Hello.
I'm not speaking English as a native language, which is difficult when writing.
However, I have to cope with it due to the fact that in today's world, one has to write in English.
So, I see this site as a place for practice both in writing, and in English. Don't be too harsh on the new guy!

Hey I'm new to the site, I joined because I've always enjoyed writing but I have a lot of trouble getting ideas and then getting my writing to flow the way I want it to, so I'm hoping by joining I'll be able to improve on my work and (of course) meet new people.

Hi! Obviously I am new to here, So I thought I'd introduce my self. My name is JD, and I am an avid writer, and enjoy writing a wide variety of stories. I've been writing for as long as I can remember. I've tried writing a novel once when I was ten, and it was not very good. I have improved greatly though, and I am currently working on new "novel". I really don't know what else to say, other than hello and I look forward to talking with some of you.

Hey JD! Welcome to YWS! I know you're going to love it here because your story is much like mine. I tried to write novels when I was younger too and, well, I don't speak about them due to their blatant lack of skill. Anyway, I joined a little over a week ago and have already fallen in love with the site and the people here. I've never received more help with my writing from anyone and it pays off. I'm looking forward to reading some of your work!

My real name is Ashley and I love to write. I didn't really start writing seriously until the ninth grade, but I have been ever since. That's pretty much it, so hi.

Hey, welcome to the site! I got more serious about writing in 9th grade too, which is actually when I joined YWS. I've made some awesome friends here and really grown a lot as a writer too; it's a great place. Please don't hesitate to ask for help with anything - my participation the last couple of years has been shaky since I started college, but if I can't answer your question, I guarantee I can find someone who can.

I'm new, just so you know. My name is 27017296, but if anybody can think of a better nickname, you can call me that. :]
I have a ton of stuff to say, but I'll hold myself back. (1 Wow. I thought I'd never meet anybody as gramatically obsessed as me. (2 I'm not exactly American, so please, forgive and gently correct any mistakes I make. (3 I read the rules, and plan on following them.
I think that's enough for now. :]

I'm tempted to nickname you Numb3rs.

You wouldn't be the first non-American to join YWS! If you take a look at the June Stats Review, you'll see a lot of YWSers are from outside of the States. (From that, you might be able to tell I'm Canadian.)

I was recommended this website by a publishing agent who, even though impressed by the quality of my work, suggested that I join this website to improve my ability even further so I that may one day have the ability of achieving my life ambition and have at least one book published. I look forward to reading all of your responses to my work and also, hopefully, be able to to help others with their ambitions and dreams.

Hey again! I sent off my first three chapters of the novel I've written to a publishing agent for them to look over and decide if they werent interested. After deciding that they weren't going to request the rest of the manuscript they sent me a email telling me the news as well as this website. If you want I can sent you a message containing the email x
