**Yes**

"Just like in the fairy tales," Nyla muttered to herself. Reading up and researching faeries for her book had come in handy. Her best sellers had been fiction efter all.

The Little People were said to steal children and take them to their lairs to serve them and their kingdom. Although she could see where the going into churches was sadly mistaken. Visting churches and helping out was a hobby of hers. She loved Sunday morning services.

Nyla looked Paul in the eyes. She could see why everyone looked at them oddly. It really didn't make any sence. Not to her. She was like her mother apparently. A wild spirit. Or maybe she just wasn't up to it. Eaither way they shared something.

Coming from her tirade of thoughts, she turned to face the Leader once again. "You will have to train me. I have no previous experience. Yesterday was when I discovered that I was a faerie. All I can do is promise to be dedicated and try my best."

The Leader smiled at Nyla, "That's all I can ask for. After all, you are considerd the turning point."

Paul squeezed Nyla's shoulder and smiled. "I'm up for whatever, I guess. I came through to help Nyla, so I'm gonna help. Not that I can go back anyways and not that I would want to."

"Good, your still something to think about. Not once in any of the profecys were you mentioned." The guy said.

"It was a last minute thing, I guess." Paul smiled.

"Possibly a good last minute thing." THe leader replied. A boy walked in and motioned to the leader. "Your tent is ready. Followe me."

Nyla followed him, glancing from time to time at someone's face, hoping to find a familiar face. The trees were dancing wildly, casting shadows on her hands. Paul looked dazed and faced foward. Nyla wondered if it was to much for him.

They found their tent and entered. A mat sat in the corner, worn out from use. A rocking chair sat in the middle of the room, a simple wooden deck in front. It was simple, but safe. Feeling sence of ease she dropped into the chair and leaned back. Paul sat on the bed, his face in his hands.

"You ok?" Nyla asked him. "You don't regret coming do you?"

"No, just alot to take in." He said looked up at her and smiling. "Alot to think about. I mean, all the stories we heard as kids, the ones we thought weren't true, they are. I mean, the ones that really count. Rumplestilkskin, and the babies and little people. I mean, think about it. It's just alot to take in one day."

"I know, it's odd, but this isn't what I expected. The humans and faeries." She said biting her lip then shrugging.

"I should've guessed something like this, but it was my choice to come. I don't regret that." He smiled and laid on the bed lookig at the roof. "I have a feeling we will be fighting though."

"Of course," Nyla asid solumly, "Independance comes as price."

Paul nodded ahd turned to face the tent walls. She knew that it must be aot to take in, especially for him. "You know, I have never had any battle experience. I do not know why they want me so bad. Already I wonder what theya re going to do when I tell them this."

Paul faced her looking surprised, "You have never fought anyone, never had any experience? I thought you might have some hidden talent uncovered when you arrived,"

"Not that I know of yet." She shrugged. "Do you have any fighting background?"

"I'm a black belt, and then I've had my share of fights, but with weapons and such I have no experiance other then from tye qon do." He shrugged. "I'm sure someone will show us the ropes. That or my sister will inherint my house and all." He smiled.

"Don't talk like that!" She growled.

"Just saying, she wouldn't mind." He smiled and propped his head up on his hand. "I think we'll be fine though. I mean, it's just humans against magic, what could possibly be so hard about that."

His tone was sarcastic, but he was joking around. He was acctually looking forward to fighting. To seeing what it would be like.

The day, which was one of the first of spring, cheered even me by the loveliness of its sunshine and the balminess of the air. I felt emotions of gentleness and pleasure, that had long appeared dead, revive within me. Half surprised by the novelty of these sensations, I allowed myself to be borne away by them, and forgetting my solitude and deformity, dared to be happy.
