Slade

It had been exactly two days since Loraine was born, exactly two days since Corrina gave me her shadowdancing and exactly two days since I discovered I was a werewolf, boy... wasn't our little family boring?

"Good morning" Bartholomew said from beside me as I awoke that morning, the sun beaming in beautifuly from the windows, I smiled at him and he smiled back.

"Morning" I replied, he ran his hand through my hair and kissed my forhead.

"Did you sleep well?" Bart asked me.

"Of course... You know, the full moon is tonight and I have an itching to check out my powers. To see if there's anything so interesting about me" I said, getting out of the bed and transforming into my wolf form. My wolf form was abnormally small, but I'd hoped speed would make up for that, tonight would be the night to see. Bartholomew smiled at me and laughed as I wagged my tail back and forth.

Xan~

Dammit, dammit, dammit! Was the only thing soaring through Xan's mind as he chased after the guy that had Stormi. He lept over a branch, cursing that the full moon was hidden by clouds. The silhouette of the man from before was running across the trees, Stormi in his arms. Xan snarled viciously right as the moon peaked out from behind the clouds. In the blink of an eye he was in the trees behind the man, his body the shape of a human but his features extremely wolf-like. This man, Derik is what Stormi had called him, was not taking what was Xan's. Especially not Stormi. She was only the girl he'd ever cared about next to his sister and that damned faerie thing. Xan lunged at Derik, his claws digging into his back. Derik let out a hiss of pain but threw Xan off of him, jumping to the ground and laying Stormi against a tree. "Damned mutt! Tore my favorite shirt!" Derik smirked, making Xan's eyes glow red with anger.

"Yeah? Well, maybe I'll tear your limbs off next," Xan barked angrily, his voice gruff and taut. Derik just laughed and smiled widely, his eyes wild.

"Like some weak Vulmane could kill me. All Vulmane are are little messengers of the Underworld. They're trash. Slaves even. And you think," he let out a laugh, "that a slave like you can take on me?" He laughed again as his eyes continued to dance with amusement. Xan was silent for a second, then a cocky smirk spread across his face.

"I don't think that I can," Derik smirked at his words, "I know," in a flash Derik was thrown into the oak tree behind him, four sickeningly deep claw marks across the side of his face.

"Damned wolf!" He shouted, lunging at Xan and knocking him into the tree that was ten feet back, breaking it on impact. Xan let out a bloodcurdling yell and fell limp to the ground, his face a mask of pain. Unbeknownst to Derik, the 'Xan' that had been thrown into the tree was just a substituded wolf that Xan had been using as he waited in the foliage of one of the trees.

*is someone going to post for derik?*

I ran through the forest. I had hoped to God that that little Vulmane boy hadn't gone crazy. I made it in time to watch a wolf be thrown to a tree. I saw a shadow of that vulmane kid about to jump at Derik.

"Boy's, boy's lets play nice," I said smirking at Derik. I watched as his face turned a million colors and a million emotions flew through his body.

"I-I thought you- that you were dead," Derik whispered.

"No, babe. You missed a spot," I said teasing him with the same words he had told me.

"But....how?" I watched Xan about to lunge.

"Xan, honey. You do that, you leave the Elven princess in mine and Derik's hands. Bad thing." I watched as he snarled I chuckled.

"You know what? You both look pretty darn stupid fighting. Xan, wouldn't you rather me to kill him instantly? It would be easier on you. Unless we are all here for the same thing." At that moment the boys turned to Stormi.

"This is going to be a problem. See I am after Derik. Xan is after Derik and Stormi. Derik is after Stormi and he now has two against him. I on the other hand, am here to make sure the baby inside Stormi gets home safe same with mister soon-to-be-father vulmane guy. Derik, you lose." It wasn't even a fair fight. I said he lost he was frozen where he stood I lunged at him and murdered him brutely. I felt his cold blood splatter on my face. I looked up to the Vulmane kid again.

"What? Here, feed on this loser. I will wake Stormi. You better hope that she is okay." I turned to him still standing there.

"Did I stutter?" I asked rudely.

"I-I am a-a fath-" He didn't even finish his sentence before he fell out cold. I laughed and woke up Stormi. She gasped and looked at me, then at Xan, then at Derik, then back to me again.

"Is Xan-"

"No, honey. He is fine. He just got freaked out because he just found out that he is a father!" I exclaimed.

"What?! Whose the mom?!"

"Uhh....you."

"I'm thirteen!"

"And your point is?" After I said that she fainted. I laughed at this. Thats when I figured out that Derik wasn't Derik. That was an eron runner. The actual Derik would be looking for his crush.

