*sorry Layleun, got a bit confused. One other thing, all Myth-Beast's have excellent night vision.*

Ilios-

"Well, I'm being followed." Ilios shrugged uncomfortably, his gaze fixed on the horizon where the setting sun set the ocean aflame. As night fell, the humans started heading home, like they could sense it wasn't safe outside in the dark. The night belonged to the Myth-Beasts and the Hunters.

Skye looked at him strangely and shrugged. "So what else is new? The hunters have been chasing you for how long?"

Grinning sheepishly Ilios turned to face her. "Except a month ago I almost got caught."

"What?"

Ilios held his hands out to his sides, the last rays of the sun gathered around him like motes. The light flared before dying. Ilios clothes were covered by red scaled armor in the Japanese style set with emeralds. A head piece covered his forehead and pulled his hair back from his face set with seven green stones. His eyes had changed to a piercing sky blue. But the most shocking change was the wings. The bones were covered in the same red scales as the armor, the membrane a translucent green that caught and reflected the sunlight.

"No one can keep running forever Skye. Sooner or later everyone's luck runs out. Don't get me wrong, I have every intention of going down fighting. But only a fool doesn't make contingency plans. Which is why I got you this." Ilios held out the signet ring to Skye it was a five pointed star, the Chinese symbols for the elements on each point, fire, water, wind, earth, and spirit. "I'd like you to be my Second. Should anything happen to me you'll take over leading the group."

Skye shook her head, dumb-founded. This had NOT been what she thought Ilios wanted to talk about. "I don't know what to say."

Shrugging, Ilios flared his wings preparing for take off. "For now, don't say anything. I want you to think about it first. In meantime it's night."

Her eyes lit up as she phased to her bird form. "Time to hunt." Silently the duo took to the twilit sky.

The traffic had stopped on the Highway. Completely. The peoplke were truly avoiding the magic.

He wanted to fight but no one was there, He started puring his magic out in a manner that peopole hundreds of miles away could feel it.

Qiti felt it not like a breeze of the wind but like a visious blow to the face. Where did this magic come from, why?

Asdal:

He looked out over the horizon as they reached the main street. The sun was starting to set, and the scent of magic was so heavy in the air that even Jerri knew something was wrong. She was clearly scared, but unwilling to show it in front of either of her older brothers. Asdal put a hand on her shoulder, "Maybe we should wait till tomorrow to go to the beach, it's getting pretty late." He looked at Leo, "Can you take her back to the house?"

"What about you?"

Asdal shrugged, "I'd like to see a bit more of the town."

Leo looked amused, "You only lived here for nine years, what's there to see?"

"There's always something. Besides, you know me. I like my alone time."

"Sure," Leo said, "Just don't come home in the back of a police car."

"That was only once!"

His foster brother smirked, "It should've been a lot more often, but you always seemed to be as good at getting out of trouble as you were at getting into it. Anyway, I'll see you round." He turned and began walking back the way they'd come, little sister in tow.

Asdal looked across the road again, his eyes locking on a man with white hair and red eyes. He could feel his own hair losing colour as his magic forced itself to a level where he could reach it.

He crossed the road with a furtive glance in either direction for hunters. He wouldn't have much time, just enough to warn the bastard off and then to get away. Then he'd have to find some way of stopping the hunters from finding out that he was there as well.

"You'd do better to hide your magic."

The man looked his way, smirking, "I want them to come to me."

Asdal bridled, "You've got to be kidding me. No matter how many you've dealt with, there'll always be more, and one day you'll find one that can beat you. D'you really want that? Besides, you're drawing them to this town, and there are others here that wouldn't welcome their presence."

DSF I am vey happy, with what you did, you portrayed my character wonderfully, and I must have missed the possessed spirit thing. And yeah, I put him in the truck for fun, as soon as I saw that word in it I knew instantly that he'd be sleeping in it. ^^

Glacier (Blaine Sharde)

Glacier nodded and laughed, "Food sounds great, did you guys want some vegetables?"

He knew what was edible and what wasn't, surviving on your own for a while did that; as well as the uncanny abilities to control earth and water.

They turned to look at him, "What?"

He laughed, a bubbly spirited laugh, "We can search for vegetables in the forest. I know what's what. And besides, it's cheaper."

