I stayed close to Daniel, not really sure of what else to do.

"How could we all possibly find what we needed traveling together?" I asked softly, trying to see the logic in it.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I'm looking for one thing, you're looking for a completely different thing, and most of the others here are also looking for different things. If we all set off together, who's to say we wouldn't accidently skip over the place you need to be? Or the place I need to be?" I explained, watching Daniel's face steadily.

Chloe:

After I stepped outside I didn't know what to do, so I just stood there. I watched a strange man have a conversation with a rock and scoffed. There sure were some looneys in this town. Then an announcment was made, about assembling a search group; searching for what though? I followed the boy who had not been talking to a rock, Jeremy, into the Tavern again and sat down at the table. Maybe there search could help my search, or at least tell me where I was.

Everyone was talking and nothing was getting done. I thought of a million spells I could have done. Then after everyone was sitting with us, even the blind girl I had nearly walked into earlier. The boy who talked into a rock silenced everyone.

"So what are we all searching for." I laughed, they didn't even know what they were searching for. It felt weird to laugh, I had barely smiled in the past couple of months. Some eyes adverted to me and I looked out the window hoping to just be ignored.
All you need is 20 seconds of insane courage, and I promise you something great will come of it.

[Fayne]

Fayne stood there, looking at the blind girl, Artemis. How do I answer that question without giving myself away...He asked himself in his mind, looking back at Schuyler. "Yes," He finally answered. "I believe this journey is worth while. He lead Artemis back to the table where he and Sky sat, handing another small bag of coins to Sky. If I give my money to all the girls in this place I'm going to be broke soon He said and smiled. Sky looked at the bag of coins in front of her in surprise.

"There's something about you," she said. " I think we could be good friends, and not just because you give me free cash." She laughed. "So what brings you here?"

"Adventure is what brings me here. Sky, this is Artemis." Fayne said as he watched the blind girl feel around for a stool. He gave her his and crouched down. "What brings the two of you here?"
Anti-Peta.

Sky

Sky's face hardened up, her expression immediatly turned stony. "Murderers," She said quietly. "That's what brings me here. Cold blooded killers, who seek nothing but power. They killed my family, and I won't rest till they are found. I've followed them here from village to village, and I hope I can have my peace soon."
The group was silent. Sky lowered her eyes. These people made her feel at ease. It felt like these people could read her soul, it made her feel bare, naked. She put on a happy face and decided to enjoy her company, after all, these people could help her. "So..." she said in a cheery tone, "What's your story?"

Artemis

I stared kindly at Fayne, and Sky, the girl who seemed to be filled with anger for some reason. I smiled softly to show that I wasn't incoherent.
"Well, I'm searching for where I belong. My parents abandoned me along time ago and I want to find out why. Who were they, you know? My journey may seem pointless but its all I've got." I replied, looking back and forth between Fayne and Sky.
Fayne had placed the cup of water in front of me, which I was thankful for. I took a small sip and then closed my eyes. Someone was hiding something from me. By the way their thoughts were muted, I could tell easily who it was. Curious, my eyes flew open and immediately locked on Fayne. He didn't startle like some would when they seen the purple tint of my eyes.
"Sometimes we search for things that we shouldn't try to find. Fate? Do any of you believe in fate?" I asked, softly.
I knew that this question wasn't right for the mood but what else would I say. If I were to put my trust in someone then I would need to know something about them. Life wasn't supposed to be about what hid behind the confines of the brain. I could read so much just by looking at someone but I didn't know how they truly felt.
"I'm sorry if I sound...trivial is it? But I don't have that much experience with others like me. I've been running all my life. But thanks for making me feel...normal." I replied, smiling.

[Fayne]

Fayne watched as Artemis stared at him. "Sometimes we search for things that we shouldn't try to find. Fate? Do any of you believe in fate?" She asked, taking another sip from her cup. "I'm sorry if I sound...trivial is it? But I don't have that much experience with others like me. I've been running all my life. But thanks for making me feel...normal."

"I don't believe in fate, not anymore." He replied, hoping to stop there. They both looked at him, Sky with somewhat of a concerned look, Artemis' face showing no expression. Fayne took a drink out of his cup, standing up. He could feel a presence trying to probe his mind, trying to find information. I hide my thoughts well, do I not? He said in his mind for the intruder to hear.
Anti-Peta.

Artemis

Fayne stood up from his chair rather abruptly, an expression I couldn't read spread across his face. He knew that I could read his mind but he seemed irritated.
"Fayne, I'm not reading your mind for information. I really wish that I couldn't hear your thoughts...I just wish I couldn't. Sometimes its frustrating getting to know people because of this...sorry. I'll leave if it makes you feel uncomfortable." I said, sadly.
I scooted back the chair, the sound burning my eardrums, and stood. I took one last look at Sky and Fayne and then took off towards the door. Speed really wasn't my ally because I had to feel around. When I was younger I was called firm and hard but since then I've changed. I actually cared what others feelings. If Fayne didn't like the fact that he was an open book, the least I could do was walk out of his life forever.

