"No need to be," she managed to choke out. Renian looked up from her feet, sadly noticing where they were. "Anyway, thanks for your help," she said as a small cabin came into veiw. A white and black cat paced in front of the door, mewing. Oh no. I forgot about Striker. She sighed and stopped. She bowed, thanking Tyrant one last time before begining to run towards the small cabin.
Renian stopped and bit her lip as she picked up the still mewing, Striker. "Um..." she rubbed the back of her neck and thought for a while. "As long as there isn't alot of town activity or if it's in the forest. If you want you can come in for a while," she smiled at him, placing her hand on the door.
"I'll show you the waterfall I found a while back." He smiled walking over. "I don't think anyone has been there before. If you have, I'll have to find somethign else."
"No I haven't been there before." Renian said as she pushed her cabin door open. Striker jumped out of her arms and landed on a stool, still mewing for food. Renian grabbed a wooden bowl and filled in with goat's milk. "Sorry, I forgot to feed my cat this morning," Renian laughed. Striker jumped off the stood and ran to the bowl, begining to lap up the milk.
Tyrant laughed as he watched the cat running for the food. "You would think he was starving." He laughed, "Reminds me of me when I was a kid."
"Really, how so?" Renian asked looking up at him.
"I was a bottomless pit. Anything that was put in front of me was gone like I'd never eaten before." He laughed, "Thankfully I grew out of that, I wouldn't be able to live if I didn't. To much money in the food."
Renian laughed along with him as she pulled her ripped cape off, finally exposing her black ears and tail. He'll run now I bet. She looked at Tyrant. He hadn't moved and didin't even look suprised. "What? You aren't scared of a demon?" She asked, rumaging around for a needle and thread.
"What do you mean?" Tyrant asked in reply.
"You know...humans like you see a half-bred demon and the either run, kill, or spit on it like it's a peice of worthless trash." Renian looked at him, very confused.
"Humans like me??" He smiled, "To bad all humans weren't like me. You wouldn't have to worry about walking around town, now would you." He leaned against a wall and looked at the cat.
"Why don't you run?" She asked,
"Because, I once knew a very nice demon." He said looking at her. "He saved my life."
All truly wise thoughts have been thought already thousands of times; but to make them truly ours, we must think them over again honestly, till they take root in our personal experience. — Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
