I am! I am!

I'm going help run a Harry Potter party at a local bookshop. There's going to be cookies and lots of little kids and I'm so excited!

I would answer your poll, but I don't know who you mean by DD.

Sounds like fun Sarah. I'll probably go to one of the book stores to check out the action. Sadly, I can't buy it now and probably won't get it until Chanuka.
Please, sit down before you fall down.

Possibly Dumbledore?

I heard that some copies were accidentally sold and a there was a strict gag order placed on those who got them.

I'm actually kind of sad it's coming out because now we're only one book away from the conclusion, and also because you know somebody's going to die in this one. :(

Some one died in the last one, I was sad.... Even though HP can annoy me and I say its boring I NEED to get the new one... And if Dumbledore dies then I'll cry.

Harry is just too lucky for his own good. Just cos he has a scar on the side of his forehead.

Of course I want the next HP book! The Harry Potter series is what got me into fantasies in the first place!

There is one thing I don't get: Why does everyone seem to want to be the first to get it? marching_gurl89 seriously asked me if I would meet her at Target on Sat. at 7:45 AM! I am so not getting up early on the one day I get to sleep in JUST TO GET A BOOK! Plus my piano teacher said they're 2 bucks cheaper at Meijer's, so since my dad will almost inevitably be going there on Saturday, I'll have him pick me up a copy. I'll get it, I'll read it, I'll get my beauty sleep, and I'll be happy. Not a big deal. I just think it's silly that people are so obsessed with getting it RIGHT AWAY. No offense to those people, but as far as I'm concerned, it's just like every other book I've read. It's got a front cover, a back cover, a spine, a book jacket, and a bunch of paper inside. The only real difference between this book, the other 5 books, and every other book is the words inside. That's what counts.

Just a random question: How did these books get so much media hype in the first place?

They were interesting....

And you got to admit, they are. I read all the books twice and never got bored. xD

I just hope the new book isn't even thicker than the last one.

It isn't. I heard it's shorter than the fifth book.

Besides, J.K. Rowling is a GENIUS. Have you ever reread the books and caught all the little clues that lead to the rest of the series?? It's insane!

Anyway, I'm soooo mad 'cuz I'm gonna be CAMPING on Saturday. MILES away from the nearest bookstore. And I don't get back until Sunday, and you can bet I'm gonna beg my parents to take me to the mall where I got the last book. Grrrrr.

I preordered mine at B&N...there's a party there that lasts until 12 and then everyone who ordered a book gets one. :P I think we're going.

[SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ THE FIFTH BOOK]

Somehow I ended up at the bookstore at midnight when one of the books came out (I'm almost certain it was the fourth one). I don't know why, because I'm not obsessed with Harry Potter (not that I dislike all the books...I do think that Rowling is a good writer, etc., but not to the point where I'm a totally big fan or anything). Personally I could care less if Dumbledore, or if anyone, dies. When Sirius died I didn't care; it amazes me that anyone could cry over that. Anyway, I have no idea how I ended up at that bookstore at midnight (since I'm not a Harry Potter freak, and neither are my friends, and I'm not the type of person who would go) and I don't remember exactly why I went or who I went with. It's sort of fun to see all the weirdos, though, the people who show up wearing robes and hats and act obsessed...you're like, it's just a book, people...
