"Aw crap..." She watched the green lizard crept infront of her. She brushed the necklace on her neck and swiftly transformed into her elf form. Pulling an arrow was easyer than trying to stand as she sat in the ally.

“This precious book of love, this unbound lover, To beautify him only lacks a cover.” ~William Shakespeare, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet
Hikaru smiled as he bought some candy at the local gas station. He loved sweets, but Kenshin hated it. "How can you waist you money and time on such pointless things?" Hikaru didn't answer. "I forgot you wont reply to me while in the presence of other."
Hikaru simply ignored him and quickly paid and left. He then went to the small shop across the street to pick up a few other things. Once inside Kenshin noticed something, "There is a great presence here." He didn't reply, but his eyes darted around. Hikaru spotted a girl with blue hair looking at prices to items. "Interesting," was the only word he said. When he walked up to here he was back to his normal self. "Can I help you?"
The girl looked up and smiled slightly, "Not really, just looking."
He walked to the other side of her without facing her saying, "You should hide yourself better. You smell of magic."
She darted up, "How did you..."
At that moment Kenshin revealed himself. "I am a spirit channeler, best be careful around here. Follow me out." He held out his had looking around, he was sure someone had noticed. "We need to leave without drawing attention. Kenshin, hide yourself and keep watch. Hold my hand like a couple would and walk me to your car."
She did it, but with a moment of hesitation. The walked about a mile to the beach where they stopped in front of an old beat up truck. Kenshin appeared shortly after, "No one's following us."
Hikaru took his hand back and sighed a sigh of relief, "There are a lot of hunters around lately. My names Hikaru and this is Kenshin my partner. It's nice to meet you." His goofy smile was back.
Skye scowled at Ilios greeting. He very well knew she didn't like to be called 'dear' or any other form of the word. She adjusted her claws to the palm branch and read the rest of the letter.
I hope that you are well, for I find myself in need of your assistance. As of tomorrow afternoon I will be located in a town called Falcon's Creek in California. I am aware that it will take time flying down here so I have sent you this as early as possibly I could. I have decided to try to locate and gather as many Myth Beasts as I can. I would appreciate it if you, being one of the better trained Beasts, would come and help me search for our brethren. I will inform you of my other actions when we meet at First Beach, if you so choose to come.
I hope to see you soon. Shadow
A sigh escaped Skye's lips. She was tired and had been waiting in the tree for Lord knows how long. Using her clawed hand she folded the letter and slipped it into a leather pouch that faithfully swung at her side. Skye deftly leaped out of the tree and lighted down onto the soft sand of First Beach.
After a quick spurt of concentration and willpower, Skye's body went back into her human form gracefully. Reaching into her pouch Skye retrieved a pair of shorts and pulled them on. Her white shirt tied around her with leather chords was already suitable enough; plus, it was hard to carry clothes while flying.
Skye ran her hands through her bangs and tugged at her cascade of braids. If Ilios didn't show up soon she decided that she'd have to use her location senses.
"Come on, Asdal!" His twelve year old foster sister, Jerri, laughed and tugged at his sleeve again, "You promised we'd go to the beach!"
"Alright, alright!" He said, "Just gimme a second, I've gotta finish unpacking." Truth be told, he really didn't need to unpack at all, everything he'd brought with him was in his duffel bag. He was in Falcon's Creek for the break, staying with his foster family before he was going back to college.
He pulled a jacket out of his bag moments before he was almost literally dragged out of the room by his younger sibling. He caught a glimpse of his brother Leo, two years younger than him, smirking a little, "You coming too, Leo?"
The other boy opened his mouth, looking as though he was about to protest, but before he could, he was fixed with a pleading look by their sister. There was no getting out of it now, and trying to would just earn some stern words from their parents. He shrugged, "I guess I will."
They began making their way down to the beach, Asdal keeping a sharper eye out for hunters, more out of habit than anything else. Still, he caught sight of one man who looked more than a little out of place, and he forced any traces of his spirit-self deeper into his body. It would make his magic harder to access, but then, when was the last time he'd needed it?