Though he knew nothing of money, he stole or ate vegetables. They looked at eachother. Was it wise to go into the forest? They were about to try to dissuade Glacier, but then realised with shock that he was already heading towards the forest.

Glacier was skipping, it ha dbeen a while since had had had contact with some people who were nice. His thoughts drifted to that of his old family and then to one particular thing he had missed, his frilled neck lizard called Lassie.

He shook his head thise things were long gone. A smile took place on his face, he would show them what they could eat, even if thy didn't know it themselves.

He reached the forest and ran inside, the other 2 sprinting to catch up, "HEY! Stop!"

They were already deep in when Glacier finally stopped, with a pointed finger he stated, "This is where the best vegetables grow."

The others cast each other a concerned looked. He bent over and looked beneath the some bushes. He pushed a few away gently and Hikaru doubled over, puffed from the run, He was about to step backward in though, This guy can go fast.

Glacier looked over at him sharply and flicked a finger a tree instantly grew another brank and kept him from stepping back. Hikaru and Lephi looked at Glacier in alarm, he stated in a cold stern, "Look where you're stepping before you step."

Hikaru frowned and looked behind himself and was surprised to see a baby bird on the floor, which had most likely fallen from a nest in the tree above him. Following Glsacier's hand movements the branch grew higher until it reached the canopy. Glacier let his hand down and whistled; a vine fell down and wrapped around the baby bird and pulled it back up.

Glacier smiled and began again in a bubly voice, "What do you want?" He rambled off some unknown plants.

he walked further in and was surprised to see someone; a figure, a silhouette in the forest. Who could it be?

(This was my poor attempt to get Qiti into the story, hope it was okay, Here you go Lord Anzius into the story! ^^)

Qiti:

He saw a person walking in the forest.

He hastily turned into a dragon and hid.

There were more people. they seemed to be talking.

He hid iside a old and great tree, the heart of the forest.

One of the persons walked to the tree.

Qiti was wondering frantically how did they know he was there? Were they hunters?

Polemist:

The man looked at him. The man looked a bit angry.

Polemist just smiled at him.

He saw a car in the horizon.

"Now it begins." He grinned

The man looked at the car in a slight horror.

"What have you done?" He said when a horde of hunter cars came into their gaze.

Glacier (Blaine Sharde)

Glacier looked at the tree, and said with a bubbly voice, "This one!"

The two of them looked at him curiously, what did he mean?

Glacier laughed and with a twitch of his hand the tree parted, wiithout causing it harm; he knew better to treat the heart of the forest, the oldest tree, with some gentle motions.

Glacier should have found a rare and delicious plant that only grew inside this type of tree, but what he found stumped him. It appeared to be some sort of reptile. As Glacier stared at it he was reminded of the pet frilled neck lizard he use to own.

He looked at it, "Lassie?"

It looked at him and he looked at it, Lephi began, "Whatever's in that tree is practically oozing magic!" she hesitaed and looked at Glacier, "What's in it?"

Glacier began, "I think . . . it's a lizard."

Glacier was happy, would he have a replacement for Lassie? He shoved his hand and attempted to pull the lizard thing out.

Hikaru stated, "I don't think you should do-"

He was cut short by a roar form the lizard thing. Glacier stared at it with a smile and whispered to the reptile's ear, "What you don't like that guy either?"

He nearly dropped the poor thing, when he heard a reply.

Asdal:

He ran his hands through his hair, frozen to the spot as the car approached. "Shit. No, this can't be happening, not now." He looked back at the man, shaking his head, "I'm not staying here to help you fight them. These people want you, they don't even know I'm here!" Feeling his hair turn whiter still, he suppressed every trace of his magic he could, knowing that the unnatural colour would draw them to him as well otherwise.

He started walking away, "Come and find me as soon as you're done with these guys. If you beat them, that is."

Asdal kept walking, switching on his iPod and trying to shake off the nervousness. It didn't help that there was so much magic pouring out from the main street, giving him one hell of a headache since he wouldn't allow himself to let his shield down. He turned a corner, colliding with a cop who'd been running the other way.

The man hauled him to his feet, giving a shove in the direction of the beach, "Watch where you're going kid, and stay off the main road for the night. I've got reports of some serious stuff going on there."

