So, Tex, our first order of business before we can Execute 'Plan K' is getting Spencer a body back. This post will explain it all.

Spencer~

Cadence quivered beneath Spencer. She saw the numbers of the shadow. It was a hundred against... well, a few. We'd never be able to take out this many. It was certain death walking into a fight like this... practically unknowing of your powers (well, knowing a bit).

Spencer squeaked into Cadence's ear. "I'll tell you what attack to use and when, okay?"

Cadence nodded her head down once and looked at the swarms coming towards them, surrounding them in a circle. Damien suddenly snapped back into reality. He hurried towards Spencer. "Here," He took Spencer from Cadence's shoulder and placed Spencer on his. "I know how to do it." Damien said.

"Do what?"

"Get you a body. There was this person who was about to do it, before they were attacked by the shadow. All we need to do is--" Damien kicked squinted his eyes shut and ice froze the shadows in place. He hurried forward. "There's this guy who's drifting right now. He is alive and dead."

"So what do we do?"

"You'll find out once we--!" There, sure enough, was a strawberry-blonde boy. His bike ws crashed over, and he was torn up. A shadow was sitting near him. Spencer's hand formed an ice dagger, and he ran headlong at the shadow. He stabbed it in its chest.

Spencer slipped and fell off his shoulder, tumbling to the ground. Oof. Black gunk spewed from the shadows heart as it slowly disintigrated into a pile of muck. "Release!" Damien said aloud, his eyes closed. Then he grabbed Spencer, whispering a few words, and Spencer felt a pull on his body.

His whole soul was being transferred into the poor boy's body. He could feel it. And once it touched inside the warmth of the body, Spencer's heart began beating. He was stil Spencer, just a different person.

As Spencer slowly got up, turning his hand back and forth, he heard Damien gasp.

There, before them, were thousands of shadows, ready to fight. This was it. This was the end.

"Oh My Gosh." I said trembling by Raven's side.
These were the same creature's that had killed my parents.
These were the same creatures that had seperated loved ones from each other.
These were the creatures that gave me so much pain.
These were the creatures that had murdered my parent's in front of my own eyes.
And now?
These were the creatures that were going to have to put up a fight and then die.
Raven nodded her head slowly.
It was time.
I concenterated on a near by car and then slowly began to lift it up with my mind. Then I threw it at the crowd of shadows and saw about 5 of them go down.

I’ll try to do the next phase of ‘Plan K’.

RAVEN

I saw Damien come back with a strawberry-blonde. I looked at him skeptically. There was something familiar about him, even though I’d never seen him before in my entire life… I ran over, ignoring the shadows that were within throwing distance (and I throw like a girl) and asked, “Who’re you?”

“It’s me, Raven,” said the new guy. “I’m Spencer.” His voice was a tad deeper than Spencer. I looked to Damien, who nodded. Grand.

“Good to have ya back, Spence’,” I said before turning back to the fight which had started. I would NOT let myself get all mushy in a life or death fight. I saw Damien run, who knows where to, and Spencer send a mound of earth across the surface, tumbling a dozen shadows.

I crouched down on the ground. The sun had set to total darkness; there was no sunlight to scare off the shadows. I concentrated. Maybe I could send little bursts of psionic power and stun the shadows for a few seconds…

I succeeded. The stun only lasted a few seconds, and it took thirty seconds to ‘recharge’, but it worked. We might have a chance.

Blood appeared out of nowhere. When I looked up, Gary was clutching his stomach, his hand covered in blood, as he tried to continue to use his powers to fight off the shadows that surrounded him. Julie, who had overcome her headache, was fending off a group of teens who had been Taken. Everyone was doing something, and blood, the red of humans and the black of shadows, lay on the ground everywhere.

Damien came back with another girl. She had light-brown hair in a bun. Whatever he was doing, he got us another fighter. Good.

Then I saw Spencer get beat up, bad. He was cut at his brow by a shadow that had turned its ‘hand’ into a knife. I saw him fall, no doubt breaking his arm. For once, I let myself cry. A tear ran down my cheek. I couldn’t let it get to me. I had to try harder.

I concentrated on the ground even harder. It was exhausting. I couldn’t even imagine how the others were doing. I didn’t want to imagine. I continued to concentrate with all my might…

Execute Phase 3!

Spencer~

Raven... Raven! Where was Raven? He spun around. There she was, kneeling on the ground. Her head to her temples. She was so exhausted, Spencer could tell. Despite the stabbing pain that shot up his arm, he crawled through the turmoil and terror of the fight, through the puddles of blood and cracked bones, human flesh and earth. He hobbled over to her, his head screaming.

This is it. End of story. I'm glad we didn't leave. Maybe this way I'll spend my last moments with Raven...!

A shadow was lunging towards her, both arms pointed like swords. Razor-sharp teeth, skin black as night, a malicious smile spread across its teeth. It sent out a cry of joy.

Spencer got up, pushing and willing his body to move fast as ever. Raven looked up, her hair flipping as she noticed the thing about five lengths away from her. If someone didn't get there in time she'd surely d--!

