The Faerie Court

Okay, so I fell in love with this idea a few weeks ago and I thought it would make a pretty fun storybook. Parts taken from all over.

The court of the faerie queen is a colourful, exotic place. Tables piled high with delicious fruit and sweets surround the dancers and the jousters. There is music and revelry all day and all night long.

The old rules apply: a human may come to court, but take one bite of food and they have to stay there for seven years. The faeries are not evil, but they don't worry about the human world around them, and will try to seduce the humans to live with them forever by any means possible.

You can be:

-The Queen
-A Knight -the faerie knights must follow their queen's orders exactly, no matter what they are, be warned.
-A courtier-one of the revellers.
-A faerie worker- maybe in the kitchens. Maybe you're a spinner. Maybe you're an oracle. Whatever.
-A human- whom the faeries are trying to persuade to stay with them. You can try to get out, or you can give in.
-A changeling- a human child stolen by the faeries when they sleep. Perhaps you want to return to your family, or perhaps you no longer want to be human.

All characters have to be in court or coming into court (in human cases) at the beginning of the Storybook.

Obviously we can only have one queen. Please try to keep the male/female ratio pretty even...

Be imaginative in your characters! They don't have to follow any set of rules, but they have to be either faerie or human. But faeries can have wings, or tails, or ears, or maybe they're centaurs. Maybe they can turn into a wolf at will. Make them as colourful and as interesting as you can!

Name: Kitty (real name Mimi)

personality: she is playful and curouios, thats why the fairies call her kitty.

history: She was captured by the Queen. Now she is treated like the princess of the fairy courts. Kitty came from Italy. But she was taken as a baby.

other: she has an imaginary friend- the ghost in the picture. She calls her Tonton.

Oooo may I be the ghost friend? or would that not work...?

Otherwise I can be a faerie worker (teenager, slightly rebellious?).

I'd love if you were a worker ... Maki kinda said the ghost was imaginary... but you can have two characters!

Name: Aurora

Age: 18

Breed: courtier

Gender: female

Personality: she's shy and quiet. She loves nature and is best friend of the queen. She can have a temper, but tends to be more soft natured.

History: Her parents were personal servants of the Queen and she blessed them by raising their only child as her own. Even in her harshness, she came to befriend the young fairy, and has her as her personal servant.

Apperance: Light and thin. Incredibly beautiful with red curly hair and fiery green eyes.

(Can we have two characters? If not, then ignore my second one!)

Name: Tristan

Age: 20

Breed: Human

Gender: Male

Personality: Strong steeled. He is quiet and has always loved nature. Doesn't know a lot of people, but is friend of the prince. He is sort of a recluse and sworn that he will never married. Very gentlemanly and sweet.

History: He was raised at court and grew up with the prince who he befriended and was supposed to be advisor to. However, he saw a gorgeous creature in the forest one day and was drawn away from the human realm into a fantastic court. (newly arrived. Hasn't eaten anything yet)

Appearance: Light blond shaggy hair and steel blue eyes. tall and muscular. Usually wears boots.

As no one has taken her yet, I'm going to claim the Queen!

Name: Faede

Race: Faerie

Occupation: Queen.

Age: looks around 20, but remember time does not pass in the realm the same way it does in the human world, she is in fact, centuries old, as are all her courtiers.

Appearance: beautiful, as any queen should be, but in a wild way. She has black, black hair down to her waist, with some braids in it, with beads and feathers plaited in. She has perfect porcelain skin, but her hands are tatooed in glorious colours. She wears the glittering tiara handed down though the females in her family. Has violet eyes. She is tall and stately, but very thin.

Personality: explosive. She can be angry one minute and ecstatic the next. Her courtiers have learnt to deal with this. When in a bad mood, she will order her knights and ladies-in-waiting to do impossible tasks, in a good mood she is likely to jump onto her feet and join the dancing. She adores music, but her favourite toys of all are humans. They find it hard to resist her and she enjoys snaring them and keeping them by her side to entertain her.

And my second character is going to be a minstrel.

Name: Owen

Age: 24

Race: Faerie

Occupation: courtier, minstrel.

Appearance: small and slight. He has sandy hair and bright blue eyes. He has thin, transparent turquoise wings

History: has lived in court all his life.

Personality: eager to please. He is incredibly talented with his lute and is often called upon to play. He is a hopeless romantic, and loves to flirt with anyone. Very charming. He will go the extremes for love, and friendship. He is friendly and helpful, but when he gets angry, he gets very angry.

Name: Galeis (guh-lays)

Species: Selkie, or water fairy

Age: 16

Galeis came to the court after her family was killed by fishermen(they wer in seal form) Because of this, she has a somewhat cold exterior, and a general mistrust of humans(which I would love to see destoyed!)but is rather warm and caring on the inside.

can Galeis and Kitty be friends?

Gender: Female

Personality: Fun-loving, carefree, and loyal

History: She lives on her own with her young, four year old, daughter, Tama. She was raped at 14. She recently arrived but has not eaten anything yet.

Personality: she loves cooking and sometimes virtually forces her food down peoples' throats, bubbly and always happy, loves athletic things, and is a trickster

History: she has worked in the kitchen for as long as she can remember

Appearance: tall, average weight, but lean and muscular from her exploits (like climbing huge trees, etc.)