Ilios-
Ilios quietly snuck up behind Skye and tapped her on the shoulder. Startled she jumped a foot in the air before whirling around.
She grinned when she caught sight of him. "I'd ask if you enjoy sneaking up on people, but already know the answer. It's good to see you Ilios."
"You too Skye." The pair turned and started walking down the beach. "So I take it you got a feel for the place?"
Skye nodded eyes flickering across the beach. It was relatively crowded some families were vacationing, and a few boys were taking advantage of the waves to surf. "The magic is thick in the air. If this town isn't already swarming with hunters, it will be soon. Which brings us to why our infamous leader shouldn't be late for a meeting."
Smirking, Ilios kicked at the white sand. "Sorry about that. I lost track of time scouting out the area."
Selini-
Selini glared at the hunter. He wore two I'ran bracelets one on each wrist, behind him stood a drow and a snake-man. Stranger scratched his head watching the dragon carefully. "So, what's so important in this sleepy little town for the council to send out the Moon-Dragon."
"I don't know what's special about this town. As for me, I'm hunting Shadow Claw."
Startled the Hunter glanced around the alley. "The one who blew up our labs in Brazil? He's here?"
"And Siberia, and Australia, and Italy. Yes, he's here. I was ordered to work with any Hunter's in the area. And since I know you have a penchant for the shoot first method, I'm telling you ahead of time that the council wants this one alive.

Not really sure how to get my characters involved in this whole thing. So if anyone has any ideas, or wants to me any of my guy’s just holler, thanks!
I apologize for the length, as this is the beginning of the story I am trying to get character stuff in! You can pretty much ignore the first hunter part if you want, though the end of it IS important.
Stranger - The Hunter
Stranger strolled aimlessly through the streets of Falcon Creek. It was like dozens of other small costal towns scattered throughout California. This one was slightly different though, it seemed to pulse with power. That was how Quez had described it at least, the large snake being had begun to shiver, his feathers ruffling and standing on end as soon as they had entered the town. "So much..." he had whispered as his eyes slowly grew wide.
"So much what?" Nhara had asked, her Dark Elf features puzzled as she watched her friend.
"Power..." Quez hissed...
And, if his monstrosity had been right, which he always was, that meant there were a few magical creatures hiding around this area. And all they had to do was sniff them out. But that would wait for the night; Hunters often did little in the day, unless it was totally necessary. Not only did it attract too much attention, but it could scare away the prey.
Reaching into his pocket Stranger produced a small notebook. Flipping it open he began to scan the pages. Each page had the a couple of pictures on them, a picture of a human, and what that human looked like when their... magical side came forth. Truly disgusting if you thought about it. Below each picture was a list of information, most of it provided by the Organization, and below that were a few hand written scribbles, bits of stuff he had found out for himself.
Finally he found what he was looking for, and stopped on the page that showed a human man, and below it a picture of the elf he had killed the other night. With a wicked grin on his face Stranger pulled out a red sharpie and plucked the cap off. Twirling the red pen in his hands he quickly made an X over the elf’s page. "Another one down." he murmured as he stuck the pen, and book, back into his pocket.
Of course the Organization really did frown on those few Hunters who killed their prey instead of capturing them. But Stranger had come to a sort of... agreement with them. He killed the weak, and captured the strong. It was simple, and effective, and made sure that no weak creatures he came by were drafted into the Organization. Of course that also he meant he killed nearly everyone that he came across. And that was also how he had captured Quez and Nhara. A slight shiver worked its way down his back as he remembered the battles fought to get a hold of those two, especially Quez. In his true form the Indian was as large as a Dragon, and no less fierce. It had taken a large group of hunters, as well as an array of Magical creatures to bring him down and subdue him. Which was one of the reasons why Quez now served him. Nhara had also been hard to catch, her spells were top notch, not only was she able to make herself invisible, but she even could cloak herself from those who sensed magic. It had taken him and Quez nearly six months to track her down, and the battle following had nearly killed Stranger.
