~BARTHOLOMEW CHARNE~

I felt a tear ready to fall. I let go of her body and let my head fall to hide the falling tear. I couldn't let her go, but I couldn't let her stay. I didn't know what to do. I was so damn confused. I breathed slowly. I looked back up at her and I could feel my eyes gain their puffiness(okay I know that sounds funny but it is the only way I could put it!). I watched as a tear slowly ran down her face and dropped to the ground to join the dew, the other water droplets. I kissed her softly and backed away.

"Go. Your the princess so you must have a natural instinct on how to get back," Slade looked at me her mouth barely open the tears now stopped. She went foward to kiss me, but I stumbled back.

"What's wrong?" Slade asked. I looked at her the tears leaving my eyes.

"It's hard enough to let you go. If I kiss you......I can never leave the thoughts and memories of you," I said. I looked at her, still no tears falling.

"How can you say that? I will be back. I promise," Slade said coming foward again. I backed up with one foot step.

"I doubt it," and I left it at that. I left her standing there in the courtyard alone. My emotions were all jabbled up in a mix of things. That's when I heard the thunder, saw the lightning, and felt the rain(I LOVE this line). I looked back only to see her gone. I turned and went to the pond we sat at. I threw myself in the water. I wanted so bad to end my life right then, right there. I couldn't find it in me to do it. I sat there in the water going over what just happend and debating on if it was a dream or real.

Slade

I tried so hard not to let the tears fall but it wouldn't work, I cried as I ran and soon had to turn into my wolf form but either way... I left Bartholomew for my people, there was no turning back now.

From what I could tell it was going to take me a few days before I found a Moon Guide, but I'd only come across one in the night and so I was going to have to start sleeping during the day and moving during the night.

"You there!" went the bark of another wolf, it was clearly male. I stopped and looked around. "You're trespassing on Pack territory!" he growled and then I saw him, he was my age or younger, basically still a pup! "State your name!".

"Slade Quirrely, Lost Princess to the Werewolf Kingdom, Daughter of King Nightmoon and Queen Silverclaw, Sister of Queen Willow The New Ruler of the Werewolf Kingdom" the words flowed so smoothly out of my mouth, as if I was programmed to say it.

"Princess Slade is dead!" he barked at me, "now get out of the territory before I have to kill you".

"I can assure you that Princess Slade isn't dead, pup!" I snarled and then realized that more wolves were gathering around me.

"Leave now or we will have to result in your murder" growled an elderly, grey wolf. I howled and slowly walked off, snaps coming at me from every directio but I ignored them.

I slept in a cave outside of their territory the rest of that day but when I awoke, there was an older, jet-black wolf sitting outside of my cave. I sat up in my fighting position, he turned around and looked at me with two, moon colored eyes. The Moon Guide has found... me?.

I looked at the copper headed girl walking out of the cave to talk to me. She was the princess. I could tell by the way she moved.

"Hi. Um....Slade," she said holding out her hand. I looked at it then at her.

"I know. I can't shake hands in wolf form, hun," I said. She was still looking at me in amazement. I saw her whole life that lied before her in her eyes. Then I watched what happend to her the day she went missing. I knew that Zale had something to do with it. I never liked that boy. He was naughty and abusive.

"Shall we be on our way, Princess Slade?" I asked her holding my head in the direction we were to walk. She changed into her wolf form and walked gently on the ground. I was surprised at how small her form was.

"We are going to have to build your form, young lady. I have never seen anyone with that small of a form before," I said. I watched as she whined.

"That's another thing we will have to work on. You can't talk in your wolf form?" I asked her gently. Slade shook her head to the side. I nodded mine and we continued to walk quietly.

I was half way there. Almost to the Dark Kingdom to find King Vlademir. I was angry and this probably wasn't the best idea but I just had an erge to do it. And then there she was. The most beautiful strawberry blonde that I have ever seen. She took my mind off of Slade for a nano second.

I thought she was beautiful and so I went to talk to her. It would do me good considering that I won't ever see Slade again.

