Ben:

"Chances are they will, sooner or later. They've got no concept of what work is, everything they've ever needed or wanted they've just been able to ask for. They'll stand no chance when they get into the real world, because they've never worked a day in their life."

She raised an eyebrow at him, amused, "Oh? And you're different?"

His smile widened, "I suppose not, except I don't really care, 'cause I've never had a nice house or anything that they've had."

Leal:

Leal shrugged. "This is better in a lot of ways. YOu never have to worry about how you look, talk, or act. No one who matters judges you because you have a ton of money." She sighed. "I don't miss it."

"Really?" He asked as they walked.

"No, it was always about apperances. Always about how we dressed, acted, and talked. If I ate a lot I was a pig, if I didn't eat a lot I was bilemic." She shook her head. "It was CRAZY!"

Jason looked up to see a young soc kid running towards them, obviously pissed off.
"What's wrong, soc-kid?" Jason reached out and grabbed him by the collar.
"You bloody greasers! Danny has not gone soft!"
"I didn't say that."
"Your greaser friend did." The kid struggled, glaring up at Jason.
Linda sighed. "Jase, he's just a kid."
Jason nodded. "I won't hurt him..."
The kid looked relieved.
"...too much." Jason grinned.

Zach

Zach grinned, finding that Danny's annoyance at not being able to hear his full conversation with Melinda was rather enjoyable. He twirled the straw in his fingers, "Of course chéri. I would love to come out with you and your lovely friend."

Danny's eyes narrowed. "What's happening?"

Zach smirked and covered the phone with his hand, "I do believe I have just been asked out on a date with the lovely Melinda and her friend."

"When?"

"Tonight," Zach replied casually, uncovering the phone and turning his attention back to Melinda. "Le chéri désolé, j'ai été distrait.* What were you saying?"

"Is Danny there with you?"

Zach glanced at Danny, nodded, "Yes chéri."

"Do you think I could talk to him, for just a second?" Melinda's voice was sweet, charming.

"Of course." Zach replied with a smile.

*Sorry darling, I was distracted.

Melinda-

"Hello." She heard Danny's voice on the other line, keeping the same tone she replied as sweetly as possible.

"Oh good, do you want to come out with Molly, Zach, and me tonight." Melinda rolled her eyes as Danny took his sweet time thinking about her offer.

"I guess I could rearrange my schedule, for you." He replied.

"Great. You and Zach pick me and Molly up at my house at ten. Be quiet about it, we're going to have to sneak out." I commanded, "Give Zach the phone back."

"Bonjour?" Zach said in his adorable accent.

"Hello again. I already told Danny, but you two are picking me and Molly up at ten here. And please please please be quiet, if my parents hear us we will se be dead."

"Oh, d'accord*." He replied, but I could hear the drop in his tone.

"Bye for now." I cooed.

"Jusqu'à ce soir**." He answered. We hung up and I went to my closet to pick out an outfit. Something...sexy.

* okay

** Until tonight. (I think that is right anyways.)

Ben:

He laughed, "Jesus. What a bunch of freaks. Who'd want money if it did that to you?"

She smiled wanly, simply shrugging in reply, "I dunno. I guess they don't really realise it. They don't have anything to compare it to, so they just decide that their way of life must be the best way. It's disgusting. And then, if you can't keep up appearances, they just hang you out to dry. That wouldn't happen among the greasers."

"Makes you want to get back at them, doesn't it?"

"Yeah, I guess you could put it that way."

"Well, it shouldn't be too much longer now before either word reaches Danny that we're calling him soft, or some of his kiddies decide that they want to deal with the greasers themselves, given that their leader won't do anything about us." He raised his voice as he spoke, making sure that any soc in the immediate vicinity wouldn't be able to help hearing him.

Leal:

Leal laughed and watched as a group of five socs walked over their fists clenched.

"DOn't talk about Danny like that!" A girl hissed.

"Oh, I'm sorry, that was to nice wasn't it." Leal laughed. "Danny is a pansy that sends kids to do his dirty work." She grinned.

Zach

Zach flipped the phone closed and slid it into his pocket, "You're coming too?" He asked Danny, fighting to keep a certain disappointment from his voice. Having anyone else join them wouldn't have bothered him, but Danny was another story.

Danny nodded, unable to keep a slight smirk off his face. "Yeah, can't leave you with two girls all by yourself. You'd be so lost."

"n'est pas que la vérité*" Zach muttered, twirling his straw again.

"What's that mea-"

"Danny, Danny!" A young soc ran into the diner, cutting Danny off. Both Danny and Zach turned to the girl who hurried over to them, breathing heavily.

