"Don't snarl at me, Edward," I grinned mischievously as I went on, sending a pulse of remorse through my words. "What do you have to say?"
There was a hesitation for a moment before his voice came through again. "I-I am s-s-sorry," it was obvious he wanted to try to fight the words, but couldn't--and it actually sounded fairly sincere. I smiled.
"That's a good boy!" I said, laughing, and even though I couldn't see him, he was probably steaming. "Now, where are you, dear? We've been worried," I glanced over to Nathaniel who gave me a strange look. Worried probably wasn't in his vocabulary.
I laughed again, hearing Edward's teeth grind.
There was silence on the other end of the line, but he hadn't hung up. I waited for a couple seconds before the silence started to annoy me. "Where are you, Edward?" I asked once again in a smooth, calm tone.
Although I kept asking, I already had a good thought to where he was. There were only two places besides where our little headquarters was, and I know he wouldn't go to the Guardians. That just left one.
"Edward, dear?" I had to stifle a laugh as he responded, practically barking into the phone.
Our happiness here is all vain glory,
This false world is but transitory,
The flesh is weak, the Fiend is slee

I closed my eyes, struggling against her power. It can’t be that hard. I just remained silent as Auid kept asking where are you dear? She was toying with my patience as well as my emotions. I turned with the phone still to my ear and I saw her. The girl who had killed all of those humans.
This was a problem. I was being attaked through the phone and soon by a girl with a horde in her. She blinked curiously. I looked at her weird before turning my attention back to the phone.
“Audi, you know where I am so you might as well drop the act. How about you turn your attention to where Maisy might be and tell Nathaniel to buzz off cuz I know he’s not worried at all and neither are you!”
I snapped the phone shut and let out a low sigh. ‘That felt good’ I thought with an evil smirk.
The man she watched curiously seemed very angry, She grabbed her cell phone out and called Raye.
It rang about three times before she heard, "Relly!! Are you coming back home?" She smiled.
"Sweetheart I need you to do something for me okay?" She asked, biting her lip. Larella knew what she had to do, the spirits had always given her strict directions after taking over her body. They had told her, Follow that man, leave this place and do whatever you can to get information.
"Yeah!"She could hear the grin in his voice.
"I need you to pack all the stuff you want to take in a suitcase, and wait for me...alright?" She told him.
"Okay...I love you Relly." Raye said the smile gone.
"I love you too," She murmured feeling the man's eyes on her.
Larella snapped her phone shut and faced him. His features were beautiful but, she knew he was up to something.
"So what are you up to?" She smirked.
Raye
Raye followed Relly's instructions and starting packing his clothes and toys.
I wonder where we're going... He thought as he put a toy car carefully inside the suitcase. His mind always wondered about his older sister.
He remembered a distinct memory of her slapping him, but she cried so much after they left her. She had told him sorry over and over again, He forgave her because he understood.
He squeezed his eyes shut when he picked up his parent's wedding picture, liquid flowed down his cheeks.
Marissa stared intently as she listened to the conversation going on in the room. What the hell is going on? she thought to herself. A migrain started to creep up upon her as teh noise got louder. She grabbed her head. She couldn't take it anymore.
Lifting her head to look at all the people in the room, arguing over a girl. "STOP!" she yelled, a pot exploding in the corner. The roots of it came out then retreated. The noise came to a halt. "Please quit arguing. I can't take it. My head... it hurts."
Silence enveloped the room, so palpable that Maisy began to wonder if anyone would ever talk again. She was used to silence, used to hiding in the dark with only the beating of her heart and the heavy, frightened sound of breathing to give her away. But this was a different sort of silence; it was uncomfortable.
"Aspirin?" Maisy suggested at last, holding her empty hand out. Marissa half arched an eyebrow in confusion but as Maisy concentrated, she caused a small bottle of pills to de-materialise somewhere across the world and they re-materialised in her hand.
"Don't-" Leal warned immediately, her scowl menacing but Marissa actually took two pills, pocketing the others, and popped them into her mouth. Wordlessly, Maisy caused a glass of water to appear and Marissa accepted it with quiet gratitude. Other members of the room shuffled hesitantly as Maisy blinked curiously. So there's one at least who's not suspicious of me... but why? She blinked again and Marissa set the half filled glass down on the table.
"I think we've discussed this enough," Kyle said. "Let's just stay alert and try to find out anything we can. At all costs, they must be stopped." There were scattered murmurs of agreement and people started to leave the room, wandering into the kitchen to boil the kettle or cook breakfast. Maisy watched them, wondering what they expected her to do. What she should do. Kyle and Marissa lingered in the room.
"Thanks," Marissa said quietly. Maisy blinked her surprise and watched Marissa slip out of the room before looking up at Kyle who was studying her carefully. She wondered what he might be thinking of.
"For the moment, you're free to come and go but try not to be offended if people stop talking when you enter a room."
"I understand," Maisy said. But she didn't. Surely it can't be so easy to infiltrate them or we'd have done it sooner. But then, maybe there's a reason they sent me. Because my story is believable. Because my story almost isn't a story, because-
"If you're found to be lying, expect to have your throat cut," a female voice said from the doorway. Maisy looked across, her eyes meeting Leal's. She nodded silently.
"May I enter the kitchen?" Maisy asked of Kyle. He nodded and followed her through.
Pots and pans hung from wall hooks and the cupboards were crammed with baking trays, cake tins, cutlery and every piece of equipment one could imagine. A bulging spice rack clung to one wall and already there was a strong sensation of 'bustle' about the place. Maisy liked it. She liked it too much. Her eyes were drawn towards Marissa who was frying something on the hob and then to the kettle that had started to scream. She found herself a place on top of one of the counters and sat and looked around.
alrighty, i don't really know where we are so i hope this is okay
Drake and Sylvia Storm
I held Sylvia now in my arms, following everyone into the kitchen because I smelled something cooking and I knew my little sister was hungry, neither of us had eaten anything today. When we walked in the woman was sitting on one of our counters, Maisy, I said to myself because that was her name.
"Marrisa, do you mind cooking Sylvia something?" I asked Marrisa as she stood over the stove, making something that smelled delicious. Sylvia had shaken her way out of my arms and walked over to Maisy, under the careful watch of me of course.
"Sure Drake, I'll make you something to because I don't want you eating any of that stuff you make you think is food, it's not natural" Marrisa said and I uttered a laugh.
"Hi, what's your name?" Maisy asked Sylvia and my little sister turned her head to me, smiling and gesturing for me to tell Maisy about her.
"Her name is Sylvia, she is my little sister... She's mute" I said and walked over to where Sylvia stood infront of Maisy, I gently put my hands on Syl's shoulders and smiled at the woman who seemed to be nice.
Kyle was leaned against the dining table, an apple clutched in his hands while he took small bites from it. He was watching Maisy, examining her was more like it...
