Cody

"Not much." She shrugged.

I nodded understandingly. My eyes flickred to Wesley's face, she was staring at me. She looked afraid, although I wasn't one to really know emotions.

"What about you?" I asked her.

She blinked for a second, then realized that I was talking to her. What I would give to see her smile, just once.

Wesley & Erin - 17 & 13 - Elvin & Elvin/Werewolf - Night Lands

"I know that the Night Keeper isn't to be toyed with, he can make illusions that can feel, smell and look as real as you and me. I've heard survivor's talking about the games before, talking about how evil the Night Keeper is... about how his sister can burn someone from the inside out..." I said and shuddered at thinking of Addison, atleast, that's what they said her name was. "Zachariah knows everything going on in the Night Lands, everything happening in his illusions... he even knows what our emmotions are...".

"He... know's what we think!?" Cody said a bit to loud, making me and Erin shrink back.

"Let me down!" Erin yelled out after a bit of silence and so I put her down and she transformed into a wolf with amber eyes and started staring at a tree just at the edge of the small clearing we were in. "I can, smell something..." she barked and I stared at Cody and Max, both of them had the same shocked expression as me. None of us would have guessed this girl was a werewolf.

"Erin... What do you smell?" I asked her, confused then I looked to Cody who had stiffened and clenched his fists.

Cody

My nails bit into my palms, not that I had any, but my palms started to bleed. Erin whimpered and covered her nose with her two paws. I closed my eyes feeling the blood drip onto the dirt ground.

"Cody..." Max's voice sounded far away even though he was next to me it seemed to echo. "Cody? Cody... ody... ody... ody. What's going on? What's going on? What's going on? On? On?"

"Cody?" Wesley's voice came crashing over me like a large wave, she reached up and put a hand on my shoulder, it was cold. I looked down into her beautiful big chocolate brown eyes. I shook my head slowly. "Are you ok?" She asked concern in her eyes.

"I'm fine." I blinked, I took her hand in mine, my hand was on fire. "Your cold." I said it as a statment instead of a question.

She nodded.

When he had taken my hand in his he felt like a burning flame.

"Your cold" he had told me and I nodded.

"I'm always cold..." I whispered and looked into his eyes, if it wasn't for Max's interupting cough I would have stayed in that passition forever.

Max cleared his throat.

"Not to be rude by all means keep holding each others hand." He rolled his eyes. "But we happen to have a game of some sort to be in." He growled.

Erin whimpered again.

I took off my jacket. "Here." I handed it to her. "It gets pretty cold. Now, lets get a move on."

I put Cody's jacket on and I heard Erin bark under her breath which I guessed was a laugh because the jacket was so long on me, I smiled and giggled and to then saw Max roll his eyes and Cody flash him a warning look which Max ignored.

"First thing we should do is find water and shelter, then go from there" Cody said, keeping his distance from the group, especially me. He gives you his jacket then keeps his distance away from you...? I asked myself and sighed.

"Well duh!" Max said and frowned, "What are we going to do about food?" he asked and Cody groaned.

"Gee, I don't know! They want us to die Max, the shadows want us to have reasons to kill each other! Just shut up and let me think!" Cody yelled and continued his way forward. Erin had shrunk back behind me and started whimpering, she changed back and looked at me with her puppy dog brown eyes.

"Can you carry me again?" she asked and I picked her up and gestured to Max that we should follow Cody before we lost him.

I was angry, I didn't know why, no scratch that, I was frusterated and irrated, why couldn't we run into someone? why couldn't I just be alone?

"Ok, could you not walk so close?...... Please?" I asked Max.

Max stayed behind me a couple of steps, so did the others. I can't get close to anyone, if I lost someone I didn't know what I would do, especially Wesley. She smelled feminine, like strawberries and cream, like.... family. Something I'd lost a long time ago. I couldn't lose her too, losing her would be like being lost to the world and the ironic thing was I didn't even know her...

**Sorry I haven't posted for a bit. I had to go to Mississippi for the day to watch my cousin get baptised :P The joys of a crying baby when water is thrown on its head <---sarcasm**

Frost ~ 16 ~ Were/Vamp ~ Night Lands

Frost studied Brahn closely, her ice blue eyes following every muscle, crevice, and crack over his body. There wasn't a single spot on his upper body that lacked muscle. He smirked and leaned back, the sudden movement making Frost jump backwards, her pelt raised. He obviously found this humorous, for he was still smirking. A growl rumbled low in Frost's chest as she lowered her white head, the azure jewel strapped around her neck glinting in the sunlight. He found her funny. Of all things she humored him! Wait... did he know that it was her? No, he probably just thought of her as some stray wolf... with the same shaped scar over her right eye. Yeah, that was it! She looked back over at him and crept closer, taking rounds around him as she studied every inch. Every scar had its own tale, which she easily found out. He was glorious. Magnificent even!

The poor fellow, his past was so dark. So saddening. Her attention caught on a certain scar on his back. It reached from one shoulder blade to the other and was quite old looking. Maybe four or five years. Hmm. Frost pressed her cold nose against it, trying to find out what happened. Brahn stiffened at the touch but soon calmed, his muscles going back to normal. Frost continued to concentrate, irratation getting the better of her. She snorted and nudged Brahn's arm, sticking her nose back on the scar as if to ask him what happened.