[Fayne]

Sky shot a glare at Fayne and he sighed. "Artemis!" He said, getting up and chasing after her, gently grabbing her arm and leading her back to the table. "I didn't know you couldn't help it, my apologies." He looked at Sky and she rolled her eyes. "Please, take a seat."
Anti-Peta.

Artemis

Okay this was weird. Usually after I apologized, people still sent me packing but...
I willingly took the seat, happy that I wasn't going anywhere soon. Sky seemed irritated and Fayne was quiet.
"If it makes you feel any better, I promise to tell you exactly what I'm thinking. Don't worry, you can trust me." I said, softly.
The atmosphere between the three of us eased up and everything was quiet.
"So what do we do from here?" I asked.
I wasn't about delaying things and I was in fact ready for the...adventure.

Sky

Sky smiled at Artemis. "I think we should leave the tavern, first off. I'm ready for something new."
She looked at Fayne and added shyly, "If that's alright with both of you?"
Sky stared out the window of the tavern as she waited for their replies. Suddenly, a shadow crossed by it. It was one of them, a silver blood, one of those crazy vampires who had killed her family. The shadow turned and looked directly at her, his gaze was ice, chilling her bones.

Artemis

"Yes, its alright with me but..." I started, nodding my head.
A silent quietness soaked the air. Sky's heart was dead, which it was from the very beginning, but somehow there was something else. Fear. Anger. I could hear a screeching noise coming from my left. Figures were passing by it, so I figured it was a window. The noise was so soft that it hurt my ears. I recognized the noise from my childhood. Death. Sky got up from her chair but I quickly caught her arm to keep her from stalking away.
"Killing them is not going to solve anything, besides you have something else to Search for," I said, glaring at her.
Anger boiled under her skin and pulsed through her body. The creature who was standing outside was staring at Sky with piercing eyes. I could feel the fire as the stare was engaged. Sky didn't move but I knew that she wanted to. Just as I would have wanted to, if I were looking a murderer in his eyes.
Fayne was silent through the whole scene, even his mind was silent. I didn't know if I could keep Sky back for long but I knew that if she went after them now, she'd die. Her death was in the air, smelling sweet as blooming roses. Soon, the eyes cooled to a stop. The cold-blooded one was gone.

Sky

Sky looked at Artemis. Her breath slowed, and she calmed down and composed herself. "I'm sorry." she said. "I didn't mean to be so rash."
She sat down on the cold floor of the tavern and put her head in her hands. "It's just that they took so much away from me. They stole my childhood away from me. They turned my father..." Sky was close to crying. Tears glistened in her eyes. She noticed them both glancing at her and composed herself.
"I'm fine now. Let's leave." She gave a sad smile. "I'm fine, don't worry about me."

Artemis

Sky seemed sad but she assured me that she was fine. Ready to leave, I got up and then looked over in Fayne's direction. He was quiet the whole time which was weird. Something told me that he wouldn't leave but why couldn't I hear him.
"Is Fayne still here?" I asked Sky, looking back in her direction.
She was still contemplating in her head. Which explained why she didn't answer me right away. I felt around for my cup and then picked it up, hoping that I didn't knock it over. But I did. The water dripped loudly onto the floor, making a slap sound. I bent over, feeling for the cup as it smashed to the ground as well. It rolled somewhere, and I dumbly tried going after it. When I did, someone fell, and then there was a loud burst of noise. Maybe it wasn't audible to everyone else but I could hear it vividly. It was the man's voice. The announcer who kept asking for people to join his Search. That word popped in my mind again bringing with it a flash of light. Destiny. Fate. Both tangled together as one. His voice was clearer than anyone I've ever encountered. Something hit me in the side of my face, a foot. I've been asking for destiny to slap me in the face and it did. This was the path me, Sky, and Fayne were supposed to go, I could feel it. But knowing Fayne, wherever his voice went, he'd disagree with a passion.
An arm pulled me up and set me straight. I stared, listening for the voice but I couldn't hear it.

Sky

Sky steadied Artemis as she sat back down. "Are you alright?" she inquired.
"Fine, thanks." Artemis murmered.
Sky heard a voice talking neer the table behind them. It was strong and imposing, and seemed to command her to listen. This could be interesting, she thought.

[Fayne]

Fayne shook his head, breaking his chain of deep thought. He looked around him, the floor was wet and Artemis' cup was on the ground. He bent over and grabbed it, setting it back on the table with a deep glare from the bartender. Both girls were looking at him, concerned. "What did I miss?" He said, trying to lighten the mood.

"I think we should go with him, that Jeremy Stork, was it? I feel like its...my fate." Artemis said, Sky nodded. Fate... Fayne thought, closing his eyes. Fate was what separated Celoa and I.. Maybe fate will help me find her once more.
Anti-Peta.

“Can a magician kill a man by magic?” Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. “I suppose a magician might,” he admitted, “but a gentleman never could.”