Asdal was about to say something about the danger, when he noticed the man's bracelet. He's a hunter! They're everywhere! He shot the hunter a glare, muttering, "I'll go wherever the hell I want." The cop seemed satisfied, nodding and resuming his sprint.

Asdal stood there for a moment, weighing up his chances if he tried taking the hunters on. Given the arrogance of the red eyed man, he probably had more than a little power. If he could contend with that many hunters on his own, if Asdal helped him there was a good chance they'd both come out the other end. But there's my family to think of, if the hunters find out what I am, they'll go for my family...

The beach seemed like a better idea, now. It was within sight, and he began walking towards it, turning up the music on his iPod to block out the sound of fighting.

Polemist:

He rose up and looked in every direction. They were here.

"Perfect." he smiled

His form was changing

He laughed at the hunters.

The more experienced hunters looked at him as if he would have been mad. The more inexperienced looked at him with fright upon their faces. What kind of creature can alone emit so much magic? they tought.

When Polemist was ready, all of the hunter looked at him in awe. http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/media/conceptArt/0507_CA_06.jpg

His sword broke the asvalt with it's weight.

The ground under him grumbled into dust under his wieght.

He looked up at the hunter and said to all of them "Give it all you've got!" Then he jumped to action.

His sword started flaming as him cut into the hunters lines.

He was hit and stabed but nothing seemed to work on him... eventhough he was bleeding. He just laughed like a maniac as hunter by hunter fell to the ground.

His sword was covered in blood; both his and the hunters.... mostly the hunters.

The hunter gave him some space. He was in a circle. He looked around himself the hunters had made a wide circle of humans around him, his sword was all wet of blood and the metalic stink filled the air.

He laughed again.

"You can run but not hide." He looked at them "Shall you die by my cursed blood." He yelled.

Every where where his blood was caught on fire. Some of the hunters fell to the ground screaming, they had caught on fire.

One of the hunter ran back to a big truck.

When he came back the hunters circle oppened and let him in.

The hunter was carrying a weapon of some sort.

Polemist looked at the weapon and turned his head to one side.

The man fired. Polemist's hand started bleeding trasticly as somekind of electrical surge cut a wide wound through the armor to his flesh. He was lucky. The hunter had missed. Polemist roared with anger and bloodlust and jumped at the man.

Suddnenly it got dark. He had fell. But into what?

He was lead by someone into light. He saw the same magical man who had confronted him before the hunters had come.

"You?" Polemist snarled

"Just saved your life."

Polemist looked at him angrily "I could have handled it myself. And it was my private bussiness."

"Not anymore it isn't."

"Why not.?"

"You are attracting hunter to the town. The town is filled with magical creatures. Their all be killed."

"Do I look like I care?"

The man looked at him coldly "No... But I do." He looked ahed of them "Change your form."

Polemist reluctanly did as asked. And they mooved foward in the fast sewer system.

Qiti:

"I am not a lizard." He shouthed from the tree.

The person called glazier looked at him shocked.
He flew out of the tree, he was both long and wide. A genuine eastern dragon.

Glacier (Blaine Sharde)

Glacier stepped slightly shocked, but his eyes widened in awe, "You're a dragon!"

Hikaru and Lephi were unable to talk, but what Glacier said, said it all and more, "We're magical too, so if you want somewhere to live come with us. Hikaru's shout!"

He put his hand towards the dragon as if politely waiting for a shake, "I'm Glacier. This is Hikaru," he pointed at Hikaru, "And that's Lephi."

Glacier smiled, "I hope you know you're about to stand on plant I was going to pick."

Glacier waved his finger and the plant picked itself out of the ground - roots and all. Glacier shook his head disappointed when he looked at the roots, he stated, "Poor thing was going to die anyway. It really isn't use to this soil . . ."

He placed it in one of the many pockets h seemed to have. He was now totally ignoring the dragon as if it was a common occurrence in every day life. He sniffed a flower and his eyes glinted in mischief.

Tying the flower to a vine with a twitch of his fingers, he made and crown and in as quick as a flash had placed it on top of the dragon's head.

Glacier laughed and continued looking for plants to get, his attention forever drawn to something else.