~Derik~

I paced back and forth waiting for Henry. Suddenly the little messenger pixie was in front of me.

"Henry is dead. Corinna is alive." And with that the pixie was gone. She couldn't be alive! It can't be! I slammed my head against the stone I was next to. I did this over and over. I finally got a hold of myself. I would have to go sooner or later. I decided later, in two weeks.

~Bartholomew Charne~

I followed the little fox Slade outside. Her and her wagging tail. I thought she looked cute. I smiled at her as she ran into the woods. She was like a dart. I loved that. She looked at me and I got the vibe. I moved a boulder to beside me. It barely took any of my power. I pulled of a frisbee like substance and formed black water around it to make it light. I threw it into the air.

"Go fetch doggy! Go fetch!" I yelled at her. She eyed me before running off. I smiled when she brought it back. She returned to her human form and told me about her thirty minutes finding and running after the frisbee.

Xan~

Xan woke up soon after he'd passed out. He sat up and looked about, blinking, only to see the woman from before talking to Stormi, who had suddenly passed out. He crawled over to the two of them, still in his half human half wolf form and sat down next to Stormi. "Okay boy. Pick her up and follow me," the woman, Corinna as Xan would later find out, commanded, standing up. Xan, who was still in shock of him being a father AT FOURTEEN, picked Stormi up gently and followed Corinna as he wondered aloud in murmurs as to how he could be the father.

"Uh... Ma'am. If I may ask... how in the world am I the father? Neither of us are even fifthteen yet." He cocked his head to the side slightly as he awaited the answer.

~Corinna~

"Alright lover boy. Listen very closely. I believe you were on a....shore? Yeah. A beach. Don't you remember you chasing your shirt and trousers? She was chasing her little dress strings. I know that those didn't come off themselves. Heh, fourteen. Naughty children. Hasn't your mother had the 'talk' with you before?" I asked. I was chuckling at this point. I had a Miracle Baby and then teens go off and get a real baby! One that you make! What is this world coming to? I turned to Xan, who hadn't answered me yet. Then I realized that he doesn't have a mom.

"Oh...sorry. So, how long have you and princess here known eachother?" I said pausing in my steps.

"For a while now. I didn't count the days or anything." Xan said.

"Whats your name?" Xan asked me.

"Why do you need to know?" I asked.

"I don't need to. I was just curious," Xan said looking at Stormi's stomch.

"Is there really a baby in there?" He asked. I smiled and put my ear to Stormi's belly.

"Yes. Stop worrying. It happens. Once the baby is born then you will all be one big happy family. Alright." I waited for him to reply and he only smiled.

"Corinna," I said.

"What?"

"You asked what my name is. Corinna," I repeated.

"No last name?"

"Amnesia. As far as I know, no last name," I said again. I stopped in front of a cave that was pretty big. I motioned for him to go in. He layed down Stormi very gently. I smiled.

Slade

"I didn't appreciate that 'fetch doggy' comment you know" I said to Bartholomew as we walked into the kitchen, my hair was a mess because I had bush leaves all in it and I was covered in mud, but it was okay because I'd gotten most of it off on Bartholomew.

"Well now I have something to nag on you for!" he joked and I transformed back into a wolf and shook off mud onto him then tackled him.

"How do you like that?" I barked at him and howled as I ran off into the house.

I laughed and chased her. I ran into the house and she ran into a room that I have never been in before. I was tripped and I jumped up. I kept the growl in my chest from becoming noticable. I turned and it was Slade. I sighed a sigh of relief. I walke dover to her pushed her against the wall.

"Ow!" She screamed.

"Ssh....I'm sorry," I said. She looked at me weirdly as I still had her pinned against the wall. I kissed her neck. I looked at her and traced my fingers on her lips. I kissed her lips. I pulled back.

"I have to go do something. Stay here and don't leave. Alright? I love you," I said kissing her once again. I ran off into the darkness.

I had held it for to long. I opened my mouth and let out a scream. The black cloud flew from my lips. I had to kill something. I had to. I didn't want it to be Slade. I listened intently for any movement. I found one. It sounded like a man. I walked until I was exceptionally close. I was soon behind him. I stuffed my hand through his chest and I grasped his heart and squeazed it. His scream was silent and I smelled his fresh blood. I felt my eyes turn red and go back to their normal color. I rushed back to the house. She was waiting at the door.

"So....what happend?"