Spencer's blood spattered her face. An arm was stabbed through his side. He had his hands clentched around the shadow's shoulders. "Don't... ever... hurt her!" He cried out, his voice filled with anguish. He sent a massive mound of earth come crashing into the shadow's body. It was sent flying into the air.

Spencer grunted as he slumped onto his knees. Shocked, Raven stared. She was staring at his wound... but staring past him now. The numbers of the shadow's were practically increasing.

"Raven," He said, his voice filled with all the emotions he knew she felt. Filled with the anger, the determination, the anguish, the joy... everything.

"Raven, look at me," His voice was firm. For a moment's time she tore her eyes away from the crimson world and looked into his eyes. "What--!" She began, but could not say a thing more before Spencer pressed his lips to hers.

I glanced over at Spencer and Raven and smiled to myself.
"Hey Spencer!" I shouted.
He looked over at me.
"Let's fight first. Then you can continue your love story." I said.
Raven looked shocked then she smiled at spencer, her cheeks turning red.
I looked all around me.
The shadows were getting worse.
Gary was in terrible position so Candence made him go in the van.
Kelly was trying her best to defend herself and the others.
And Joseph was...wait where was Joseph?
I looked around but couldn't see him.
Was he okay?
Suddenly I felt a jolt of pain on my head and looked up to see a shadow grinning at me.
Crud.
It was just about ready to take over.
Than everything went black as I felt blood drip down from the side of my head.
My last thought?
We were so going to die.

Kee hee!! This is/was like the final three chapters in the last Harry Potter book. SO dramatic, SO amazing, SO awesome! I don't think it was god-modding, really. I mean, anyone else can jump in and say what they were doing. This is just one person’s-- two people's perspective/what they did. Someone else post what they did during the fight!

RAVEN

“Raven, look me in the eye,” Spencer said as he crouched over me, his voice stronger than I’d ever heard it. I looked at him for a split second, saying “Wha--?” but he cut me off, pressing his lips to mine.

For those two seconds, I forgot everything. I forgot I was fighting. I forgot my friends were putting their lives at stake. I forgot that I was going to lose everyone that had brought joy to my life, again. Time seemed to drag on forever.

I knew I had a crush on him. I had hesitated to admit it to myself. But right then, everything about the love I felt seemed right.

When we pulled apart, I let myself smile for the first time in years. I was filled with honest to goodness happiness. Julie saw us and called, “Let’s fight first. Then you can continue your love story.” I could feel my face flush. I heard a blood-curdling scream behind me. My smile vanished and my head turned instinctively to see Cadence, a shadow hovering over her, ready to strike her, to take her. Spencer was hurt terribly, though he tried to go to her, shouting, “Cadence!”

All I could think of was Would we survive?




JOSEPH

Joseph turned on the engines of the car he had placed his hands on, soaking up the electricity they produced. Once he knew he had enough he turned it towards the shadows nearest him, electrocuting, and possible destroying, all it touched. There were so many… He repeated the process until the car ran out of gas end he couldn’t control them any more. It felt like with every shadow that was destroyed, another two appeared in its place.

Will the waves ever end? he thought as he tried to find lightning in the few storm clouds that hung overhead. What’s going to happen to us?

So, I had an idea about how they actually survive this. Check the DT, and post how ya’ll think they should/could/will survive.

About 5 seconds later I fluttered my eyes open.
"Wha?" I thought.
Then I remembered everything that had happened.
I tried to move away from the shadow but it had be captrued.
I tried fussing and kicking anf everything but this thing just wouldn't give up.
Then it looked down at me, it's ugly face in what I think was a grin.
Then it reached it's hand towards my heart.
I stopped kicking.
There was no point.
This was the end.
I was going to die...just like my parents.
Unleast I would meet them in heaven I thought.

JOSEPH

Everyone was exhausted, and Joseph knew it. He had seen the dark things— ‘shadows’ attack the hotel. He knew they had been inside. He knew they had run from a fight to another fight. It takes a lot out of a person. He punched a shadow that had created itself enough substance that you can actually punch it. For no reason at all, he turned to see Julie in the process of being taken by a shadow. She was actually kinda cool… He ran and punched the shadow in its ‘face’, and grabbing Julie, ran back to where he was before.

“Are you okay?” he asked, setting her down and looking her over.

“Yeah… thanks,” she replied.

I looked around.
"How the heck are we going to stop all this? I mean look at these shadows they are increasing by the minute." I said.
"I have no idea." he said.
I looked over at Candence and the others.
They didn't look so good.
"We can't fight. There are too many." I said.
"Yeah, but what else can we do? We can't hide. I mean they'll find us." he said.
"You're right. But we have no other choice. Unless a miracle happens...we're all just going to die." I said.
"Don't be so negative. A miracle just might happen." he said.
"I hope so." I mumbled biting my lip.

This isn't the part where that happens to Cadence... okay? Just wanted to make that clear. And if we're going with idea three, than this is actually going to tie in with it.