He heard Hikaru and Lephi trying to choke back laughter; a dragon with a flower crown - what wasn't there to laugh about?

Qiti:

He was stunned.

How could anyone have such a short attentionspan..................................................................

He shook his head and turned into his human form.

He took the flower crown off his head and placed it on the ground. He put his hand on top of it. The flower soon rose and oppened.

"there you go." Qiti smiled happily.

He turned at the other two people they seemed to be laughing.

Qiti turned his head on the side confused "Why are you laughing?"

Hikaru calmed down, "Sorry, somethings you just don't see everyday." He was smiling calmly until he looked at Glacier, He is an odd one.

Kenshin spoke so only Hikaru could hear, "We should go, this much magic could draw attention."

Hikaru nodded, "We should go, some one will undoubtably notice this much magic. You're all welcome to come back to my place. There we can become better acquainted."

((Skye))

The wind of the twilight felt nice against Skye's feathers. She sent a pulse of energy to her wings, beating them faster for a moment. Far below the city, beach and sea spread out like a map. Suddenly Ilios shifted his wings and tucked them in, gracefully plummeting in a perfect spiral. He hit the water and went straight down, barely leaving a ripple. Skye drew up her taloned legs and flapped harder, maintaining the same height.

Skye's eyes honed in on Ilios, perhaps a hundred feet below the surface, twirling and darting after fish. Skye smiled, she would have gone swimming herself but her feathers weren't exactly water proof. Ilios's distraction gave her time to think. If she did take up Second in Command she'd lose most of her life to the Myth's cause. If not there were others.

But others weren't good enough. Or were they? Were they better? Maybe she was the wrong one being asked... At that moment her thoughts were interrupted by Ilios dashing past her, dripping with water. Skye let out a hawk-like cry of surprise and lost her wing beat for a minute. She dropped but promptly fought against gravity with her wings.

Skye crossed her arms, her claws drumming on her forearm. Ilios's low, thrumming laughter could be heard above Skye as he quickly flew in tight circles around her head. He quickly spiraled, shaking all the water onto Skye. She squawked and flew out of the way, her long white tail getting drenched half way down.

"Ilios! You son of a...!" Skye burst out into laughter as Ilios gave her a puppy look. Puppy looks on dragons are hard to achieve. Skye decided with that look. If Ilios ever died she'd take over for him. He was too good a friend to let down.

Hey I’m back! Sylverdawn, I told you’d I’d be gone till today!

Its long, so if needed only read the parts that apply to you.

Lephi

Lephi clasped her hands to her mouth to stifle a scream as a large dragon emerged from the depths of the tree. It uncurled its gigantic form and let out a roar as it focused on the people down below. What was happening? She had been in this town for less then a day and already she was running into magical creatures at every turn!

Glacier, being his mischievous little self had somehow managed to place a crown of flowers on top of the dragon. As the beast let out a snort of confusion both Hikaru and Lehpi burst into laughter, clutching their sides and trying to control it as spasms of mirth shook their bodies.

Seconds later the dragon had transformed into his human form and was giving both of them confused looks. “Why are you laughing,” he demanded, obviously a little annoyed by the whole skeptical.

Hikaru was the first to get control of himself as he said, "Sorry, something’s you just don't see everyday." Lephi just continued to giggle, obviously agreeing with Hikaru’s statement. "We should go, some one will undoubtedly notice this much magic. You're all welcome to come back to my place. There we can become better acquainted,” Hikaru offered as he eyed the odd group now arrayed before him.

“I think that’s a good idea,” Lehpi answered, as she glanced at Glacier who seemed more interested with some weird moss on the side of the tree then the actual conversation. He was strange, but also kind of cute, she decided before glancing over at the dragon. He had shaggy black hair and was dressed in simple brown pants and a shirt. He seemed to be just as puzzled by all that was going on, but as they all turned to walk he gave a half hearted shrug and the group continued out.

Half an hour later they were safe inside Hikaru’s small, two bedroom one bathroom apartment that was right by the ocean. He was on the third floor, and as Lephi looked out the window at the ocean below she felt a slight shiver work its way down her spine. The air was filled with magic.

The dragon, who had introduced himself as Qiti gave her an odd look as he asked, “Can you feel it to? The magic?”