But, he had to look on the bright side. Both of his beasties now served him, and were hands down two of the strongest in the order. Of course they rarely saw battle these days. They always either remained back at the base, or hidden, watching Stranger from off in the shadows, cloaked by one of Nhara's spells. They were under orders - from him - not to interfere unless he was almost killed and only then if he gave them the signal.
An uppity tune suddenly disturbed his train of thought, and it took a moment for him to realize that the sound was coming from the cell phone in his jacket pocket. Letting out a slight curse at the poor timing of the call he quickly yanked it out of his pocket and flipped the shinny razor open. "Hello?" he said.
"Master," Nhara's voice answered, "we have activity, and a Hunter is involved."
Stranger's eyes shot up in interest, “Really,” he droned, “How amusing that our little magical friends would already be so antsy, and in the middle of the day on top of that,” he said as he looked up into the clear blue sky and shielded his eyes from the sun. “Do we know who it is?”
“No,” Nhara replied, “but we have received information of two other Hunter groups in the area, it could be either one.”
“How odd… for a Hunter to be moving at this time of the day…” he let his voice trail off as he quickly considered the situation. Quez and Nhara were off a ways at a small house that the Organization owned in this town, it had been purchased under the name of Arnold or something to that sort. They were to far away to check it out, and he needed them to finish setting up head quarters for the time being. “Very well, do you have a location for me?”
“Yes Master,” Nhara replied, somewhat pouty when she realized that she wasn’t going to be invited to go along. “Quez says it is coming a few blocks down from where you are, “all sorts of magical activity”, as he put it.”
“Very well, I’ll take a look; you continue to do your job. I want to make sure the house is secured when I get back, make sure those protection spells and charms are up.”
Nhara let out a slight sniff as if she had been insulted, “Don’t worry, by the time I’m done it will seem and feel like a normal house, even to the most alert dragon!”
Stranger didn’t reply, he simply snapped his phone shut and turned down the street, hurrying along to where Quez had said the magic was coming from. He nodded and smiled to the few people he passed until he came to a four way. Turning left he continued down the street until he realized that the road was basically deserted, few people, and cars were around. Definitely magic, humans had a tendency to unconsciously avoid magic, especially if it was powerful. Not doubt most of the humans in the area had felt the power here growing and had left, though most of them wouldn’t know what it was, nauseas most described it as, or so he heard.
Glancing around he made sure no one was watching and quickly slipped into an alleyway. Clapping his hands together he muttered a string of magical words as a soft blue light suddenly swam around his body and clothes. When it faded he was wearing his Hunter’s uniform, his trusted sword strapped to his back. With a grin of sheer delight he saw a ladder that went up a nearby building and quickly scrambled up the thing. He then proceeded to hop from roof to roof, heading towards the magic, which he could now feel pulsing in the air.
Skidding to a stop, he hunkered down and looked below where a skeletal type warrior had a Hunter pinned to the ground. To magical creatures with I’ran’s around their necks lay dead on the ground a little bit ways away, one was a Snake Man, while the other a Minotaur.
“You will go straight to hell,” the skeleton being boomed, as the Hunter swung his sword forward. The Hunter was a bit to slow, whether from exhaustion or the wound on his side Stranger couldn’t tell. The robed skeleton swung its blade and seared through the Hunter’s head as if he was chopping through paper. The head slowly rolled off the shoulders of the man and flopped down to the ground, the body following with a squish as a slow stream of blood began to flow from the neck.
A startled cry echoed suddenly, looking over Hunter saw a young girl fall at the entrance to the alley way. She seemed more surprised then actually hurt, but as she tried to stand he saw her face wince in pain, must have twisted her ankle. Then she caught sight of the skeletal warrior. Instead of fear the young girl snapped at the thing, demanding what it wanted. “How odd,” Stranger mused as he watched the two down below stare at each other. She didn’t even seem frightened or surprised by this thing, most humans would have fainted on the sport, but she acted like such a weird creature was normal.