"Nothing. Just had to get some air," I said. I smirked at her and felt a sudden erge. I felt dark tonight. I pointed inside and watched her walk in. I followed her and lingered behind her for a while. Then she stopped in a corner and turned to me. She opened her mouth to say something, but I shook my head and she stopped. I clenched my jaw. My hands were still behind my back and I went foward. Slade seemed a little nervous tonight. I went closer until she was trapped in the corner. I went in to kiss her. She turned her face for me kiss her cheek. I did. then I followed her cheek line to her mouth.

"You're different," she said.

"No. Just a little romantic tonight," I whispered this in her ear. I ran my lips against her ear and she finally pulled me to her lips. My arms went past her to hold myself up against the wall.

Xan~

Xan dusted a lock of Stormi's hair out of her face and tucked in behind her ear, looking out the mouth of the cave before shivering. "I think I'm going to get some firewood for a fire..." Xan announced suddenly, walking out of the cave and quickly gathering the different sizes of wood. A rough laugh sounded around him, making him drop the wood and spin around.

"Calm down Xan," a white wolf with red and blue eyes and a marking over his right eye stepped out of the bushed, a smiled playing upon its face.

"Oh, Kain. It's just you," Xan breathed a sigh of relief and began to bundle the wood together again.

"Some greeting. I haven't talked to you in two months and this is the welcome home I get!" The wolf huffed and cocked his head upwards. "Guess I won't give your kid its wolf guardian then," it turned slowly , looking at Xan through its red eye.

"Wait! What a- You heard about it too?"

"That I did," the wolf smiled and wagged his tail. "From the elders. They've been following your every move seeing as though you're the heir to the Vulman title as alpha." Kain smirked.

"Eh, not until I'm fifteen." Xan waved his hand nonchalantly.

"And you're turning fifteen next month." Shit. Xan had forgotten his own birthday. "Ha! You forgot it again! Just like your last five birthdays!" Xan just glared at Kain. "Anyway, the elders wanted me to stay with you till your birthday and to give your kid its wolf, seeing as though he's half vulmane." Kain twisting his head around into the darkness, coming back out with a yappingwolf pup. Kain dropped the pup on the ground lightly where it smiled proudly and shifted on its front paws.

"Fine, let's head back," Kain nodded and scooped the pup back up, following Xan back to the cave.

I woke and felt an erge to eat a leaf.....I know....weird. I walked outside and saw a white wolf come from the woods. I jumped and had a wind ball ready. Then Xan came out walking next to the wolf. I relaxed and noticed a puppy. I smiled and went back into the cave. Then I fell asleep again.

~Corinna~

I watched as another vulmane came back with Xan. I shook my head.

"Who is this?" I asked. The white wolf put down the pup and transformed into human.

"Kain. Nice to meet you Corinna," the guy said holding out his hand. I spit on his shoe. I turned and waved my hand up and down.

"Yeah, whatever. You hurt Stormi or Xan or the baby I will have to kill you." I didn't even bother to look back. I was on a mission and I only watched Xan, Stormi, and the baby. I plumped myself down on the East wall of the cave and sharpened my knife.

Xan~

Kain stiffened and followed close next to Xan, only to be laughed at. "What's wrong Kain? Scared of Corinna?" Xan teased as he lit the fire with a snap of his fingers. Kain shook his head tightly and sat as far away from Corinna as possible. Xan laughed lightly after noticing that Stormi was asleep.

"N-not at all," Kain whispered loudly. **I think when someone says WHISPERED loudly it's hilarious so I wanted to do it** Xan chuckled and prodded the fire before sitting next to Kain.

"So, how has Dalar been?" Xan asked with a small smile as he watched the wolf pup chase its tail. Dalar was Xan's guardian but due to his mate being pregnant he had to travel back to the alpha lands.

"He's been good. Riak is supposed to have the pups in two months, then, if Dalar wants, he can come back," Kain smiled.

"Well, whenever you go back I want you to tell Dalar that he can stay as long as he wants to watch his pups get older and sent to their own owner." Kain just nodded and scratched a small scar on his forehead. "I remember when I gave you that!" Xan laughed lightly. "We got in a fight when we were five and I attacked you after you said something about Faolin being a witch." Kain laughed and nodded.

"Yeah, and you dug your nail right across my forehead," Kain smirked. Xan laughed and nodded, falling onto his side.

"Xan... who's this?" A soft voice asked suddenly. Xan looked up, only to meet Stormi's eyes with his own.

Dante

The path disappeared gradually, eventually becoming a tangled mess of trees growing over the wall and gate of the graveyard. He began pulling branches away from the gate, "Just through here - the rest of the place isn't as bad as this, although mind your step, 'cause there're just tree roots everywhere and you're liable to trip if you're not careful."