"Hi," I said as she pulled her hair out of the water. She must of been washing her hair or something. She stared at me, her blue eyes glowing, burning into mine. There was something special about her. She just seemed to glow from the inside out. She smiled.....

Slade

I walked behind the Moon Guide for what seemed like hours on end but finally we stopped in a small clearing and he turned to me.

"Let me see your Werewolf form" he commanded and I obeyed, turning from the tiny, wolf to the fully grown fire colored werewolf I really was. "Interesting... I would have guessed since you control the wind element your werewolf form would have been brown and silver... Unless... Can you burn things?" he asked me.

"Not that I'm aware of" I said as I changed back into my human form. "Why?" I questioned him and sat cross-legged on the ground, he started telling me a story but my mind drifted off into thinking about Bartholomew and how he thought I'd abandoned him...

I stopped talking after I had realized that Slade wasn't listening. I waited a few minutes of her nodding to my "invisible" words. I wasn't even talking!

"Slade?" I said.

"Yeah, whatever," Slade replied. So i thought I would go crazy with wierd things.

"Yeah, I love you," I said.

"Uh-huh," she said not paying any attention.

"Yeah well I am a guy with girl parts," I said laughing. I looked at her and she just nodded. I thought this was hilarious.

"And scince I have girl parts I am pregnant."

"Yep," Slade said. I laughed so hard I started choking. I got a hold of myself and she still wasn't focussing. I shot water at her. She came out of her daydream.

"I was listening! You didn't have to do that!" Slade yelled. I chortled(Haha, funny word) to myself.

"Really? Then what did I say," I asked. She looked at me and sighed.

"Okay. You caught me. What were you saying?" Slade asked me. I smiled and motioned for her to stand up in her werewolf form. I went into mine and she stared up at my amazed. I was towering over Slade by about ten feet. I smiled.

Bartholomew Charne!

It wasn't but ten minutes and we were talking away. We sat by a waterfall and she jumped lightly onto the rocks. I smiled at her balance. She was skinny and tall. She reached my eyes when Slade only reached my neck. But I am pretty tall. I stared at the young girl dazed as she talked.

"What is your name?" I asked her. I had interrupted her talking but she didn't seem to mind.

"Ruby. What's yours?" Ruby asked in her cheerful voice.

"I'm Bartholomew. I am headed to see King Vlademir," I said. She looked at me longily then to her shoes.

"Oh. A debt, I presume," Ruby said. I nodded. She smiled at me.

"For and old man your werewolf form looks pretty young" I said, turned back into my human form then turned back to a werewolf.

"Yeah well, I'm the Mood Guide. Now... Attack me" he commanded and I smiled, baring my teeth I went after him with full power, bringing my wind with me. When I'd thought I'd gotten him, he dodged it with ease, I looked blankly at him.

"That was horrible, Princess. I'd thought the daughter of King Nightmoon would be a much better fighter than that!" he barked and I growled to myself. Stupid old man..., I thought to myself.

"I heard that young lady," I said as she thought to herself. She looked at me oddly.

"Alright, I want you to stand in a stance with your feet a little past your Flesh Form. Then I want you to hold this leaf and concentrate on it thinking nothing but 'fire'," I said to her. She looked at me confused. I handed her the leaf and she took it. She changed back to her Flesh Form and placed her feet the way I told her to, but she didn't do it right.

"No! Tilt your right foot inward and your left foot outward about a tenth of an inch," I told her. She did it and her stance looked perfect. She took the leaf and held it with both hands between her index fingers and thumbs while the rest of her hand was balled into a fist. Then she stared at the leaf thinking about a boy.

"I said FIRE!," I roared at her. Slade jumped and went to focusing again. She just couldn't seem to get this boy out of her mind. The bad part was it was Bartholomew Charne. The son of Gerrik Charne and Jacy Lucyan, the most powerful sorceress that I have ever known. She died proudly and Gerrik was banned from our regions. He wasn't but a friendly Vampire at one point until he also died. I can't imagine Bartholomew now with his Sorcerer and his Vampire powers. I thought that he was dead, but apparently not. This is something that I would need to handle myself.