The skeleton slowly reverted back to a human and said something to the girl before turning and walking off. Stranger paused, considering what to do as he watched the two part ways. He wasn’t sure if there was anything to be suspected their but it was better to be safe. Flipping open his phone he snapped a picture of the girl, as well as one of the young man walking away. Seconds later he sent the pictures to Nhara and Quez with the simple text message, “Find out who they are.”
If the girl who had fallen truly was anyone of worth he would find out. As for that skeletal thing… he would deal with it in time.
His phone began to suddenly ring again, and with a sigh of discontent he flipped it open. "yes," he drawled.
"We have a visitor," Nhara's coolo voice said over the phone, "A Dragon you know all to well, and if she's hear it means there is something big going on."
Stranger's eyes widened in surprise, Selini was here? But why Falcon Creek... this was getting to be very interesting. "I will be right there," he replied as he shut his phone, turned, and disappeared.
****
Seconds later he stood in the living room of the small house, Selini standing before him, as stiff and stoic as always. "Well hello my dear," Stranger said with a boyish grin as he kissed her on the cheek and quickly danced away before she could retaliate in any fashion. "What brings you hear?" he asked with a flashy smile.
Of course the next words out of her mouth were a total surprise, so much so he jaw literally, DID drop open. "Shadow-Claw is hear..." Stranger murmured as he turned and raised an eye brow of question toward Quez. The snake man merely shook his head to show that he had not yet picked up any signs of the dragon, but that meant nothing as they had been hear less then a day.
"And Siberia, and Australia, and Italy. Yes, he's here. I was ordered to work with any Hunter's in the area. And since I know you have a penchant for the shoot first method, I'm telling you ahead of time that the council wants this one alive," Selini growled, as she crossed her arms, not amuse by Stranger's antics.
"Alive, oh yes I'm sure they do want him alive," Stranger beamed as he pulled out his sword and began to toy with the edge of the blade. "And all I want is a chance to fight him. I will help you Selini, you have the most knowledge of his movements, and have tracked him longer the anyone. Please endulge me, where should we start looking?"
Lephi
Lephi stared at the boy in front of her, slightly surprised. it had all happened so fast, she had merely been buying groceries when someone had accused her of magic then dragged her back to her pickup. "I'm Lephi!" she said with a weak smile, "And its nice to meet you to!" she replied. "I don't mean to be rude but... what are you doing hear? Do you live hear?

Once again I appologize for being long winded
I somehow missed everyone elses posts, I applogize for that and this has been... severly edited
Name- Blaine Sharde. (Enjoys being called Glacier.)
Age- 15
Gender- Male
Race- Kender
Appearance- Tall for his race, has pointed ears and a scar on his neck. He usually hides it with a scarf. He has black hair and red eyes; unusually handsome for a kender.
Personality- Bubbly, smart, deceitful- he is all mood-swings. You just have to catch him in the right one. The wrong one? You'd wish you had never been born. He is an environmentalist to the core. He is always up for adventure and fun and he loses focus on things almost immediately. Loves the cold
Powers/Weapons- Daggers, throwing knives, short swords (just make is small, sharp or pointy and it's his kind of weapon.) Controls earth, water, slightly wind.
Abilities- Has powers over natural things, such as water, earth and very limited control over wind. He cannot even cast a spark of fire. Uncanny ability to steal things.
Background- Average, normal life until he found out he was descended from kenders, which was when he was 10! He was shunned by his foster family and no one would take him in because of his pointed ears. He has learned to live by himself, but is usually always happy . . . in a mood swinging kind of way. Even though he has lived through many pains, he intends to keep an optimistic view on life.
Other- Tempt him into action by messing with the environment and you will pay . . . with your life!
Blaine flickered his eyes open. They came upon a couple of people talking. He listened to their conversation, because his eye's were still blurry and muck was in the edges.
"I'm Lephi!"
"And its nice to meet you to!"
"I don't mean to be rude but... what are you doing hear? Do you live hear?"
Blaine looked out of the old rusty beat up ute/truck he was sleeping in and he saw three people.
