until Late-Sunday. Just thought I should say something before I forgot...**

-KELLY-

"That'd be awesome!" I beamed. "So anyways... here's a biggie. What was your life like before we met you?

************************

Uhhhhh... I really think that Bolt should explain this. Like she said, it's a biggie.

"My life." I said. "A bore. I never really got to have friends. When your rich its to dangerous, you are always a target for kidnapping. So my parents kept me home schooled. Though it wasn;t always a bore. I got to travel to the things we learned. When we learned about Atlantis we went diving. Egypt we went and read holographics. Gladiators, dad bought the colosseum for a week. But still all the money in the world never replaced genuine friendship. I mean Ballow is cool and all. But he is to money obsessed. Then i finally got to meet people in school again. Harvard, i thought it would be great. College parties, cool buddies and hot girls. But everyone there took a look at me pegged me as a rich who bought their way in and was an idiot. Of course they were half right. i had no stuff other then grades, so i had to get in with some money. But i was still had a perfect SAT." I took a quick bite while i caught a second wind. "But i', actually glad i found you guys. You may not really think of this whole adventure as cool. But i love it. I feel like just by escaping we are fighting something bigger then ourselves. That we are helping the world."

DUH DUH DUUUHHH!!! MY 250TH POST!! WOOHOO!!!

KELLY

What to say... what to think... well, that's easy, the most logical thing to think is Annie met Daddy Warbucks and Daddy felt selfish and wouldn't let anyone play with Annie. But... my gosh that was deep. I didn;t really think him the deep type... wow.

Those thoughts and many, many more like them raced through my mind as I soaked everything he had said in. It really only took about five seconds to snap out of my daze, but it felt like a whole lot longer. I had to say something. Anyth-- well, no, it had to not be stupid.

"Wow."

Okay, that was stupid.

I hurried to say something that showed I had a brain.

"Uh, I guess you would want to hear my story?"

He shrugged but looked expectantly at me. That was a 'yep'.

"Okay... My family owned the Georgia state library, so I grew up around books," I said, amazed at how smoothly the words came despite my nervousness. "I've always loved books, since I was... born. It's in my blood. About three years ago the shadows took my parents and sisters. They didn't recover."

"You can recover?" he asked.

"Uhh... I think so. Or at least overcome it by a lot of luck and mind slash will power. I know Raven did, and surely someone else... uh, do you want me to finish my autobiography?"

"It's not really an auto, but sure."

"Then they took my best friend. And then they took my job. And then they ran over my dog. And then they stole all the marshmallows from my local grocery store."

"Ha ha ha," he said sarcastically.

"I ended up in foster care and finished highschool, then I went out on my own, became roommantes with Raven, and recently, met a bunch of people who just happen to have superpowers."

-RAVEN-

If it weren't for the fact that I was wonderfully wet, I'd probably have been hiding in a closet wondering how to run away and join the circus. I just knew I was a danger. I didn't know WHY exactly, but I knew it. I guessed that every other one of us probably though the same thing, 'this is all my fault'. But who cares, it really made you think. Maybe it wasn't that I was a danger. But I knew I had something big in store. We all did. Every single one of us had something different, something big, something that could change our lives forever coming for us. Another one of my gut instincts.

I ran out of breath and went back to the surface.

-JOSEPH-

"Thanks," said Joseph as he took a burger from the grill master and sat down at the table. His hair was dripping wet from his last cannonball as he took a bite. Suddenly Julie came over and sat down beside him. He set down his burger as she said, "Hey. We haven't really talked much, have we?"

"I just met you guys a couple hours ago," he replied, grinning.

"No! It was... last night," she sighed. "I guess haven't had a CHANCE to talk. So wanna?"

"Why?"

"Why not?"

"Because I'm eating and wet and don't like talking too much."

"Great, so I'll start?"

"Well this random guy would like you to follow him." I said then got up running.

Kelly followed me trying to catch me. Eventually i found the house and entered. There i waited for her, because with out me she would most likely get lost.

"So where are we going." She asked when she meet up with me.

"Here." I said and pulled a curtain to reveal a a seven story high cubicle. The walls line with books, the floor full of cases that went up two stories.

"Wow." Kelly breathed in amazement and started to the first case. "do you have these in all your houses." She asked.

"well we have libraries in each, but none are as big as this one. Most are about 20 high circular lined with books, but not this many." I answered. "Sense i spent most of my time here step daddy installed it for me to use."

"You know, you might never see me again?" I asked jokingly as I took a book off the shelf. Gary chuckled.

"I come in here sometimes, so I might catch a glimpse," he said.

The book I had taken was "ESP, the facts and fables, by Dr. L. S. Constance". It had never, ever, EVER been opened.

"This book hasn't been read," I whispered, aghast. That was practically a crime in my book.

"Not all of them have been," Gary said. "We get more in here all the time."

I slowly turned and looked at him. My jaw must have been touching the floor because he just chuckled again. I turned to the prologue as he turned to leave.

