I came to the cave in time to see the wolf pup howl as he was wondering to the forest line. The wolf pup turned to the sound of the pounding hooves and wagged his tail, panting. He looked so stupid with his tongue hanging out and everything.
"Come here stupid," I said picking him up. I felt a shiver go down my spine. There was someone watching me. I knew it. I could feel it. I frowned and stuffed the puppy into my bag. I pulled out my knives.
"Who's out there? Show yourself!" I yelled. I looked in every direction waiting for any movements. I saw none and after ten minutes I put my knives back to there spots. I turned with one last glance. Thats when I heard the wisp and felt the sudden pain. It had hit my back. I looked down and saw the crimson head of an arrow poking through my stomach. I tasted the salty blood start to rise to my mouth. I fell back and landed with a thud. I heard boots and looked up. It was Derik. The real one.
He went to my level.
"Any last words?" he asked harshly. I couldn't speak.
"Good," Derik said kicking my side. I rolled over and watched as he threw all of my bags off my horse. He boarded onto the horse and took off. I reached my hand around to my back. I felt the tail of the arrow and gave it a good tug. I screamed in pain as the arrow eased out of my ever so slowly. I felt the bloodied tears stream down my face. I forced myself up. the puppy behind me whining. I walked as fast as I could. The pain made me cringe. The blood was now drooling from my mouth. It tasted so bitter. I fell many times but I had forced myself up again. I had to finish my mission. I had to get to them before Derik did. The pup was trailing behind me lightly. I hunched over as I walked, well, stumbled. My feet got tangled many times in the long wheat colored grass. I felt a presence among me. I knew who it was. I kept stumbling along the horse path. I turned as a wad of horses passed by me. That is when I fainted.

I felt sick. Very sick. I stopped my horse and leaned over. I threw up. It was so freaking nasty. THen my horse got uneasy. It started neighing like crazy. Then it took off. Xan and Kain yelling after me. Then I saw a light. It was very bright and so beautiful. Creatures dived after me and the horse as we winded by. Shadow kept on jumping over them like crazy. Then he stopped in front of a gate. I tree gate. Light shined through it and we didn't have to wait long for it to open. Once it opened, which was a little crack, Shadow charged through it. Then he slowed into a trot. The light seemed to be gone now. I tried to stop Shadow, but he ignored the pulling of reigns. I had lost Xan....again.

Slade woke with a moan. It was dark just I had suspected when she would awake.
"Come on, Slade. We must travel now. This is the only time that we can, is at night," I said. I watched as she changed into her fox form, is what I was going to call it now. Fox form because it was so small. I chuckled to myself and we walked underneath the moonlight. I loved the feeling of the reflection of the moon. I watched as Slade skipped ahead of me.
