*sorry Layleun, got a bit confused. One other thing, all Myth-Beast's have excellent night vision.*
Ilios-
"Well, I'm being followed." Ilios shrugged uncomfortably, his gaze fixed on the horizon where the setting sun set the ocean aflame. As night fell, the humans started heading home, like they could sense it wasn't safe outside in the dark. The night belonged to the Myth-Beasts and the Hunters.
Skye looked at him strangely and shrugged. "So what else is new? The hunters have been chasing you for how long?"
Grinning sheepishly Ilios turned to face her. "Except a month ago I almost got caught."
"What?"
Ilios held his hands out to his sides, the last rays of the sun gathered around him like motes. The light flared before dying. Ilios clothes were covered by red scaled armor in the Japanese style set with emeralds. A head piece covered his forehead and pulled his hair back from his face set with seven green stones. His eyes had changed to a piercing sky blue. But the most shocking change was the wings. The bones were covered in the same red scales as the armor, the membrane a translucent green that caught and reflected the sunlight.
"No one can keep running forever Skye. Sooner or later everyone's luck runs out. Don't get me wrong, I have every intention of going down fighting. But only a fool doesn't make contingency plans. Which is why I got you this." Ilios held out the signet ring to Skye it was a five pointed star, the Chinese symbols for the elements on each point, fire, water, wind, earth, and spirit. "I'd like you to be my Second. Should anything happen to me you'll take over leading the group."
Skye shook her head, dumb-founded. This had NOT been what she thought Ilios wanted to talk about. "I don't know what to say."
Shrugging, Ilios flared his wings preparing for take off. "For now, don't say anything. I want you to think about it first. In meantime it's night."
Her eyes lit up as she phased to her bird form. "Time to hunt." Silently the duo took to the twilit sky.
