Leal:

Leal heard the french like she was back in Paris. She growled and stormed over Ben on her tail. "Fermé, Soc, vous n'avez aucun indice ce qui votre parler!"* She hissed at the Soc. She looked at Jason and then back at the Soc.

"Ah, ainsi vous parlez français?**" The Soc smiled. Ben and Jason looked at her then back at the Soc.

"Écoutez, moi savons votre nouveau à l'école et toutes et le ya au moment où je veux vraiment vous blesser. Mais I' ; m allant s'abstenir à lui et les garder de lui aussi. Si vous partirez !***" She hissed glaring at him. He laughed at that. She glared and felt Ben tense next to her. "Listen, Soc, I'm warning you get the hell out of here!"

"Let him play." Jason grinned standing up and walking over. "With his flattery and everything, this should be fun."

"Jason stop acting like one of them." She hissed at him. He just shrugged.

"Least I never was." He smiled. She clinched her fists and the Soc looked at her.

***By the way, when you talk in another language put in a translation so those of us that don't know how to speak French know what your saying. Also, here is a good site for translations. http://babelfish.yahoo.com/?fr=404 ***
Here are the translations.

*Shut the hell up, Soc, you have no clue what your talking about!

**Oh, so you speak french?

***Listen, I know your new to school and all and ya at the moment I really want to hurt you. But I'm going to refrain from it and keep them from it too. If you will leave!

Jason grinned wider at Leal.
"Oh come on, I was just looking for some kind of fun."
"Greasers don't go beat on socs for the hell of it!"
"No, we just slash their tyres and throw insults at them while running away. What if I'm sick of being the underdog?"
Leal growled. "You weren't always a greaser yourself."
"No, you're right. But I'm here now, that's what counts!"
The french dude looked from Leal to Jason, and back to Leal.
"Excusez-moi?"
Jason turned and glared at the soc. "What do you want?"
He watched the stranger's grin widen. That just annoyed Jason, and his fist balled up tighter.
"If you two are going to fight like a couple after too much champagne, can I go now?"
It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.

*would you guys mind putting your character name at the top so I know who is who, I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks.*

Melinda-

I walked through the park concentrating more on my cell phone than my surroundings. I was graced with good looks, poise, and money. The earth around me was wet and a rain drop fell on my phone's screen. The limo was following about a block behind, my dad thought I didn't know I was being followed.

I heard some french that I half understood and looked to a group of greasers. There was one person there that didn't belong. A new kid at school, a new soc. Zach something or other. He was french. Oh la la.

They all looked like they were about to fight and it was beneath a soc to fight a greaser. I had to save him from a social suicide. If he fought them and lost, it wouldn't bode well amongst the others.

"Excuse me," I said, walking up smiling at Zach. I made very careful not to get to close to any of the greasers, "Zach, right?" I took him by the arm, "I don't believe we have been formally introduced. Walk with me?"

Zach:

Zach looked at the blonde girl who had taken his arm, looked down at her hand, and back up into her blue eyes. He let a grin float onto his face and took a sweeping bow. "évidemment mon cher. Un avec comme de jolis yeux comme le vôtre devraient avoir qu'elle veut."* He brought her hand to his lips. "My name is Zacharie, but you can call me Zach. You are?"
Melinda smiled, glad she managed to distract the new boy. "Melinda."
"Pleasure to meet you, mon cher**. Now, about this walk. I would be delighted if you could show me to the nearest cafe." He said smoothly, starting to lead her away. A fight with the Jason boy would've been fun, but La Prostituée*** would not be pleased if he came home a mess.

Jason

Jason scowled at the backs of the frenchman and the soc girl. "Bloody socs. See, now we've gone and let them get away."
Leal rolled her eyes. "Jase, go find something else to distract yourself with."
"What do you suggest?"
"I don't know, but stop picking on people smaller then you."
"You're kidding, right? The frenchy was more then capable of a fight, you saw him!"
"Whatever."
Jason turned, winking at Leal. "I dunno about you, but I'm going to go see what lover boy does in is free time." He followed after the two departing socs, whistling casually.
It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.

