>>I'm not entirely sure if we're in like...an office or something? But, for now I'm going to pretend like we work at CSI *shrug* haha. I'll change it if need be.

Charcoal Ngunda

Charly let out a yawn, moving a soft hand to her mouth as if the yawn made noise she needed to silence. The past few weeks she had been pretty much living at headquarters--there was so much danger out there that she just felt the need to monitor it all the time. Besides, it's not like she could sleep. So, thankfully, she was already at the office when her cell phone rang.

"Hey Char, it's Kathy. Noah wants everyone in as soon as possible."

"Actually I--"

"--you're here already, I know. Just letting you know."

Charly smiled slightly and took a swig of her coffee, "Alright, be right there."

She minimized her computer screen and yawned yet again, pulling on a brown jacket overtop a white tank, accompanied by a brown stretch belt around her waist overtop her tank and a pair of dark blue jeans. No one could ever say Charly wasn't fashionable, that's for sure, but she rarely fit in with the Northern African crowd. But, then again, she didn't really need to.

She made her way down the corridor to Noah's office, surprised to see him missing. She figured he must be in the conference room and headed that direction. Charly stepped inside and let the door closed behind her, successfully tracking Noah down.

She tilted her head just a bit in a curious manner, her long nearly black locks bouncing a tiny bit as she did so, "What's going on?"

[Audi Rosario]

"Dum dum deedum dum dum, de dum dum..." Audi's head bobbed up down as she twirled down the hall, singing along to Disturbia.

Someone passed by her, glancing in confusion, but she hardly noticed the person. The dull red walls around her were blurring by, the smell of coffee coming up quickly. Audi stopped in mid-twirl, standing on her tippy-toes and then swiftly pushing open the door. She bounced in and plopped onto one of the leather seats, quickly changing from hyper to a fake serious.

"So, what's on the agenda today, Nate?" she grabbed Nathaniel's coffee and leaned back, sipping it with a sly grin on her face.

Katherine (Katy)

Katy burst through the door, covered in black soot and her blouse was torn. Steam was practically coming out of her ears, she was beyond angry and fed up with her sister.

"Hey don't blame me, I'd didn't kill him." Sage said angerly from behind.

Katy turned around and gave her the hugest frown in the world.

"Wipe off that dirty look on your face, Katy."

"Shut up, Sage. See? This is why we don't work together." Katy yelled walking into the office, even though her blouse was torn and she was covered in ash of the dead and blood of Sage's and herself, Katy would always look pretty, no matter what. She stormed into the office wipping as much soot off her face as she could.

Sage

It wasn't fair, Sage was still attempting to get a hold of things and Katy just made her feel worse, Sage didn't look as bad as Katy did she had a few rips in her jeans a large bruise that was as big as a football across her rib cage and she thinks she could have broken a rib.

"Whoa! Are you two ok?" Someone asked....

Kathy-

I was suprised by Kyle's request, but the serious tone in his voice told me that he was serious. I called up Charly and the rest and told them to be here. Charly came in with a curious look, but where were the others?

***Sorry this took so long!***

((Lorelai DeTaros---Guardian---Wind))

Lore threw the stick again, as hard and as far as she could. With a flicker of her mind the wind propelled it farther. The mangy dog ran after it, his twice broken tail streaming behind him. She chuckled as he scrabbled for the stick and faithfully trotted back, head raised in triumph.

A high pitched chirping pierced Lorelai's happiness. She shifted, eyes raised upwards, to dig for her phone. The sleek device slid out of her pocket and opened with the same ease.

"Hello?" Kathy's voice was a bit garbled but understandable nonetheless.

"Yo, what's up."

"Can you come back to headquarters?"

"Claro que si." Lore responded and flipped her phone shut. Glancing down, the dog sat with his ears poised. Lore frowned. "Sorry Sam. I gotta go. Be good and go home."

The dog's wagging tail slowed a bit, detecting the tone change. Lore grinned sheepishly and with another easy flick of her mind, hovered into the air. The wind swirled around her like a dozen cushions pulling her lightly upwards. Lore laughed aloud and had the wind swim over the buildings, pulling her with it.

Flying felt wonderful, as usual. The movement, invincibility, joy. Lorelai soak ed in, all the while flying over the city towards headquarters.

Carson

He flipped open his phone, "Yah?"

"Carson? It's Kathy. Noah wants everyone at the office."

He let out a sigh, "Kay. Just let me-"

"Sorry - Noah needs everyone at the office. Now."

"Yup. On my way." He flipped it closed again, leaving some cash on the counter for his siblings' lunches. He shot a glance to his thirteen-year-old sister, "Sorry, Angie. You'll have to make sure everyone gets to school and everything today." He shifted his sports bag on to his shoulder, walking outside towards his motorbike, "You know how it is with my work."

He made good time, entering the conference room ten minutes after he left home, seeing some of the others already there, He smiled, seating himself at the table, "Morning, everyone."

Jason

The cards blurred in his hands as he shuffled them, but he kept his eyes at all times on an almost imperceptible point of light on the one the passer-by had picked, before finally, he cut the deck at that point and removed the card.

