"Bye Mommy, I love you." Trent grinned running over to Journey real fast and hugging her leg tightly. She looked at him for a split second then bet down and hugged him.

"Come on, buddy, we're already running late." Colt smiled. Trent nodded and ran back over and Colt scooped him up carrying him out to his truck and driving him to school.

-------------------------

Colt came back home and walked in the kitchen, it sounded like Journey was up stairs doing something or another. He cleaned up the counters real fast and then walked up the stairs to make Trent's bed.

Journey had already gotten Trent's bed though.

"He at school?" Jouney asked walking over to him from the master bed room.

"Yup, tomorrow is the last day, a half day." Colt smiled.
"And you wonder why we don't like you!" -Trumpkin

Journey felt drawn away, too quiet. She turned her head to see his expression easier. "What's wrong?" she asked.

"Nothing." he said, blankly.

"Yes there is, what is it?" she asked.

"I miss you, Journey." he said. "You have to get your memory back." he said

"I will." she said. "You just have to very patient." she said.

"I know, part of me doesn't want you to cause I don't want you to be mad again, but I don't know." He smiled a little. The phone rang and he grabbed it.

"Hey, Colt, we just heard about the accident, is Journey ok?" His dad's voice said coming on to the phone.

"Ya, she's doing better, just a lose of memory." He replied.

"We're coming over to see y'all. Just wanted to give you a heads up." His dad said.

"But..." The line went dead and Colt sighed.

"Who was that?" She asked.

"My parents, their coming over and won't let me argue that fact." He smiled. "I wasn't sure if you wanted visitors or not."

Journey shrugged. "Yeah, of course. Their your parents." she said.

"That's what you would have said if you had your entire memory you know." he said. The doorbell rang and Journey jumped a little. "Hey mom, dad." Colt said.

"Hey, son." His father smiled. "Ah, there she is, how are you Journey?" he asked.

"I'm doing OK." she nodded.

"Dad..." Colt cautioned. "She doesn't remember much of anything."

"That's fine, she's still got her sweet personality that I can tell." His dad smiled. HIs mom walked to the kitchen and set some dishes down.

"I made some lasaquna." SHe smiled. "Figured I'd save you from Colt's cooking sense I'm not sure that he is letting you cook."

"I'm not, we've not been awake but for one meal." Colt smiled.

"Well sleep is a good thing. Which is something you need too." His mom said walking over. "You worked your butt off until Journey pulled you back home."

"Ya." Colt said looking down a little. Journey never saw anything more into his work other then him not being home.

**no worries**

Journey wanted to sleep until she couldn't sleep anymore. She wanted to remember to realive this family from their pain, she didn't know how to do it, she wished there was something, just one thing that she could find just to trigger her memory. She smiled at his parents.

"I wish I hadn't hit my head so hard." she shrugged. "Maybe I'd be able to remember you all. I guess not." she bit her lower lip. She didn't want to look at Colt's expression. "I didn't even remember my own son, and that right there is very hard to believe." she said.

Colt took a deep breath and stood up. "Well, enough talk about this, talking about it isn't going to do anything. Not that I know of." He smiled.

"Well, we have a few hours before Trent gets home and keeps everyone busy, how about going out to the park and walking around?" His dad asked.

Journey looked at Colt. "Oh, I don't know, wouldn't he like to go too?" she asked.

"Well, I never considered THAT, your right, Journey." Colt's mother said smiling. "Well then maybe we could show you some pictures." she said.

Nervously she bit her bottom lip, considering... Then smiled. "I'm sure that would be great." she smiled.

"Well, then lets get started." she said...

****I is sorry, if that is a bad thing*****

Colt didn't know his parents had taken so many pictures. They started from when Journey first met his parents and went on week by week as she got bigger and bigger and then shrunk to where she had a little baby in her arms with him. He noticed how as time went on the happiness that had radiatted off her before slowly went away, he knew it was because of him and it hurt. The pictures stopped a month before.

"We're home!" Colt's dad smiled. Colt looked up surprised. His dad had slipped out and gotten Trent sense him, Journey, and Colt's mom had been enveloped in the pictures.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Trent cried running over and jumping in Journey's lap kissing her cheek and then grinning at COlt.

Journey felt herself space out when they had showed her all the photos. She gasped when Trent jumped onto her lap and gave her a wet kiss on the cheek.

"Hey, Sugar Baby, how are you. How was school?" she asked.

idk either**

2 weeks later...

Journey still had no idea who she was or had any memories just weird dreams which consided of Colt waking up in the middle of the night and giving her a glass of water and rubbing her back. There were strong dreams about a hospital.

She dreamed she was laying down on a plastic covered bed, she was wearing jeans and a blue shirt that had stars all over it. A woman doctor came in, her name tag always blurry. She was a tall blonde with bright blue eyes. She said the same thing over and over again.

"How are you feeling?" she would say.

Journey would never be able to reply. Her head would hit something hard and she would be knocked unconscience, her mind would scream at her to protect herself. To save something, and then she'd wake up screaming.
___

"Same dream?" Colt asked.

she nodded taking the glass of water from him. "Have I ever been to the doctors office without you?" she asked.

He shook his head. "I don't think so, maybe once or twice when you went for your pregnancy." he said.

"What that it then?" she asked.

he nodded. She looked at him. "Colt, I think these... These dreams are trying to tell me something."

Colt blew out a breath his eyes were blood shot. "Journey, your tired. Your exhausted. Your mind is just messing with you. OK?" he said.

"OK." She finnally said. Colt laid his head back down and fell back asleep with her curled up in his arms. He was not getting enough sleep these days at all. He wasn't about to tell her this, but his dreams weren't peaceful either.

-------------------------------------------------

"Mommy! Daddy! Wake up, it's morn'n." Trent yelled bouncing on their bed. Colt opened his eyes and groaned looking at the clock. 10:00 am.

"Go back to bed." Colt groaned.

"NO!" Trent cried. "We're going to Disney World today!"

Journey rolled over accidently hitting Colt in the face.

"AH! My nose. I think you broke my nose." he complained loudly.

"Oh, your such a baby." she murmered. She curled up into a ball and within five seconds of doing so she felt Colt freeze. She turned to look at him, "what?" she asked.

"Just.... the way your laying. You did that before you had Trent... Memories I guess." he shrugged it off.

"Why did I stop?" She asked.

"When you got bigger with Trent you couldn't get comfortable like that." He smiled a little. "Guess habits formed during that time."

"GET UP!" Trent said jumping on the bed and grabbing Colt's and Journey's hands.

"We're working on it budy." Colt smiled pulling him down and tickling his stomach.

"STOP DADDY!" Trent laughed.

In short, Mrs. Pontellier was beginning to realize her position in the universe as a human being, and to recognize her relations as an individual to the world within and about her.