She nervously nodded, “Yes, it makes my skin itch.”

“It makes me just feel annoyed,” Hikaru said with a small grin as he brought over a plate of grilled cheese sandwiches to them all. “Sorry it’s nothing fancy, but at least it will fill you all up.”

Glacier seemed happy, he greedily grabbed a sandwich and bit into it, grinning as the gooey cheese dripped down from the bread. Lephi tentatively picked one up and took a small bite. Her taste buds seemed to explode with joy as she realized how hungry she actually was. A few seconds later the sandwich was gone and she had already started on her second to the chagrin of Hikaru and Qiti. “What do you think is going on out there?” Lephi asked in-between bites.

“Beats me,” Hikaru answered with a shrug, “But I bet the Hunters are everywhere now.” He paused for a moment before looking over at Qiti and asking, “So I don’t mean to be nosy, but what is a dragon like yourself doing way out here?”

Stranger – The Hunter

It took a lot to get Stranger annoyed, even more to get him mad, but at the moment he was experiencing both of those feelings. He stood on a building, overlooking the city as the cool night breeze ruffled his white cloak. Shifting his weight he peered down, a frown on his face as he watched the battle below take place.

“Pitiful,” Selini murmured as she watched the large lumbering beats swing his sword and hew through two hunters. Their bodies split without a sound, raining blood and gore over the road as screams of terror filled the night.

“Indeed,” Stranger muttered as he watched another group of Hunter’s charge forward, some were swinging swords, while others fired pistols and machine guns at the giant in their mad attempt to take it down. The monster once again meant them head on, his blazing sword humming through the air as he brought it smashing down on a Hunter, so hard that it shattered the pavement and squished the Hunter into mush.

“Ooo,” Nhara winced with a slight smirk, “He’s dead for sure.”

The giant flaming beast swung his sword as a vicious roar escaped his throat. Most of the Hunter’s fell back, others turned to visibly flee as if they decided survival would be the best option. “Quez,” Stranger called back, not even turning his head, “How much magic is that thing putting out.”

The snake like being slithered forward, its yellow eyes narrow as its gravelly voice answered, “The Magic output is surprisingly strong. Not at the level of a dragon, but more powerful then the average magical being we have run across, this one might even prove to be,” he paused, deciding on his words before saying, “a challenge.”

“Perfect,” Stranger whispered as he turned to Nhara and barked, “Call the Hunters off, no use in letting anymore get killed. And get a hold of Headquarters, tell them I want all but the best Hunters removed from this area, we don’t need anyone getting in our way.” He turned to face Selini, smiling sweetly at her as he whispered, “Selini… darling, how about you fly up and scout out the area, see where you can sense magic coming from and let us know what you find. See if you can pick up Shadow Claws scent, or any other creatures for that matter. I am going to take care of our little pest down there.”

Selini nodded, and turning she ran towards the edge of the roof before effortlessly jumping off. Seconds later a large form flew up into the air, sending a strong gust of wind past them all as it shot into the night sky as the dragon disappeared from their view.

“Master,” Quez suddenly said, “It looks like our beast friend has decided to run.”

Looking down Stranger saw that the flaming beast had disappeared, leaving most of the hunters to crawl away and lick their wounds. “Well I always like a chase,” Stranger murmured as he nodded to his two companions, “Come on, the hunt is on.”

Fifteen Minutes Later…

With Quez’s ability to track magic it didn’t take them long to realize that their prey was hiding in the sewers. And luckily for him the beast had decided not to stay in there to long. Tugging absent mindedly at the magical amulet that rested on his neck, Stranger watched the manhole by the side of the road slowly be pushed aside.

Whoever was within didn’t come out for a few seconds, obviously waiting to see if any magical beings or Hunters were waiting for them. They wouldn’t sense anything though, Stranger possessed no magic besides the sword and talisman he carried, and they didn’t give any off. Besides that Quez and Nhara were hidden a ways away, invisible to the eye and senses, doing what they normally did when Stranger fought.

Seconds later a human male popped up out of the man hole, he looked around once again, and obviously feeling satisfied reached down to help someone else up from the hole. Stranger was pleased, and also surprised to see that the human who emerged next was the skeletal warrior who had killed a Hunter earlier today. And he guessed, that the skeletal warriors partner was also a magic being of some sort.