As any teenager would, he wore a smug grin as he held it up, "Is this your card?" He said, equally smugly.

The man nodded, eyes narrowed, then allowed Jason to repeat the trick. This time, the teenager finished by simply allowing the cards to fall, and selecting the marked card midair for effect. He caught Hallie's eye from where she stood at the edge of his small audience, and she held up someone's wallet. That's lunch for a few days. He bowed to his crowd, "That's all for today, people."

He caught up with his sister just after the watchers dispersed, taking the wallet from her and thumbing through it, "Anything else?"

"Someone said you need to get in touch with Kyle again."

He chewed his lip - he didn't like the idea of being at anyone's beck and call, but then they only ever called on him when they needed someone with a power.

Larella

"Come on Raye-" Oh no..., Larella thought, trying to fight off the spirits that were trying to break in. Although she had never won this fight before she never quit trying. Raye was holding her hand and staring, she knew he had already noticed.

"I'll be back, be careful okay?" She spoke, slowly drifting as the spirits stole into her body. No matter, she could always see what the spirits were making her do.

"I love you Relly." Raye said with an interested grin. Larella smiled a little, because that was the last thing she could do.

The spirits of the underworld had finally gotten complete power. She practically lived in her own eyes every time they did this. These spirits directed her towards a crowd of people shouting at each other. The spirits hurt anyone and everyone in their way, the whole crowd was on the ground.

Something caught my eye, it was a person....

Raye

Raye felt lonely but, he knew his sister had a bad problem with her body snatchers. He had an imaginary friend but, never like Relly's. His were invisible and his best friends, he was perfectly fine with no other kids to play with.

He decided to go play cars in his bedroom while he waited for his sister's return.

"Vroom vroom." It's not very fun playing by himself. He changes his mind about cars ad goes out to the sidewalk.

He puts his hands on his chin and waits.

Maisy; Matter; New York; Bad; 5:20 am.

It was a bitterly cold day in New York and Maisy shivered violently as she put one foot in front of the other, moving closer and closer to where the 'Good' side's headquarters were thought to be. Please let them be there, Maisy thought as she stumbled on, tears freezing on her cheeks. The cold was like a blade, sliding through her flesh and striking deep into her bones with an agonizing pain.

"I can't do it, father," Maisy whispered. "Please forgive me, father, I can't make it." And then she blinked in the sudden light that thrashed through the early morning gloom. A door had opened before her and an older man with luscious, dark hair popped his head out to look around the street. Maisy stood as still as she could, fighting off the shivers, as his eyes raked over her.

The man said nothing. Maisy raised her eyes to meet his and they shifted sideways, a little cautiously. Then he asked:

"Why are you here?" His voice was quiet and filled with reason. Maisy liked it and she felt that first, awful pang of guilt. He's like a character out of a storybook... surely they can't all be this good looking and kind? If they are, this could be harder than I thought. Please forgive me, father. And give me strength.

Maisy rubbed her arms without thinking and looked him straight in the eye. Look me in the eye when you're talking to me you worthless child. She moved her arms to her side resolutely. How many times do I have to tell you not to fidget? Swish, and the wind cut her flesh just as his whip had. Swish, swish.

"Please... I'd like to join you," Maisy said softly.

Kyle - Weather - New York, New York

I couldn't sleep. Not with the dream still standing over me like it was, just waiting for me to close my eyes again. I already knew how it ended, and I didn't want to have to live it again.

So, with nothing better to do, I slipped out of my room, pulling a shirt over my head as I went. The halls were mostly quiet and still and I could hear the faint breathing of the other occupants through the thin walls.

Moving towards the door, I grasped the handle lightly and braced for the gust of cold air that was guaranteed to come with opening it. Sure, I could've used my powers to make it warmer just around me, but I enjoyed the cold. Once I got used to it, at least.

Inhaling deeply, I turned the handle and poked my head outside, letting the cold settle in. My eyes scanned the dark street (one of the only streets that actually slept in this city) and came to rest on the woman standing frozen only a few yards away.

It wasn't hard to identify her, even with half her face covered in shadows. Her honey-blond hair and soft brown eyes gave her away easily. Though I had to admit, I hadn't expected to find her here, of all places.

After a moment, I asked the only sensible question that came to mind.

"Why are you here?"

Her eyes raised to meet mine and moved her arms to her side.

"Please... I'd like to join you," Maisy said softly.

Her simple statement took me a second to process. And once it had, I couldn't believe what I'd heard. Still, she looked upset and conflicted, and that told me I had to believe her. For now.

Nathaniel - Blood - Venice, Italy

I took my coffee back from Audi and didn't answer her question right away.

She cleared her throat. I cast her an irritated look.

"We're launching our distraction today," I said sharply. "To make sure it works."

"Sounds like fun," she commented, casting my coffee sorrowful looks. I rolled my eyes and finished the rest, setting the empty mug down on a nearby table.

Footsteps sounded in the hallway outside the door. They stopped and the handle turned, admitting a young man with shaggy, dark brown hair. His eyes shifted back and forth between Audi and me.

"What?" I demanded.

"Maisy is gone," came the reply.

