Linda

Linda glared at the soc boy standing next to her, "I'd get out of here if I were you, before Jace comes back."
He sneered at her, "You wouldn't want to take me yourself?"
She turned away, "Don't tempt me kid. You insulted me. That wouldn't have gone unpunished, but Jace has already given you the scare you deserve."
"He didn't scare me. Neither do you."
Linda laughed, and flashed her blade slightly at her side. The boys eyes grew wide as he spoke, "You wouldn't."
She slipped the blade back into her pocket, "You're right," the kid grinned cruelly before she continued, "I don't sink to your level."
The kids face twisted into an angry snarl, "watch yourself, greaser. You're not on your home turf no more."
Linda was about to reply, when some loud guffaws split the air. "Guess your luck's running out, kid. He's back."
The soc turned fearfully towards the end of the street, starting to back away, but stopped as Jason came around the corner. Linda stared at the strange scene in front of her and the boy starting laughing. He ran off as Jason's ride tripped on a rock and flew down at her feet, Jason sliding forward into her legs.
He laughed as he looked up, "Hey Linds." but she just stared at the other boy.
Zach looked up, "Bonjour Mademoiselle. A little help?"

***okay, Leal, ben, danny, and a group of socs are on the street arguing, Zach and Jason got bored and ran off, and have bumped into Linda who was threatening a Soc that Jason had previously caught, and Malinda is still at home... I think**

Zach

He was sprawled on the rough concrete, Jason still lying on his back, and a Greaser girl watching on with a mix of disgust and amusement. He was slowly losing the ability to suck air back into his lungs, and there was a stabbing pain in his left knee.

"Uh, mon ami, could you get off? Little trouble breathing here," He said, craning his head to look at Jason.

"Sure," Jason replied with a grin, "You're not very comfortable anyway."

"Jason, what the hell are you doing?"

Jason looked up at Linda, took her outstretched hand, and scrambled off Zach's back. "I was going to have a fight, but then saw that Leal and Ben were there, so I grabbed lover boy here and left."

"You're an idiot, you know that Jase?" Linda said with a shake of her head. She looked down at Zach, who was quite happy staying on the ground now that the weight had been removed from his back, "And you are too. I thought you were a Soc."

Zach beamed, "I am."

Linda frowned, glaring at Jason, then Zach, then back at Jason. "You of all people know socs and greaser's don't mix. He's new, he's got an excuse, but you can't claim ignorance, Jason!"
Jason brushed himself down. "Linda, you're twenty-something, right? You of all people should realise how childish all this is."
"Childish? You were just getting a piggyback from a french guy!"
Jason grinned and shrugged. "Difference is, that was fun. Fighting all the time is just tiring."
Linda rolled her eyes. "Is that all you care about? Fun?"
Jason thought for a moment. "Yeap."
Linda shook her head. "You're going to get yourself in trouble, with both us, and them." She pointed to Zach, who was watching with amusement.

Linda

"Sticking with your friends isn't childish," Linda ignored the french boys smile, "Keeping them alive isn't childish. The Socs have no trouble jumping us for the smallest things, but you want to befriend them!!!"
Jace laughed, "Calm down, Linds."
The french boy glanced sideways at him then addressed Linda, "Perhaps this isn't a good idea. But your american ideas of loyalty are...amusant."
Linda glared at him, "I don't know what you just said, but our ideas mean we don't get hurt or killed. Is that so bad?"
Jason snorted, "whatever."

Linda glared at Jason.
"You don't get it, Linda. What are we fighting for? In ten years, where will we be? In jail. Dead. On drugs. What's the point in beating up the rich kids? Why don't we try and make friends with them?"
"If it means you turn your back on your friends, then no Soc is worth the effort!"
Jason shook his head. "You don't get it. You won't be a greaser too much longer, Linda. You will be a woman playing with children."

Zach

Zach watched the argument between the two greasers with amusement. The boy seemed to have some sense underneath that mop of hair, but the girl seemed very stubborn, very stuck in her own ideals.

"For fucks sake, Zach!"

Zach twisted his head to see Danny running towards him, blood dripping down his face and on his knuckles, but otherwise unhurt. Zach grinned and got to his feet, turning to face the Soc.

"What were you doing?" Danny demanded, striding up to him and stopping so close their bodies nearly touched. "Do you have any idea how it looks to have you and that... that greaser run off together?" He fumed, leering over Zach.

Zach laughed nervously, "It was just a bit of fun..."

Zach stumbled backwards as Danny's fist connected with his face.

Jason turned. "What the F-" Zach stumbled into him, blood dripping down his face. Jason steadied him.
"See, Jason? See what happens?" Linda yelled, glaring at all three of them.
"Shut up, Linda. Danny, what the hell?"
"Shut up, Greaser! You caused this! Keep out of my goddam business!"
Jason glowered, and tried to catch Zach's arm too late as he launched himself at the larger Soc, punching Danny square in the stomach. Danny bent slightly, smacking Zach again while wheezing slightly.
Jason swore under his breath, and jumped Danny from behind, wrestling him to the ground. A fist, Jason was unsure who's it was in the mess, lashed out and sent pain exploding through his jaw.