The two of them quickly slid the man hole cover over the hole and turned to head down the street, whispering to each other, or arguing about something. “Excuse me!” Stranger called as he stepped out of the shadows.

The two froze and slowly turned to look at him. “Shit a Hunter,” one of them hissed.

The other however just through back his head and laughed. “There’s only one of them, let me take care of it then we can get out of here.”

The human looked as if he wanted to argue, but ended up shrugging and stepping to the side as his friend moved to the middle of the road to face Stranger. With a malicious grin the human’s form began to shift and shape, and soon a towering beast with a mighty sword stood before the Hunter. It was the same thing he had seen kill all the others from his order only minutes before. He did notice however that the beast was bleeding from numerous cuts along his body, it was wounded, but how weak it was had yet to be determined.

“Come here HUNTER!” the beast roared, “Come and fight me for the gates of hell are open to except your spirit!”

Stranger merely smirked, reaching to his back he pulled his sword from the sheath, relishing in the smooth sound it made as metal slid against metal. Then he took off, jumping forward he charged the great beast, moving faster then any normal human could. The great hulking warrior seemed surprised at the charge, but then began to laugh as it raised its giant sword and swung forward with a growl.

Stranger easily somersaulted into the air, flying over the sword and past the beast he slid along the ground a little ways away. The beast turned to meet him, swinging again as Stranger rolled forward, past the sword and straight by the creature’s legs which he slashed out at. A roar of fury emerged from the beast’s throat as fiery blood poured out of the long gash on both legs.

Stranger came up from his roll and calmly turned to face the beast once again. “Your to slow in that form,” he called, “How about you show me the other one.”

“Ho Ho Ho,” the giant thing rumbled, “Very well, we shall make this fight a bit more even.” Magic filled the air as the things skin rippled and shifted, it slowly shrunk down until the skeletal warrior once again stood before Stranger, its sword outstretched and face in a sneer as it charged forward.

Stranger turned and met it, their swords clashed and sparked in the night as both collided together again and again. His opponent was much faster in this form, and a lot more able to keep up with Stranger. Though the magical creature’s attacked lacked grace he made up for it with sheer raw strength and power.

As Stranger dodged another blow he flipped back, allowing his opponent to come at him, swinging and growling with the joy of the fight. Stranger easily blocked each blow and dropped to the ground, kicking out he kicked his opponents feet out from under him, causing the skeletal warrior to crash to the ground with a grunt. Moving fast Stranger leapt up and slashed down, trying to decapitate the thing but only succeeding in slicing its arm as his opponent rolled out of the way.

Breathing heavily the skeletal warrior glared at Stranger, numerous cuts already over its body from the battle before and a long new gash on its arm. “You can’t win,” Stranger warned, “Your adrenaline is beginning to ware down, you won’t be able to fight for to much longer.”

“Just watch me!” the monster called as it swung forward with surprising speed. Stranger barley had time to block as the beast came in, his fist lashing out and catching the Hunter on the side of the face with a heavy smack. At the same time, it shiftedits weight and swung it sword down, obviously intending to split the Hunter in half. Pivoting to the side Stranger dodged most of the blow, though the sword did catch him on the slide, ripping a small hole in his flesh. Staggering back Stranger grinned wickedly as he turned and spit out blood from his mouth while checking the wound on his side.

“Nice blow,” he congratulated, “but this is far from over.” Then he dashed forward, faking and moving he let his acrobatics and skill with the sword take over as he dashed to and fro. Attacking again and again he began to beat his opponent back, all with the intent of killing him once and for all…

****************

I know that your character as a LOT of fortitude Lord Anzius and is able to take a lot of hits, thats why he is still up fighting. But he is severly wounded from his fight with all the other hunters and now I from his fight with Stranger. I'm guessing you and your freind are going to want to flee, so I will leave that in your hands.

Sylverdawn I don't know if you want a battle between Ilios and Selini to start so soon in the story but I sent her out to look for you, and if she discovers you she is supposed to contact Stranger so he can come and help. Once again that is in your hands.

Those with Lephi... let's just have some fun :)

Polemist:

He looked at the stranger.
He smiled at him "yOU ARE NOT LIKE THE OTHER."