"What's the problem Jasmine?" Danny asked, voice laced with worry. It wasn't every day his Socs lost their smirks and freaked out like this.

"Greasers. In our. Side of. Town." She said, panting. "Saying you've. Gone soft."

Danny threw Zach a look and got to his feet, "Coming Zacharie? It's about time you get to see how we operate."

Ben:

He picked up on the insult quickly, "Still too nice, he doesn't 'send' them to do his dirty work, he's probably too scared of them to order them about like that. He just needs them to help him out, because he's not enough of a man to do anything himself."

One of them looked over her shoulder and smirked, "Well, you're about to eat your words, aren't you? Here he comes now."

Ben looked passed them to see Danny and the French kid walking towards them, a few other socs moving towards them. He grinned, "Oh, and look at this. Danny finally shows up, and he needs what," he looked over the five in front of him, then to Danny, then to the newcomers, "Seven and counting to deal with just two greasers." He shook his head, "I might not be great at maths, but I even I can see that's a fair few more than he should need."

Zach

Zach walked alongside Danny, his hands shoved in his pockets and a playful smirk on his face. He'd seen plenty of street fights back home, but never one on such a scale as this. The idea of labelling someone a Greaser or a Soc, and the way the two sides had their own individual gangs operating within the catergory was a new concept. He was used to one-on-one fights, or every man for himself.

He heard what the male greaser said, in that amused tone, and laughed. When the greaser glared at him, he ran a hand through his hair, "It's quicker to dig a hole when you have more shovels, no? After all, have to bury the bodies before anybody notices."

Danny smirked, "Not like anybody would notice if one of this lot went missing anyway," He took a step towards Leal, "No one to notice if this one did; Mother killed herself, Father so drunk he can barely walk." He added for Zach's benefit.

Leal scowled, stepping up to Danny, "You don't know-"

Danny laughed, cutting her off, "We know all about you honey. You're not even a has-been; you're just a wanna-be."

Ben:

He grinned at Danny, "Course that's what you say now, but what if you lost all your cash, Danny-boy? What then? Would you be a has-been?"

Danny looked to him with a laugh, "Oh? And what the hell would you know about cash?"

"Not too much, as you no doubt know. But then, what would you understand about loyalty?"

Danny frowned, "Excuse me?"

"Well, you pretty much said it yourself. Who'd miss her if she went missing? The greasers, obviously. Same goes for me. Go ahead and laugh," he was smiling, but his eyes had narrowed now. It was clear he meant business, "But you're just a soc. Your whole life is based on money, the second that goes, you've got nothing, and your gang'll just dump you and run. Greasers have nothing to lose, we stick together."

Jason turned the corner, spotted the group of socs around Ben and Leal and grinned.
"Hey! Lover boy!"
Sure enough, one of them turned around. It was Zach.
"Care to tell me what's going on, buddy?"
Leal looked disgusted. "You called him buddy?"
Jason ignored her, grinning at the french boy.
"Well, it seems my friends and your friends don't get along."
Jason looked sad. "Shame."
He pounced, landing on Zach's back and twisting his arms around him, refusing to let go.
"Hello, buddy."

Zach

Zach struggled a little, grabbing Jason's legs to hold him up. He grinned and spun around, "It is such a shame, mon ami*.Though watching a fight would entertain me greatly."

Ben, Leal, and Danny all watched the pair with mixed disgust.

"Jason, what the hell are you doing?" Leal growled, stalking over to her fellow greaser and roughly grabbing his arm.

"Ow, don't be so harsh," Jason pouted. "He's my friend."

"He's a Soc you moron," She retorted. "He can't be your friend."

Zach laughed, twirling Jason around some more, breaking Leal's hold on the older boy's arm. He stopped and faced Leal, "And this is why your american way of thinking is flawed, chéri**." He stumbled a bit, dizzy from the spinning.

"They look pissed, lover boy." Jason grinned at the faces glaring at him.
"Yeah, you americans need to lighten up." Zach span again, sending Jason's head in a whirl. "Woah... enough spinning... onwards and upwards, lover boy!" Jason pointed vaguely, and laughed.
Leal glared at Jason suspiciously. "Are you drunk?"
"Me, drunk? Don't worry love. I'll be fine with my trusty steed, don't stay up worrying." Jason caught Leal's expression and tapped Zach's shoulder. "Quick! Run!"
"Yes, before the monstre d'asphalte vilain gets us."
Zach ran off, Jason clinging to his back.

No, it's not that you didn't succeed. You accomplished a lot, but, if you want to touch people, don't concentrate so much on rhyme and metre. Think more about what you want to say instead of how you're saying it.