FACT: ESP is real, it exists. To put it to basic science, it is caused by over activity in the frontal lobe of the brain. Telepathy, the ability to comunicate by purely mental means, is included. Telekinesis, the ability to move and manipulate objects by mental means, is also included. However, not all forms of ESP are true, which is why I, Dr. Luke Santhan Constance, have written this book, to weave out what is real, what is fable, and to show the proofs of ESP.

That book looked like it was only going to last a couple hours, so I carefully found my way back to my room, put it down there, and headed back outside to the pool again.

"Let's see." I said musing on what to say.
I looked at Joseph's dripping wet hair, trying to think of something that wasn't lame.
"Do you like sports?" I said.
"Yeah. Football and basketball." he said.
"Cool." I said.
"What about you?" he asked.
"Cheerleading or something?" he guessed.
I laughed.
"Um no. Basketball and volleyball." I said.
"Oh okay." he said.
Then I couldn't think of anything else to talk too.
So we sat there in silence for like 5 long minutes.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Am I like the only person in this entire thing who doesn't have two characters?
Wow...makes me feel like an outcast. :(

I'm feeling a bit out-of-it, so I'm just going to post something random anyways.

Damien

Damien had long ago zoned out. He was staring into the blank pages of his life's story. Apparently this ghost knew all about him. "I'm not a necromancer," He said to her, but she shushed him.

"Its okay, anyone can see this," She closed her eyes, and Damien did the same. Finally, he pushed away, feeling a raindrop on his hair. Ah, that must be from the outside world. "I need to go," He sighed, and drew away back into the darkness.

As he opened his eyes, Maribelle was seated on the edge of the pool, shivering slightly. Damien decided he may as well take a dip, since he hadn't swam in a while. He shed off his hat and sweatshirt and dove in.

The expression 'like they were talking under water' was very true. Everything was just blurred mumbles from above, and wavering outlines of colour. But he, himself, knew that he was focussed on Mari, who looked slightly lonely. He popped up for air.

"Something wrong?" Damien asked Maribelle.

Is that okay?

Maribelle

I had been having a feeling for a while, it was getting to me as I swam by myself. Damien had finally got in obviously taking a break from drawing. He asked me if there was something wrong, I cocked my head and chewed on my lip.

"Do you ever get feelings that something is headed for you?" I asked kinda drifting into deep thought. I gazed at the clouds only focusing on my own thoughts, keeping the door shut.

"Yes, actually I do..." He said feeling like he wanted to say more.

"But, you don't know how to put it in words like me? I wish i knew..." I said extracting his thoughts with ease. I watched him closely, his eyes searching for something more to say.

"I do too Mari, so do you like the house?" He asked me absently. I took a quick glance toward the house and shrugged.

"Well, I'm more of the simple type. Glamorous stuff doesn't make me feel at home, you know?" I said, my heart was so loud I could have sworn everyone could hear it. I let a smile spread across my lips, knowing it was abnormal.

Damien

"Same here," He said. He really didn't like such large houses. Weren't they infamous for paranormal happenings? He was pretty sure it was true, but he dared not mention that. He didn't want to scare Maribelle... but he doubted that she'd get scared very easily.

I had seen into his head, and couldn't help but laugh. He looked at me curiously with wide eyes.

"No i don't scare easily, and I love haunted houses. I've always wanted to go to california to see the winchester house. Have you ever been there?" I asked wanting to hear what happened to him personally.

-------

i really have always wanted to go to that house >.<
I think i may be going in the summer C:

Damien~

"I was actually part of a paranormal activities crew in the Winchester house. If you didn't know, I can see ghosts," Damien mumbled quitely, looking away from Mari. He quickly thought that he was glad she wasn't afraid of ghosts. But Damien had learned something new-- a mind shield. He just thought one thing over and over again so that he could think underneath that without others knowing what he was thinking. Well, those who could read minds.

Sorry, its short!

"Woah, that's so-" My breath got taken from me before i could finish. I had been trying to see into his mind but, a wall had been thrown in front of me.

"H-how did y-you do that?" I stuttered, trying to catch my breath. I calmed myself down taking deep breaths, attempting to regain my conscience.

"I know how to keep people from seeing my thoughts, sorry if i surprised you." Damien said. I went under the water feeling defeat in the one thing i was good at.

sorry i don't have much.

**I have a storybook idea, but I don't want to clutter the thread with another unwanted SB. Would anyone join a LoTR/Middle Earth based storybook? I know this is kinda a weird question since there are only five people on this SB, but I just thought I'd ask first.**

**So, my computer geek plays football? I didn't know that ;) Ha ha!**

-JOSEPH-

Man the silence is awful! thought Joseph as he took another bite from his sandwich. And what was I thinking? I don't play sports! I sit at computers and build robots and stuff. No physical activity!

"Uh, what other hobbies do you have?"

Aw, jeez, my comment was longer than my post. How embarrassing.

"Um...swimming?" I said.

"Nice." he said.

"Writing's fun too." I said.

I furrowed my brown.

Why was Joseph's emotions...unhappy or nervous?

"Are you okay?" I asked looking at him.