*We need some new dudes in here. Hey, Rory, since Frenchie over there is starting you claim you, could we have a love triangle? You know, my dude and Zach fighting over Melinda?*

Name: Danny Schmidt (his friends call him Danny Boy)
Group: Soc
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Appearance: He's got chestnut hair that isn't really short or long. It's a bit messy, but he thinks it makes him look good. He's got brown eyes and fair skin. He's tall and muscular.
Weapon of choice: Usually fists. It's better for the aggression. But he does own a gun... heh.
Personality: He's definitely a leader. Most consider him the head Soc, even though he tends to share that part with one or two other Socs. He's a cool dude, who loves to goof off with his friends. He's a rebel, and likes to mess with his teachers, though ends up getting pretty good grades. A lot of the Soc girls cling to him, but he really doesn't much like many of them, but he flirts with them a lot anyway.
Background: He lives with his older brother, Kendrick, and parents. His parents are pretty good, but always favored his brother over Danny, which resulted in teenage rebellion coming from Danny.
Other: He's a quarterback on the football team.
_______________________________

Danny and a few of his friends walked into diner, laughing loudly as they strode in. They caught attention immediately. Though the diner was an unofficially proclaimed hangout for Socs, Danny's presence was taken in with muted respect.

Danny went right up to the counter and leaned against it casually. "Hey, Scottie, get us four shakes over here," he called to the young man behind the counter. Scottie, who was really a nobody, nodded nervously and quickly got the drinks over to the counter. Danny muttered something mean about Scottie to his friends, and they all burst out laughing again. They followed Danny to an open booth, talking about stupid things they always did. Stupid things that made them seem cool. Danny grinned at a dirty comment someone made about one of the Soc girls, Cindy.

Danny heard the door jingle and looked to see who was coming in. He saw Melinda first, then the newcomer Soc Zach. Melinda was smiling. She looked real charmed, and that bugged Danny. "Hey, look!" he said to his friends, pointing at who he'd just seen. "It's my buddy Zach along with Melinda!" He looked back in their direction. "Zacharie! Bonjour, baby!" he shouted, his voice a little cruel and mocking as he beckoned for them to come over to their booth. He decided he would use Zach as bait for Melinda to come over. Melinda's mouth turned down at the corners when he said this, but she followed Zach to Danny's table.

sure, sounds fun

Melinda

I heard Danny's voice seconds after we entered the diner. He called us over and I wasn't thrilled about it but I behaved myself. I didn't really have anything against Danny, he was cute and all. We would make a cute couple and all, but only so much ego can fit in one relationship.

I slid into the booth between Danny and Zach, what was the harm in having a little fun? Danny was looking good as usual, his messy hair seeming perfect.

I smiled at the other boys and then my phone buzzed. It was my best friend, Molly. She was coming home tomorrow from her vacation in Italy.

I read the text message and replied completely aware that both Danny and Zach were looking at me. I had chosen a good outfit for the occasion. A short dress that showed just enough of my flawlessly tanned skin, my short blonde hair hung perfectly around my face unphased by the moisture outside.

"So, Zach," I turned to him just as Danny opened his mouth to say something," how are you enjoying living in the states?"

**Wow, I missed a lot. I might miss a bit more, because my computers being fixed for the next few days, but I might get time at school.**

Ben

He saw Leal go to follow, and put a hand on her shoulder, "Cool it. Greasers don't fight Greasers, Leal. If he wants to start a fight on Soc turf, he can do it himself."

She looked surprised, "We're not backing up one of our own?"

He grinned, "Didn't say that. I just said he can start it himself. I'm thinking we make them start it for once. After all, you know how I love getting under their skin." He paused, "And you never told me you spoke French."

She grimaced, "It's from back when I wanted to be a Soc."

Ben nodded, "Well, at least we've got someone who can talk to Frenchy!" He laughed, giving her a light punch on the arm, "Anyway, you wanna go check how things're going with Jase and his latest worst enemy?"

Leal:

"Alright." Leal smiled walking beside him as they made their way towards where Jase had gone. She saw a ton of Socs and chuckled. "THis will be interesting."

"Ya, but I don't htink they will all gang up on us, remember they think way to hightly of themselves to think that all of them need to help." He laughed.

"Ya, well I'm just saying it's like them to try to beat up a greaser for absolulty no reason." She shook her ehad and sighed. "I wish they'd all lose their money."

