"Do I look like I care what the court thinks?" I challenged. "But, like I said, I don't care. Do what you want. But you can't have your cake and eat it too." I said, stalking off.
Lilith smiled as Grace clung to her leg. "Tell him your name sweetie," she said softly, squating down to Grace's level.
"G-Grace." She stammered. Grace soon recovered from her shyness and looked at Lilith. "I'm hungry. You left for two days," her bottom lip quivered, "and Tyrath wouldn't let me eat with him and his brother." Lilith smiled softly at her daughter.
His eyes widened in shock. "Does this mean your staying?!" He almost screamed. He was overjoyed! But, he didn't want to get his hopes up. What if she said that she didn't want to stay? Or what if she stayed, but fell in love with one of the other fairies?! He shoved his hands in his pocket and stood up, looking down at his feet, waiting for her answer.
Mimi came out from behind his leg. He grabbed Lilith and hugged her tightly, forgetting about the little girl attached to her. "I love you!" he whispered in her ear, overjoyed.
He smiled down at the two of them. They were adorable. He pulled Lilith back into his arms and kissed the top of her head. "You must be starving." He whispered in her ear. She nodded. He smiled. "Are you hungry, Grace, Mimi?" he asked politely.
He pulled lilith and Grace behind him, taking them to the court room. I took them to the food table. Grace's eyes lit up and she started eating everything. Tristan pulled Lilith into his arms. "Do I have to let you go?" he asked.
"No," she whispered in reply, every now and then glancing at Grace. Lilith smiled and turned, now facing Tristan. She smiled up at him, and he smiled back.
Lilith laughed and walked over to Grace. "Do you like it?" She asked.
Grace nodded. "It's better than the food at home. When are we going home Mo-Sissy?" Grace corrected herself. Lilith smiled.
"You are such a smart girl...we aren't going back," she hid the sadness in her voice and replace it with happiness. "You are going to love it here Gracie. There is so much to do and you and Mimi will be good friends I'm sure."
"Are you hungry, Sissy." She said the name Sissy with a weird tone.
"No, not at the moment. I want you to eat," Lilith replied as Grace picked up the fork the wrong way. "This way," she smiled, turning the fork the right way. Grace giggled and took a bite of cake.
He smiled as he watched Lilith and Grace. He cared for both of them. He was so glad that Lilith had decided to stay. He couldn't live without her. He knew that much.
I watched mommy take a bite of bread. She never really ate as much as she should had. She would always save her food and give it to me so I wouldn't get sick. I smiled and handed Mommy a peice of cake. She declined with a 'thank you though'. I pouted until she finally took a bite. "Mommy, do you like that man?" I asked in a very quiet whisper and pointed to the other man in the dining room. Mommy put her index finger over her lips and made a shh sound. She nodded and smiled, her finger still on her lips, which made me giggle.
