Danny-

Danny shrugged in his seat just as the manager came out, a pudgy red-faced man. He started yelling, mostly at the greasers. Even the manager seemed to recognize that this was Soc turf.

"Get outta here!" The manager shooed his hands at the greasers like they were just dogs. Linda and Jason exchanged smirks.

"All right, all right," Jason said laughingly. His eyes swept over Danny's group and especially the Frenchie, making it obvious that he wasn't through with them, even though smile on his face looked lighthearted. He walked out, Linda following after him.

Danny laughed grimly. "I think it's high time we stepped all over the greasers territory," he said, his voice low.

Melinda-

I rolled my eyes and stood. I had a distinct distain for fighting, it only brought us down to the Greaser's level. I ignored Danny's comment and hugged him good bye. Then I walked over to Zach and kissed him once on each cheek,

"Call me." it wasn't a question. Then I walked out of the diner and slid into the limo, "Take me home, Joe?" I asked leaning back against the seat.

About halfway home I realized I had left my phone at the diner, I groaned. The sun was already setting and someone had probably picked it up. I decided I would call it to see who had it when I got home.

*which one is going to get the phone? haha*

Jason sighed as the group of greasers wandered away from the diner.
"Damn. And it was just getting exciting too."
Linda rolled her eyes. "You're always getting in trouble, Jason. Maybe you should think before you wander into a diner full of socs alone."
Jason snorted and waved his hand dismissively. His safety wasn't important. He'd already lost his life, his friends, his pricey education, his nice home. What the hell did he care?
Slowing to match Linda's pace, Jason grinned. "You hungry? I know I am."
Linda shrugged. "I guess."
"Good." Jason turned suddenly into a store, waving Linda along with him.
"Distract the shopkeep. Buy something small, whatever. He's a guy, he should be easy. I'm going to grab myself something to eat."
It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.

*Zachey wants the phone! :)*

Zach

Zach watched Melinda leave with a grin on his face. He turned to Danny, and his grin grew even wider. The older teen was sullen faced and did not look in the slightest bit happy that the Frenchman had gotten the kisses.

"Aww cheer up mon cher. I'm sure she likes you too." Zach laughed, sitting back down at the table. He lent forward and picked up the shake again, ignoring the glare he received from it's owner. Taking a sip, he spotted a cell phone sitting on the table.

"Those damn greasers. Who do they think they are, coming into our territory?" Danny growled, drinking some of his own drink.

"We should go sort them out." One of the socs from across the table added with a snarl.

Zach exchanged his drink for the phone, watching it in fascination as the small charms on it dangled together. Must be that jolie fille*'s, he thought, how am i meant to call her now?

Melinda-

The car arrived at home and I walked in. The house was fairly quiet as usual. The faint clatter of pots and pans could be heard coming from the kitchen where the meal was being prepared. A slim black cat, Belle, purred and rubbed against my ankles. I reached down and rubbed her head.

"Melinda?" My mother called from the den. I walked to the doorway and spotted her standing from her chair. My father was sitting at his desk, with his chair turned towards the window, talking on the phone.

"Yes?" I replied with no distinct tone.

"Molly called, she said you hadn't answered any of her messages. She is coming home tonight, her father decided to fly her back on their private plane. I told her she should come over. Give her a call back?" I nodded and that's when I remembered I needed to call my phone.

I went up the grande stair case and into my room. The windows were open and a light breeze ruffled the floor length sheer curtains. The pastel pinks and blues on my walls and bedspread made the room feel even larger than it was, if that was possible.

I slid onto my bed and pulled the portable telephone from beside my bed. I dialed my cell phone and let it ring.

One ring.

Two rings.

Three rings.

"Hello?" A voice on the other line said, a rather familiar french voice.

"Zach?" I asked.

Linda

Glancing once at Jason as he moved to the other side of the shelves, Linda walked up to the guy behind the counter.

He frowned, "what are you greasers doing here?"
Linda smiled, "come on Joe, this is neutral turf, ain't it?"
Joe sneered, "It won't be if your friend there doesn't keep his hands out of the merchandise."
Linda didn't look around, "Who, Jace? He wouldn't steal from you. You're our friend, Joe."
He grunted, but didn't take his eye off the shelf that hid Jason, "you gonna buy something?"
She glanced at the ciggarettes behind the counter, "I'll get a pack of Rothmans, thanks Joe."
Joe frowned, "where's your I.D? You don't look old enough."
Linda grinned, "Don't you trust me, Joe?" She pulled out a card from her pocket and showed him the fake I.D, "see there? 22 years old. I'm legal Joe."
He turned to get the pack, and she glanced around to see Jason leaving quickly with an conspicuous lump in his jacket. Joe turned back and handed her the smokes, "that's $5 Linda."
She smiled as she handed him the cash and left with the ciggarettes.