Zach

Zach turned to Melinda, a wide smile on his face. "I haven't seen very much of them yet. Care to show me?" He flirted, his eyes wandering over her head to Danny behind her. The moment he'd sat down in class a week ago, he'd spotted the taller boy immediately as the leader of the rich kids. So, no harm in a little bit of flirting. Give the guy something to think about.

Melinda smiled. "I'd love to. Are you free tomorrow?"

"Yeah." Zach replied without hesitation, still smiling at her but looking at Danny. He slid his arm around Melinda's shoulders. The older boy scowled, but took the bait anyway.

"I'll come too." Danny said smoothly, sliding his arm around her waist. "After all, can't leave our little Zach alone with big, bad Melinda. Don't want the boy to be scarred."

Jason paused outside the diner and stopped whistling. This was Soc turf.
He glanced at himself. Obviously greaser. Oh well, it should make things interesting. Besides, he was hungry.
He pushed open the door, grinning around the room. It took only a second for him to be spotted.

"What the hell are you doing, greaser?" One yelled, cracking his knuckles. His girlfriend, Jason assumed, just glared. Ignoring them, he let his eyes wander.
Eventually they landed on the french kid.
"Oi! Lover boy!"
The foreigner glanced around, his arm still around the girl's shoulders. "You want me?"
"Yeah, come here before your pitbull friends decide they want their arses kicked and try and jump me."
Half a dozen Socs started to rise to their feet, glaring dangerously. "You're on soc turf, greaser.
Jason drew his switch blade, smiling casually at them all.
"This looks like fun!"

Linda

Linda wandered down the street, laughing at the jokes the girl beside her told. As they walked toward the diner she became more weary, knowing she was entering soc turf. The girl beside her was acting oblivious to the fact however.

Linda looked away from the girl and glanced across the street at the diner, seeing a crowd inside. They seemed friendly at the moment, but she knew they would be glad to get violent. Not that she would mind, she was ready too.

As she was looking a greaser came round the corner and stepped into the diner to challenge the inhabitants. She laughed when she saw who it was.

Gees Jason, what are you thinking? You have no one behind you and you just walk straight into a soc gathering. Someone's got under your skin. She nodded to the girl beside her and startedc walking across the road.

"Oi! Lover boy!" Jason's tones echoed across the street.

One of the socs inside replied and Linda picked up an accent.

"Yeah, come here before your pitbull friends decide they want their arses kicked and try and jump me." Jason replied.

Linda laughed as half a dozen of the socs lept to their feet. Jason was brash, but he certainly knew how to rile a soc.

"This looks like fun!" He said, and she saw the switch blade enter his hand as she drew one of her own.

"Jason," she called, "what's happening?" She glanced at the socs, pretending not to notice them.

"I was just looking for some fun," he grinned, "and lookit, I found some."

Linda laughed, "I see that."

Zach

Zach watched the new girl with interest. She'd just wandered on in, distracting the Jason kid before any real fighting started. Though by the look of the knife in her hand, she's probably wanting that fight, Zach thought dryly. Ah well, might as well play the knight in shinning armor. Spice things up a bit.

He slowly drew his arm from around Melinda's shoulders and got to his feet. One hand on the table, he leant back, half obscuring the blond from view. "It's Jason, right?" He asked, reaching behind him and taking one of the forgotten shakes of the table. He casually took a sip, waiting for the greaser to speak.

"I'm flattered you remember." Jason replied with a grin.

"And you should be mon ami*" Another languid sip. "But perhaps you should leave your toys at home," he gestured to the shiny blade. "I don't think it's appropriate around les dames**"

Linda

Linda laughed outloud, "He's french?" she sneered at Danny, "what happened to your standards?"

Jason glanced at his switchblade, then tucked it back in his jeans pocket. "Alright then, frenchie, I can be a gentleman."

The french boy smiled, putting the drink back down. "I'm sure you can."

Linda glanced at Danny again, "what do you say Dan? Are you going to support your new french pet?"

Leal:

Leal walked in and looked at frenchy, then the others. "I hope he does, cause I don't need to be a gentlemen." She replied crossing her arms. Ben chuckled next to her and she smiled. "Hello again, Frenchy." She said.

"Madame." He smiled. She rolled her eyes and looked at the bunch.

"Linda, I think Dan's getting chicken." She smiled crossing her arms. "Or as the french say, il va doucement*, is that not true, monsieur?"