One of them spoke, "You have to learn how to shield your magic better, you never know where Hunters are hiding!"
Blaine was wide awake now and he slammed the door open. The all recoiled in surprise as he stated, "MAGIC!?!?!"
He nearly fell on top of them and he scrambled to get up.
Hey Light_Devil, just to let you know, if I understand piepiemann22’s character he is simply possessed in a way by another spirit. So technically you only see two of us! Lephi and Hikaru (I enjoyed that manga series by the way, even though it was mostly just about a board game), oh and I am going to assume you are sleeping in Lephi’s truck, mostly because that would be slightly hilarious!
Lephi
“You have to learn how to shield your magic better, you never know where Hunters are hiding!" Hikaru warned her, with a slight smile.
Lephi opened her mouth to answer that she knew she needed to shield herself, and that she had been, but she was also tired, and incredibly hungry. The roar of her own stomach seemed to deafen the world around her. As she opened her mouth a sudden voice chimed in, “MAGIC!”
Startled Lephi and Hikaru looked up and saw a young boy standing up in the bed of her truck. The young fellow looked like he had just woken up from a nap, and obviously was still trying to catch his bearings as he… fell over.
Lephi let out a startled cry as the boy fell, right on top of her. Hikaru somehow managed to flip back, almost as if another personality had taken over his body, and he landed a few feet away. Lephi however was not as fast and instead decided to break the young boys fall with her body. As the two landed in a heap Hikaru’s chuckle made Lephi blush, today was just not her day. Pushing the boy off she quickly hopped to her feet and glared at Hikaru as he grinned at her. “Nice catch,” he joked with a grin.
“No thanks to you,” she retorted, trying to look pensive even though a small smile tugged on the corners of her mouth.
The two paused for a moment, both grining in the moment when a small voice once again broke through their conversation. “Magic!”
Lephi looked down, and for the first time actually got a good look at the young boy. He was that old, probably somewhere between 14-16 years of age, with dark black hair, pointed ears, and eyes that were slightly tinted red. And she could feel magic all over him, dripping down his fingers and filling the air with a sort of intoxicating smell. Obviously Hikaru could sense it to because he rolled his eyes and muttered, “Great, someone else who can’t control their magic.”
“For your information I can control my magic,” Lephi replied, “I am just tired, and extremely hungry. I have been driving for hours, and have had nothing to eat, so maybe my control was a little bit… off.”
Hikaru raised an eyebrow as he joked, “Off? I could smell you from a mile away!”
Ignoring the jibe, even though it did bring a grin on her face, Lephi turned to the young boy and said, “Hi! My name is Lephi and this is Hikaru or Kenshin… uhhh… well, just call him Hikaru I guess since I am not sure who he is at the moment.”
The boy hopped to his feet and gave them all a small nod, “I am Glacier,” he said.
“Really…” Lephi said with some doubt in her voice, “That is your real name?”
The boy nodded, and didn’t offer anything else so Lephi dropped it and continued with the questions. “What are you doing here? And most importantly what were you doing sleeping in my truck?”
“I was tired and needed a place to stay,” Glacier piped.
“Where do you live?” Lephi asked.
“Anywhere I want!” Glacier replied with a smile. He suddenly looked away as a small crab crawling across the pavement caught his attention and he darted over to where it was.
“Short attention span, that’s for sure,” Hikaru muttered.
Lephi grinned, “Well I dare say Falcon Creek is the most interesting place I have been in months. But also the one most likely to attract hunters.”
“Its true,” Hikaru answered with a small nod, “Hunter activity has increased in the area over the past few weeks.” He paused to look over across the sea at the setting sun, “And since it is getting darker it would probably be wise to turn in for the night.”
Lephi cast a sad glance at her truck, but Hikaru suddenly cut in, “You and the kid can come stay at my place if you want!” He suddenly stopped, and a weird look crossed over his face, almost as if a voice inside was telling him other wise. Letting out a small chuckle he suddenly said, “Kenshin doesn’t approve of the idea, but I think it will be fine. Besides you two can’t sleep out here, specially not in this town. I’ve only been in Falcon Creek for about a month, but I have been doing odd jobs and have an apartment a little ways off, come on, you two can sleep on the floor or something, besides I got some food.”