Somewhere, while the four of us made our way through the forest, Erin had gone to sleep in my arms and was now breathing slowly. Cody was still walking ahead of us and I was still wearing his long jacket that smelled earthy.

"What do you think the first game'll be?" Max asked Cody and he shrugged and just kept walking.

"I think Zachariah will have something difficult for us to play first..." I said and Cody stopped...

Brahn, 18, Night Lands

Brahn stiffened as the wolf touched one of his scars, the only one that still brought him pain. He looked down at the wolf as she nudged his arm, sticking her nose back onto the scar. Brahn sighed, thinking of the best way to explain what his father had done. "When I was fourteen;" he began, rubbing his head. "I desperately wanted to get away from my parents, so I took up my blades to my father, and stabbed him in the gut. Thinking he was dead, I went to my sisters' room and decapitated them both, then continued outside the the laundry hook. As I advanced on my mother, something struck me in the back and ripped right through my flesh. I hadn't fully killed my father, and he was fighting back. In one swift movement I stabbed him through the heart, then turned to my mother, who was on her knees begging me to stop, to spare her. But I didn't. I drove my blade straight through her heart, then walked away. Ever since that day, the memories of what I did to them, how I killed all of them, wont leave me alone. I am a troubled man, caught in a boys body. I thought I was going to be free of murder, but then I was caught, and here I am, about to do once more what I've done so well." The wolf seemed to falter, looking at him with awe-filled eyes, and sat down beside him. "You remind me of someone I once loved, Frost." He said in a low tone, hiding a smirk at the wolf's sudden surprise of his knowledge of her identity.

Frost ~ 16 ~ Were/Vamp ~ Night Lands

"Just ruin all the fun why don't you," she barked sarcastically, shifting into her human form. She rubbed her eye and just stared at him for a while before standing up and stretching. "You want to eat with Shinar and myself? He found a cave about five minutes from here in we run. I can start up a fire to cook the deer I killed a while ago." She stated as if he hadn't just admitted to killing his entire family. She jogged over to the bush and yanked out the dead dear, flinging it over her shoulders before transforming into her wolf form again. "Coming or not?" She smiled toothily. "We can walk it you want... I might even tell you about my eye..."

Cody

"That guy is STILL alive?" I asked refuring to ol' Zacky poo.

"Well honestly what did you expect? He's the only one who CAN run the night games." Wesley shrugged.

I groaned. "Well now where to? I can't see anything in this bloody fog."

"We wait?" Max asked.

I bit my lip to keep from smiling, wow this really was his first year, he would learn.

"No, Wesley and I will go this way and you can take Erin and go that way, if we don't find anything in fifteen minutes, we meet back here? Com prende?" I asked.

Max swallowed and nodded. "What should I expect?"

"Anything and everything, c'mon Wes." I said as we walked away from Erin and Max, I truely hoped they would be OK.

"What are we looking for?" Wesley's soft voice invaded my ears.

"Firewood." I said chumly. I stopped the fog covering us I couldn't tell what was where, I turned to look in Wesley's eyes, as soon as I looked into them she quickly bowed her head and looked down.

I turned my head curiously. I put my warm hand against her chilly cheek. "Why are you afraid of me?" I asked. I searched her big brown eyes for something, just something. I saw a glint of something.

Anger? Happiness? Frightfulness? What was it?

Brahn, 18, Night Lands

Brahn smirked and stood up. "I haven't eaten in almost a week." Frost smiled and waited for him to catch up. "We can run, I can keep up." Frost began to run, Brahn hot on her tail. Together they ran for what seemed like five minutes. Brahn stopped at the mouth of the cave, hearing growling coming from inside.

Wesley - 17 - Elvin - Night Lands

I'd been almost reluctant to leave Erin with Max, but knowing that Cody had intrusted her with him I just let it be. When the fog started to cover us my heart was beating way to fast and that was when Cody put his hand on my cheek and asked me why I was afraid of him. Afraid... How could I be afraid of him, in love would have been a better definition but I'd just met the guy for crying out loud!. Looking away he took his hand and made it where the only thing I could look at where his eyes.

"Why are you afraid of me?" he asked again, looking for something in my eyes. And what he should have seen was so obvious I bet even Erin and Max had noticed it.

"How could I be afraid of you?" I answered him in a whisper. "What I feel is far, far from fear"...

Erin Anderson - 13 - Elvin/Werewolf - Night Lands

"Your very weird" I said to Max as we walked together, looking for whatever we could find.

"And your very short" he said back and I glared at him, letting out an annoyed growl and I heard him laugh.

"You know, it isn't like I've never killed anybody before" I said and max gave me a questioning glance but I ignored it. Wesley, Cody... please be safe..., I thought to myself and continued walking...

Frost ~ 16 ~ Were/Vamp ~ Night Lands

Frost howled into the cave, getting a shout to shut up in return. She chuckled and transformed back into her regular form, dropping the deer on the ground. In one swift motion she'd ripped the deers hind leg off and threw it into the dark, where jaws clamped down on it hungrily. "You're a pig," Frost said into the darkness.

"So are you," a deep growl retaliated.

"I'm going to get some firewood so I can cook the deer. You want to come Brahn?" Frost asked, turning her gaze to the surprised man beside her.

"He can talk?" Brahn questioned, an astonished eyebrow cocked.

"When he wants to," Frost laughed lightly at Shinar's growls, "So you want to help me gather some?"