Cadence~

Cadence writhed in pain on the blood soaked ground, her clothes grungy and covered in sweat. She bit back the screams that crept towards the edge of her tongue. She squinted her eyes shut in pain.

Something was happening. Her heart... it hurt so bad....

She took a deep breath, her back arching off the ground, spattered in her own blood that had seeped out of a wound in her back. And in that moment, a scream escaped her lips, blood-curdling. Helpless.

She stared around herselves. The shadows... they were becoming slower.... That boy Ballow couldn't be slowing time. If he was she'd be slowed too. But their attacks were weakening, because the slightest punch thrown by Joseph, with only the measley amount of power he had left, sent them flying through the air, crashing to the ground.

A dark cloud loomed over the city, and rain broke through, spattering the ground and turning it a dark gray. The gray of the skin of the shadows.... Cadence suppressed another cry as her heart pulsated, as if the blood that pushed through her artery were made of tiny microsopic neatles.

"Cadence?" Spencer called out. She recognized her voice as always. He was her beacon of hope. Maybe she would survive, as long as he stayed by her side.

Damien had gotten me a host, it was girl close to my age with light brown hair pulled into a bun Host
Her eyes were a burgundy color, I nodded and walked into her body.

My soul attached into hers and I began connecting myself to her. But, I didn't have time shadows were surrounding s and we needed to get out.

"So, Damien are you ready?" I smirked feeling a power rise within me that made me confident. He laughed and looked into my eyes, a feeling blossoming that i never knew i had.

"Only if you are." He said. I squinted my eyes to look at the distance, their were many shadows. A smile broadened my face, as I thought. Raven and Spencer had just shared a kiss, color flushed my cheeks when the first thing i saw was Damien and I doing the same thing. A door had been opened in my mind, I noticed Damien looking at me as if he had just saw it.

I breathed in and laughed quietly.

You saw that didn't you... I asked in thought, he smiled but didn't answer. I shrugged it off and focused on the fight.

"Let's do this!" I yelled. Getting prepared for battle, I positioned myself in a stance that would increase my ability to hit more shadows. Everyone doubted we could do this, I knew we had little chance but we had no where else to go.

Damien, if I don't make it...I want you to know something... I sent as my heart beat drummed against my ribcage.

Mari could say no more before the shadows hit, engulfing the two in battle. Damien sent ice tearing through the ground, freezing shadows in place. Using his fists he punched, or stabbed-- with an icicle-- at the shadows.

Mari was fighting, but not as aggresively as him. Guys were just that way. It was instinctual to fight with your whole heart.

The clouds began to loom over the small town, and raindrops began pouring down, matting Damien's hair to his head. His nostrils flared as a shadow grasped Mari's hand. Spencer kicked the shadow straight in the head, sending it flying.

"Thanks," Mari said. Damien gave a nod. Though in his head, he could still see the kiss that mari had imagined. Would it be like that one day? Leaning protectively over her, his lips pressed against hers?

He shook the thoughts quickly away before Mari could pick them up. He heard a cry. Cadence. What was happening with Cadence. Slowly the Shadows began to fade... their numbers were still high, but dwindling.

With each tiny hit Damien made, the shadows crashed to the ground and fell apart, like ashes.

Ashes, ashes, we all fall down, Damien thought.

Sorry for the double post. I didn't feel like editing, so I'm just posting here! Tex said she needed me. Now, its about Cadence, but there is some more description completely irrelevant to Cadence at all.

Cadence~
The portal was pulling at its boundaries, sucking the earth in on itself. But finally, as if on command, the vortex of black closed in on itself.

And the shadows began slowing. Without the portal, their power seeped right out of them. The portal was their heart. It was their body and soul. They needed it to survive. But once the portal closed completely, the shadows combust into ashes. They were picked up and blown away in the wind that came with the rain.

And Cadence's heart stopped pounding. Finally. The shadows had touched her heart. They'd made her heart believe it was one of them, just by the cool grasp that had tried to take hold of it. But now, as the shadows disappeared, as if never there, she believed she was human. She was human. She wasn't anything different.

She clutched her back as she got up. Only a few splotches of blood stained the ground, but only black ashes were in the places where the shadows been.

It seemed so easy for the guys to knock the shadows backward, I had to focus. With my mind i conjured enough energy to send at least ten of the shadows flying. I didn't even have to use that much of my power considering how weak these newborn shadows were.

Cadence was in terrible pain, but everyone was too busy. Spencer of course rushed to her, he was sitting over her. He wanted to help make the pain stop but he didn't know how, he was searching desperately for something or someone to make it stop.

I attempted to send a wave of comfort to her so it wouldn't be so terrible. Spencer nodded toward me and I turned back to the shadows punching, kicking, whatever i could manage to keep them away from everyone.

I found it hard to keep away from my fantasies whenever i glanced at Damien. But, this time I remembered to keep the door in my mind locked shut.

The shadows began turning into ashes which were picked up by the wind, I was breathing heavy as I watched in amazement.

"We did it?" I asked myself in a whisper.