Jason walked a few meters past the shop before pulling out the package.
"It seems I'm getting a reputation. Damn." He turned to linda and offered her a chocolate bar, opening a packet of chips.
"Thanks. You're just going to be careful, right?"
Jason snorted. "Me? Careful?" He wiped chip crumbs off his chin. "You've got to be joking, Linds."
Linda rolled her eyes. "One day you're gonna get caught."
Jason shrugged.
Linda frowned. "Don't you care? You're almost old enough to get turfed in jail every time."
Jason shrugged again, flashing Linda a bright smile. "Lets not get caught then, huh?"

Zach

Zach was still sitting at the dinner when Melinda's phone buzzed in his pocket. The other three Soc guys at their table had left, so he was alone with Danny. As he pulled it out, he noticed Danny watching him with interest and smirked.

"Who's that?" Danny said, slurping his second shake of the afternoon. Zach glanced at the screen and grinned.

"cette fille jolie avec les yeux agréables*" He replied nonchantly, pressing the answer key. "Hello?"

"Zach?"

"Melinda, enfant mignon**. You forgot your phone." He replied, twirling a clean straw between his fingers. Across from him, Danny's eyes flashed.

"Thank you so much for picking it up."

Zach shrugged. "merci de créer une si belle vue***"

Melinda gave a light laugh. "What'd you say?"

"Just commenting on your beauty, chéri****." Zach said with a slight smirk, eyes watching for Danny's reaction.

Melinda-

I laughed again and said, "Anytime." It was shamless flirting, but who really cares. I continued with, "Can I pick it up from you tonight? My friend gets home in a couple hours and we're going to go out tonight, maybe you could join us?"

Before I could hear his answer the other line buzzed, "Hold on just a sec." I clicked over.

"Yes?" I said in a rather snappy tone.

"Whoa, did I do something?" It was Molly.

"Oh, no. How is your flight?"

"Good, we'll be landing in about an hour and a half. See you then?"

"Yeah, wear something nice." I suggested then clicked back over to Zach.

"So, do you want to come out with us tonight?" Maybe I would ask Danny too, just to make things interesting.

Ben

The two of them watched Jason and Linda duck off into a shop, then Ben shot Leal a look, "You up for that as well?"

She made a face, "Nah, not this time round."

"Alright then...where to now? The bar, or," His eyes flashed with amusement, "You need to get that fight outta your system? 'Cause I'm sure we could find those Socs again, if you want." He stopped, "Then again, we might not have to. They're probably not too happy with us after we walked all over their turf without them doing a thing to stop us. They should come looking for us." He smiled, "So, what're you up for?"

Leal:

Leal smiled and looked around. "I think I'm in the mod to play with some socs." She laughed. "If I could get my hands on Frenchy that would be nice too." She sighed. He laughed and she smiled looping her arm in his and walking back towards the cafe'.

"They won't be there anymore." He laughed.

"No, but they'll catch wind that we're in their area and come in a flock." She laughed. "Remember, I know how they think."

Ben:

He grinned, "I always forget that. I've always found it hard seeing you as one of them, you're not really the princessy type."

A couple of younger socs glared at them as they entered soc grounds again, one of them disappearing into a side street, no doubt to spread the word that a pair of greasers were strutting around. Not too much longer now... Ben lit a cigarette, offering the pack to Leal, "Want one while we wait?"

Leal:

Leal shook her head. "Nope, I'm not going to start smoking now." She smiled.

"Right." He chuckled putting the pack away as they kept walking.

"Get out of here!" A young soc hissed at them. She looked over towards him and glared.

"Unless you don't want to be a bel to use your right hand for a while, then I suggest you shut the hell up." She hissed.

Ben:

The kid drew herself up a little, "You can't hurt me - you're own our turf, greasers. Lay one finger on me and you're both dead."

Ben leaned forward a little, smiling, "You really believe that, don't you? Well, word is that Danny's gone soft, he's pretty much handed this place over to us. So just run on back to your big house and your fancy cars and leave the streets to a real gang."

****I'm gonna probably be gone for two weeks depending on if the campsite we stop had has internet or not. So keep my people alive please. ****

Leal:

Leal laughed as the kid spun around and took off. She looped her arm back in Ben's and hummed as they walked down the street. "I really wish they would all just go back to their big houses." She sighed.

"I think we all do. They have ablsolutly nothing to prove. They don't have to worry about anything other then if they broke a nail or not." He replie.d

"It's annoying." She growled. "I wish they'd all know what it was like to be poor."