~Corinna~

I couldn't believe that I had done that with Kain. Now every where I went his eyes would follow me. Sometimes when Xan and Stormi were busy with something, he would come up and goose, peck, or just hold me. Honestly, it was good to feel wanted, but I needed to stay focused on my job, getting these kids to the Goodess. I packed every one's things once they all went to take baths in the springs. They came back after about thirty minutes.

"What are you doing? Where is all my stuff?" Stormi asked looking around. Then, Xan freaked out.

"Oh no! We've been robbed!" I laughed and they all stared at me like I was a crazed idiot, even Kain. This made me laugh harder.

"What in the hell is so damn funny? This is serious Corinna," Kain said sourly as if he was tired of me already. I frowned at this and gave him the death stare.

"We have to get a move on if we are to make it to the Goodess on time. I have to get y'all there and return to other tasks that I need to get done. We have been here for three day's. That's four days behind schedule. I have horses and everything, and fast ones to. We won't stop for no reason at all. Your horse has your stuff on it," I said. They all looked at me like I spoke a different language.

"Did I stutter? Let's go!" I yelled at them. They moved slowly at first, but when I pulled out my knives they were on fire. I boarded my horse.

"Alright, push these horses until there noses bleed. If you have to pee, too bad. If your hungry, eat your fingers. I'm not playing around anymore," I said clicking my heels against the horse lightly until they all catched on. Then I pounced on the horses back and pushed foward and off he went. I felt the thundering of all of the horses behind me. I was serious to get there and I didn't stop at all. I could hear all of the others laughing. Then I remembered that we forgot something. The wolf pup. I stopped my horse and they did the same.

"What are y'all doin'? Keep on going! I forgot something and I will catch up. Don't stop for anything. Kain, don't let anything happen to them," I yelled as my horse shoved on to the cave.....

~Stormi~

I didn't know what to do other than what Corinna said to do. I rushed my horse onward and we were on a good trail. That's when we hit a three way trail. We stopped for an instant before heading for the middle one. I don't think that was a good idea, but all of the trails had to end up in the same spot. Kain had me between him and Xan. I happily did that because these woods had a creep to them.

~Bartholomew Charne~

I love the way Ruby talked. She had an Old English Human Being accent to her voice. I thought it was cute. I smiled as she talked then the sun started to set.

"Oh! I-I got to go!" Ruby said. She jumped off of the rock and ran past the pool of water where she washed her hair picking up a pail full of that water. I didn't bother chasing her because I could see her clearly with my vision. That's when I watched her go through the Dark Kingdom gates when I remembered what I was here for. I rushed off into that direction.

"State name and purpose!" came a yell from the wall in front of the gate gage.

"Bartholomew Charne. Debt to King Vlademir," I said steadily. The gates were dropped immediately and I was greeted by King Vlademir.

"I knew you would come to your senses," he said giving me a half evil smile. I kept my face emotionless.

~Shadedsun~

I had to put Slade to a midday nap. The only thing that she could do with fire was make a small poof stream of smoke. It saddened me, but not every one is fast at learning. I watched as her eyes fell hastily as she laid her head on a stone. I watched her sleep. I thought it was amazing that Slade was declared dead and had the guts to come back. That was my granddaughter for sure.

*I suggest that the technology level be similar in some ways to that of the early 1700s, with guns, and steam engines.*

*also, it would be instrumental in introducing my characters into the story if Stormi was injured or sick*

***Okay, Pundit I appreciate your suggestions but this is my storybook. Everyone has been getting along well with their own ideas of things. Some characters live in different enviroments such as Stormi, Corinna, Genivee, Shadedsun, Bartholomew (My characters) and Ruby, Slade(Miss Slade's characters) and Alexandrite, Faolin (Chupatoasta's characters) live in a old theme. If you have followed along in the story book then you would know this. Also, Stormi is to not get injured or sick anytime soon. We don't plan out our writings we just make them up as it comes.

This is the last warning about this short, non-related to the storybook information. This goes on in the discussion forum. I don't mean to sound harsh and I am sorry if I do. I hope this got my point across.***
