Pirate

Lizzie~

"B-but I'd rather be out here. It's more fun!" I said with a pout.

Sydney:

"What if you get hurt?! I wouldnzt be able to forgive myself." I started crying. I sat down and pulled Lizzie to me. "I'm so sorry I got you into this..." I looked at her. I needed sleep desperately. "I...I...I think I'm in love." I admit to her, tears still flowing out of my eyes.

Lizzie~

I thought about this revelation. Sure, I was only 9, but I knew some things. "Well, with who? And Sydney, it's really Ok. I like it hear. A lot better than the orphanage. And nothing is going to happen. I'm too sneaky," I replied with a sly grin, hoping to cheer her up. I didn't like seeing someone as close to me as Sydney crying. It made me sad, too.

I wonder if I got my point across Julios thought to himself. I hope I didn't make her angry or sad or... Julios pushed her to the back of his thoughts as best he could. He had to focus on the ship.. and her. No his father had always said to focus on what was the here and now not the what if's. Julios readied his flint lock rifle and prepared for battle, only he still couldn't shake her from his thoughs.

Sydney:

"With Julios." I admitted. Then I laughed at myself and dried my eyes. "I'm being stupid. we're on the verge of being killed and I'm sitting her crying." I chuckled shakily. "I most be more tired than I thought." I smiled at her. "Please be careful. And try to stay out of the way." I rushed off and saw Julios. "Hey, is everything ready to fire?" I tried to sound professional, but I was still a bit shaken.

Everything that can fire is aimed at the waterline level. I am going to try to end it before it really starts. Julios looks at his weapons harness. He removes a pistol and hands it to her. "I can only fire two at a time, and your rank means you need the extra protection." He leans his head forward and kisses her on the lips and heads up the ladder to fight from the main deck

Lizzie~

I watched as Sydney ran off...to find Julios, obviously. I laughed and ran around to the watch point. The guy there was quite involved in whatever he was seeing. I understood why, quite soon. They were nearing our ship and it was all a matter of chance rather we'd be casught. I'd been through it so many times. So many times had Sydney skillfully maneuvered us to safety. I smiled at the thought. I didn't remember my parents at all, but that was fine. Sydney was the very next best thing. I decided to watch from the porthole of Sydney's room. The noise was aggravaating me, anyway.

Sydney:

I stand there for a moment. "Julios! Wait!" I rushed over to the ladder and he moves back down beside me. I take his head in mine and kiss him passionately for several minutes before finally releasing him. "Be careful." I whisper, a little breathless, looking down at my feet nervously.

"What I had wanted to say up there was, I lo... I love you." Julios said shaking and then finished his climb up the ladder only to see the eyes of a navy crew staring at him. He dropped back down the ladder and began yelling to fire the cannons.

Sydney:

I suddenly become calm. This is something I've done my whole life. I harden myself. "FIRE!" I yell. The echoing boom of the canon tells me my order was obeyed. But it's not enough. The sailors start to board the Bloody Revenge. Suddenly one of them is right in front of me.

"Now, aren't you a pretty little pirate. Maybe I'll spare your life...for a little something in return." he grinned.

I growled and drew my cutlass, running him through. "Or maybe I'll just kill you now." I growled. Someone came up behind me and I shot. The officers were staying safe aboard their ship. Several other saliors advanced on me at once.

"We'll have fun with you later." one of them taunted.

I tried to fight them off, but three against one tired captain do not make good odds.

I lunged into the fray and fired my first pistol into a mans turned head and the pther pistol discharged into anothers chest. My cutlass slashing the fianls throat and narowly missing Sydneys head. I pulled the limp bodies away from her and dragged her to the cannon room where I hoped we would be safe

Sydney:

I leaned against the wall in the canon room, exhausted. "Thanks." I said, closing my eyes. "I don't know what I would do without you."

Lizzie~

I whimpered. It had become violent fast! Such murder! Would they try to come in here?! That was a scary thought. I really coudn't handle sailors and I didn't want them to touch me. Finally, I hid everything in the room that was valuable and decided to sneak off to where Julios had taken Sydney. I snuck out of the room and hid behind a barrel. Clear. I sprinted then, to antoher barrel. A sailor was running by. I held my breath. Finally the coast was clear again. I sprinted to the barrle right next to the entrace of the cannon room. A couple of pirates were hanign around, so I come out of hiding. They glanced at me, then turned back to the task at hand. I ran into the room as my eyes adjusted to the darkness.

"No poblem" Julios said winceing from a wound in his side. He covered the wound with a rope and hoped she didnt see it. He bagan to load one of his pistols to be ready if someone came in

Sydney:

I gasped. "Your hurt!" I rushed over to him and examed the wound. "I'm so sorry! This is my fault!" I heard a noise, and drew my cutlass. I relaxed and the panicked when I saw it was Lizzie. "Are you okay?! Your not hurt are you?! If somebody touched you, I'll go run them through! Are you alright?!"