Noah - Time - Cairo, Egypt

Charly was the first to enter the room. Her black hair bounced lightly on her shoulders as she tilted her head to the side and watched me pace from where she sat.

"What's going on?" she asked, unable to decipher my expression.

"Lets wait until everyone gets here. They need to hear this."

She nodded in understanding, both of us turning again as the door opened. Lorelai stepped inside, casting both of us curious looks. She seated herself next to Charly without saying anything.

Carson was next, followed by a few others. Finally, everyone had seated themselves, and the only person missing was Kathy.

*Okay, I know I started off with writing in third person, but I only did that to see how it'd be. I'm going to change to writing in first, just a heads up. ^_^*

[Audi Rosario - Emotion - Venice, Italy]

A sudden tension filled the air, but it was light, not as choking as I thought it might be. Nathaniel's usual demenor didn't falter at the news and the man at the doorway seemed to be a little surprised. I almost laughed.

"Gone?" I asked, taking the empty coffee cup and fingering the edge, the smell still filled the white porcelin and my stomach grumbled. "That's impossible,"

Nathaniel stared at the man, a sort of half-glare on his face. "How long has she been gone?"

"A c-couple days, maybe more, but--"

"Why hasn't anyone been informed about this before?" I asked, a little irritated. "She could've taken a plane and gone anywhere by now."

The man at the doorway hesitated to answer and I swiped my phone out. Changing the setting so that my phone number would be hidden and Maisy couldn't ignore wondering who it'd be. She would answer, I know.

The phone started ringing and I thought about setting it on speaker so that Nathaniel could hear, too, but decided against it. I wanted to talk to her alone first... to see what was going on, to find out where she was, to play with emotions. The corners of my lips twitched up in a slight, smug grin as he figured out what I was doing.

Maisy; Matter; New York; Bad.

"Come in," Kyle said. Maisy blinked and cocked her head to the side curiously. Did I hear him right? Just like that? She stood a moment after Kyle turned and walked back in. Then she breathed deeply.

Stepping over the threshold was difficult, more so than she had anticipated but a swift glance around calmed her fears. There were no chains waiting to hold prisoners, no whips, no knives, no implements of torture. Instead, the short hallway led into a neat parlour with cosy looking seats and neutral, calming decoration.

"Sit down," Kyle offered and obediently, Maisy's legs buckled and she collapsed to the floor, legs crossed, back straight, looking up uneasily. Kyle raised an eyebrow and watched her curiously. Like one watches a stray dog, Maisy thought sadly. Then her phone began to ring. Maisy flinched and automatically pulled it from her pocket. The caller ID was hidden.

"They've noticed," she whispered. That had been part of the plan, to seemingly desert her side so that the supposed betrayal could look as real as possible. But had that been a mistake? How easy it would be to just disappear forever. Oh father, why did you send me here?

Kyle didn't seem to know what to say but at last he asked, "Are you going to answer it?" Maisy had not thought there was another option. How could she ignore a ringing phone? How rude. And then something else occurred to her.

"If I do, will you throw me back out?" A note of alarm entered her voice and the hand holding the phone trembled. Kyle looked taken aback.

"Not if you really do want to join us," Kyle said. Maisy nodded cautiously and then pressed the answer button.

"Hello?" she said.

"Maisy, how are you? Or should that be where are you?" Audi's rich voice queried. Maisy gulped. She hadn't prepared any speech for this, hadn't thought anything else through. She was too used to taking orders and while she'd always considered what she'd have liked to have done, she'd never done it.

"I've made my choice," Maisy said.

"What choice?" Audi asked.

"I never got to choose which side I wanted," Maisy said, as much for Kyle's benefit as Audi's. Afterall, wasn't the truth always best? Audi's laughter trilled through the phone.

"Are you sure my dear? You sound uncertain, I can feel it in you. And you're scared but what of? Of me... or that father of yours. It should be me you know," Audi said. And Maisy found that she was afraid, so horribly, intangibly afraid. She's using her power on me, I have to hang up, I can't afford to reveal anything...

Drake and Sylvia Storm; New York; Good

I followed my little sister as she skipped down the short hallway into the parlour where we had heard Kyle and another person walk in, it wasn't hard to miss the noise they had made because the townhouse was very small, either way it was home.

"Syl, wait up!" I whispered loudly and Sylvia slowed her skip until she had finally stopped dead infront of the door turning her head around to look at me she smiled sweetly and blinked her big, baby blue eyes.

"Kyle?" I said as I knocked on the door, cracking it as I slowly opened it. A girl only a few years older than me was sitting cross legged on the floor and a cell phone was clasped in her hands, as I turned to look curiously at Kyle he hushed me and had one of the most serious expressions on his face I'd ever seen. Sylvia stared blanky at the young woman on the floor, she did this often to people she didn't know, I couldn't explain why but she was mute and very odd so I usually blamed that.

"I've made my choice," said the woman into her phone, by now I was very confused and I saw as the woman went stiff and her expression change as if she was about to slam the phone down at any minute. Syl noticed to and gave me and Kyle both questioning looks, I shrugged and almost jumped as the woman basically threw her cell phone across the room and almost in the same instance I grabbed Sylvia and hid her behind my back...
