"I think we should go with him, that Jeremy Stork, was it? I feel like its...my fate." I said. Sky nodded her head in agreement and then we both looked at Fayne, waiting for his answer.
It was as if the void was broken. He somehow knew how to channel his thoughts so that I had no way of telling his presence. Celoa? I know that its not right for me to listen in on private conversations but I couldn't help it. Fayne's voice was as loud as if he had spoke the words aloud. Now I felt sorry for him. I would hate to have lost someone I loved...but to fate. Fate was almost like destiny it paved a road that you had to take or else there was no hope for you. I believed that it was fate that brought us here, together. If it wasn't that, then what was it?
"Fayne?" Sky asked, hopefully.
I could tell she was worried too, her thoughts voiced her frets for her.

I stood up and marched to where Jeremy and the announcer were standing. The bartender scoffed at me, and looked at my pedicured nails and the make-up I had taken the time to carefully paint on my face.

"What can a little girl like you possibly do?" he mocked.

I growled as my girly image transformed once again into the form of a fox. With a snarl I leapt up onto the counter and took care in being sure to knock over an entire case of glasses. I leaned over so my snout was almost touching his nervous face and growled low and deep. I jumped down, making sure to smack his face with my tail as I did so. A few minutes later I came back from the restroom in full human form.

"I'm in, like it or not. Anyone else wanna ask what good I can do?" I asked, my dark blue eyes flashing.

Sky

Sky looked at Artemis. Something was probing at her mind. Sky pushed it out and created a blank wall. There were some things that she didn't want read, and besides, she didn't usuaslly scan peoples thoughts. She stared at Fayne. " Jeremy draws me to him. I can't really describe it... but I agree with Artemis. Following him seems to be the right step. Fayne... I think this could be a new beginning, for everything."

Sky could feel I was in her mind, I could tell by the frustrated expression her face. Shaking my head, I tried ridding my mind of the thoughts that swam around in my head. Fayne wasn't paying attention to anything Sky was saying but I was. She was right, whatever happened in our past, was over. We could finally start over. A clean slate. I got up from my chair and looked in Sky's direction.
"Are you coming?" I asked, firmly.
"Coming where?" she replied.
"Let's go meet this Jeremy Stork guy," I said, softly.

Sky gave a shy smile. "Yes, I would love to go."
She pushed back the chair and stood up. She offered her hand to Artemis. "Come on, Lets go. Fayne?" She looked pointedly at him.

[Fayne]

Fayne stood up. He would go along with Sky and Artemis. He walked up to the front of the room, helping Artemis. Fayne slid out two bench's, one for Sky, the other for Artemis, and stood behind them. This should be interesting He thought.

"Fayne? You're still there?" I asked, dumbly.
Of course I could sense him there, but I thought that he had left for some reason. Maybe my voice did sound a little too enthusiastic, but it didn't mean anything. I just liked it when people took chances. Changed their minds on a limb.
Sky helped me take my seat and then she took hers beside me. I could hear Fayne's impatient breathing, but his inner voice was quiet. He managed to hide his thoughts from me. Sky did to. This must what its like to feel normal.

Sky took a deep breath and looked at her new friends. This is what it feels like to belong, she thought. Jeremy will be a wonderous change, possibly a great leader. She'll follow him wherever he may lead her, that is, until she finds the Silver Bloods.

When Jeremy saw the people coming towards him, his first thought was that he was either going to be thrown out of a bar, mugged, or both.

"Okay, we're ready to go." Jeremy blinked.

"Don't you need time to gather your things? Pay your debts? Say your goodbyes? Buy supplies?" They looked at one another.

"No." Jeremy thought it was unusual, but it was possible that they were just sitting around waiting for crazy quests.

"Okay then, I'll meet you folks at the South Gate of this town tomorrow morning. Take care of your business and make all the necessary preparations."

The people left, much to Jeremy's relief. Everyone except Rembrandt.

"What are you still doing here?"

"I was told to follow you. So that's what I'm going to do."

"Okay. Do you know where I can a horse, a pack, bedding, lanterns, cooking gear, flour, grain, spices, rope, traveling clothes, and other gear?"

"Sure. This way." Rembrandt said heading towards the market.

I could hear voices. One sounded like Jeremy Stork and the other one was not familiar. They were leaving and we were still sitting here. I tapped Sky on the arm and then stood.
"Where are you going?" she asked, obviously not paying attention.
"Jeremy Stork is right there, its our chance to talk to him," I replied, ambling towards the voices.
Sky took my arm and we walked over towards Jeremy, both of us hoping that he was in the line of our destiny.

I put on my cloak and with a cheerful goodbye, I left for home. The rain was over and the clouds were starting to clear away from the bright sun. When I got to my large farm house, I immediately threw open the door and scrambled to put together the important things. I barely realized my older sister Rachel (who I shared the house and farm with) was standing in the doorway, watching me intently with her arms folded across her chest. She cleared her throat, making me stop in mid-rush as I was about to searching for extra blankets.

"What do you think you're doing?" Rachel asked, glaring at me. Of course, she hated it when I tore through her clean and tidy house.

"Well, I... uh..." I stammered, trying to think of something to say to her. "Well, tomorrow I'm going to be leaving for a while... a long while."

"Oh," she said, leaning against the doorpost, keenly interested. "And for how long will this 'long while' be?"

"I-I'm not sure," I said, turning my back to her, pretending to gather up my things.

"You don't know how long?" There was no mistaking the frustration and surprise in her voice. "Well, do you at least know where you're going?"

"Not exactly... but I do know what I'm looking for at least." I whirled around to face her and stand my ground. Her eyes, the exact color and shape as mine, were flashing dangerously.

"How can you not know how long you are to be gone and where you are going! I'd at least hope you know who you'll be going with!"

"Of course!" I shouted back, defiant and angry.

"You can't go anyways, besides all the gaps in the 'adventure'; you know how much I need you here on the farm, the crops are about to start growing. You're staying here and that's final," she said giving me another look and stomping out the door.

I might as well've been deaf to what Rachel said. I still managed to pack and fold everything into 3 saddle bags, then stole away to my mare, Sundance. The palomino stuck her head out the stall and nickered.

"Shhh girl. We've got to be quiet if we want to escape," I whispered, stroking her velvety nose.

I'm back from vacation, time to post I think =)

Daniel

His room at the inn was small and had the appearance of having not been lived in with just two saddle bags laying on the bed, packed, as if ready for an adventure. Daniel gathered them both and headed back down the rotting, wooden staircase, dropping his key off at the bar before walking around to the stable.

The black stallion was in the end stall, looking placid which Daniel found unusual and he chattered to his companion quietly:

"Why so calm, old chum? It's time for us to have an adventure." Daniel busied himself with saddling the horse, checking his shoes, loading the saddlebags carefully so that the weight was even at both sides and then he led him out towards the front of the tavern and waited excitedly for the others to return.

Daniel couldn't have said why he felt so excited but his whole body seemed to tingle with the thought of adventure -- and all the pretty girls in the group, naturally. Through the grubby, cracked windows of the tavern, Daniel could see that the two leaders of the expedition were still in there, talking with a scattering of other people who gradually gravitated towards the door and left to collect their belongings.