Glacier had heard the last part of their conversation and his ears perked up at the mention of food. Lephi noticed and smiled widely, “Sounds good to me,” she said as the three of them turned and walked down the street.
Lephi couldn't help but feel a tad bit nervous, in less then twenty four hours she had ran across two magical beings like herself. What were the chances of that, everything inside of her was telling her to flee, to get out before it was to late, but… somehow they felt safe, and that made her in turn feel safe. And that was one feeling she had not experienced in a long time…
_____________
Hey I hope this is okay with you both. I didn't have a lot to go off of with your characters but I figured this would give us something to work with so... yea.
Also I will not be able to write anything tomorrow as I will be out of town, but I will be back on Thursday, just to let you all know.
"Scouting? You? I thought it was my job, O Fearless Leader." Skye let loose a chime-like laugh. She pushed her white bangs behind her ear. "So how've you been?"
Ilios started walking slowly. "Pretty good. The Hunters have seemed to have slowed their activity a bit. I predict they're planning something though."
Skye shoved her hands into her pockets. "I meant how are YOU. As in Ilios, not as in the leader of an organization of misfit and irrational mythical beasts who are running from crazed people with jewelry. "
Ilios smiled. "There isn't really much of a personal life outside of that, Skye."
Skye frowned. "Poor you." She pet his hair in comfort. Ilios shook out his scruffy gold mane of hair. Skye laughed again, she'd always tried to cheer Ilios up whenever she could.
"You had something to tell me?" Skye produced the note, twirling it between her fingers.
She stuffed it back in her pocket as he answered. "Yeah, actually. Something important."
He had never before seen others like himself... Magical but he wasn't that suprised. He had notice a few months ago that these weird people started popping around every corner trying to catch him (hunters) He didn't really care, he liked it. When he had discovered how they found him he had started to emit his magic to everyone to notice... like now.
You could feel his magic miles around. And he was sure that people did feel it. Even ordinary people could.
He smiled, he was on a highway street waiting. Waiting for the hunters.
To copy reality is good... But to create reality is much, much better. -Giuseppe Verdi-
Skye mentioning his own life made him remember his past. Unbidden his mind flashed back to his sixth birthday, the last time he'd been human. His parents had gotten him a video game system, and he'd spent hours playing with Sel and their dad. That was honestly the last time Ilios could remember being truly happy. He'd gone to bed thinking that tomorrow his parents would take them to the amusement park.
Instead he had woken up with pointed ears and wings. And Sel, Sel was long gone. His parents told him that when the same thing happened to her, she died. Ilios knew that not every Myth-Beast survived the transformation, sad but true. It was also why the Hunter's never went after latent Myth-Beasts, the survival rate was too low.
His parents had tried to sell him to the hunters for several hundred thousand dollars. The only reason he'd gotten away was because it was high-noon on the summer solstice. The day when his power was at it's peak.
"Ilios? Ilios you listening to me?" Skye waved a hand in front of his face, to get his attention.
He shook his head, shoving the memories to the back of his mind. "Sorry, I was thinking of something else."
Skye cocked her head while she watched him. "You know I always wondered why you chose to fight the Hunters. Most Myth-Beasts opt for the 'Every man for himself' philosophy."
Ilios' eyes flashed in the sunlight, like shards of green jewels. "If you have the ability to make a difference, do you have the right to walk away?"
"Good point. So, back to what I wanted to tell you."
Selini-
This guy always drove her nuts, honestly she had never met anyone so... aggravating. "Capture comes before your own fun, but you can fight him. So long as you don't wound him." Stranger's feral smile turned into a scowl, then back to a happy grin as Selini finished. "Too badly."
*ah! sorry I took a long time. I guess everything's already running smoothly? If I'd be okay can someone bring me in and brief me on what's happened so far? *