He caught snatches of hissed words between Lucky and Adron, smiling a little to himself. No doubt they were normally like this, it just took someone like him to come along and set them off. He enjoyed this kind of thing.

Taking advantage of a moment of silence between the cousins, Dante absentmindedly pulled away a few more branches, at the same time deciding to speak to Lucky without Adron hearing, mind to mind, Does he always treat strangers this well? He felt a shock pulse off her. Don't worry, you're not going crazy. And I'm not reading your mind, just speaking in it.

I blinked, unsure of how and the hell to respond to THAT. Oh my godness I AM crazy. I didn't answer maybe my mnd was playing tricks on me. I looked at Dante's back he didn't turn around he didn't even make eye contact, so surely, I was officially losing it.

"How far is this dump anyways?" Adron asked.

"Have you NO respect for the dead?" I gasped.

"No, not really." He brushed it off.

~Stormi~

"Hi. I am Kain. It's very nice to finally meet you, Stormi," said the man that was with Xan. He looked way older than Xan, but he had to be around fifteen or sixteen or something. I smiled and shook his hand gladly. I watched Corinna spit on the little wolf pups nose. The pup whimpered and ran to Xan.
I watched Kain look at Corinna and look at his shoe.

"Did she spit on your shoe?" I asked Kain. I went to sit next to Xan but I ended up in his lap.

"Yeah. Does she do that to everyone?" Kain asked me. I didn't really know. I hadn't even met this chick until she saved my life and told me I was pregnant.

"I would assume so. She is very tough. I believe she tried to assassinate me once. I am still confused about her. She is nice and then she is mean. I think she was raised rough," I said. Xan put his head down so his chin touched the top of his chest. I looked up and the lady was standing there.

"Amnesia. I have amnesia. I don't remember how it happend. Yes, I tried to assassinate you for my own particular reasons. Now will ya'll stop trying to figure me out? I would like to be left alone and I would also prefer to not be talked about," Corinna said turning and walking away. I felt horrible. I looked at Kain who also had his head down like Xan did. It was like a sign of shame or defeat. I didn't know which one, maybe both. I smiled and kissed Xan's cheek.

~Corinna~

I was angry. They were sitting over there talking about me as if they knew what happend to me and who I really was. I frowned at this. I stood and came out of the cave. I felt Kain's eyes follow me. I finally broke into a run. I found a bear. It was very big. Then their was a young boy. I sighed.

"Where have you been?" I asked him.

"I was looking for her and she just kind of got lost from her own scent trail. There have been two Vulmanes walk through here and I lost track of Stormi's scent. I'm sorry," Dean said putting his head down.

"Yeah. Their are two Vulmanes. Xan and Kain. Honestly, I need some help. Damnit Dean. You're Stormi's guardian! How in the hell did you lose her damn scent?" I yelled at him. He winced and backed up more. I sighed and put my hand around his shoulder.

"You better turn into your horse form before anyone else sees you.....Shadow," I said with a smile. He looked at me and smiled also. He turned into it quickly and I tied a string around his neck for the reins. Dean had lost his reains and saddle when he was knocked off his feet. We headed back to the cave, me pulling his reains lightly and him carrying on a little convorsation.

I finally made it back to the cave.

"Stormi, here's your horse," I said tieing up Dean, er, Shadow to a tree. She looked at me then at the horse.

"How did you find him?"

"Eh, he was prancing around in the feilds, where you were knocked off, neighing like crazy," I said. I watched Xan's expression. I knew that he had seen the boy in place of the horse, but I gave him a look that got him to keep his mouth shut. I walked back outside and layed underneath the moon. It felt so good to not have scars, or to bleed out of my pores. Having Loraine was probably the best thing that I have done in a long time. I turned my head to see Kain beside me.

"It's pretty tonight isn't it," Kain said. I shook my head and stood. I walked over to a different spot and layed down again. I heard Kain sigh and go back inside the cave.

Kain~

So much for a chat. Kain thought as he walked back into the cave. Xan and Stormi where sleeping next to each other, Xan's arms wrapped protectively around Stormi's waist as the wolf pup snored loudly from his spot between the two of them. Kain scratched the back of his neck and walked back out. He lept onto of a small part of the cave top that stuck out slightly and leaned against the rock behind him, hands behind his head. How old was he, truthfully? Eh, Kain didn't remember. The only thing he remembered was being there for Xan's father when both Xan and Faolin were born. And even for Dreamstalker when Xan's mother was born. He sighed and closed his eyes, remembering everything vibrantly.
